Sheraton Ottawa Hotel

We stayed in the Sheraton Ottawa for 5 nights while visiting from the UK.
The rooms are a little dated and the large gap between the door and the door frame does let in light from the hallway. That said they are a really good size and the king size beds are very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.
The team at the hotel are fantastic. From the minute we walked in on Christmas Eve and were greeted by Pam, we felt welcome. Check in was quick and we went to our rooms with extra tea bags and some delicious cookies and muffins courtesy of Pam. Perfect after a long day of travelling. The bag of sweets left on all door handles on Christmas morning was another lovely touch.
The team in the bar/restaurant (particularly Fiona) were also great. Friendly, helpful and attentive they recommended food and drink and made us feel very welcome throughout.
Every member of the hotel team we spoke to was great and they are a credit to the hotel.
The location of the Sheraton is good with Parliament Hill a 5 minute walk away, with Byward Market and Rideau Centre Mall a little further. We reached all visitor attractions and restaurants by feet without the need for public transport.
All in all we were very happy with the choice we made to stay at the Sheraton Ottawa and would recommend it to others.

Good hotel with comfortable beds and clean rooms. Good location with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Very presentable hotel. The reception part of the lobby is not big, however as you walk towards the bar it gets bigger. The rooms are spacious.

The hotel is in the downtown area, within walking distance of bars restaurants and shops.

Room was very comfy, bed was great, everything clean. But it was very stingy overall. Breakfast not included, just two coffee pods and two creamers in our room, no biscuit or chocolate on the pillow. Pool was shut. When the pool is shut, you should be trying your best in other areas to make up for it. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. Disappointing for the price.

I can honestly say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything was super clean. All of the staff were amazing and friendly. The location is excellent and close to many things. I would definitely recommend staying at the Sheraton if you are staying in Ottawa.

The place was good, but there is more noisy because of the workers that worked all day outside. The beds in the room weren’t so comfortable. But the staff and everything else were so good

All walls had splatter marks on them in streaks. You can see them at a certain angle with light.

When we first arrived in our room, there was loud drilling due to the construction that was quite disturbing. We called the front desk and they moved us to a higher floor immediately, with no issues. The higher floor was wonderful, we stayed for 6 nights. Lots of space in our room, and the staff was professional and courteous. Security guards were friendly and joked around with me often. Rooms are a bit outdated, but we had so much space we didn’t care. Bathtub drained slowly, but room was clean and well stocked. Perfect location! We didn’t have to drive anywhere. We took a few walks to Parliament Hill, and the shopping mall. I would stay here again when we return.

Got a king room and it felt very small. We reserved about 3 weeks in advance and when we arrived to check in, the front desk had to "find us a room" which took way too long considering we booked and pre-paid.
The valet parking was a joke. They misplaced our car and brought us a different one, only for us to say it wasn't ours. The attendee didn't understand how it wasn't our car since their side of the ticket/receipt was in that car. Somebody messed up when putting cars away and put our ticket in another car.
Then a separate occasion, we needed to get an item from our car so the valet attendee brought us down in the garage. We stood by our car while the attendee grabbed keys for a mini-van and unlocked that for us. We had to tell him those weren't the keys to our car.
Having to check in with the front desk and sign the covid waver was annoying for every time we wanted to use the fitness centre. I understand the first time, but if we used the pool at night, slept in our room then in the morning wanted to use the gym, we had to go back down to front desk to sign a new form, instead of having access already. Same scenario for then using the pool again in the afternoon.
The water in the shower had a strange odour to it, the water from the tap (we had to use it for drinking) tasted odd. The shampoo and conditioner were not the best or most pleasant smelling but it did the trick for a few nights.
Overall: if I had the option, I'd stay at a different brand of hotel next time. This particular Sheridan did not live up to the Sheridan name and brand.

The Sheraton Ottawa (Albert St) is centrally located in the downtown core, an easy walk to the market, canal, Parliament Hill and more. It is also 1 block from the nearest LRT station. The hotel is clean and well managed, with a good restaurant and bar on the ground floor as well as very good catering for large events. They have a penthouse meeting room that is very comfortable and well appointed. Service here is always professional, courteous and quick - we go here regularly for large national meetings of our volunteer organization. Recommended!

I'm a Titanium Elite member of Marriott which means I stay a lot at Marriott hotels (including Sheraton) for business and personal purposes; by far Sheraton Ottawa is the worst Marriott/Sheraton I ever stayed in. The receptionists I dealt with were the worse ever; rude, dry and very unhelpful. I don't mind the hotel is completely outdated (for the price and location it supposed to be much better) but I really care about how they treat their guests. I don't recommend this hotel at all, stay away; any other Marriott hotel will be much better.

Nous avons payé nos deux nuits à notre arrivé et il nous on demandé un dépôt de 300$, ce que nous avons déposé sans problème. À notre départ, la dame nous mentionne qu’elle nous redonne seulement 260$ de notre dépôt pour payer les deux nuits de stationnements (20$ ch). Par contre, lorsque nous avons payé les nuits il avait bien mentionné que c’était le montant total incluant les stationnements. Un dépôt c’est un montant qui est totalement retourné à la personne s’il n’y a pas de dommages, problèmes, etc. Nous avons mentionné notre mécontentement face à leur manque de clarté et la dame ne faisait que répéter « ok, ok, ok » un service à la clientèle médiocre.

Very very nice staff who pointed out that street parking was free on Saturdays. Excellent clean room. Good rate through Hotwire.

Great hotel, very nice customer survice they are always smiling and welling to help you as they can, the valet is very nice. I loved everything in this hotel and I was sad to leave due to high rates. Thank you very much?

Our stay is very good. Considering all the strict Covid policy, we enjoyed our stay. Place is clean and staff are very friendly and attentive to our requests.
Two comments though:
1. The valet parking service is a little inconvenient. Parking fee with Valet or not maybe the same, I still prefer to handle my car on my own. For some practical reasons. Also, once every thing goes back to normal, the valet parking service may cause a lot of inconvenience and pressure to the valet parking staff.
2. The toilet (not sure of the right term) is old and consumes a lot of water.

All in all i'd say it's a very good spot if you want to stroll around Parliament hill.

Great location, clean and comfy rooms, Todd at the front desk was great with recommendations for bike trails, where to walk our dog, etc. Would stay here again, for sure!

Very comfortable, with amenities in the hotel room. Bathroom looked usable even though my girlfriend and I hadn't used it for showering. Bed was cushy and able to handle us having a wild time. If you're looking for a place to have fun, I recommend it.

Nice and hospitable, quiet, free parking during weekends across the road, hotel also offers paid parking. Good 4 star experience.

Hôtel très bien placé pour visiter la plupart des attractions à Ottawa. Service de voiturier vraiment abordable et bien pratique. Les chambres ne sont. Pas les plus grandes et modernes, mais cela suffit largement et un point fort c’est vraiment bien insonorisé. J’ai vraiment aimé la gym et surtout la piscine à l’eau salée, magnifique piscine intérieure vraiment super agréable et d’une propreté remarquable.

The location of this Sheraton is great and very convenient. The service was great, just like every other Sheraton. However, the premises need significant renovation and upgrades. Sadly, their rooms and amenities are barely at par with Four Points (Bonvoy Category 2 or 3).

The Sheraton generously donates to all of the various charities that I volunteer for throughout the city. The rooms are comfortable and an excellent value for the price of the hotel. I would definitely recommend the Sheraton to any tourist who wants to stay in the downtown Ottawa area

Nice hotel.
Well situated in the core of Ottawa city only 2 blocks away from Parliament Hill.
The staff is incredibly awesome.
Very accommodating, no questions asked, they just did what was needed to help out with our tour.
As a result the tour was a large success.
The hotel Room was spacious, bright, airy, and very nicely laid out.
Most importantly it was quiet!
The cleaning staff person was very understanding and very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
The front desk team were very accommodating and understanding to a couple of unique requests.
The concierge extremely helpful, courteous and friendly.
A must stay hotel for a next time a visit to Ottawa
