Convenient location off of Hwy 7 where all the food is located. Sheraton's own pool is small. The Racquet & Pool club is quite packed so don't recommend trying to use it (also to note: it is quite a confusing walk to get there). The insides of the room is somewhat new and clean enough for a stay.
I frequent this hotel regularly and love the atmosphere and service. Highly recommended for work. Outside the city of Toronto but close to the motorways
The room was excellent although there was no toothpaste in it. I got it from the front desk. When I checked in a lady with cool balayage hair helped us. But her service was not satisfactory. She was kind of condescending when my mom didn't know the pin of her credit card because she usually taps only. She also wasn't apologetic that the credit machine misbehaved. We saw two transactions. Another thing I wanted to note was that we were disappointed at the smaller pool and the fitness room; we couldn't find the bigger ones. The water was not heated and felt dirty.
I've been a frequent guest at this hotel, but recent changes in management have pushed me to stay at the Hilton across the street in the future.
Cons: 1. I've encountered some issues with the front desk staff who, on occasion, have displayed less-than-friendly attitudes, making guests feel unwelcome.
2. The hotel's public parking lot, while convenient, lacks effective management, leading to problems with double-parking and inconsiderate drivers.
3. The advertised EV charging station is not owned by the hotel, which can be misleading for guests looking to use this service.
4. They don't always honour guests who prefer not to have housekeeping services every day.
5. There have been instances where the cleanliness of the rooms was not up to the expected standards.
Pros:
1. The location remains a strong point for this hotel, conveniently situated near Hwy 7 & 404.2. The fitness club offers an array of amenities, including a large indoor pool, hot tub, and outdoor pool, which are shared with Best Western, providing enjoyable options for relaxation.
Not at all what I though or haven grown to expect from a Marriot. When I arrived there at approximately 8pm the room was warm so I proceeded to program the thermostat to lower temperature however that did not work and the room got to 27 degrees later that night, the room appeared to be cleaned however later on I found used tissues and dirty clothes stashed under the vanity in the bathroom. The door scrapped as it shut/opened so much so that a few times it stayed open leaving my personal effects unsecure as I was away for a late supper. The second day the toilet back up thankfully contained itself to the bathroom which was easily fixed by the servicing departing. This appeared to be an easy fix for them which is the only reason why I'm giving them 2 stars as they replaced the A/C unit when they came in to fix the toilet issue. The remainder of the staff were rude and made snide jesters and remarks with all every interaction.
Been there as second time due to good location but will not return. Room where not cleaned well, little noisy after 11pm but the security came and that was fine, pool was so dirty. However, front desk where nice as always.
Clean and beautiful hotel. Stayed on the 9th floor which had a club with drinks and cookies set out 24hrs, very helpful for those of us with midnight munchies. The manager was also really nice, spending time to provide clarity when needed and being flexible with accommodating our requests. Only flaw was that my party of 4 adults and 2 infants had called weeks ahead to book 2 rooms with connecting doors and we were assured of getting it, but we weren't given on arrival. Otherwise, great hospitality and good breakfast in the main restaurant.
This was our organization's first in person event since pre-covid. The hotel staff were extremely kind and adhered to all COVID protocols. All of our participants felt very safe. The venue was gorgeous and the food was delicious. Hotel staff were extremely organized and accommodating during both the conference as well as the planning stages. I would happily return. Thank you to Winnie Lau for all of your hard work!
Parking is a headache at peak hours. Customers from surrounding businesses and restaurants all park here, not sure whether the parking lot is supposed to be shared.
Pros: * Hotel is located with convenient access to 404 and 407. * Parking is free. * Suites have a jacuzzi bathtub, microwave, and refrigerator. * If you have Plat status you get free breakfast (eggs any style, sausage/bacon, hash, and toast).
Cons: * Dated rooms (can't watch Netflix on TVs). * Poor sound proofing (can hear toilets flushing, people talking, etc).
Overall ok for one or two nights, but for longer stays I would go somewhere else.
We always a nice stay here at the Sheraton for staycations. The staff are polite and the new Celebrations Package is amazing value - cant believe dinner and a room can be as low as 200 dollars-ish! And free parking! The building is quite unsightly from the outside but inside is so pleasant!
My wife booked this place. The room was OK. At night, we had very noisy neighbors. We called the front desk, but thy did not do anything. I had to knock at their door at ask them to lower the noise. They did not listen to me, but 15 min after (1am) I knocked, they stopped. Quite disappointed that the hotel did not take any extra measures about it. Furthermore, The hotels nearby have chargers for EV vehicles, this one does not have it. I parked my car at the Hilton and walked to this place, not the ideal situation.
Nice hotel, Sal at the front desk was exceptional. 10 minute drive to the subway to go to downtown Toronto. Hotel restaurant has nice breakfast options. Large shower, clean rooms, and nice pool.
I have stayed at this property for years. I must say it has such warm and hospitable service. From the front desk, the clean rooms and excellent food. I highly recommend the property. Everyone really makes you feel like you are home.
Attended a business meeting at this hotel. Did not stay as a guest but my overall experience was really good. Very clean, knowledgeable and helpful staff, plenty of parking spots, in house restaurant and Starbucks.
This hotel is surprisingly quiet. It's very clean. Our room is pretty large and we feel very comfortable in it. The parking space is a bit limited but armed with patience it's fine. There's plenty of restaurants nearby, some of them you can walk to. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.
Big showers, nice and clean. Issue with the thermostat in our room, but no complaints. Nice sizeable gym, shared with best Western and the public. Very helpful and polite staff.
Hosted an event here. Staff helpful, if a bit prickly about bringing Tim Horton's coffee into an establishment with a Starbucks in it. Rooms nice. Buffet dinner for our group was excellent. Close to lots of stores and restaurants, easy access to highway. Would totally use them again for a conference or convention.
Was at hotel recently for a meeting - meeting facilities were fine and no issues, however, the service at the Starbucks was less than poor. After being completely ignored, I was told they had almost no food options available and my drink sat for 3 mins because one employee was counting on another to put it up on the bar but never actually communicated it.
Substandard choice of room location! Floors shared with family gatherings and very noisy! Put across from the ice and vending machine! Staff not accommodating claiming hotel is nearly full and kids fired up being aloud to use pool. Inconsideration shows what type of establishment their running!
Personally I love this hotel and other perks of this hotel. Although one thing I wish that the gym possesses is a time stamp for badminton and basketball so I don't have to guess
Attended a Christmas event, nice selection of food and drink, pleasant atmosphere, spacious and well laid out. Several commented that although most of the staff was very pleasant, bartenders were impersonal and at times, curt.
Honestly, I don't even remember visiting it. So, I guess it wasn't a mind-blowing experience, then; which isn't great, but it's not really a bad thing either. Nor was it a life-altering experience, nor a life-changing one.
I was able to get the relatively new wing. Was very clean and respectful service. The location of the hotel was also very optimal and there there a lot of good food place in a 10 minutes radius.
A great hotel that I visit ofteb for work. I love the Christmas decorations! They always provide a great meal and the kitchen and serving staff are outstanding! No complaints!
Room was clean and checkin was easy. Staff were very professional and personable. Room location was a bit noisy as it was directly beside the elevators. No other issues though.
There is a plaque in the lobby saying they are a 4 diamonds hotel. Well, room 516 looked like a Comfort Inn room. Very standard room with rug on the floor. I don't know where the rooms they show on their website are, but mine was not like them.
I took a look around the first floor, and saw 4 stagnant puddles where I assume there was once a fountain. I then looked at the ceiling and saw mould.
Service at the restaurant was chaotic, as servers have difficulty even communicating between themselves. I paid for the buffet, which is 17.99$ for a continental breakfast that is often complimentary anywhere else. But apparently this was the only way to get a lot of fruits in your plate.
Oh and where in Canada do they still charge wifi to their guests? Sheraton Parkway, that's where! 7.99$ for 24 hours on up to 5 devices. Woooo.
Great event space. The food was delicious, the decor was lovely. The staff wasnt very friendly but it was a large event and it was busy. I'd return for the event!
It is very nice, i didn't stay in the hotel for a night, i was only there for an event that was being held there but i like the way that things are layed out and the decor that they use, there is also a Starbucks and a few other stores in the or connected to the building (i only cared about the Starbucks). No discrimination as i was there for speak ot (an event for queer people and allies to learn and talk about problems).
I attended a Christmas party for BMW Markham with my boyfriend, and had the best time. The decor was great, and the catered food was outstanding. The butternut squash soup stood out to me, and I'm not a soup person.
Good location with free covered parking. However they only gave us 2 towels on the first night and 3 towels on the second night even they know we are a family of 4.
I paid for my room through priceline. I was asked for my credit card for incidentals. Its been 2 weeks and noone knows when il have the incidentals money returned back to me. I just called again and had to leave a message for accounting because front desk doesnt know much. For a hotel like “sheraton” youd think the service would be better. Never staying in a sheraton again. Becareful out of towners!
Beautiful hotel! The room I stayed in was very clean and laid out well. I also love how you can get money for food and drink there by having them not wash your bedding or towels! Not too far from a whole area of delicious restaurants as well! Definitely recommend!
Good clean hotel. Service was excellent and the bar area was nice for a night cap. Our room felt very small though. Overall, though a very pleasant stay.
Ample parking, easy to find, clean, elegant reception areas, prompt and friendly service at the Starbucks, but long lines during morning hours, public bathrooms are clean and well-stocked, staff are friendly, professional and helpful
22-Sept-2018 3 star because the room was not what I had expected from a 4 star Hotel. The room was same or worst than Best Western 3 star Hotel on Estate Drive in Scarborough.
Management (Indian guy) 5 star for his excellent Service. It's due to him and all the staffs that I have given a 3 star. The Indian greeted me with a Smile while he was already serving a customer over the phone and he asked his staff to take care of me. Outstanding customer service from the supervisor. Double checked if I was served and satisfied Remembered my request and came over to me and sent someone to my room. All other staffs at the counter were professional and good.
All 4 cleaning ladies staff I have crossed by and the room service boy were very helpful and cheerful.
Now about my room 2 x bouble size beds instead of 2 x queen size. Light javel sent Alot of coffee stains on carpet Ceiling dusty where the AC/Heating wind hits. Furniture chipped on many places Iron water cap broken Garbage didn't have bags Shower ceiling had stains Bathroom tiles with small black stains Bathtub layers of plastic carpet but none there
Mentioned about the dust to a staff and asked him to send some one to clean the room as well. The staff did send someone while I was away. The room was cleaned and beds redone nicely but the dust on the ceiling remained there. Most likely a miscommunication. I didn't complain again.
The hotel in general is very beautiful like a 4 star hotel.
I would like to recommend Sheraton to renovate all rooms and clean all air ducks.
Sheraton your staffs are what made my experience a plaisent one.
At a lower price, I would go back again because I know the staff will treat me well.
Went to caesar spa for a massage. The masseuse was very good and professional. After the massage they offered a tea. The atmosphere is very professional and clean
Was there for a suit fitting event with Maxwell. This hotel is clean, modern, and spacious. The conference room that was used was also to this standard.
