North is a hyper dog that he doesn't like to be hold, so he doesn't feel comfortable with strangers usually.but Sophia Lee was amazing, North had 0 trouble when she was examining him.

BE CAREFUL of what they prescribe!
I came to them for my dog’s diarrhea. My dog was very excited and everyone was friendly and patient. However, after spending $400+ for the visit and two weeks taking the prescribed food and medication, my dog’s diarrhea didn’t get any better. So I checked the food they prescribed and it had chicken meal - even though I explicitly told BOTH the vet assistant and the vet that my dog was allergic to chicken! This is very unbelievable and I shouldn’t have trusted them.

This place needs a manager. A highly skilled, organized, business manager to keep things on time, to deal with money and appointments etc. This has always been the down side to this vet, now it is a disaster.
I had a basic vaccine appt for a nervous dog. I travelled 35 min to get there. The vet was more than 45 min behind schedule. Then I had to wait 20 min for my "invoice to be ready" then I was billed the wrong amount, stopped in the street by the receptionist to say I owed more but they would call me, they emailed an invoice from a year ago - with a series of different items- asking I pay the difference. Every email is from a different person and no one knows what they're doing. I don't like change but I absolutely cannot manage this place for one more visit. Do not recommend.

Amazing staff took great care of my girl. I work 8-5 and was able to drop off for the day and pick up on my way home without issue. Super convenient for us!

I had an amazing experience here, the front desk staff was so friendly and helpful! Dr. Oscar was incredible with my cat Zoey. He was patient, caring, and provided excellent care. Will definitely be coming back!

I have visited Sherbourne Animal Hospital with my puppy for her initial exam and vaccines. Dr. Robson is absolutely amazing. I cannot praise him highly enough. After recently losing my older dog (at another vet), I was very anxious about bringing my puppy to the vet. However, Dr. Robson's quiet confidence, professionalism, and kindness made me feel assured that she was in the best possible care.

I will say that the clinic does seem to be more expensive than the previous vet I have used and I may have to take her elsewhere for any large procedures (out of financial necessity), but I am very happy with the care we have received here and would definitely recommend to others looking for a vet in the city.

Every time I visit the vet I'm impressed by the care, professionalism, and transparency of the SAH team. I feel confident that they're taking care of my pet with the same attentiveness as they would their own, and their dedication to ensuring I understand all my care options puts me at ease. I recommended SAH to a friend who was dissatisfied with her vet and she was similarly impressed with SAH. I've been dealing with vets for 20+ years and SAH is by far the best.

Dr. Oscar was attentive and kind, at the same time highly professional and a great expert. We totally loved the hospital and the personnel!

They always take great care here. Very nice people. Always educate and explain things. It’s njce to have a vet you trust and they always do a great job.

Fees have increased by astounding amounts over the past year, including over 150% of a surgical procedure and 250% for a check up from 12 months ago.

Care is standard, no complaints or specific praises. It can be difficult to get appointment time slots (though alleviated by drop off appointments).

Pricing has now outgrown service provided. Will be going elsewhere

Edit: The surgical procedure quote for the exact same line items went from $1400 to near $2200.

The last vaccination appointment I attended the total was $105 vs the $250 charged this time. It was ~$40 for the consultation vs the $100 this time. This is backed by my receipts and records that I do in fact keep.

The surgical quote was from 14 months ago and the vaccination from appointment from 15 months ago.

Please don't paint an untrue and unfair picture. If you are going to respond back, please respond truthfully.

My cat was neutered here. Whoever administered the general anaesthetic did a brilliant job. He was alert, playful, and had a great appetite only a few hours after the procedure. They call you a few times before your appointment and after to check in with you and your pet. Owners are always in the exam room with their pets. My experience here has been great every time. I will be very happy to bring my pets back here!

My little corgi boy was injured, and we had to take him to the vet. They have this amazing service to pick up and drop your pet. They are also very proactive in calling up once they have checked your pet.

I’ve been coming here for a while and have unfortunately come to the same conclusion: these vets are trying to make money off of you however they can.

I was told by Dr. Oscar (who I’m not a fan of) that my cat had early signs of gingivitis and would suggest getting his teeth cleaned soon.

I went to 2 different vets confirm that my cat has built a little tartar but his teeth look great.

I’ve also had the vets email /call telling me that my cat is due for annual vaccines when he actually has recieved 3 year vaccination shots administered BY THEM. If I hadn’t checked, this could have been a big problem for my cat.

On top of that, Their always trying to upsell and customer service isn’t great. I’ve told them I didn’t want my cat eating purina and they did just that and were cavalier about my concerns after the fact.
One other instance, my cat was getting neutered and they hadn’t mentioned they’d have a vet I hadn’t met conduct the surgery - while this can seem minute they treated me as though I was crazy and let me change the appointment as a result of my concerns.

I don’t recommend this vet - Dr. Robson is one of the decent ones. But other than that, you all could do better. The employee turnaround here isn’t great either. My vet had left and so had others.

Sherbourne Animal Hospital saw my cat on very short notice, even before I was a client. My former vet could not do this. Sherbourne 'worked him in' and he was examined within an hour and prescribed medication. I changed vets right after that. They were able to 'work' the same cat in, a second time, when he developed a skin rash. He got his medication quickly, he and his brother are getting food supplements and special diet. They received a 'senior cat' exam, and had their teeth cleaned, all with great professionalism.

Sherbourne Animal Hospital is amazing. The staff is very professional & they genuinely care about our fur babies. They’re all very patient and understanding, to explain any procedure (s).

Had a horrible experience here a few months ago. They pushed me to get more diagnostics than necessary by threatening need for emergency amputation on my already amputated cat. Such an unnecessary stressful experience for me and my cat just so they could get a few more bucks. Do not recommend. I was able to take my cat to another vet and he is now fully healed without further amputation.

We have been coming with our dog since we got her when she was two months old. We had an emergency situation when she was a puppy, and I can not imagine how I would handle it without the help of Sherbourne Animal Hospital. We receive full support whenever we have any questions or need extra help.

Very thorough examinations! The vet was lovely with our cat and was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The entire staff were lovely and incredibly kind! Highly recommend this place!

Outstanding care for your pet!

We came here in the emergency as our vet was not helpful la our pooch ate a raisin and needed to have a procedure done.

The staff accepted him with open arms and made him feel comfortable for the duration. They were knowledgeable and provided frequent updates for us.

The service was so great, we transferred him over to this clinic. To our surprise, the process was easy and we even got an app to keep track of his health.

I strongly recommend this location for your vet needs!

I very much liked the Sherbourne Animal Hospital. Dr Mahmoud was very thorough and forthcoming as both of my doggos are senior. He prioritized their treatment and was transparent with the costs of each. I think he understood my reluctance to spend a great deal of money as I'm a senior on a fixed income. We made both doggos comfortable and I'm deciding which of his recommendations I should take for further treatment. The vet tech was also very lovely and seemed to truly enjoy her job. I will be taking mine back within a few weeks for follow-up.

Friendly staff, doctors who are unfailingly patient with many questions, and don't try to upsell services/tests. I'd highly recommend to any friends for their fur babies.

As other reviewers have said, this clinic is solely interested in the money they can make off of you, and not at all about the health of your pet. There is absolutely zero point in having them as your vet of record since they are never able to take your pet under last minute circumstances and will always refer you to the emergency vet.

The admin of this clinic needs some serious help when it comes to their assistance with patients, attitude towards clients, and ability to actually do something to help.

I recommend finding literally any other vet in the city to take your dog- someone that actually cares.

The staff and doctors are really friendly and have the best intentions. But they REALLY need to get a better patient information tracking system. I've brought my kittens here multiple times over the past couple of months for vaccinations, deworming, and diarrhea, and every time the doctor and staff seems to miss out a crucial information about my kittens' records and last visits. If I had not kept track in detail, they would have definitely made a mistake on what medicine my kittens are taking or double-charged me (in fact they almost did a few times already, and I had to point out their mistake). Again, please get a better data management software or something, I know you have a lot of patients, but you can do better than this.

My dog is anxious and reactive, but loves everyone at Sherbourne Animal Hospital (SAH) -staff, vet techs, vets. She gets excited when she realizes where we are going. We first brought our dog in as a puppy 7 years ago and saw Dr Oscar, but since then I've also seen Dr Robson and others (it depends on which day we have our appointment). Regardless of the vet we see, they are all very thorough in our dog's care and patient/respectful with our dog. They also explain things in detail and make it clear on what we should do at home (if further care is needed).

I really appreciate how after our appointment, SAH always check in on us by email and/or phone to see how our dog is doing, and they email with any necessary follow-up information. I have also found the costs are standard and they are clear and straightforward when some kind of care/treatment is optional vs necessary. The operating hours are good because they are open on Saturdays and they start early on weekdays (8am typically), which is accommodating to work schedules.

I always recommend SAH to any new pet owners who are in this general area of the city. I find it convenient to take transit here as well (Sherbourne bus stop is a few steps away). I have seen some people who say they are apprehensive because of the nearby intersection, which does have a high rate of people dealing with homelessness or other issues, but I haven't encountered any problems relating to that. Overall fantastic vet, highly recommend.

I found the staff to be super friendly and attentive. The vet that treated my dog was very personable, and I felt she cared about my dog's health and provided me with all the available options regarding his current issue.
They also sent a follow-up email the day after our visit which I appreciated. The back and forth correspondence made me feel like it was not a courtesy note, but that the office cared about my dog's wellbeing. Great first experience, I am super appreciative and I am glad to have found such an attentive clinic for my dog!

This is a vet clinic that only cares about making money and never seem to have any interest in actually helping out your animal. I put up with their inability to ever see our dog even under emergency circumstances for far too long. I would advise anyone to steer clear from this clinic. It has never been the same since Dr. Darcy left.

The doctors are very caring and so is the staff. They follow up with a phone call after every appointment. The offices are very clean.

The team and doctor at this Animal Hospital are very friendly and able to explain in details all the question and doubts you have in mind (and I had quite a lot!) They are quick and professional.

I’ve only been there once it was an okay experience. The room was dirty with food other unidentifiable things on the floor. Think for the pets safety it should be cleaned better.

Would love for the vet to be more vocal and be able to explain more of the why. My personal opinion.

We unexpectedly found ourselves in a serious time crunch with regards to getting complex travel papers for our dog. Laura at reception recognized the urgency and put me on hold a couple of times while she tried to put together a plan. Thankfully, the team at Sherbourne Animal Hospital took care of us. We were so grateful! Above and beyond, they communicated with us several times while pulling everything together for us and then followed up twice the next day to check on our pup and to be sure the paperwork was certified by the CFIA. They truly went above and beyond. In over 30 years of having pets, we have never had such a professional, courteous and caring vet office. You now have us at clients for life! Thank you again!

Although not a regular client, I called because of an emergency and the staff was really helpful and friendly.

I'm satisfied with the service provided at this hospital. I took my poodle to see Dr. Mahmoud yesterday and he was very thorough, patient, easy to understand and had a very logical approach to the treatment. He was also very gentle with my baby and understanding of her anxiousness.
All the other staff I encountered here were all very kind and helpful except for the woman that billed me, she made me feel like she was doing me a favour by billing me, lol. But over all a pleasant experience and will definitely choose this hospital for any future vet visits.

We love this clinic and we are so happy with the interaction with the staff each time when we take our dog to Sherbourne Animal Hospital. All thanks to our doctor Oscar for being patient with our endless questions! Their appointments always fill up very quickly but good thing they do take drop-off appointments if some thing is urgent. That’s a great system and we appreciate their help. We also love how we have received 2 postcards from them (one after being their patient, and the other one for the holidays), it was a great personal touch and they took their time to send them to us when everything is digital right now!

This is the vet to my 5 cats for years now. I have one cat that can not be put in a carrier at all unless you drug her. Today they refused to sell me antibiotics I could put in her food for the wound, I showed a pic of her wound. They also refused to sell me any sedation products to get her in a carrier. Won’t give me anything without see her. I said, the wound is infected and she will die without intervention. I was told this morning that this is my fault. I have spend thousands of dollars at this vet and expected them to accommodate this difficult cat. I will never take any of my pets here again. Worst service I have ever received.

The staff are professional and respond very quickly with results and any kind of follow up questions. The vet was very kind and patient with my cat, even after he scratched him. The vet techs did a great job at collecting blood and urine without stressing out my cat (quite a feat!), and we got a nail trim done which felt like a miracle. On top of that, their computer system ensures clear communication, transparent billing, and great service when collecting medications and food. The app is also very convenient and pretty slick. Overall, it’s by far one of the best vet practices I’ve seen.

I am very happy to have found the Sherbourne Animal Hospital in my neighbourhood. In addition to having an excellent service structure, they are very professional, friendly and at a fair price. Also, DR. DONOVAN ROBSON is a very caring and responsible veterinarian. I felt very satisfied and safe with the good care given to my dog.

Booked an appointment here before checking the reviews on their website. Was shocked to read so many bad reviews so I canceled the appointment and went elsewhere.

We are very happy with this clinic. Our dog is always happy coming in and leaving this place. I can really tell they care about our pets. Really, nothing to complain about besides the fact they they must be super popular in the neighbourhood since it’s hard to make a short-notice appointment:)

I had a first visit at The Sherbourne Animal Hospital today and I was very impressed. They were professional, friendly, and caring from the front desk to the vet himself Dr. Robson. I felt the sincere care for my puppy, I felt that I was given options regarding my pets health care plan and not coerced in any way. I will for sure be making the hospital my pets primary care giver.

I went to this animal hospital because location is convenient, but i object to the owner because he's too greedy. One of my dogs has a ear condition, and everytime i went there, i had to pony up $ for the testing, which is always the same result. And, i requested 2 little 15 mg bottles of the medication, 1 for each ear, and i'm only given 1. And it's very expensive. Everytime they treat my dog as if it's the 1st time. I used to work at a vet's in BC, i know vet's tricks for making money, but this one takes the cake! Just getting into the door is $85 bucks WITHOUT any treatment, nor meds. Then they jack up for repeat tests at $65 bucks (in the case of my dog's continuous problem), then the 15 mg bottle of drops (that are not enough for the 2 ears). My dog is not cured of his ears problems, and its a continuous "bleeding" of money to the clinic! I understand immigrants come to Canada to earn a decent living, but heck, this doctor is very very greedy and he's not kind either. In Canada we are used to our pets having the same standard of care as we humans have. This guy is not reinventing the wheel. Nowadays there's lots of vet clinics downtown, and there's also a mobile clinic for people that doesn't drive! Canada is not a 3rd world country, yet my poor dog's ear infections have not been properly diagnosed, much less treated, all because this guy wants to milk clients out of greediness! Thanks a lot

Really wonderful animal hospital! My dog, Birdie, is always so excited when we get close to the door. They take such good care of her and I never leave feeling like something was overlooked.

My dog loves them and they love him:) My dog actually gets excited before seeing them; even after his neutering!

Everyone at the hospital are super friendly and caring. Our rescue dog always receives the best care here. We moved and left the city recently so we can no longer come to this vet, which is unfortunate!

Went for a wellness visit for my dog. All staff and doctors were very kind and helpful. The Dr.spent 10 mins on the phone with me asking about my dog's lifestyle before his exam and another 5-10 mins explaining his exam after. I am very happy with our visit and look forward to seeing them again!

My cat was having some digestive issues, i was really concern about it. Dr Oscar was very patient and answer all my questions, he didnt rest until he figure out what was wrong! Now my fur baby is back to normal!

Because of COVID, I could not go inside with my puppy, but the vet called my phone once he was with her to talk and let me ask my questions. All staff was very professional, caring and informative.

Sherbourne Animal Hospital staff are so friendly and patient. Their wait times to be seen by a vet have been very minimal. I’m thankful to get quick appointments with their drop off service which puts my mind at ease not having to wait weeks to be seen. When I had an emergency they took my dog right away, and the vets and staff are very knowledgeable and explain things well so owners can understand their pets needs. I have a very delicate Yorkie and they’ve resolved all of her digestive issues. I’d definitely recommend!

Very responsive and convenient location. The friendly staff are always available to address my concerns. They also follow up with you which is nice. The only issue is waiting outside in the cold due to their COVID closed door policy. However, very pleased with their services.

Emotional blackmail aficionados.dropped off a 13 week old puppy at 9: 30AM, with the understanding that they would not see the pup till they were able to - they didn't see the pup till 5PM. Dr. Robertson used my heart strings to spend over $700 on tests and x-rays (cause the pup had diarrhea due to the stress). Stool sample test and X-rays revealed no issues. And though I mentioned that as a possibility of stress, the rebuttal was maybe the event was due to a blockage.so, never will my shadow or wallet pass your doors again.

We got a kitten in June 2020 and decided to make Sherbourne Animal Hospital our go-to vet, specifically because of the positive reviews.

The customer service we have received has been extremely good, but the value of service we've received doesn't justify the high costs. Our kitten has an on-going skin issue that the vet has been unable to treat or diagnose, and a large part of that is because every time we visit the clinic, it's treated as if it's the first time they have heard of the issue. It's a vicious cycle of giving our kitten antibiotics over and over again without any real attempt at treating the cause rather than the symptom. So far, we've paid over $1900 in just 4 months, and we still have no answers. They also quoted us over $750 for him to be neutered/microchipped. This is, in comparison to other quotes I've received, about 10x more expensive.

I get that health issues can be a challenge to diagnose with pets, but I haven't seen much attempt at treating it beyond giving our kitten more and more antibiotics and following-up the next day.

I plan on sticking with the hospital for now because there are few options near us, but really hoping for the sake of my pets health that the level of care improves to justify the ludicrous prices.

EDIT: We ended up going to another vet for a 2nd opinion on our cat's skin issue. The quote received for biopsy and neutering was approx.half the cost of what was quoted from Sherbourne, so we decided to switch permanently. For basic care of a healthy pet, Sherbourne is a good choice, but if you're dealing with a more challenging and expensive medical issue, I would recommend somewhere else more affordable for the exact same work.

I dropped off my very sick Golden Retriever for his first visit at Sherbourne yesterday after deciding to switch his vet so I was really hoping for a better experience. I'm so thankful to have found them because they are extremely friendly and helpful. The doctor explained everything very thoroughly that my previous vet did not. He understood that funds are tight right now because of the pandemic and being laid off work and wanted to take his journey step by step to avoid spending more money that I needed to. On top of that, they called me today to follow up and check up on him and make sure he was doing okay and asking if I had any following questions, really made me happy to see there are clinics that actually do this. If you're looking for genuinely friendly and helpful professionals, who aren't going to push everything to make extra money off vulnerable people then this is the right place for you and your beloved pets. Thank you so much, I look forward to finally having a permanent vet for Ace.

We've been coming to Sherbourne Animal Hospital since we got Whisky last May. Our pup has been injury prone and we took on the big task of getting him neutered on Thursday. Dr. Oscar and his team took great care of him and most of all, have been extremely responsive to any concerns and questions we have had along the way. I would recommend Sherbourne Animal Hospital to any pet-owner and trust them exceptionally with something such as a neuter/spray. I wasn't having a good experience with my previous vet. I was hesitant to bring my dog back there for follow ups. A friend told me about Dr. Oscar. So I decided to give the sherbourne animal hospital a chance and it exceeded my expectations. The vet took his time to tell me everything I need to know about my dogs health and his upcoming neutering appointment. I am at ease and feel like they will take care of my dog as one of their own.

We have been going to Sherbourne Animal Hospital for a few years now. They cared for our elderly (17 year old) Italian Greyhound in the last years of his life and in his final illness and are now supporting us with our new puppy. Dr Oscar, the other veterinarians, and all the support staff are helpful, thoughtful, and able. They take the time to explain so that we understand the choices we are making for our beloved pets. Both Milo and Luca love going to the vet because they know they will be treated with gentle carefulness. We love going there because we know our loved pets will get the very best care possible.

I’ve been taken my fur babies here for years and will continue to return! Sherbourne’s staff is always pleasant and professional. We had to drop one of our dogs off for her rabies shot (Covid rules, you cant go in) and I felt 100% comfortable to hand her off for the appointment!

This vet clinic is great however they charge for EVERYTHING. $24 to write a prescription, half an exam fee to recheck your animal after spending hundreds of dollars on treatments in the first place. They have great tools at their disposal.testing equipment etc to get results super last which is amazing but should slow down on gouging people for half exam fees for rechecked etc.

We took our cat, Mozzi, to the hospital for an annual check up. The staff members were very friendly and sweet! Due to COVID, we were not able to be with Mozzi during his appointment but this was fine because the vet called us before doing anything to explain everything. She was sooooo sweet and answered all the questions I had with care! After the appointment, she called us again to tell us about the findings and thankfully, Mozzi was healthy but a little overweight. I had a really good experience here and I really trust them with my cat.:)

The staff care so so much! They take the time to make your pet feel safe and loved - special shoutout to Dr. Robson. They also make sure that you're looped into everything that's going on. I always feel relaxed leaving my kitten in their hands.
