Favorite garden centre within reach of the city. Excellent selection, good quality and well maintained plants. They also warranty many of their plants, so if they don't make it through the winter you can take it back and get a store credit. We compared purchases made and these plants are always better.

A few weeks back I bought 2 plants (a calathea and a white knight philodendron). These are delicate plants, sold in small pots.
The cashier, Alicia, turned the pot almost upside down wanting to scan the price, showing little care for the plant that could have fallen from the pot. I did not say anything, but noticed how she handled the plant as if dealing with a brick.
Because the soil of one plant was a bit dry and knowing that it will take a few good hours for me to reach home with the plant, I asked Alicia if she could give me a little bit of water for the plant. Alicia said the water would mess my car. I asked a second time, and she said they have no water there. Remember, this is a garden centre! Her response was so inconsiderate. I paid over $50 for these plants.
I won't return to this location despite their good selection of plants. The customer service was mediocre to say the least. A garden centre should hire people who love plants. Alicia proved she is the opposite.
After leaving Sheridan, I asked a Shoppers Drug Mart to give me some water for the plant and they did! The plants are doing well.

This Nurseries is awesome. Lots of selections to choose from. The staff I was talking to was so helpful, giving me great advice and helped me a lot with my selections. Prices are not too bad at all.

I never write reviews but Marco was absolutely AMAZING - Jim (also amazing!) introduced me to him to help me pick out what I needed… and wow what a huge help, he has nothing but knowledge to share. A+

Good nursery/garden centre, well stocked with indoor &outdoor plants and necessary items

I come here for the variety and health of many of the plants. But lately the knowledge base of some of the newer staff has really gone down. When I ask for advice on something, sometimes I get a vague response. It would be nice if they hired folks with a genuine interest in gardening.

A huge collection of house plants, perenials and rare plants. Well organised. Prices are on the higher side. Well worth a visit for any plant lover.

Needed some advice about one of my houseplants. They recognised the problem straight away and suggested a solution. Greenhouse has lots of ventilation.

I discovered this location near my office and it is HUGE! I got trapped in the pouring rain and spent an hour browsing and planning. It was a wonderful way to spend an hour after work. The selection is amazing and the staff were busy but helpful. I will definitely be back.

My Real Estate Agent told me to get my landscaping done. This was 16 yrs ago. They designed our front & back yard. We did the work ourselves. Received many compliments from the neighbours! My go to for perennials & Christmas time is so nice! They have great quality trees & they guarantee their perennials for 2 yrs. The staff is incredibly helpful! Jennifer offered to give me advice on how to decorate my urns throughout the year!

I love this place, the variety is awesome but felt pricey. I will go there again and recommend a visit just to experience the plants.

This is my happy place. If you know what to look for, you'll find hidden gems and good prices! I bought a hoya macrophylla recently. Boutique stores would sell it for a fortune. Keep checking weekly for new additions.

Very poor service! After being in the store for about 5 minutes nobody asked if I needed any assistance and when I finally found someone to ask a few questions about orchids they seemed very dismissive and uninterested in helping me. The atmosphere was pretty cold.not warm welcoming at all. I will not be going back. If I could give zero rating I would.

The nursery is huge with plenty of options from plants to gardening decor. Pricing is fair.

I just went to buy herb plants but then I bought the hyacinth on sale and a cute indoor moss plant, it's dying now. Therefore, do your research before you buy any plant, think of it like a pet, if you don't know how to care for it, it'll probably die.
The nursery has good parking space and is right next to TTC busstop.

Amazing place to find the right plant for your home, not only plant but lot of decoration stuff.staff is very courteous and helpful. Place is very organized and very well furnished. A family place to go and explore with kinds.

I really like Sheridan Nurseries and this location is close to where I live. For a gardening center, I find there prices quite reasonable. Some specialty items can be more expensive but there are also bargains.
The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. In fact on several occasions, staff went out of their way to help find seeds or plants I was looking for.
They are the one of the few gardening centers that sell West Coast Seeds that I know of in the GTA - although I wish these seeds arrived in early January. They also stock several other brands that are also good and are pretty much available year round.

Have been to this place during the pre-christmas time. Have picked up a few plants & followed instructions on their upkeep. Unfortunately the plants haven't survived. Disappointed to say the least.

I like the place for its wide variety. I also dislike the way to exit, you are required to go a long way ahead & make a turn.

Very friendly staff. I was able to get in and out within 10min. Roselle was amazing with helping me pick out some flowers.

They're asholes and don't care about their business and the customer's period it seems they only response to the nice reviews I wonder why you finger it out thank you everyone they should close down if the have any consious and feel any responsibility thank you

Always have had amazing customer service and selection at the scarborough location - and after witnessing a staff member get assaulted by an anti-masker I have even more respect for them - getting spit at and screamed at because a private business won't let them inside without a mask, which they are well within their rights to do, and she continued to help customers after! Feel so bad for customer service employees that have to deal with this daily.

Karen abuses customers that can't wear masks due to medical conditions. I will never go back there due to discrimination.

Changing my previous excellent review from many years ago after witnessing staff totally losing their heads on a customer over a mask. If they are this stressed working in a garden center perhaps they should look to another longer of work. Unbelievable ‍️

Love this nursery in Scarborough, tons of variety. They have indoor and outdoor plants. It can get busy on special occasions, but line moves because it's a big space. Great gift ideas available. Friendly staff, some are more helpful than others. If you want something specific it's call to ask before coming. Great location, easily accessible, with a lot of parking. Reasonable prices too.

First time visiting a week ago to purchase some planters. There was a nice selection, lots of different styles and sizes. Plants were beautiful and looked really healthy Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to look around but I plan to check out some of the indoor plants next time!

Very poor customer service. The manager Dorothy could not assist and make decision regarding a discount card and had to wait for head office to get back to her during the week.

Love this place. The staff are very knowledgeable and I really like when they don't know something they say let me check instead of giving an off the cuff answer. Plants are really good quality, never had to return anything and their shop is great for picking up all kinds of things for the house, including puzzles, (because who didn't need more of those this year)!

Always have pleasant experience here. They pretty much have everything. Good Covid-19 protocol. Pricey but I rather go here and never had to return plants before.

Terrible customer service, they leave message regarding the change in delivery date, and advising me to call them back, but nobody is picking the phone and it is not possible to leave a message. I think this is unacceptable.
I think even one star is too much! Probably 0 is more like it.

They have everything here! I got some really nice natural organic soil for my garden vegetables. Clean, organised, efficient service.

I am giving Ellesmere store in Scarborough only 2 stars.

I ordered some items on using the Online website, stating the Ellesmere store in Scarborough, which was easy to navigate. They sent an email saying, " that someone would call me within 2 to 5 days when the order would be ready for curbside pickup"

Well, 7 days later no call, I sent an email asking when my order be ready. No reply, did the same the following day.no reply. Tried calling on the 9th day, was told to leave my number and name. Then was told the I could not leave a message. Tried a few more times that day.same response.

Decided to call the Etobicoke store, to see if they could let me know if my order was ready. The phone was answered and a lady was very professional and polite. She replied, yes it was and that it was sent to the
Ellesmere store in Scarborough.

Day 10 tried calling the Ellesmere store in Scarborough early in the morning could not get a hold of anyone and was unable to leave a message.

As I have not been able pick up the Critter Ridder and the Scoot (great product for deterring rabbits and raccoons). Approximately 12 to16 sq.ft has been torn up.

I am now going the store to try and pick up my order.

I appreciate that they are busy, and with Covid-19 regulations. However, there has been zero customer service from the Ellesmere store in Scarborough.

Staffs are very friendly and store is well organized. I ll visit in May again as they told me that they will receive all of their plants by then!

I've purchased 9 plants since the end of December. So I can't say I've spent a lot here or that I've been a long time customer. I've emailed them twice on different occasions with no reply at all. I've tried calling multiple times to order plants, but nobody ever picks up, so I've asked my wife to call in to order since she's had better luck than I have in contacting them. The last time we called, she was told they don't take orders over the phone and to place the order online. It might just be me, but I find their online catalogue hard to use and it doesn't have everything on their site. They were quick in charging our card after the order was placed but they have not told us when we can pick up the flower we ordered. We originally wanted to order 3 plants, but only 1 of them was on their online catalogue, and no reply when I emailed them asking about the other 2 plants. This is going to be the last time I purchase anything here. Going to take my business elsewhere.

It would've also been nice to know that they allowed customers inside to shop. It would've been nice to know there was an option to be able to pick the plants that I wanted, leather than them handing me bags and be surprised at home.

Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Were happy to answer all of our questions and help us make the best decisions for our unique gardening vision. Will definitely shop here again.

I wanted to get a house plant that was safe for cats but given the conditions of Covid I called ahead to see if they were accepting walk ins and they did. I asked if they had any plants of that nature and was told to book an appointment. I booked and came in. When I went there I asked the ladies working in the greenhouse where the cat friendly plants were and without even looking at me or helping me they just said no without effort, no checks in the database, nothing. I drove for 20 minutes to get there. It was very disappointing and quite unhelpful. I don’t think I will come back, I wanted to support local businesses but I found friendlier service on Amazon and will be getting my plant from them.

Worst service I have ever had while shopping in any store in this province! I wish I could give a zero rating!

Visited here to check on some Japanese maple with my brother-in-law, and things are not cheap here. I guess they have the magic touch on their products.

This ppl force to ware a mask of sell it for $2 even when all they workers are wearing protection and you need to move away from your shopping car to get cash, they prizes are high and definitely Im not coming back

Terrible customer service. You are forcing customers to purchase masks to enter your store, meanwhile the government has not forced people to wear masks in public so who do you think you are? I kept my money and I’ll happily spend it elsewhere thank you.

I've lived in the area for 16 years and have spent a generous amount money at this location
I visited twice in the last couple weeks waited patiently in line due to COVID-19, wore a mask as instructed had my own sanitizer. Customer service is going way down hill each year. Asked a supervisor for info and she directed me to a French lady who was no help and then called my question out loud to an older man / employee who scowled and yelled out a response. You're all so rude. Stay home during COVID-19 and let people have your jobs that want to be employed.
I spent a ton of money at the Supercentre Garden Centre on Progress as they sell proven winners which look lovely in my gardens. No need for me to return. They also had a restroom available.
Your staff are ruining your business. COVID is not the problem.

Though it may not be true, but somehow I developed an impression that 50% of the customer service is cold/not nice at all. Customers' optics are important for that's their reality. The WORST, definitively, is the customer service on the phone.it's so far 100% bad-NO ONE ANSWERS (try it yourself)! I've tried for THREE weeks calling.what's going on Sheridan Scarborough? If you're too busy, at least give us a prerecorded message to greet/update us that you're still running around like chickens without the heads.don't just let us ringing the phone for nothing: (

I had a great experience with the staff at Sheridan nursery Scarborough. I found a beautiful climbing rose plant ‘Rosa Eden’ on their website and I new I had to get it for the garden. They did not have it on Easter when I called; however, a nice lady took my contact and called back promptly when it arrived and I was able to order it over the phone. This was during the time of Covid-19 where strict social distancing rule were in place. They only had drive though pick up on site at that time (may 06,2020), but the were really nice and let me walk in and do a curbside pickup. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and how caring they were during this unprecedented time. I just want to say thank you because it is nice to know you all were still working behind the scenes so we can get our plants and tend to our spring gardens.

Such a gem! With beautiful plants and fauna, it feels like walking into a mini botanical garden. The staff are knowledgeable and so helpful! Definitely a place to come for all your gardening needs and if you want a little touch of nature in your life.

The staff have on shirts. 'We are here to help', however they are not allowed to help because of the virus! We are all wearing masks.
I asked June who was wearing a full face shield and standing near approximately 30 variety of grass, if they had 'Zebra grass'. She told me to read the tags.
The only polite members were the young men sanitizing the carts.
I frequent the various garden centres and will not be going back.
This was the last $50 purchase from Sheridan Nurseries.

Every year at list 4 times a year a go shopping at Sheridan Nurseries. Today was my first visit, I had no problem lining up in the sun, and when I got inside looking for vegetables plants to buy, there was none. It is beyond me why they don't put Signs out side saying no vegetables plants are available right now, so people don't have to line up for nothing. Just because of this I give them 2 stars.

Gotta love drivers of this company swerving from lane to lane in rush hour on the 401. People driving like this don't deserve a job or a driver's license. Today on the 401 April 17th at 2: 20pm

I bought my wedding bouquet here and it was one of the best and easiest decisions for me. Sheridan was very accommodating and put absolutely no pressure on me when making my options, even for a single order. I picked out the types of flowers I liked from their selection, showed them a picture of the shape of bouquet I'd like, showed a picture of the colours I liked, and then gave them a price to work with. Two days later I picked up my bouquet. There was a small communication issue with less purple flowers than I'd asked for, still, the bouquet turned out beautiful and it had more flowers and elements than I expected for my small budget ($60).

Very nice place clean and organized. I did go looking for some lavender plants but I didn't find any only seeds so I couldn't get any.
