Although a bit expensive, I love going to see the different varieties of plants, flowers and tropicals! They always have a lovely assortment of plants!

They have a good variety of plants, but the staff is not knowledgeable. I asked the same question to 3 different employees, but they are not able to find the answer for me. They were helpful and polite though.

None of the 3 weekend employees I talked to knew anything. I think Sheridan needs a better employee training.

Haven't been there since I was a child got soil a plant and a watering can. Beautiful day too.

I purchased a tree boxing day 2020.paid alot of $$ for a 9' tree. Christmas 2021 set it up and lights did not work. I had to take it down and take it to the store where they had someone fix them. Just set the tree up and again lights do not work. Went into the store and store manager said they cannot do anything, they do not offer the service any longer. I was even willing to pay for someone to look at it. I purchased from there thinking I was getting a quality tree and service behind it. WRONG - for anyone readying this don't spend the money there.

Great selection of plants and related stuff but pricey. Got lots of advice from a knowledgable and friendly plant advisor called Carol.

Although most of the field staff is nice, but management is really arrogantly and prices are way above the other nurseries. I bought few hydrangeas couple of days back, and two of them didn't survive. I went back today to exchange 2 plants. I informed the cashier that i just want to replace them. She was very nice and asked me to pick up any two hydrangeas and she can match the price. I went out and there were no healthy plants in white hydrangeas, so i picked up 2 pink of the same size. Coming back on the counter i encountered another cashier who bluntly refused to acknowledge price match offered by the previous cashier. I asked for the store manager, and he called the assistant manager saying manager is on vacation up to Monday. I informed the assistant manager of the situation, and asked her to come with me outside to show if there are any healthy white plant; and there was none. Still she refused to acknowledge the commitment of the first cashier, and arrogantly refused to exchange with the pink plants. I was upset, so i said i would not come to your nursery again, and she responded "that's fine". I have never seen this level of apathetic customer service before.
Update: now bought same plants from Terra garden centre in Milton in 19.99, whereas Sheridan Centre was selling at 49.99. Terra has great customer service as well.

This is a good location with a lot of varieties available, but the guy answering the phone seems to have no idea what is going on.i called about cherry trees and first thing he does is correct my pronunciation of Rainier, insisting it should be said as RAIN-Y-EH, with a silent R like in french.i'm totally speechless about this as i've never heard anyone else pronounce the word this way, but to each their own.then he proceeds to tell me every single sweet cherry tree is out of stock there.he doesn't check the system or go check the inventory, but just knows it.this seemed bizarre to me since online it was still showing many varieties with a bunch in stock, but he insisted he had just looked at everything that morning and knew for sure there were no more sweet cherries, just sour ones.i believed him at first and called around to a couple other locations and they all had the number of trees in stock as shown on the website which made me suspicious.how could all the stock be bought out at this location so fast that the online system hadn't updated? I decided to email and ask just in case and was told there is stock now.well i ended up going to buy them and they were just fine, so no harm no foul, but if this guy is always answering calls like this, it's confusing and turning away customers and can't be good for the business.

Amazing selection of plants. First time in my life I saw a real venus flytrap, here. A tad pricey hence that one star.

I wanted to pay cash after standing in line the lady said oh this register doesn't take cash you have to go back in line to other register for cash like really so not right not happy

Sheridan nursery has a great selection and variety plants. The plants are usually good quality. However, it's a pricy place.

Looked for a very special dwarf hydrangea - Strawberry sundae - and lo and behold, they had it)!

Experience was great I have been going there for 20 years.
Staff is helpful and friendly.

BUYER BEWARE!

There is no mistake that Sheridan Garden is a popular destination and that we as customers have enjoyed browsing and making purchases over the last few years (new to the area). We're not big spenders, only $3,000 to $4,000 over the years.

Spent $400 today, Cashier charged us twice for one of our purchases, and did not take notice until we got home. Called to get a credit back, gave them the invoice number to show them the error and was asked to come back in-store (45 minutes away) to get a refund.

Sure enough we drove back to get the credit ($70), but had to wait in long line of buyers, and then some more when cashier told us they didn't know how to process a refund. We then asked if we could get in-store credit for the whole inconvenience and was told flat out "no". We asked if there was someone we could speak to and was asked to call the phone number for the store. Nice young woman answered to tell us the same thing " no can do". When asked to speak to management to get a better answer we waited 20 minutes on hold and no one ever provided service.

Seems to us we were somehow an inconvenience to them, we never made a stink, we've been polite and understanding throughout.
Thankfully there many other nice, competing nurseries in the area like Springbank and M. Greenhouses. We will not be returning to Sheridan Gardens to be treated like an inconvenience.

Their numerous staff are always friendly and open to answering questions but pleasetly not overbearing in sales pressure.update winter 22' - dialed in on what customers are looking for lately, with sections clearly laid out for terrarium supplies, sphagnum moss and polls, and a great cactus and succulent display.

Not the best selection for succulents and cactuses.
May be worth it for a first-time plant owner since the staff at the potting area is friendly and knowledgeable.
The atmosphere is beautiful, rain forest-esque, they have a pond with fish and of course plants everywhere, cool spot.

Great place to shop for plants for all seasons. Do visit them for Christmas trees ans decorations. Amazijg ambience with wood burning in the pit. Children would love it.

Very nice store to buy plants, flowers for balcony, trees, shrubs, and garden accessories. In the winter they also sell Christmas trees in different sizes. In fact they have one of the best selection of Christmas trees in Mississauga. Among other varieties they offer Balsam Fir, Blue Spruce, Douglas Fir and regular Christmas trees. Are you wondering how to transport your Christmas tree home? Easy! They will wrap it up for you and tie it to your car. Amazing service!

I'll preface this by saying that I've come to Sheridan Nurseries for over a year and had great interactions with staff. They've been super helpful with questions and advice. Today however, was a bizarre scenario.

I wanted to purchase a couple Spirea and I noticed there were aphids on them. I was prepared to buy them with some insecticide and inquired how damaging the aphids would be to the plant and if I was eligible for a potential discount. I was put in touch with one of the supervisors who came over and just kept repeating "WE DON'T SELL BOXWOODS WITH APHIDS. " Rather than converse with me, he just insisted that I either buy the plants or leave, again saying, "OUR PLANTS DON'T HAVE APHIDS. " When I showed him the plant with the stems and underside of the leaves covered in green bugs, he said "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THOSE ARE. THOSE AREN'T APHIDS. WE DON'T SELL BOXWOODS WITH APHIDS. " Spirea aphids are pretty unmistakable so it's surprising that a supervisor wouldn't recognize them or have any explanation for an alternative (though they were definitely aphids).

I would have totally understood if this supervisor wasn't able to help me. I also understand that he may have been busy and not have had the time to explain things to me in detail. It just would have been nice to have been treated with some level of respect and not felt as though I were being gaslit by management. In any case, Sheridan Nurseries is typically a solid 5/5 except for this guy.

Lovely place to pick up trees, plants and flowers for your home. Really anything to do with the outdoors of your home is available here. I recommend.

Beautiful and well maintained. However, I find the prices are much higher compared to big chain garden centres and other nurseries. For example, I bought a Hawaiian Punch hibiscus for $11 at Sheridan while the same costs $6 at Canadian Tire Garden centre

Quite a large location that has just about anything! From seeds and tools, to patio furniture and popcorn! Staff is helpful, labeling on producta is clear, and prices are reasonable for the quality you get.

Nice selection most of the time but you will PAY for it.higher prices than anywhere else.
Best for that 'statement' piece you are looking for but overpriced for common stuff.

Wow this place is absolutely stunning. The employees were happy and enthusiastic answering my questions. Its not the cheapest but i would say you certainly get what you pay for. Sheridan has just about anything you might need in terms of gardening.

Great selection of indoor plants. Friendly staff that are pretty knowledgeable about their products even though there are so many to choose from. Best part for me was how everything was well organized, allowing a novice like me to find what I was looking for with ease.

Plants are high quality at reasonable prices. There was one time I had queued for an hour just to get in. Worth the wait.

Not happy with customer service. Everyone is running around and none is available to help. It seems they are busy with their own stuff, not busy serving customers. They should treat customers with more respect and be more helpful. It’s easy to say “no” but a good customer service is to go beyond expectation to satisfy the needs. Linda is better to improve her attitude like others.

We drove out to the Southdown outlet hoping to find a decent Christmas tree. The selection was great, with many trees unwrapped and hung so that you could really see what they looked like all the way around. The staff person who was helping us (Veronica) patiently answered all our questions, pointed out options without trying to upsell us, and helped (okay, she did most of the work) secure the tree on our car. A great experience, especially because of Veronica!

Always love Sheridan nurseries great holiday gifts, Christmas decorations already pre-made or for your own creations. They still have mulch and peat moss as well.

Large nursery with a variety of options and a plethora of gardening tools, and accessories. Staff were super helpful and polite when approached. They give you your space to do your thing!

I do not often leave reviews, but as a long time Sheridan Nurseries customer (along with my mum and mother in law) after what happened this week I felt that I had to. Selection of plants and gardening items is lovely. However: regarding my experience (during COVID no less!) Abhorrent unsanitary condition of the one public bathroom at this location. Toilet sprayed all over with feces, urine on the floor, unbearable stench. I asked if there was any alternative, as my little girl was dancing and had to go; and literally was barely able to go inside due to the terrible smell and unsanitary condition. The worker that we asked, Sue, was rude, abrupt and beligerent, speaking to me as if I was inconveniencing her, snapping at me that they are cleaned and if its dirty its "due to customers" as "they are the only ones using it". Really!? !? Then turned her back to me while I was speaking; later laughing loudly with another co-worker as if we weren't there. Never been so poorly treated in a shop. Beyond terrible customer service from a place that I had so enjoyed frequenting.

I was VERY Disappointed a few days ago, as I had purchased four mums granted at half price and they died within a week. I called to ask what they would do to help me and in a nut shell I was told your $50.00 was for the pleasure of having your mums for the week. If I had not gone north to the cottage and called them the minute they died I would have maybe seen a refund. I only asked for a store credit not my money back. Now I will not be having Sheridan design my Christmas Planters this year or anymore years. That is what I call POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. So people remember do not buy anything that's been discontinued or discounted from Sheridan Nurseries as they will NOT STAND behind they're products!

Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices can be slightly on the higher side but they have good product and good verity.

Artisan Fall Market is a great addition. The store and premises are really decked out w fab displays

Empire City Landscape and Maintenance

One of the better kept secrets in the Oakville Mississauga area. Always has lots of choice and friendly staff.

Got a Brandon cedar wood delivered and planted. Tree died a year later. For 6 months we asked for a replacement and eventually just asked for a refund because the tree never seemed to be in stock. On a 300 purchase, we were offered a 100 dollar refund. How exactly is someone able to ask for a refund for a tree in 10 days (they dont die that quickly). Wont be recommending to friends or family.

Love this location. Just got some beautiful and unique bulbs for planting. They have a huge selection. Always wonderful customer service and it's just a happy place.

The product selection is decent at Sheridan, however, The service and approach to customers is beyond terrible (for certain associates). Despite writing an email to address my concern, it was ignored. I will ensure to let all our friends in Oakville as well as all my colleagues at work know about the poor service and lack of acknowledgement of it, so that they purchase their items elsewhere. Also, re your response. I did send an email. There was minimal response to acknowledge or take responsibility. Will be spreading the word for sure.

Slowest staff on the planet 2 cashiers working and 4 girls outside talking in a circle? Why not make one of them cash.

First time buyer. Great staff! Carol was super helpful and really nice to talk to. She gave us a lot of knowledge and tips. Walked away with $350 worth of outdoor plants!

Very helpful staff. Broke my patio umbrella cap (the one that goes on top) and Sue gave me one at no cost. I offered to pay but she said it's okay. Now that's customer experience. Besides this episode they have quality plants and the provide 2 year warranty.

Sheridan nursery is all about positivity. We went there on Sunday morning to buy a succulent.
Lot of parking Spots were available.
The main attraction at this place is the Koe pond which they maintain, just looking at the Pond with the fishes, sound of the small waterfall fountain and the plants near by is bliss.

There were lot of choices of plants to buy along with home decors and pots, pot soil.

We ended up getting a succulent, Groton, ferns and a bamboo plant.

Price was nominal.

The staffs were friendly and helpful they shared us details about the plant maintenance and also they potted the plants in the pots we bought voluntarily. It was a lovely gesture.

This is was our first visit experience.

We will visit this place again to buy more plants and also to view the koe pond and the plants.

Most incredible Christmas stop! An incredible Santa is here this weekend from 12 to 4pm. Piano in the store, played by all visitors. Mulled wine, coffee, and treats here for shoppers! Small winter wonderland and 20% off of Christmas stuff.

This place is outstanding. They have the most beautiful variety of indoor plants I have ever seen. The staff was super knowledgeable and took her time to explain what I asked in complete detail. Customer service was wonderful at cash, took care in wrapping my plants and bringing them to my car as to not damage them.

Beautiful arrangements and unique flowers and plants.one of my favorite places to get my plants for outdoor and indoor. Reasonable prices to fit any budget.very happy with my purchases.will be visiting in the summer when I start my outdoor garden again!

'Karen' not only identified my plant from a picture but within SECONDS had found and re-potted it for me! She gave me care tips and used some growth stimulant on its roots, all with a big smile on her face. Kudos for the epitome of customer service!

Great choices, plants looks great, price is not bad either. Staff is always super friendly even if they're not as knowledgeable.
