Disappointed. Called to inquire about a vehicle. The sales representative already seemed uninterested and disengaged to help. Promised a call back (never happened) and we took our business and trade to another dealer who was more than willing to finalize a sale.

Really great experience. Tony was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. We were able to trade for a 2020 Model 3 LR AWD that had just arrived at the dealership. Process was smooth, honest and open. So unlike a regular car purchase. Highly recommend Shift and Tony for the deal and Frank for the efficient processing.

Emailed inquiring about trading my Ford SUV for a 2020 Tesla Model 3. In my email I gave all. The info for my trade vehicle, requesting a trade in value and what approx payments would be to trade in.

Nearly 2 weeks later I still have not heard from anyone, aside from corny automated emails.

Pretty lousy service, certainly lost my business forever.

Wanted to share a first class experience that I had with the team at Shift Motors. I took my 2022 Tesla Model 3 in for its year service and to swap my rims for black ones. At the same time I had all the emblems and lettering changed to black. Very pleased with the outcome. A big thanks to Mario and Erik and the whole Shift team for taking care of me. Well, bought a Tesla here and ran into Paul at the Tesla dealer a couple weeks later. Acted like he had no idea who I was after spending $125K with him 2 weeks prior. Need a model Y for the wife, just gonna order it new! Shift SUX!

Sold two of my cars to them and both times service and simplicity was top notch. Max is great at answering my questions clearly and quickly. Something a lot of other legacy dealerships lack these days. If I ever have to sell another EV or even buy one this is the first place I’m looking. Well deserved five stars for Max and his team.

Bought a 2016 Kia Soul in 2020. Dash was showing only 100 km of range when fully charged. Wanted to get battery state of health checked but guys at shift said there is no way an electric car could have battery degradation after 4 years and only 60000 km. They said it was low rang due to the past driving habits of test drivers. They also assured me that even if there was a problem in the future the car is under warranty with Kia until 2023. It turns out the battery has severe degradation and got to the point where it only had 25 km of range and now goes in the turtle mode right away so the car is completely undrivable. After several visits to Kia, they finally admitted it needs a new battery and now I’ve been waiting six months with a car that can’t even drive to the corner store. Kia says the battery is coming, but they still don’t know when and they will not provide a rental car or any other compensation.

Friendly and helpful staff with a passion for electric cars. They have been quick to address issues and no fuss.

I was shopping around for a PHEV or longer range EV while I was in the GTA in the hopes of driving back to Calgary, and although unfortunately wasn't able to finalize a purchase (due to my part) in time before I had to hop on a flight back, I am still definitely happy with the service that I recieved from Shift. The receptionist was very friendly and hospitable, and Max who showed me around the Outlander I was interested in was awesome, very knowledgeable and passionate about EVs and down to earth rather than your typical pushy salesman. They know their stuff and will treat you well, highly recommend checking them out if you're interested in a second hand EV in the Toronto area (especially a Tesla, they got tons!)

I haven’t bought a car from them, but have used their service centre often for my Model S. They can’t always fix what I need but that’s more because Tesla doesn’t allow them access to the computer system etc. I can say, however that they saved me thousands because Tesla stated that my air suspension compressor, some air hoses and three of the four suspension units needed fixing. I said no way (Tesla service is infamous for inflating costs) and Mario and Jeff said it was only an air hose that failed and the total cost was about $200. That’s way more reasonable than Tesla who wanted $3-5000! There have been numerous other fixes on my car that they’ve helped with and I can only say good things about the service department. Their labour rate is $120/hour which is much more reasonable than Tesla’s $220 per hour and their mechanics don’t go hog wild with overbilling like Tesla ones do. Keep up the great work, Jeff and Mario!

The team at Shift were great to deal with. We needed a new car in short order due to another order for an EV getting delayed by a year suddenly. Raffy helped me out and connected me with Max at the shop, I saw a few Tesla models, test drove one and within a few days I had a 2019 Model 3. They really took the time to walk my partner and I through how a Tesla works as it was our first. We drove out of there feeling pretty well educated on the car and felt like we were supported.

Purchased a Model 3 from the Shift EV team in August of 2021 for my wife. With the price of fuel I found myself driving the Model 3 more than my ICE vehicle. So in March of this year I reached out to the team at Shift EV to trade in my ICE that was collecting dust for another Tesla (model Y). Again I cant tell you how amazing this dealership is. I think they should change the name to GOAT (greatest of all time) EV. Thanks again Shift (GOAT) EV team!

Absolutely awesome experience with Shift Electric Vehicles. Max was great to work, as my first EV buying a Tesla was made easy. Eric and Danielle were great to deal with on the finance and paperwork side as well made it super easy and took care of all the details. They’re fishing for leads, they do business by cheating customers. This is the lowest way ever of doing business.

This is their tricks:

When you first reach out to them and expressed your willingness to sell your vehicle, they will give you a fairly reasonable quote. But when you decided to sell your vehicle to them, they will tell you that your vehicle isn’t worth that much anymore.

I was thinking of selling my 2019 Model 3 Long Range with AP. I did some researches so I had a number in my mind. In order to save the headaches of selling privately I reached out to Max Maurice. He offered me $58k, which wasn’t up to my expectations but still considerable. He asked me to think about it, so we left the conversations there.

My business was crazy busy last month, I didn’t have chance to go deeper of the deal with him. I hate people who play games with me so I don’t play games with people. He acted pretty straight forward, so I chose to trust him and didn’t work with any other car dealers.

Today, I finally got time to call back and wanted to know what documents should I prepare and also to arrange a day to drop off my car.

Surprisingly this guy told me that he can only offer me $54k instead of $58k right now since it has been 12 days from our first conversations, and they recently sold a Model 3 with half of my mileages for this price.

Let’s say you really sold one with better conditions for this much, but who bought the car? Your uncle? Your colleague? A family friend of yours? Come on, we all know what kind of games you are playing.

Cars are considered as consumer products, which means the market value of cars tends to be stable in short runs. There wouldn’t have any significant changes in just 12 days. Some minor adjustments to the numbers are okay, but $4000 is nothing minor.

This guy makes me feel like he’s paying Bitcoins for my car, so the value constantly changes. Lmao

Can anyone imagine what kind of trash car drops almost 10% market value in just 12 days?

He’s pretty confident that I have to sell my car to him. Sadly he’s wrong, I’m not in rush to sell. But what if someone has already ordered a new vehicle and has to sell his vehicle immediately?

Folks, for your own sake, AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS.

Very knowledgable staff, great selection. We visited Shift Electric and another "brand name EV store" on the same day and the difference was easy to see. Not rushed, no high pressure tactics, people knew what they were talking about and were interested in the cars they're selling. Will definitely keep them in mind.

Best place to buy a Tesla! Robert in sales was great. No pressure and very knowledgeable. When I had no ride on delivery day of my Model S, Eric came by and picked me up! What other place would do that? They are in Oakville and I live in Whitby! They always do what they say they will do. No surprises. My car was detailed and looked like new when I picked it up. Writing a review is not me but to be honest I want to appreciate and let people know where electric cars can be purchased with hassle free the best service as well as car (for me service comes first). I cannot find the word to express the way they deal with me in the purchase of 2021 Tesla is totally different I mean it was the best I have seen so far. Starting from GM Raphy, Max, Robert and Eric all of these people are great. I work for dealership and I haven't seen so many dealership around that treats every client with proper service. Very helpful.

So I was on the fence about purchasing a Tesla because I knew nothing about them so I called over and got to speak to MAX. MAX invited me over to test drive one, after spending 2 hours at the dealership I decided I need one. I didn't purchase from Shift only because they didn't have the specific Tesla I wanted, because it just sold but I really appreciate everything Max did I would definitely give Shift a chance in the future. I had the absolute BEST experience at this dealer. My mother and I were shopping for a Tesla Model Y, and coming from gas powered vehicles, we knew basically nothing about electric cars. Shift helped us start at square one, and walked us through the product from start to finish. They made sure that every question we could possibly have was answered, and the service didn't stop after we purchased the car. I’ve been wishing, dreaming and saving for a Model S for years. Finally I found myself in a position to purchase one. Thankfully I found a dealership that lives up to the brand. Every step of the process was handled with class and professionalism. A very fair price without the “used car barter game” (which I despise). Robert was extremely knowledgeable of the brand and the available features and helped me navigate the inventory to find the right fit. I sent the deposit and Eric walked me through the rest of the process. I know it’s different than a new purchase experience but this dealership made it feel like an event during pickup. Eric is obviously a very detail oriented person, evident by how he presented the Tesla key fob on the desk and had every paper for signature perfectly aligned to the degree with the pen. The information session had flavour of a formal presentation or ceremony. This attention to detail helped alleviate any post purchase distress. I drove home an expert on the car and the smile hasn’t faded yet. I went here to get an appraisal on my car for trade in value and buy a tesla. A salesman came out, took pictures, asked questions. He said he would call us later in the day to give me a value and talk about buying the tesla. Never heard back from the man, ghosted me. Ended up going to a local car dealership in Oakville and got a much better deal on a used tesla.

I came to Shift motors with a lot of questions regarding electric vehicles, specifically Tesla's. I really didn't know a lot, and they spent a lot of time taking me through all the in's and out's of the cars. They were extremely knowledgable about Tesla's, with 3 or the 4 employee's present actually working for Tesla in the past. They laid out all the costs in a transparent and open fashion, offered me a reasonable value for my trade in as well. I even ended up forgetting my licence there by accident after my test drive and they mailed it back to me the same day. If you want to go to a place with good customer service, honest and transparent no-pressure sales, and second to none knowledge of specialty vehicles, such as Tesla's, look no further, these guys are the real deal!

The buying experience at Shift was great. Both Robert and Eric where pleasure to deal with. Eric spent over an hour with me going over various functions of the car. Very knowledgable and great customer service.

My cousin and I both bought Teslas from these guys and they were unbelievable. Raphy used to work at Tesla, so he knows everything. Eric was extremely patient and thorough in explaining everything. I highly recommend SHIFT for buying a used Tesla.

I went to this dealership a few days ago to look at a Tesla I had seen online. The dealership itself is pretty small but they have a pretty good selection of EV’s.
I didn’t end up purchasing a car that day because someone had just bought the car I was there to see and I couldn’t find another one that suited my needs and budget, but non the less I was impressed by the knowledge and transparency of both guys that helped us that day.

I cold called CEO Paul to get a bid on my Tesla Model S.
He was very professional and prompt.
I thought he showed great insight into the market and quoted me an excellent price.
I would use Shift Motors again when I have Tesla business to transact.

I would like to thank the staff at Shift Motors for making my recent car purchase a truly memorable experience. My wife and I were searching for a used Tesla and we stopped by Shift Motors, due to their large inventory of lightly used Teslas. Robert Brunato was the sales rep that we dealt with. We could tell right away that he is an honest person, and found him to be very knowledgeable in the various Tesla products & options. Within a short time they located a vehicle that matched what we were looking for, so we struck a deal.
I found the trade in values that they offered to be fairly competitive compared to other dealers that I had consulted. When we picked up our new vehicle Eric was very helpful going over the car from top to bottom so that we knew how most of the functions operated. I would highly recommend Shift Motors to anyone who is looking for a premium used vehicle.

I highly recommend Shift Motors – they really set themselves apart from other dealerships and this was truly the best car-buying experience I’ve ever been through! Read on to learn why!

My Scenario:

My friend was buying a brand-new Tesla and I wanted to purchase his old Tesla at the trade-in value. Ideally, my friend would have simply traded in his car to Tesla (to receive the HST advantage) and I would have immediately purchased his trade-in from Tesla; however, Tesla no longer facilitates this type of transaction. At this point, it seemed like I’d have to purchase the car from my friend in a private sale for the trade-in value plus his HST advantage he would have received on a trade-in. Luckily, I did some online research and came across Shift Motors, who specializes in pre-owned (and even new) Teslas. For a small admin fee, Shift facilitated the transaction so that my friend could receive the trade-in tax advantage, and I could purchase his car for the trade-in value. The transaction went like this:

- Shift Motors purchased a new Tesla

- My Friend purchased the new Tesla from Shift Motors and traded in his old Tesla to Shift (receiving the HST advantage for his old Tesla)

- I purchased my friend’s old Tesla from Shift Motors and traded in my old car to Shift (receiving the HST advantage for my old car)

In the end, we saved THOUSANDS of dollars compared to doing a private deal on our own!

Communication:

The staff at Shift (Raphy and Eric) are extremely friendly and passionate about their work – it feels as if you’re working with a family member or friend who’s giving you special treatment! Since they both have prior experience working with Tesla, they are extremely knowledgeable. They responded promptly and thoroughly to all of my questions. They were also very transparent by clearly articulating how they would profit from the transaction. Even after the transaction was completed Eric made a point of following up to make sure that everything went OK.

The Day of the Deal:

Everything went extremely smooth on the day of the transaction – Eric had all of the paperwork in order and all we had to do is sign a few papers. Both my friend and I were able to drive away in our new cars. It was incredibly easy!

Shift’s Admin Fee:

The admin fee that Shift charged to complete the transaction was very reasonable. In fact, I felt that they weren’t charging me enough for the services they offered so I even offered to pay more (which they declined)! The transaction was quite a bit of work on their part (i.e. Answering many preliminary questions from me and my neighbour, meeting to discuss before the purchase, setting up all the paperwork, meeting us at Tesla for two hours, post-transaction follow-ups, etc.)

Conclusion:

Whether you’re looking to buy a pre-owned Tesla or looking for someone to facilitate the purchase of a car off a friend, I highly recommend Shift Motors! I’ll certainly be back to Shift when my neighbour decides to sell his new Tesla to me
