Tried chicken dum briyani and veg thali today after reading reviews. Taste was just okay. But the Raita tasted bad in both thali and briyani. Wish they used quality yogurt.

Haven’t yet eaten over here but from the reviews I’ve had, seems like a great place.

Will edit the review once I dine in, excited to taste some good asian food.

Hi, I must say that the food tasted delicious but the naan they served is definitely not Indian. They served pitas instead of roti/puri when they claim it as Authentic South (Hyderabad) Indian restaurant? They should be serving chapathi/ roti or puri instead and not some ready-made pitas!

Best place to have South Indian food, benni dosa, Mysore masala and vada is a must try, and chicken biryani

I have been ordering food from this place from very long (1.5 years)

The taste/quality/quantity has been decent but there are occasions where their taste is not consistent either lack in flavour / meat is chewy.

Yesterday I ordered Small Chicken tray which costed $62.1. Dissatisfied with the quantity of Rice and meat.
2. Dissatisfied with the Taste of Biryani. No flavour. I can say by far the worst biryani I had. This is not exaggeration. I tried eating at North Indian biryanis in-fact they tasted way better than this.

3. Called the restaurant to provide feedback but they were not ready to accept it.

Overall, I will never order from this place.

Firstly, thank you for responding. I’m not complaining about cost but the quantity of partially filled biryani as you see in the pic, there is almost empty at the side. The pic was taken immediately opening the cover of Tray.

Secondly, yes the taste was not good. It’s customers who tell if the taste was/is good or not. It’s not a random or deliberate foul on your restaurant. I gave my review based on the experience I had.

Finally, you are not doing any favour by offering free biryani. That’s so rude that you gave this statement.

Price-conscious - if I was price conscious customer with the size of the tray you serve I would never have ordered or come back again and again. I mentioned the price so people will know. It’s insane response from management.

Tastes like home made food. Good place for indian food in waterloo. Only down side, they are open very limited times a week

The newly created RESHMI KABAB is so delicious and it is infused with delicate flavour and melts in mouth. There is no strong food coloring or agents. It is all natural

Just recently tasted Schewan Dosa a take on Indian dosa with Chinese spice and is amazing

The best place in KW for south Indian food. The idlis were very soft and fresh (unlike other places which have a leathery coating due to microwave reheating), the chutney was fresh and not frozen and defrosted. The dosas were authentic, spicy and tasty. The benne (butter) dosa had a nice buttery feel. Yummy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to eat a good South Indian food.
I will be a regular customer to this restaurant!

Hyderabadi chicken biriyani is awesome. But the quantity is less compared to other options in KW.
Tried their meals but it wasn't good. Their chicken biriyani is not sufficient for 1 person.

Best part about this place is Biryani. All the biryani lovers have a place in Waterloo to eat South Indian Biryani. Flavourful and delicious one.

They catered 2 of our small gatherings and the food was excellent both the times.cant rave enough about the awesome taste.closest to the authentic taste you can get.we would recommend them to each and every friend of ours.keep up the good work

Food is very delicious, service is prompt and staff is polite and friendly.
Sambar and Tomato chutney is very delicious. Try anything on the menu, you will not be disappointed.

My first order today from this place, the chicken biryani was so perfectly cooked, rice so light and fluffy and chicken wasn't dry, it was perfect. I had biryani before from other places and sometimes their rice needed to be cook more! But here omg first bite and I was in heaven! Just wish a little less heat for the biryani though. I love spicy and medium hot.
Mango lassi has the right thickness and sweetness and it does taste mango!

I will definitely order again from this place!

Visit this hidden place by recommendation of my friend I ordered for plain dosa podi dosa normal idli and Karan idli and my friend had muttton biriyani words cannot describe how I enjoyed the items there.

While take out the service is really bad if asking for extra chutney not providing and very harshly saying that this is only for dine in and not for take out this is really bad service

Having a great biriyani after a long time. A bit spicy but great taste. I had ordered Chicken and Mutton biriyani. Both were good. Will definitely recommend.

One of the best restaurants for Hyderabadi food in and around KWC. The biryani in particular is authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani that you wont find in a lot of places in Canada, and I would definitely rate their biryani top 5 I have ever tasted.

I wish they had longer hours and more options in the menu to try out. A must visit for all Indian and particularly Hyderabadi food lovers.

Tandoori Chicken was amazing in taste. It’s juicy and delicious. Chicken Biriyani is good as well.

Had tried the Chicken Biryani. It was well-cooked especially the rice, they were not sticky and mushy which is great. On the bright side, the spice combinations were perfect and blended well.

A friend from waterloo gave me a tray of chicken Biryani in Mississauga and truly it was great. I don't think any restaurant in Mississauga can match Shiris Biryani.

Finally a Hyderabadi/South Indian restaurant in Waterloo that sells great food. Loved their biryani, almost the same as how my mom makes it! Wish they operated at different times so I could have food from them all the time. Food definitely reminds me of home.

I ordered veg thali and everything sounds like spoiled food and packed improper the whole oil is in the dessert.

Best Indian food I've ever had in my life no exaggeration, and I'm Indian. Their Chicken Biryani is something I've probably order literally 20 times and I'll never get sick of it. It's really just that good. They should really be charging more for the flavour and quality the food is. Their place is small but that's honestly good cause they will really be focused on what's most important, making good tasting food. Genuinely hope you people grow so you can share your amazing food with more people in the world. Wish you people all the best!

I was very pleased by the past reviews and decided to order some food. The taste was good but was spicy as I found not-so fine cut green peppers in the Dosas. Additionally, if the quantity of sambhar can be increased with each items would be great. I hope to see you guys again!

Food is amazing. I've tried so many Indian food places and this place tops them all. There chicken dum briyani is so delicious great service that is friendly and fast. Highly recommend.

The only place in in Waterloo region, I tasted real touch of Biryani. The mutton quantity was less though but no complain

This has got to be the best tasting curry I have had in this region. Staff were very friendly. So happy I live so close. Really looking forward to exploring both the Dosa’s and their new Indian street food.

Delicious food, came hot and fresh through Uber Eats. I received a very sweet handwritten note with my order signed by Shiri herself! I'd never tried Gulab Jamun before and it was so good and sweet! The chicken in the Dum Biryani and Raita was very spicy but really moist and flavourful:) Would love to visit here in person and explore more of the menu!

Ordered mutton biryani over ubereats. Disappointed with quantity and the mere two-three tiny pieces of meat which is majorly bones. Taste was average.
Just read their response to other reviewer's who gave genuine feedback. I'm appalled by their lack of manners and ethics. Do not bother ordering from these arrogant shiri's kitchen owners.

I like this restaurant for Dosa and all tiffin varieties. Chicken briyani is ok and Mutton briyani is not OK. I had been for dining before lockdown and takeout recently. Nice service.

Food was great. Delicious. But menu is limited for online orders. You have to be there to try out more. People are friendly, good customer service.

Tried the food today. The dosas are AMAZING and we were very impressed with the bagara baingan as well. Great flavour! We will definitely be returning!

Very clean place, especially the kitchen is super clean. I like the places with nice and clean kitchen, it means they value the food that they serve. I just got to see the kitchen by chance when I went toward wrong way. Apart from that food is delicious and tasty

My friend recommended this place to me couple months back. I live almost 20kms away in the other part of the region but still prefer to order food from them. Glad that the range of delivery has increased. Absolutely love their food. Chettinad chicken dosa is amazing (if only it could be included in delivery menu, it’ll be great). I love this place, we order every week i guess. There service is really good and taste ofcourse. We always order paneer dosa, onion spring dosa and biryani or idli. And it’s always worth it. And their prices are worth comparing to. Must try guys.

I ordered masala dosa, idli, uthappam and veg thali.
Dosa was good idli wasn't fresh and felt like it's reheated in microwave before serving uthappam was good whereas veg thali was terrible couldn't even had one bite from it. Quantity for sambhar for this order was just one plastic box which wasn't enough was order as there were 4 dosa 2 plates idli and two uthappam so we ended up having idli with just chutney.

I had previously written a 5 star review but my last couple of trips there have been disappointing.
Last month when placing an order, I was accused by them of not paying for the food I had purchased 3 weeks ago. I knew this wasn't the case and I had to show my credit card statement to prove that I had paid.
Today, I made another order of 2 mysore masala dosas and wanted a larger container of sambar which was $8. They initially brought a small bag, which did not seem to have a bigger sambar container. When I asked about this before leaving the store, I was told that the sambar is inside. I wasn't convinced and opened the bag in my car. They had given me an extra 50c container of sambar and charged $8 for it. I went back in. They finally gave me sambar in a bigger container, but even this container is equivalent to maybe 4 of the 50cent containers that they sell (but I was charged $8 for it), I don't think this is right.
Even the taste of the sambar today was not good- it is too salty.
After these experiences, I am never going back there again.

Their food is delicious! But they claim that they prepare halal food, but I did not see any certification on halal. As I eat halal although the food is delicious, I'm not going back.

When ever I miss home, I visit this restaurant. Hands down best telugu/southindian food in kitchener, Waterloo and cambridge.

I think it goes without saying that this is probably the best Indian food in KW region. Have been visiting this place nearly every week with my family. Thanks for the great food!

The experience I got from here is impressive. We went there for having lunch. Though the spacing area is conjusted, the food is tasty and economical. I loved the experience!
