Most disappointing and ridiculous customer service and pricing. The manager didn’t even bother coming down to the floor to listen to my concern. Charging $60 for a passport picture, after quoting a lower price initially to grab customers. After the print is done she asked me $35 extra for digital copy. Save your money and go to a Neighbourhood convenience store to get it done. Boycott all these big chains and super stores that extort customers by pricing high and getting away with it. Never shopping here again

There should be city policies in place to address businesses that are expected to provide restroom facilities but continuously claim that they are out of order, especially in the case of establishments like Shoppers Drug Mart, which is a pharmacy. If a bathroom is genuinely out of order for an extended period, as they have claimed for over a year, it raises concerns about the business's ability to meet essential customer needs and should be addressed by regulatory authorities.

Convenient location - friendly staff - odd layout and not easiest store to find what you’re looking for and can be out of some basic items

The pharmacy team are rude and inconsiderate. I wouldn't be writing this review if i hadn't experienced this consistently. I've been to this store several times and everytime I've dealt with them, they give you an attitude and tell me to go to another Shopper's store. They don't care to help you and they are NOT empathetic to the customers. I've seen them deal with other people and I have personally experienced this several times here. Will not go back to this store. I would not recommend this shopper's to anyone.

Called a few hours in advance to ask if I could have my passport photos taken here. They said I could come in anytime. When I arrived waited 15 minutes to be seen. And in the end the camera didn’t even work. There was a problem with the memory chip. When I asked if they had a second memory chip the attendant said and I quote “we only have one of everything”

Worst experience with a cashier, beyond upset. I work in the customer service industry and deal with customers all the time and I never have them leaving with this feeling of anger. I would like a manager from this location to call me. I would like to know how they train the sales cashiers.

I'm all for giving service providers such as pharmacists and store clerks the benefit of the doubt but I have had more than one unpleasant experience at this store over many years. If you are going to grab some stuff, it's a good store. If you want this as your regular pharmacy maybe think again. They seem to be too busy to care about how customers are experiencing their service.

Don’t buy Amazon gift cards from this store. My sister in law bought an Amazon gift card from this store. We went back n forth with Shoppers n Amazon. Even if Amazon confirmed that the card was used before date of purchase, Shoppers won’t refund the $100. This was bought by pension money n is a huge amount for us! DO NOT BUY GIft cards from this store

Just had the most unpleasant experience at this pharmacy counter at this Shopper's 236 Bloor Street West. Have to say it's not my first with this counter. After waiting patiently for a customer to be helped in line, the pharmacist walked away and proceeded to continue her work. She looked up and asked, can I help you all the while looking down - bored, unengaged, uninterested? I'm not sure. I gave up too. Please note: The service at the Beauty Bar is impeccably courteous, professional and pleasant.

I had to get my permanent residency photo taken today. Lanie helped me. She was courteous and kind. I appreciate that. Thanks so much!

I was yelled at on Sunday September 6th afternoon by a cashier.she was the only cashier there away from the cash register when I wanted to check out, I just wonder why I was yelled at.due to social distancing guidelines there were plexiglass in front of the counter.so I was confused where to put the product. I was yelled loudly to put the product down to get it scanned. Very badly treated today.not a good experience at all.

As both a grocery store and pharmacy, it’s pretty baffling that you don’t have hand sanitizer at your entrances/exits while there is a health crisis going on.

Outside of that, it’s an ok store. Grocery selection not the best. Good if you know what you need and are only coming for a couple of things.

Would love to see Shoppers and other stores move towards package free products.

I wanna put 0.5 star but I cannot. Today Dec 5th, I spent 500$ in shopper with annoying cashier, actually she is beauty expert (failed expert with poor professional skill). Her name is LEI LA M. After she checked out all my items, she just forced me to pay right away while I told I need few minutes to ask my friend. At that time there is nobody line up for paying. Furthermore, after I got home, I did check the bill. She checked out extra items in my bill while I did not take that. They also told me that I will get sale 3$ off coupon for 1 item, but actually it's liar. I noticed that when I got home, so I dont know how I can get back my money. Such a bad experience. Never come back this location.

One of the worst, if not the worst stores in Toronto. Besides the racist non white staff being rude to white customers and/ or ignoring them altogether every time you go there looking for something and you finally do find a non white employee who will talk to you they would usually tell you in a rude manner that they are either out of stock, and/or they don't carry it anymore. Giving them one star is STILL one too many. Personally I'd prefer to give them none. If you're white, and still want to visit this dump, you've been warned!

I’ll be plain honest - I only came here because UofT students get discounts - and I did. Wanted to clarify the stars aren’t taken off because of the service, but rather the pricing.
I wouldn’t go into too much details, but before you spend your precious money, ALWAYS make sure to check on amazon/Walmart first. Apparently a LOT of their snacks (chips, chocolate bars) are super expensive comparing to other stores.even with the discount it’s not worth it.

An okay little Shoppers Drug Mart. It has its uses, but I still have no idea why it exists given how many other Shoppers stores there are nearby.

It loses a star because of its size and odd layout in relation to other nearby stores. Like three blocks away is one of the "flagship" stores for Toronto. The store is honestly way too small for the amount of stuff they tried to cram in it. Seriously, the aisles are insanely narrow and features shelves high enough that you need to be probably at least 6-feet tall in order to reach.

Oh, and the cash layout where they now have those self-checkouts is cramped as hell.

Otherwise it's decently stocked and the staff seem okay.

I've had generally positive experiences with this pharmacy. The pharmacy owner is friendly and approachable and I have had zero issues with him. The other pharmacists are equally as good albeit perhaps not as upbeat (but that's okay since they are pharmacists not entertainers). Keep in mind this pharmacy also regularly has UofT pharmacy students doing their placements there and so sometimes they may get confused, but that is to be expected during the learning process. Patience is key.

Some of the pharmacist needs proper training.
They won't brush u under the rug if you want to purchase from the pharmacy cashier even if your buying your pharmaceutical drugs from the. Its like you dont exist.

Guys, please do not come to this store.
This store refused to return my online purchase, because I cannot return 1 free sample, and they do not listen to my explanation which I'm allergic to the product.
Before I purchasing the Elizabethan Arden anti-aging serum online, I went to this store in order to try this product first, since they don't have the product in store, the sales lady suggested me to purchase it online and she told me if the product does not work for me, I can return it in store, even after using it within 30 days.
Then, I purchased the product online with 3 free samples. After testing the product on to my skin, my skin became red after using it. So I stopped using it and decided to return it.

I felt offended, because they treated me like someone who tried to take advantage of their policy. This is the very first time for me to return product to shoppers drug mart, I followed the return policy return within 30 days. I cannot use this product because I'm allergic to it, but they told me that they cannot return it because I cannot return 1 of the sample and they said it is not about the product.

I even said I can pay for the 1 missing free sample for return, but they refused. I have to contact the customer service department for this whole story. Will follow up with the customer service.

Always excellent and that's why this store wins awards.

The Beauty Boutique really makes this store the best, what it lacks in size it makes up for in service and effort.

Last Friday I attended the Smashbox photo shoot event at this location and I had an excellent experience. From the minute I arrived for my appointment I was greeted with a smile by Ambrose and taken to my make up artists chair. The whole experience was so well planned and organized. The boutique looked amazing! Ambrose is so professional and knowledgeable, he helped my chose out the right products for my skin and never once did I feel rushed. If you need a cosmetic pro.this guy is amazing! Thank you Ambrose!

Overall, I like this Shoppers. It isn't big, but it has the essentials. Also, I like that they offer a student discount. However, I had a negative experience with the beauty department. The woman I dealt with was pushy, trying to get me to buy the more expensive products even though I was initially in the regular products aisle. I told her my skin concerns and that I wanted a fragrance-free moisturizer, yet she encouraged me to buy one which turned out to have a fragrance and was not suitable for my skin. I suggest that the beauty staff do not get paid by commission so that they consider the customer's interests.

This must be one of the top two worse Shoppers in town, persistently. I came here to upload my Presto card. Just as if Satan himself was there. A moment I was next in the line the customer services woman picked up the phone and she was going on and on and on. I had to leave. No appology and no word of remorse. I had to go to another Shoppers. The closest one is on Yonge at Charles.

This place is WAYYYY better than the one at Yonge and College, not as many sketchy people
but they no longer sell the good extra-soft toothbrushes that they used to sell

The Beauty Boutique offers the best cosmetic and makeup brands and superb service by Manager Ambrose and his team of beauty advisors.

The workers there helped me pick out a mothers day gift for my mom and i bought 1 $13 lipstick and they gave me free little things like a cream kit, a little perfume stick etc. My mom was definitely impressed and its all thats to the great constumer care. Im not sure what the lady's names were but 1 works in the makeup department and has dark skin and the other is tan who works in the regular department. I encourage anybody looking for a nice cheap gift to ask them for advice as they really helped alot.
