The staff at the pharmacy are condescending, and unfriendly. Customer Service is not in their vocabulary. Given there are two alternative pharmacies a ten minute walk from here I’m lucky I won’t have to darken their door with my business again. I recommend you do the same

Here's a story of how the employees treated my mother on seniors day.
Last Thursday, she came in on seniors day to avail of the 20% discount on overpriced potato chips. 'Hardbite' price listed at $4.79 and she took the bag to the counter where it rang as $4.49. The cashier says since they are on sale, she does not get a discount. My mother explained they are not advertised on sale, the price tag says $4.79 but the cashier shrugs her shoulders. So my mom told her - well make sure you guys change the tag then because I came out here expecting to have the 20% discount.

Now 1 week later, seniors day, the tags still remain the same marked full price $4.79 and the incident repeats itself at the counter. This time my mom explains the situation to the manager who proceeds to give my mother a hard time ultimately refusing to honor a seniors discount because the item is apparently 'on sale'. She once again does not get the seniors discount she specifically made the trip for.

So, dear OWNER (cuz management are clearly incompetent), fix your advertised prices for starters, and if you plan to advertise a 'seniors day' maybe have staff trained on how to not give them such grief over $1 discount? Shame on you guys. How will you hold yourselves accountable?

UPDATE: they've changed the tag, but still haven't acknowledged their poor treatment of seniors.also, you can get the SAME CHIPS at FORTINOS across the street for $3.50 (and on sale for $3 sometimes!) Shoppers pricing is a scam.

The Pharmacy will make you wait every time you go and often I was told they couldn’t fill my whole prescription. Also the store seems to have a problem keeping basics in stock. Stay away.

Brutal pharmacy. Would not recommend! Pharmacists don’t have any customer service experience and there is an extreme lack of communication.

I share the same sentiment as the previous reviews. I also dealt with the older woman cashier, she wasn’t rude but she was snappy and told me to go complain to head office because she was taught to not take passport photos of babies despite me showing her the shoppers website saying yes you do even newborns (my baby is 21 months) so I listened to her and complained. The “customer service” made my experience even worse if you can imagine that’s possible. By the 5th email they are asking me for location again lol and said “manager said your description doesn’t match the employee, thanks for your feedback” lol are we kidding? Is this how shoppers chooses to handle customer service of a loyal customer of over 30 years? I’m so disappointed. As you can see I didn’t leave my review until the 6th correspondence as I gave them a chance to make things right - they failed. I will be sharing my honest experience on social platforms. Please give business to somewhere else who values a customer.

The cashier old lady had a very rude attitude and behavior towards the customer. If they need to ask a customer something they should be polite and with a smiling welcoming expression with smile but no customer service skills was seen. I am mentioning the time here so that the management can see that it was around 11: 58 PM on May 2nd. Didn't like the attitude of asking seriously and customer service skills with no welcome and no smile. ZERO Customer Service skills. Request the store manager to please add some training to this cashier. I forgot to look up the name bcz I was on a phone call. Thank you

I highly recommend you use a different pharmacy. They'll assure you your prescription will be ready and delivered, when in fact they do neither and you end up missing doses for days. This has happened numerous times to me at this pharmacy. It's dangerous and potentially life-threatening.

Post office should be open at 9: 00 today. The staff is not there on time and management doesn’t know when they will be open. How is that ok and how there would be no back up?

Love coming to this store for all my makeup and perfume! Every time I go in in, Fran goes above and beyond to find me exactly what I’m looking for… I also love getting my makeup done by her! Highly recommend!

This store has such a huge, beautiful beauty boutique! The staff are incredibly helpful and there are so many amazing brands available! I would really like to thank both Stephanie and Veru for consistently providing exceptional customer service. They go above and beyond to make you feel special! Thank you guys so much!

I give up on Shoppers pharmacies period. I've decided to move my prescriptions from this location to another pharmacy (non Shoppers) after only a couple of visits. The lines are disorderly, and the staff are very disorganised and somewhat surly. I've seen other busy pharmacies use a numbering system or txt messaging service, which might be a solution to the overcrowding. On top of that, this is only place where management does not waive the pharmacy fees, which would be a kind reward to continued customer loyalty. There is a Rexall across the street and Fortino's also has a pharmacy. D-

As of January 27th, 2022, the parking here is a mess because they haven't cleared all the parking spaces. The last few times I have come here, it has been a disaster trying to find a parking spot.

Normally this store is fine, but we had a bad experience tonight. My wife and I have both been immunized due to our medical condition. This also prevents us from wearing a mask. Though the bylaw covers our exemptions we had to deal with an extremely rude employee who was not aware of the law. Blatant discrimination needs to stop and this employer needs to do better educating the staff

I went to the post office to mail a pre paid package. I went in directly so the tracking would begin. The male associate helping me took the box and placed it on the front counter and went back to merchandising.
As I was walking away I noticed this and took my package back and not one associate noticed. Anyone could have taken it at any time.
I will never go back to this location again

While visiting this store this afternoon the store manager Patrick asked me if I would like to use the self checkout.
When I told him I preferred to wait for a cashier as I wanted to support the cashiers.
He proceeded to tell me this was not the time to support the cashiers he said it was too busy?
There were two people in front of me and approx 8 people in total in the line.
The cashiers and floor staff at this store are soo friendly and helpful. I believe in showing support to the people who are employed to service the customers not the automated machines. I’m the paying customer visiting your store. This manager Patrick, made me feel very uncomfortable as he continued to repeat this several times‍️

Worst Electronics return policy. Take it or leave it with no return. I have never heard such harsh words in even a third world country. Shopper Drug Mart need to shows respect towards consumer rights by appointing right people for right job. Jacky is a wonderful person and helped a lot, but his manager Patrick (may be not right name as he was not wearing coat) was very harsh on return policy.

Do yourself a favour, never buy electronics from Shoppers.

Bought a pair of Nintendo Joy Cons here (For anyone unfamiliar, they are expensive, nearly $100 dollar game controllers). Upon getting home we noticed they were strangely dusty inside the box. Later discovered they did not work at all; completely broken.

We go back less then 24 hours later and ask to exchange for a working pair, get told “sorry, no refunds on opened electronics. ” We reiterated that we didn’t want a refund, just a functioning item and that they sold us something broken. “Sorry, it’s store policy. You’ll have to do warranty on them. ” Got the same answer from the supervisor as well.

I sell electronics. (Speakers and TVs). If I sold someone something and they opened it to find it completely broken, and I just shrugged at them? That would be completely unacceptable. We don’t want our money back, we just want a working item. Now we have to do a warranty process ourselves on an item we bought 2 days ago. Who knows how long that will take?

The funniest part is, we were just going to order them on Amazon Prime but decided to support a Canadian business instead. Ha. Lesson learnt. We’ll just order on Amazon next time; they would have replaced them by now.

The most unprofessional dismissive unhelpful advise from the pharmacist I have ever received. Never going there for help or advice again. Rest of the staff were helpful.

I have shopped at this store since it opened. Although it is busy, it is well staffed and the staff is efficient. I drive by several other pharmacies to get here, but I continue to use this store for my pharmaceutical needs. I like the fact that it also has a large beauty area and a grocery department.

This was my second time at this shoppers, and I'm quite surprised to say that the cosmetics ladies were absolutely excellent, but the rest of the staff I found disappointing. (In my experience it's usually the other way around).
There was probably about 5 girls that kept walking past me, and at first I couldn't understand why none of them would say hello, or smile back at me or anything. It wasn't until later that my friend told me it was most likely BC they thought I was shoplifting or something. (I'm a very slow shopper, I like looking and comparing before purchasing). The staff kind of circling me is not an uncommon thing in shoppers drug mart. (That's a story for another day though).
Even after it was apparent that I wasn't shoplifting, they still could not stop glaring at me as though I had personally slighted them!
The only reason I am still giving this shoppers 4stars is because of the 2 wonderful cosmeticians.

My daughter bought blue Got 2 b hair dye to use on her 10 year old virgin hair. Didn't do a thing at all!
So I called this Shoppers to see if they would do a refund as I thought it was maybe expired (couldn't tell from the expiry code) or do a store credit - nope.
So I wont be coming here at all anymore.

Very impressed with the Shoppers on Appleby & New. I needed a prescription filled for my 80+ year old father and Costco couldn't fill and ship it due to demand. Going out right now and picking up a prescription is risky. I called and told Shoppers the situation and they took over and created the blister packs in one day and delivered it to our house! Incredible! So thankful. Thank you so very much!

Had a great experience shopping in the beauty boutique. I bought a cologne by TOM FORD and had no idea what it smelt like, unfortunately there was no tester for the product. The beauty boutique employee already knew what it smelt like, described it to me, and interested me to buy it. I took a shot in the dark and lets just say it was 100% worth my money. Customer service is out the roof in the beauty boutique at this location for the two times that I have shopped here. Thank you, Ugyen

Pharmacy is a mess, worst place to drop off your prescriptions and they lie in front of your face. They do not deserve shoppers drug mart.

I love this pharmacy. I moved to Burlington in March and had some issues transferring my prescriptions over to this pharmacy (not their fault) and they were SO helpful. The pharmacists there really pay attention and Sanjay, the associate owner at the pharmacy is always so nice and helpful. Everyone there is great!

I went into the store with my 20 yr old daughter, was waiting on my meds decide to go and look at mens cologne was asking questions of which product was which (cologne are not beside the products) and then decide to go looking at what xmas gifts they sold. Before staff come and ask if we need help, they called security then asked if we needed help. Why you ask? RACIAL PROFILING BECAUSE WE WHERE BLACK. I felt embarrassed and ashame after this incident that i will never set foot back in the store to buy another item or fill my prescription there again. They never stopped any other race just us because we where black. Bunch of racist work in this shoppers drug mart.

The pharmacy staff were very friendly and helpful. The wait times for a prescription were reasonable and quicker than the other shoppers I go to. The staff member who helped me get my prescription transferred was amazing. I’m keeping my prescription at this location even though it’s more out of the way.

Terrible the associate is so unprofessional and rude to his employees and customers have no idea why it's still open I heard someone got fired because she was pregnant. Terrible management. And all the staff make fun of the patients. My whole family transfered. They watch everyone like there stealing. I've never been treated so bad at a pharmacy in my life. All the customers who think the pharmacy manager cares so much stick around and hear what he really thinks of you. You think he cares he can be sitting there picking his nose and say he's in a meeting. That's probably why that store looses power so often if you want real health care go anywhere else.
