Sophie is a wonderful pharmacist! I was super anxious and she was so helpful, going above and beyond to help me with some very complicated decision making. Very grateful for her help and expertise!
Quite a good selling point, even despite some reviews about the bad attitude from the employees of the point. I have visited this store twice in the last month and have not noticed this yet (maybe the staff has changed, or I just got on a different shift of workers).
The range of products is good, you can easily find what you need, but keep in mind that most medicines are given here only by prescription from a doctor.
Of the minuses, now I can only note a large number of homeless people near the store, as well as frequent customers in the form of drug addicts, etc.
Worst customer service. Called to ask for refills and the person I spoke to started yelling at me. Will never be going here again and recommend anyone avoid this pharmacy because the staff here is lacking social skills.
Hello, I went yesterday to this location and bought a 18 package of Pepsi zero sugar, it was on sale for 6.99. When I tried the product today, it tasted very bad. When I checked the expiration day of the product. It says SEPT 13 2021. How is this possible? A store like shoopers drug mart selling expired products to their customers. What is the policy of this company on checking the products that are selling to customers. Does anyone know where can i complaint to this? This is a threat to public health. Thanks
I had one of the worst experiences ever here. PARENTS BEWARE - DONT GET YOUR CHILDREN'S FLU SHOT HERE. When I got to the pharmacy on 524 queen st w. They said they were not trained to give a flu shot to a 2.5 years old child.they said they would do it anyways. Once we were all ready, removed jackets, sweater, etc.the pharmacist said they didnt have the flu shot for kids under 5. I travelled with my toddler and my newborn baby and my mom since I cant keep my baby at home by themselves. If they were not trained then the pharmacy should not be available on the system for booking and if they didn't have flu shots then they should have called me before my appointment to let me know, instead they sent me a reminder to come, even though I had booked 2 weeks ago. This is unbelievable and something that should be reviewed. Parents please make sure you don't book here!
I went into this shoppers today to simply buy bobbypins. I located them easily and was in the isle for about a minute when I noticed the makeup clerk had followed me in the isle and had been watching to see if I had been stealing (I am a black woman). As I made my way over to the self checkout she called me over and had the security stop me and made me pay at her station. I am exhausted by encounters like this that should've been a simple shopping experience. I will not be returning to this Shoppers again and if you're a Person of color I don't suggest you do either!
I wish i could give NO STARS! I was getting my prescription filled, when this lady came in asking for hers (it wasn’t ready yet) She had a bladder infection, was in quite some pain, she needed to use the washroom badly, she politely asked the staff at the prescription counter to please use the washroom, they refused her, and told her to go across the street to Lowblaws. Sorry, i really don’t get it. That is such BAD customer service! Shame on you Shoppers and shame on the store manager who instruct their staff to refuse washroom access.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ALERT: So, I entered the store expecting to buy a few cosmetics. This attendant Hiba didn’t even respond when I asked her to help me out.
First of all, these employees don’t know what they’re doing, she didn’t even know the shade of my foundation. I don’t know what fake credentials got her her job.
I had to call her twice to get her to help me and eventually she did. She asked me to come cash out, but I needed some more help with another product and she just went on conducting her business and talking to her colleague, CHIT-CHATTING basically. I made the decisions myself after all and I wanted to bill-out, so I asked them more than thrice if the lane was open for billing and they didn’t respond (THE AUDACITY).
I would’ve ended up buying more products, if this wasn’t the case. They really need to work on staffing the right people.
Rudest experience so far, I’d rather you go to another Shoppers altogether because this one’s not worth your time.
I am transgender and recently started hormone replacement therapy, I’ve heard people can have pretty poor interactions when picking up their HRT. I was shocked by the extra care the pharmacist took yesterday to call me by my last name until they asked me what name I’d like to have on file. This small interaction meant the world to me. If you are at all worried about judgement when picking up your medications, this seems to be a safe space.
I find the negative reviews about this store surprising to say the least. I have been going there for nearly 20 years and have always found all the staff to be helpful and courteous. The pharmacy's staff in particular have always been of the utmost help even in difficult circumstances.
The wife wanted a perfume which they had readily available.
Furthermore, the person helping us explained the specials for using optimum points to which resulted in getting 2 bottles of perfume/cologne for $47.00
And she even provided small samples of other colognes/perfumes to try out.
Terrible location, inside and out. Outside, there's always at least one person at the doors begging. After you walk in, you realize how they have poor selection on a variety of things, and if you want to ask anyone who works there you'd swear your trying to pull their teeth. It's so clear how none of them want to be there nor do they want to help you. I just had to go to the cash register because I had to use cash and the woman at the register was so abrasive and clearly just wanted to get rid of me as fast as possible. Other locations tend to be better so I'm going elsewhere from now on.
Literally the rudest pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. They will take forty minutes to fill a basic prescription, get it wrong, and still manage to act they're doing you a favour. I went here for years because it was the closest to my house and never once had a decent experience. I'm so glad I don't have to use this location anymore.
I see quite a few poor reviews about the pharmacy. I have had several frustrating experiences with mix ups and errors with my prescriptions; however, my most recent experience motivated me to transfer all my prescriptions to a pharmacy that is farther away. The pharmacist gave me information that was untrue, and I called the head office to confirm this. He did this because it was better for him, and I a prefer store that practices good customer service, honesty and accuracy, especially considering that I have been loyal to SDM for many years.
Sunday July 5th around 2pm. Security guard standing outside yelling at customers in line for no reason. Preventing customers from entering instead of facilitating entry. Should really consider screening your security guards because they're negatively impacting your business. Not a good look
Really poor service at the pharmacy. Staff is rude and often incompetent. Been going here regularly for the last few months and have had refills bungled by them. One time they called me in to pick up a prescription for 3 pills (regularly 60) and told me to come back later for the other 57.
If I could rate this place a zero as far as the Pharmacy department I would. I came to this location to fill a prescription for my baby. The Pharmacist was questioning my prescription, why the dosage was low, and asking what I was using it for when the prescription indicated the date of birth of my baby and I would think a pharmacist would know what the prescription is for. My baby was not feeling well and based on this pharmacist she was refusing to fill the prescription. Keep in mind this was not pain medication it was clearly irrefutable that the prescription was for a baby. Any mother would understand the annoyance of travelling to a location to fill a prescription for a pharmacist to refuse as if she was the doctor who wrote it. Instead of having a prescription that could have helped my baby I had to go to Sick Kids. Such a disgusting Pharmacist!
I came to this location to get my passport photos and I was told by the post office person she’s closing in 5 mins and can’t do the photos. Absolutely no sense of customer service! Thanks for nothing!
Now my PC points go further with shoppers and Presidents Choice joining forces. Now you find PCProducts in most locations. This particular location has two floors for you to wander through.
