With this newer person running the pharmacy, it is very unorganized and takes forever to get medications filled, as well as not being able to keep up with their customers. Not Good.

Im back on here Dec 20 2023. It's worse. Delivery guy has had my meds for 2 days. Took to old address again after I updated address & phone # at pharmacy but he said they didn't. He keeps saying 945pm when it specifies 5pm. Bad enough pharmacy isn't renewing meds when they're due or 4 days after you call. They need to lose their licence. Count your pills, I've been short 6 on my tecta and he even wrote it on the box how many there were but they wouldn't give me the 6. Tried charging me for meds covered for years (odsp). Staff dont answer the phones & sit there doing nothing. Just ignore customers, but not working. Im leaving & going where werners delivery company is. They get you your meds delivered fast. Im contacting the College of Pharmacists! I left here before. ###First the delivery person doesn't show up at all leaving you waiting for 12 hours. 2nd they only fill a partial prescription making low income disabled people come back for what's owing over & over. 3rd I've had to go without all of my meds because they either didn't get delivered, weren't filled after waiting weeks, or delivered to wrong address or sorry someone forgot to put me on the delivery. I get sorry I apologize, I'll call the driver & never hear back & have to keep calling. Still excuses no meds. I never had a problem with Shoppers DrugMart in Bowmanville Mall for 23years. This shoppers says Dr didn't fax monthly med when they did, won't fill entire prescription, don't deliver or deliver to wrong address when they say they're delivering causing me to go off of 5 medications I've been on for years cold turkey. Seizure meds even. They are worse than prior ownership & need to be investigated.

I was over at the cosmetics side trying to find my shade which was very hard to find. I tried to ask the lady working in the cosmetics department and she literally dismissed me and said she can’t help me especially with colouring matching my for my Color. Disappointing.

The pharmacy is super slow. Can't find nothing even after prescription has been filled in line for 45 minutes. Just to pick up a prescription that's been ready for days. Time For people to go to other locations

What is wrong with this pharmacy? The staff have no sense of urgency, they don’t listen, they are dismissive. The waiting time to pick up your filled prescription is unreasonable and unacceptable. No one should have to wait 25 minutes to pick up prescription. There is no reason for that. Do better.

Worst drug store ever! Poorly managed, staff could care less, pharmacy is a nightmare! Every single time there was some issue or prescription wasn't ready, or they ran out. Never a cashier around, and they don't answer the phone. I'm not the only customer who has left this store, I'm sure.

This is one of the worst pharmacies. My scripts aren't even processed for days after they've been faxed over. It takes several calls for them to "find it and process it" if I don't call for 3 days, I'll go 3 days without my medication. I get being busy, but having a script for 3 days is absurd

We mainly use the Shoppers for our prescriptions and I have to say it is absolutely horrible. We have a sensitive prescription and they are horrible at keeping it in stock or even notify us when it is unavailable.

I am writing this review after a series of unfortunate experiences with my local pharmacy. The level of unprofessionalism and inefficiency is downright appalling and left me not only frustrated, but concerned for the wellbeing of myself and fellow patients.

Upon entering the pharmacy, one is immediately greeted by the sight of medications strewn about the floor, waiting for pickup. This in itself is unacceptable. Medications should be handled with the utmost care and respect, and leaving them haphazardly on the floor not only jeopardizes their integrity but also the privacy of patients.

But the issues extend far beyond sloppy management of physical inventory. The real issue is the abhorrent handling of in-stock, partially filled, owed, or reconfigured medications. There's an inherent understanding that certain medications might not be available at all times, however, the lack of effective communication and professionalism in managing such cases is shocking.

I was told that a certain medication I needed was on order and would be available the following week. When I returned, I was told it wasn't in stock and that I should get a new script from my doctor. The rigmarole of back-and-forth communications with my doctor and the pharmacy was a frustrating ordeal, requiring multiple trips and an absurd amount of time explaining medication dosages.

Sadly, it was apparent that I was not the only one experiencing such a nightmare. I witnessed a lady breaking down at the counter because of a bungled prescription and a gentleman simply giving up trying to decipher the reasoning behind what's in stock and what's not.

To add insult to injury, the pharmacy seems to have a lackadaisical approach towards its billing practices. After being issued a different dosage to accommodate the pharmacy's inventory shortcomings, I was still charged additional out-of-pocket fees, despite having already paid an initial fee. I wonder, should not my original payment have covered the difference?

Based on my observations, it seems to me that the pharmacy might be using the guise of "out of stock" medications as a tactic to cover for their own inadequacies in dealing with insurance billing rules. This raises questions about the integrity of the pharmacy's operations and management.

This local pharmacy, and more importantly its pharmacists, need to take a hard look at their Standard Operating Procedure. They must remember that they are not running a haphazard dollar store but a vital healthcare provider. Patient's health, trust, and privacy are at stake here. Their current handling of things not only erodes trust, but also jeopardizes the wellbeing of patients, something that should never be the outcome of a visit to a pharmacy.

After being at this location over 40 years we are now looking for a new pharmacy. The mistakes are unbelievable. It has gotten to the point that we accept they don't have our medication on hand and need to order it always. That they forgot to order it. That after multiple phone calls someone finally orders it. They leave peoples prescriptions on the floor in boxes, on other desks, there is always a mess. After waiting an hour to pick up meds they only filled 1 prescription. After arguing that I dropped off 2 they finally found the other prescription. I was then told it would be another 20 mins for them to fill it. They seem very inept. Time to audit this place. But my family has had enough.

I had a great experience using the scheduled pharmacy appointment for a minor illness. The pharmacist, Didhija, was very professional, kind, and ensured all of my questions were answered and any concerns were addressed. Would 100% recommend booking here!

Shoppers is mostly called by me for the pharmacy. They are hit and miss for answering the phone or not leaving you on hold for a long time. It’s frustrating to call to fill prescriptions and have staff put you on hold and not come back

I have had at least 4 instances this year where they tell me my prescription is ready for pickup only to find it is partially filled. I don't know who does the ordering for this pharmacy but they are woefully inadequate. There is always a massive line for pickup and even though there may be 5 staff behind the counter only one will grudgingly make eye contact with you to assist. Today I urgently needed a refill. I called in no less than 3 times only to immediately be put on hold with no one ever coming back to answer the phone. They don't even ask if you are okay holding they just say "hold" and slam the phone down. After an hour of this nonsense I gave up. Terrible customer service.

Even if you call multiple hours in advance, they still won’t have your prescription ready when you get there. Be prepared to wait another 15 minutes to a half an hour at LEAST. People seem nice, but something has to change with the process.

I was told to come back for the rest of my prescription the next day after waiting a cumulative timeframe of an hour. When I came to pick up my prescription the next day, they told me my prescription was not ready. I’m beyond irked.

4 times now I have been told my prescription wasn't faxed by my doctors office. I recall my Dr's office and they resend the fax. Tried calling back and been on hold over 30 mins. I tested positive for covid. Was prescribed covid medication but I guess they would rather have someone DIE! Been going here since I was 12 and moved here. 39 years that's a loyal customer.

Doesn't even deserve one star, the pharmacy here is terrible, no matter how many times we have tried we always get screwed over here. We call to see if our order is ready, either on hold forever or forgotten about. Im told its ready we get here and it's not.
20 mins later.bad customer services and everyone we have spoke too in our neighborhood says they get the same treatment.
Don't use the pharmacy here! In fact, don't use this store if you can help it.

Worst pharmacy. Save yourself time and frustration. Go somewhere else. The staff clearly do not communicate to each other. Fake promises made that they will follow up with your GP, send prescription renewals, fill meds and nothing is ever actually done.

My recent experience with this Pharmacy was great. Manan, the Pharmacist, was professional, polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. I had some issues with my Insurance Company when picking up my prescription and Manan took it upon himself to help me out and phoned the Insurance Company on my behalf to see how to resolve the issue. His Pharmacy skills, as well as his Customer Service skills, were all very evident during this experience.

The pharmacy is terrible. Consistent issues with Prescriptions not being ready on time, long waits, being given the wrong Prescriptions. Don't waste your time, use another pharmacy.

Absolute garbage pharmacy! No one is ever working or no one with a sense of urgency to assist customers in a timely fashion. All just sitting around and looking at the ceiling tiles. This location either needs to find better staff or simply just close.

Pharmacy is absolutely terrible. It always takes them 5+ hours to even “receive” my prescription EVERY single time. The last 4 times I’ve needed a prescription, I’ve had to call my doctor to refax it again because they apparently never get them. After this is dealt with, I’m dealing with Superstore because they’re service is 10x better.

The store is fine but the pharmacy has come under new management And they've sent me the wrong meds or not enough meds on multiple occasions Even to the point where someone came to my house having my name in their system and the medication was not Put in that vehicle for me that's extremely detrimental because I have bipolar And without my proper medication and my proper dosage I can go into extreme bouts of Manic and Manic depressive Episodes They're new so hopefully it'll change but I'm thinking about switching pharmacies right now At least for the time being

This is a review of not the store but just the pharmacy.

Their staff bungled a precription transfer request for an urgently needed refill.

This is from a shoppers to shoppers transfer. The simplest request, right?

Staff even assured me they did not need any details of the physician, just let us know the previous store.

I came on an Monday and I asked if Wednesday would be enough time.

I was assured that everything would be done. The information transfer and the refill request.

My in person observation is that the prescription pickup staff are overextended.

I will not be using this pharmacy or any shoppers pharmacy anymore because they cannot be trusted to perform their services on time.

This pharmacy is like a 3 ring circus since it has chanced hands. I went to pick up a prescription as was told they had not heard back from my doctor. Two days later I went back and got there same story. When I phoned the doctor's office the next day. I was told my doctor was away till the end of the month and his receptionist had faxed the prescription back not once but 3 times. She also called them asking them why they couldn't fill it. Was told they would give me a one month supply of 30 pills. However I take 2 pills a day so how is this even a 1 month supply? After being back for the 3rd time to pick up this prescription was told it was a 15 dollar charge on top of the regular fee for them to fill it? Was so much better with previous owner now it's like a 3 ring circus with everyone running around with their heads cut off!

These new guys at pharmacy I'm not getting my prescriptions then they are trying to charge me and I'm on disability, they take along time to figure out what's going on, I Really miss the old team. These guys even gave my friend THE Wong medication and he is a cancer patient, I hope it doesn't happen to an elderly person they might not realize and take the wrong stuff, very dangerous.

First of all you need to fire the red-headed lady with glasses behind the pharmacy counter she is in the wrong business she is ignorant on the phone she is even more ignorant in person I called in my prescription refill and she told me to come in in an hour I came in 3 hours later so I figure it would be enough time for them to get my prescription ready and I had The misfortune of having the red-headed lady with the attitude problem with glasses serve me and she said it was not ready and then she went on break and didn't tell anybody yes I sat there for 45 minutes to an hour and nobody helped me I am changing pharmacy because I'm getting tired of them being ignorant on the phone and in person shoppers drug Mart is going to lose a lot of customers because of this lady and a lot of business as a businessman myself I would terminate the employment of that lady with glasses and maybe the good customers would come back let's just say I am not going to be a repeat customer and I hope that shoppers drug Mart shuts down

Rarely answer the phone, busy signal often. If they do answer the phone, you are left on hold for upwards of 15-20 minutes and sometimes they don't return. Several times I was told on the phone they'd fill my prescription pick-up for that evening, and when I arrive, they either never did it or they neglected to tell me their stock is depleted. This occurred multiple times. It always looks like chaos with huge lineups, and obviously they are unable to keep up with the volume of customers. There is no time for any real pharmacological instruction either. I have moved to Guardian where they answer the phone, provide great health teaching, follow through with requests, and the atmosphere is less chaotic.

Jacqueline who works here is one of the most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with especially in pharmacies, where things seem to get jumbled, forgotten and disorganized often. She goes out of her way to assist and and make my life easier. Thank you so much.

This shoppers left a terrible taste in my mouth! I was doing errands and I heard a beauty adviser worker trying to help a customer with hair products. The worker said she didn’t know anything about hair so I spoke up and said I’m a hairstylist do you need help. This worker was very rude to myself and the other customers. Telling me that I couldn’t help and that hairstylist were a waste of money and time. She directed the other customer in the opposite direction she wanted to and would of left her hair fried. I can’t believe some one could be so rude and have no customer service. Definitely won’t be returning but I feel bad what she may direct future customers too.

The pharmacy is terrible they don't have scripts done when dropped off well in advance like 4 days. Very unorganized really need to hire more evening staff. It's not a well oiled machine. They don't answer there phone either. Crazy. Come on shoppers get it together.

As a pharmacy I find this branch is too busy! There's always a lineup to pick up prescriptions and it's impossible to get through on the phone. When you do get through you get put on hold and they forget about you! Not enough staff! Come on you make millions hire enough staff!
Also there is NEVER a cashier at the front, forcing you to self check out!

EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in to get my prescriptions they aren't ready. Plus what's with these "canned" responses.don't even bother. Shame on this company for treating customers this way.
I'm switching pharmacies!

I used to fill mine and my husband's prescriptions here, but after being shorted time and time again I switched to Lakeview Pharmacy. They get it right. I've never had a problem.

This pharmacy has zero mask policy enforcement, the last two times we've been in and the last, there have been more then three couples casually walking around with no mask at all. I own a retail business so I know the pain of enforcing them but I also know it can be done, we do it every day. Scary for a pharmacy.

And good luck with the pharmacy ever answering phone calls or getting a prescription done in time. Very disappointing for a Shoppers

I have used this pharmacy for years. If you need a quick script filled like antibiotics they're okay but if you need a reliable pharmacy to fill your long term medication this is not the place for you. I am honestly so livid and annoyed at the lack of professionalism at this pharmacy. I get a medication for my endometriosis every month and every single month they never have it ready and can never get the medication. Their employees are so disorganized and unprofessional. My husband calls and gets told it will be ready and then goes to pick it up and low and behold they never even had any and couldn't even bother to call him and update him that they wouldn't be able to fill it, just waste our time over and over again and he always has to go back a day or two later.put iou's on my medication bottles etc.like this is just ridiculous at this point. A really terrible way to conduct easy routine guaranteed business. I'm ready to pull my script and go to another pharmacy. As a busy mother to not have people know whats going on or have my medication ready when I need it is really unacceptable. I get 30 pills and it renews every single month and in one entire year they have failed to have it ready without a fight. I'm even supposed to be signed up for the auto renew feature but I don't know why the offer it, it doesn't even work. If you need a pharmacy that is reliable this is not the place for you.

Absolutely fantastic customer service today from the manager. I had an issue at the self check out purchasing headphones. He came to help right away and was very friendly and helpful.

This store is always clean. The staff are busy, and friendly.

If you have bad acne go to a clinic. Treatment is covered by OHIP for free!:)

Very friendly and helpful employees who are especially good with helping you start up a good skin care regimen that's right for you. I had bad acne and nothing was working until I went here and started my regimen combined with a benzoyl peroxide clindamycin kit prescribed to me and covered by OHIP at the downtown clinic.

Shoppers here is a good place to shop and the pharmacists is readily available. They have makeup. Perfume. Hair dyes and meds and vitamins plus cards all sorts of things I recommend it.

I really hate Shoppers in general. Their prices are too damn high. They charge me $10 for a bottle of medication that "Big Blue" (not saying their name) charges me $3 for. EVERYTHING is overpriced. BUT. They're the closest drug store to my home and I get PC Points there so. I do go there once in a while. On a positive note, I find a lot of the employees to be exceptional, especially the tiny blonde lady who is always in cosmetics. I think she should be the next Prime Minister of Canada. For real.

I have all my prescriptions here, and mostly it's good experience, UNLESS the red haired older lady with long hair is working Jaqueline, shes miserable, snippy, and has absolutely no manners. Lady if you dont like people, find a different job. Do not ever treat me like I am less than, I will have you know, I dont have health insurance so I PAY FULL PRICE for my prescriptions. And even if they were covered you have no right to be that way with people.

Not too sure who Nayomie is talking about. The woman she named is always polite to all customers when I have gone there. I've been a customer there for over 15 yrs and never had an issue. All of this woman's 8 reviews are negative of everyplace she has gone to. There are also personal attacks on people at every place. Look in the mirror girl. You got your faults too. I like Shoppers Drug Mart at Oshawa Centre because they have interesting wheat-free cereal bars, and they let customers use their bathroom and there are lots of sales going on every week.
