Daya the assistant manager and Hesam the store manager, are the sole reason for this rating. I went to cash my lottery ticket here last night at first the cashier (didn’t get his name) said “no I won't cash this ticket”, when I asked why, he said “my manager says only do a certain amount”. I said another shoppers said I need to come here because you have more cash at hand, he just looked at me and said no "no I won't do it", when I asked for the manager he said “he's not here I’ll text him”, he never showed me the text but said "he said no, but you can talk to the assistant manager” while pointing to someone and went to get him. Daya the assistant manager while walking towards the cash register immediately said "no we won't do it" every time I tried to explain that on the tickets it says I need to get the money from a retailer, and you are a retailer he kept cutting me off to the point where I had to tell him to stop talking over me and let me finish, he still kept saying "no". I tried to show him what it says on the retailer print out he said "no I won't read or look at that" while shaking his head. I asked so are you refusing to give me the money? He "yes I am refusing to give you the money" I asked to speak with the manager, he called the manager they started laughing at me on the phone in front of me and he hung up saying "My manager won't speak with you and just said to tell her no". Now before I got here I had gone to one gas station and one other shoppers and they both tried to help, checked their cash register even counted their money in front of me, but didn't have enough to pay out and told me to try the other retailer and they were super polite and helpful, but the people at this location seemed to really not give cents about customer service, human decency or even show a little bit of aptitude in having brain cells. Their attitude was hostile, disgusting, childish and unprofessional. If this was a corporate policy I could I understand but it is not as the other location went out of their way to try and pay the ticket but really couldn’t. This was a personal preference of a manager that should not be a manager and his employees following him like a heard of sheep void of any personal opinion or thought. Shoppers Drugmart Corporation you have failed your customers if these are the type of staff you are hiring and training (or lack thereof). I truly hope both of these seemly senior staff get what they deserve at the very least get the first week training they clearly missed.

This review is for Bahareh in the Cosmetics area. With so many people not showing pride in their work or courtesy to customers, I felt this post was important to write. My son and I were looking for a cologne for him and Bahareh was exceptional. She was patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. Thank you for making our experience worth writing about!

Whenever I went to the pharmacy to get a vaccine or any other work, the young boy who works there did not do it for me with an excuse, but my work was done elsewhere. Other friends of mine also have this experience, for example, today, after waiting for twenty minutes to get the vaccine. They told me about the flu, you are 35 years old and it is not done for people under 65 years old, so they didn't realize that I am not 65 years old?

Very happy with the post-office at this location, especially with the post office manager, Sonia, as she is very knowledgeable and friendly. She goes out of her way to answer my questions thoroughly and help me to choose the right options for me. I appreciate the service and will come back to this post office again!

I finally ordered JUNIOR MINTS with Door Dash. The delivery person went to the Shoppers on Bayview and brought me 6 boxes. I got very tired of always going to this Shoppers to see that there isn't any JUNIOR MINTS on the shelf, over and over and over and over again. Please stock up on JUNIOR MINTS and put them on the shelves for customers to buy. The store will make more money. What other products are not being stocked on the shelves, at this store?

I was confused at check-out and the cashier yelled at me and blamed me for the long line she had. I asked her to stop yelling at me, said I just needed her help, and she said I “make her dizzy” and I “don’t understand anything”… no de-escalation whatsoever even though I said multiple times that she doesn’t need to yell. Wouldn’t give me her name… Thanks to the nice lady behind me who was comforting me and trying to back me up. I ended up speaking to a manager about it and they were so dismissive of it. Highly recommend self check-out!

The worst service ever! I was waiting in line to pay for 5-7min by the time it was my turn the sales person Aaron was very rude asking me: are you paying cash or credit card? I replied credit card, he replied to me so go and pay at self checkout my manager doesn’t like when the people pay by credit card at the pos. After waiting for 5-7min I was not happy to hear that at all that he wouldn’t cash me out. I replied to him in retail the customer is number one priority and the customer can choose how to pay! At the end he cashed me out, without even saying one word, not even the amount of my purchase! The only thing that he said, well now because of you my manager will scream at me. I would never go to that store again, the worst experience ever at the Hillcrest mall!

A lot of review had feelback already about "the person who hate her jobs". I guess sometime things changed and sometime they never do.

My husband and I went there to take a photo for our PR card and I can only tell you that the lady hates her job. I asked her: “How do I look? ” She replied “Seems ok ” with an attitude, although I noticed a dark shade on my forehead because of some Topic malfunction which could be easily removed if I was told. She simply doesn’t pay attention to details maybe because she doesn’t like her job.

The service here is basically trash. I have nose allergy so I bought those things that clean your nose. Well apparently there is no bottle as they said on the cover, and the cover said it was included. And the package was actually opened and seal with a different tape. And I promise, I did not take anything out.

I was buying some stuff from the shoppers drug mart and I heard the pharmacist (middle aged white guy) being super rude to people as they were coming in to get their medication. As a health care worker, people like this need to either learn better customer service skills or quit their job if they hate it that much.

Dropped off a prescription and was told it would take about an hour and I would receive a text when ready. Waited around for over an hour (!) and went back to check on my prescription. It was only then that the lady behind counter went to go check the shelf for the medication and inform me they didn't even have it in stock. What a waste of time! Do not bother coming here - many more and better pharmacy options in the area.

I was in this store Saturday, March 19, at 12 pm. The young guy at the cash was horrible! He ignored customers while he talked to a co-worker. Then, he stopped and said "yeah" to the customer ahead of me. He cashed her out with no conversation, but tons of attitude. When my turn came, I said "hello" to him. He ignored me. I asked if I could have a bag for my purchases. He grunted! Disgusting. He could not have made it more evident that he hates his job and does not want to be there. I will never return.

I was at this Shoppers Drug Mart Location Hillcrest Mall a few days ago, and I encountered a very rude lady her name is Maryam apparently she is the cash manager of the store. She used a very annoying attitude responding to me when I asked her a question, her behavior was despicable. I don't know why the manager would hire someone to work there with that kind of attitude. I would not be going back to that location ever again!

Poor costumer service. Charged me brand medication without even asking me which one I prefer. Almost 100$ difference! I’m not cheap, but treating people with no information after keeping them waiting for an hour is absolutely abusive!

For the first time after being a longe time shopper at shoppers, today I came across a very rude employee in this location! She used a very annoying attitude responding to me. (to be more specific she was a lady with pink/ purple hair color). It’s the manager’s fault letting some one with this behavior works there!

I visited this place to send a letter at the post department. There was a little line there and security oversaw all of us to keep the distance. Inspire of that I understand that it’s Pandemic, that was creepy a bit.

I hate shopping during COVID-19. I feel like someone is watching me all the time.

Very very bad experience. Totally unorganized for flu shot. No signs where you have to wait for the shot. Discovered 2 line ups. Moving like dead people, actually for 5 people in front of us already waited 45 min and no even close

I shop here when in the area. The store is very well set up and the store is bright. I noticed that they have good prices on toothpaste. There is also a Post office at this location. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

The shelves are generally always full, the promotional prices are always activated and price tags valid. The cashiers are very patient and always so friendly even when there are longer lineups. The team in the post office are hit or miss when it comes to customer service however the manager back there is really good.

I've never been met with such useless customer service. I went in today and asked for a raincheck for an item I thought was out of stock, as I couldn't find it. The lady at the cash first said she can't give rainchecks followed by she needs a barcode. Ok? I asked if any barcode from the display would work and she couldn't give me an answer. I ended up walking away from the situation and coming back about 15mins later and asked another cashier for a raincheck. Luckily, a guy (I think a manager) was ready and willing to give it to me. He went to get the barcode and found what I was looking for. While he made up for the whole situation, I'm completely baffled as to how someone like that lady was even hired to begin with.

The pharmacist was so polite and respectful he's name was T Hong. I'm always going to the other shoppers but it will take about 25 minutes to get my pricriptions but after 5 min he gave that to me, with a nice smile. And helped me a lot to figure out about it. Thanks him ️

There’s Asian lady that works in the post of section I was waiting in line I witnessed customer pay for there shipping she put part of the money in her pocket rest on the cash now I’m not a very smart person but that’s clearly theft! I will contact Canada post the owner for that location should be aware.

If you ever go to the Canada Post postal office here, I hope you never get Mary. She is always extremely rude not just to me but also people that she's serving ahead of me. I have no idea how she's in a service role.

Amazing pharmacy service. I come here from a distance for the service. I don't do a lot of my regular pharmacy shopping here but I try to when ever I can. But for my prescriptions, there is no where else I'd rather go. I love that they know me by name.

Approached today to mail something at the post office at the back at about 5 past closing and the woman working was serving a young couple. I was sending a Christmas card to a friend and wanted it to reach them by Christmas so was disappointed it was closed. I approached as she took something back and asked if they were open (Sunday).

She said, 'Cant you see the sign? ' pulling it up and placing it on the desk with a frown.

I said no as it was previously down on the desk. She went on the finish serving the young couple taking their mail with a smile.

Not a great interaction.probably won't be back.

Great location, employees are friendly! The post office here are A+ plus, all the postal clerk at this location were superb. However the pharmacist are not that very good here.

Owner was nice but the pharmacy assistant was very rude. This is my story: my dad filled prescription at this pharmacy and this particular medication has to be stored in original container with desiccant as per product monograph. We picked up the medication but they were placed in the vial without desiccant. I called GSK drug information and they said that when this is done, THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE efficacy. This Shoppers then rescued the original bottles from the garbage and was asking me if I would be ok bringing back the vial and they would re-dispense them in the original bottles with the desiccant from the garbage, which I have not agreed on because that does not sound sanitary. Owner was nice and ordered me brand new supply and have asked me to return the old medications, which I am fine with. However, he said that he has to break open the intact seals because of all the recalls FROM OTHER COMPANIES recently, I am guessing he wants "to ensure the manufacturers are putting the right drugs in there" as a best practice. Although this is really odd because that is the manufacturer's responsibility and from 1-year of filling medications here they have never had to do that, I still agreed to it. But later when I think about it, I will have no way to ensure with my next batch of refills that they are not RECYCLING my returned medications (as this was what they have suggested initially) once the seal of the bottles is broken. I called back the next morning wanting to discuss about this and the assistant said: "DO YOU NOT TRUST OUR PHARMACISTS? " In fact, I am a pharmacist myself and that is a big accuse. You have not followed product monograph in dispensing, and I still choose to accept your remedy for it. You are very particular in breaking open the seals of my intact bottles because YOU DON'T SEEM TO TRUST THE MANUFACTURER. Now I am trying to work out a way for both you and me, but instead of answering my question of "how do I make sure these are brand new stocks and not re-dispensary if you broke open the seals already? ", she only responded as "SO DO YOU NOT TRUST OUR PHARMACISTS? " This is very upsetting, disappointing, and rude. From years of pharmacy school I have attended we were not taught to talk to patients like that. I am worried for other patients that come to this pharmacy when they make mistakes then they have attitudes like that. On top of this, this entire pharmacy still does not seem to be convinced that this is a mistake they made, kept telling me this was just my preference (meanwhile I have checked with 1.the drug company, 2, our specialist at Sunnybrook, 3.other pharmacists that specialize in these types of medications, plus 4.my own clinical knowledge all indicated to me that this medication has to be in original container to guarantee efficacy). The entire pharmacy team lacks clinical knowledge. And again, the owner was nice but you really need to be careful of who you hire as a staff pharmacy assistant - who is very rude.

I wanted to buy a brow pencil and the employee helped me shade match. She gave me a brow pencil that was far too red for my eyebrows. And she sold it to me. I looked ridiculous and got made fun of at work by my co workers. Shoppers needs to hire makeup experts that actually know what they are doing. Very upset and I wasted 13 dollars so thanks a lot employee who "helped" me. Hire people with more makeup knowledge. Make sure to be careful if you try to get shade matched at shoppers drug mart or you might end up with clown eye brows and wasted 10+ dollars. Very disappointed. Worst service ever. I will never be going back

Richmond Hill is a town of classless individuals and the customers that frequent this spot are from the armpit of this dirty town.
Impatient, rude, ratty broke customers, in a hurry to check their losing lottery tickets.
