ABSOLUTELY AWFUL STORE! You wait for minimum 20 minutes for a prescription. I called for a refill, ordered 2 of the same prescription, go to pick it up, only to find the pharmacist cancelled 1 refill! NO IDEA WHY, nor was I given a heads up! TERRIBLE STORE, awful service

This is the worst shopper's drug Mart I've ever been to. My wife had to wait 6 hours for her medication, only reason it took 6 hours is because I had to go in upset for her to get them. But everyone in store, seems to be having the same problem. I decided to write a review because yesterday I dropped a prescription off they told me 30 min. I went back 3 hours later to find out they haven't done anything. So they said 5 min it would be ready. And it was made for me in 4 minutes. This lack of caring for the customer needs is ridiculous. I was bleeding from my tonsils. Don't go here for pharmacy issues.find a better location.

You would think when a person is palliative, a pharmacy would offer better service whereas this SDM has the worst service with long wait times and prescriptions missing. I have moved my mom's prescriptions all to the Pharmasave at 135 Martin Grove Rd and the service is excellent.

I wish I could give zero stars. My husband picked up my prescription for me, a prescription that I never had before. Omar, a “pharmacist” had the worst attitude from the beginning, after asking for my date of birth kept repeating that he was confused and failed to give instructions or dosage which are not printed on the label. Shame! Customer service says it all. People like Omar should not be taking care of customers. Learn respect and professionalism. How difficult was to look at the prescription and tell me the dosage? !? !? !

Cashiers here in this location are ride and have very bad altitude towards customer. Dont even apologized even after making mistakes. I think most needed to be trained again customer service. Terrible

On May 16,2023 I went to The East Mall Shopper Drug Mart pharmacy to check the availability of drop eye prescription which I should have start taking immediately. The associate took the prescription and checkup the stock. Unfortunately, they do not have my prescription and ask me to go to other pharmacy to check my luck. Initially, I did not realize the difficulty to find my prescription. I am a senior with no car and I depend on public transportation. I checked a few pharmacies and finally after one week I got the prescription. I was very upset because I got very poor customer service. The associate was lazy and did not do his job. Instead of ordering my prescription from another pharmacy or at least check the stock on computer and told me exactly the location to pick up the prescription he let me to find myself. Very disappointed.

I too wish there was a zero star rating possible.look at the number of complaints about this location.horrible experience.
I was forced to go through self check out because I was not paying cash.followed up with a phone call to the store after my visit, and store claims they are following SDM corporate requirements however that is a lie.my sister works for SDM and confirms this a not a corporate, but a store associate decision.this is disgraceful. I'll never go back.
Nor will I call 1-800-SHOPPERS as mentioned this is store policy not corporate policy to this review stands and the canned response from Customer Care is meaningless. Stop trying to replace people with machines!

Worst store in the chain. I was forced to go to self check out because the one cashier on hand said she could only help me if I was paying cash.asked for the manager.nothing.the cashier took my order and processed it through the self check out.what is this store coming too? This is aggressive behavior. I called the store and some nameless person in charge of cash tried to tell me they are following head office instructions. THIS IS WRONG and also a lie, as my sister works for SDM and she said there was no corporate instruction to do this.it's done at the store level. To the store associate you are a disgrace to humanity for doing this. They try to push you off to the 1800SHOPPERS number rather than take responsibility for their own pathetic store.

Worst shoppers drug mart ever, las time i visited for passport photo, they made me wait for manager to show up, i kept waiting and waiting no body showed up, i asked cashier to page him or her again so she did page, again i waited no one showed up. So i left the store.
My suggestion is, if you cant do photo service, why it is there? Just stop doing it.

I've been using this store for over 40 years. For 4 years I've had to pick up a regular prescription. Last month they told me that they couldn't get a hold of my doctor and that the pharmacist had been filling my order for 4 months. 4 months of no communication to me even though I have been into pickup my medication every other week. So I moved to a new pharmacy which was a nightmare because no one picks up the phone. It's amazing how moving to a pharmacist that cares makes you realize how terrible this pharmacy is. So the store has lost a customer as my shopping experience always included picking up a few other this. Big mistake.

This pharmacy is listed as one of the facilities that Government of Canada and their agencies have designated for providing mandatory arrival C19 rapid test for those randomly selected.
They are open until 10 pm, we have arrived at 6: 23 pm. No one was there, no line up for anything. Notwithstanding, pharmacy staff refused to do the test (1 min procedure) for my 8 year old claiming they are super busy and that testing they can do only before 6 pm. Very rude, unprofessional. Steer clear from this place.

Do not schedule an appointment for a COVID vaccine at this pharmacy. Very poor service. I made an appt because I have an infant and needed a reasonably swift process. Arrived on time for the appt and filled out a form. 40 min.later I complained and got told that I would need to wait another 15 min as the “Pharmacist” was very busy. There were 6 people working in the pharmacy what do they do?
Extremely poor service and lack of planning. Very bad experience

Horrible customer service provided at this location! As an employee for 10 years at another location, there has never been staff that have been more disrespectful than here. 5 cashiers behind the cash and none help you to force you to pay at self-checkout. Even when you can’t make the purchase at self-checkout without help, they force you to wait for one of their employees to eventually help you after talking and swearing and joking with eachother behind the cash.
The absolute worst experience.

The employees here are the absolute WORST. The customer service here is unbelievable. Nobody is willing to help the customers, all they do is congregate together and stand and talk and ignore people. Even the managers are very unhelpful. For a pharmacy they don’t care about there sick customers as well.

You all need to take a customer service training class because if this continuous trend of lack of respect and laziness prolongs, this store will be doomed.

Poor customer service. They have pads on sale advertised $16.99. The whole shelf was full with that price. I grabbed one when I got to the front it didn't scan the sale price. The African bleached face woman was very rude to me and said the stuck person can make mistakes but it should be my job to read the bar code if it match the product.

Zero stars… I will never trust this pharmacy with my prescriptions again. My doctor sent over my prescription in the morning and when I followed up with the pharmacy several hours later they claimed repeatedly not to have it. I checked back with the doctors office who assured me it was sent and they even offered to call the pharmacy before the doctor’s office closed. I followed up again with the pharmacist only to be told (rudely, dismissively) that they didn’t have the prescription and no one called. This left me scrambling to find another open clinic (on a Saturday) to issue a new prescription without any luck. How did I finally find out that this Shoppers actually had my prescription? THEY BILLED MY INSURANCE… that’s right, after telling me repeatedly they didn’t have it, no one actually called to let me know they had found it and filled it… if I had visited a second doctor to get the prescription reissued that waste of OHIP resources would be entirely this pharmacy’s fault. As it is they wasted my time and lost my trust. Please try and have some empathy for the people filling prescriptions with you.

Very unprofessional, uncooperative staff. Wouldn't recommend them at all. Tried to sign up with them but they couldn't locate the prescription in two weeks and didn't want to contact physician. Staff got serious attitude issue. Already got my prescription moved then from them to another location.

The pharmacy has gone downhill to the point of actually being dangerous. I don't trust my drugs to be correct or on time.

I understand that they're short staffed, but this isn't inconvenience of unstocked shelves at Walmart. These are medications that can do harm. Pharmacy staff just don't care.

When I went to pick up a prescription that was ready to renew, they asked if I could wait until tomorrow instead because they hadn't filled it. As pharmacists, you would think they would understand that skipping doses of blood thinners being used to treat a clot could potentially be fatal.

My diabetic father went to pick up multiple drugs that have been on standard refill for years. He showed them a list. He asked if they were all in the bag. They said yes. He asked repeatedly if they were sure. They said yes. Go home and find, 2 vital medications were missing. When he went back, he was told apparently they have a new offsite filling program and they need six days notice to fill some drugs. Six days? !

We're looking elsewhere for a pharmacy because it genuinely scares me that they could kill someone due to their negligence.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Literally the rudest pharmacist I’ve ever had to deal with. I came in to do a Covid test, as they say they do on all their signs and all I got was attitude saying “go to another location, we don’t do that here” when I am standing right in front of the testing centre. Every time I come to this pharmacy, there is 0 respect and kindness from anyone. I will never come back here, I am disgusted in the behaviour we received.

Pharmacy staff needs real training.

Literally, 7 people behind the counter and only one taking care of the customers, the others are cracking jokes and pretending to have work.

Lies, they always hit me with "we've just received your prescription from your doctor, it needs 30 more minutes"

Attitude, self explanatory!

Finally, never picked up my calls.

Changed my pharmacy to a local nearby small pharmacy that cares about their business.

I called the Shoppers Pharmacy for my son’s medicine as I was told that it needs to be ordered in advance. But the pharmacist who picked up was very rude who just hung up the phone before I could finish. Called again to talk and again she hangs up before I finish. This has to be the absolute worst pharmacist I have seen. If they are understaffed, that is not the customer's problem. Will ask my doctor not to send it to this pharmacy in future.

Worst shoppers drug mart I’ve ever been. Only come here because it’s close to my house. Take more than 1 hr. To get only buffer for my son when only told by the pharmacist assistant it took only 1/2 hr. The worst pharmacist I’ve met name Erene Kaldas, happened to be the manager there. So no one else to complain to. She does not respect anyone. Not even answer my question when I brought my concerns to her. Hope the owners can read this and train their staffs or get a new pharmacy manager. I won’t be back here for sure.

If you go in to get your prescription here, there is always a really long line up and wait. And don't try calling ahead. They never answer the phone at the pharmacy. You just end up getting through to customer service desk and they put you on hold again. I guess it is time to go to to another pharmacy and get my prescription transferred because it would seriously be less hassle than the seemingly endless waiting I have done over the years at this place.

I got my Covid 19 booster shot. It took a lot longer than I expected to get my shot. They didn't know that I was okay to get a booster shot because I had an Essential caregiver letter from the LTC facility my mom is at. They had to look it up online. Then the person doing the shot was extremely slow. I still don't know if I received a full dose or a half dose of Moderna vaccine. It didn't show on the paper I received from the pharmacy.

I made my appointment online for the booster shot for 11: 00 today Jan 07 2022, I was just told they only have 1 pharmacists and that they took someone else in before me who just arrived and I must wait 40 more min to get my shot, I was not told this up until I waited 15 min already!

Why did I book an appointment if they can't respect the time of the booking?

I find this rude and extremely unprofessional on the staff's part.

If you the 'Owner' think that by replying to people who are frustrated customers and telling them how 'sorry' you are for the horrible service your employees provide don't bother!

You have done nothing to remedy the situation and fix the problem so far so how could a meaningless apology help?

The ONLY reason we all came is the closeness to our home. Trust me I will never come here again!

We called the pharmacy department to ask if they are accepting walk-in for booster shot. The man on the phone hung up without even saying a word. We thought maybe the phone cut off and gave the man the benefit of the doubt. We called again and the exact same thing happened. It literally takes 2 seconds to say “sorry no”. How this place is still opened with its horrendous customer service is a mystery.

I arrived on Wed. Feb. 9 to pick up an item at their post office. Sign on the door said 'Due to circumstances out of our control, the post office will be closed until 4pm. ' When I asked if this was the norm, the SDM employee said 'no just for today'. I then returned the next day to see the same sign so I left again and returned at 4pm. When I got to the post office at 4pm, found a different sign posted 'the post office is closed until 430pm'. Complete disregard for custers' time.

It's very bad experience with the pharmacy, my Dr sent a prescription to the pharmacy and I was keep calling them no answer, and after they answered they put me on hold for an hour then they hung up on me, that was on Wednesday at 7pm and I need the medication for my daughter, second day I went to them and I asked why you guys don't pick up the phone and answer, I came to the pharmacy after many times I called and my daughter very sick, they said we are very busy so if you are busy don't take prescription from Dr it's easy say we are busy am very very disappointed with them, there is no good management for them, they don't do there job the proper way, they have to work as team, in the work it's everyone job no only blaming each others, I heard them they said this is the nigh shift yesterday they don't do there job, and after fighting with them they gave me there manager phone number to call.

Pharmacy l have no issues. However what dreadful customer service with one of the managers and on the phone. Thought l'd give it another try after a year of may last experience, this time on the phone they just immediatey put me on hold and left to wait almost 20min. Nobody came back to check if l was on hold or if anyone had already asked about my inquiry. I hung up and called once more was immediately put on hold again. Only because it is the closest to my house l get my prescriptions there. Other than that, l have been driving out to Six Points as my experience there has always been pleasant.

I called this place on Dec 8 2021 @ 6: 42pm and a girl in the pharmacy department answered. She gave me SO MUCH ATTITUDE because I asked NICELY about the photo centre. She put me on hold for 10 mins then another man answered AGAIN from the pharmacy department, when she said she was sending me to the customer service department. The man told me yes there is a photo centre, THATS ALL I WANTED TO KNOW. Thank you!
