Was at this location on June 28 Wed early afternoon intended to refill my Angel perfume so that I can take advantage of the Redeem Your Points Event. There were 2 young ladies at the cosmetic department. However after struggling and poking the Angel refilling tank for over 10 minutes, they then informed me the tank was empty. And they also told me there is another tank in the basement, however they need the supervisor to bring it up and it would happen the next day (Thur, June 29). I asked them how long the Redeem Your Points Event going to last since I wanted to use my point to purchase the refill of my Angel. The young ladies said this event would last till Fri, June 30. I also asked them if she could find out any other Shoppers also provide the refill of Angel. These young ladies they would not be able to tell me which other shoppers carry that as they did not have any access to such info. But she emphasized the Angel refill tank will be filled the next morning for sure. The following morning (Thurs) I called this Shoppers, regardless the young ladies told me repeatedly it's unnecessary to call them prior to coming in again. The cosmetic department informed me that the Angel refilling tank is still empty. I was DISAPPOINTED and glad that I called. I ended up getting my Angel refilled at Pickering Town Centre Shoppers. And unfortunately the Redeem Your Points event already ended the day prior (Wed, Jun 29), which the Port Union location staff provided me with the wrong info. The Pickering Town Ctr Shoppers cosmetic lady, Andrea, was super professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. From now, I will def shop there instead of the Port Union location.

I have recently have been trying to return an online perfume purchase with all the packaging and labels intact. This was my third store that I tried, I went in the evening two lovely ladies tried to help but did not know how to online returns. Was told to come back the next morning as another associate that knew how to do the return. So the next morning I called to confirm the associate was in store, had everything. Once again, they were having issues. But this time I was very very annoyed because the associate after not being able to process my return, quote “why don’t you mail it back, this is too much of a hassle for us”. I confirmed online on the site in store returns are free and doable, is it not a hassle for me to be running around 3 stores for a return? Was sent to the post, gave them my box and once met with the same customer service. I have mailed my item and now I’m having to pay $8 to mail back the item when I could’ve done it in store if the associates were trained for it. My ask is that going forward please do not treat customers as burdens if you do not know how to do something, seek out resources on how to do so and just be courteous. As for the Shoppers, please do not say in store returns are doable on the site when it’s clearly not. Please train your associates on what you promise to offer and deliver as a company.

Before reading this review please note that this is not meant to discredit the ladies that work in the cosmetics section of the store - they are always friendly and helpful.
I have shopped at this store for several years and it's never been the greatest in terms of customer service. As I said the ladies in the cosmetics area are usually very nice but that's where it ends. Today I was shopping at this location and am shocked at how rude a staff member was to me. I went to the back of the store to pick up a container of coffee. I picked up my coffee and turned and noticed an employee was standing looking at me and seemed incredibly irritated. It looked like he might have been stocking the coke display which was close by. When I noticed him I politely said "Sorry am I in your way? ". I would never intentionally stand in someone's way. His response to me was "YES YOU ARE" with an incredibly irritated, rude tone and then proceeded to roll his eyes and storm into the stock room. This was completely uncalled for and unwarranted when all I was doing was trying to pick up a can of coffee. I can't believe this "in your face" kind of rudeness exists in a retail environment and staff members feel entitled to treat people like this. It's so unprofessional! It costs nothing to be kind and helpful and give good customer service. If I treated someone like this in my profession I'd be fired because it would be unacceptable. I'll never shop at this location again. I'll be taking my business elsewhere - there are several locations in Pickering with outstanding service.

The worst shopper's location. Horrible customer service. I booked my shot at this location, and when I arrived today, the lady at the consultation desk talked to me in imperatives like I was a dog. To top it off, she got my address wrong, and when I showed the printout to the vaccine administrator, he said it's ok. Your name is correct, and that's enough. Since when is it ok to get a patient's address wrong in shoppers? ! Terrible experience. Avoid this location if you can!

If I could give less stars I would. They have “not received” our sons prescription 3 times in a row now. The doctor has warned us of this locations malpractice. Please stay away for your children's health. Good luck! Msg for more info as there is more!

This location is the worst shoppers drug mart I have ever been to. The “customer service” is actually nonexistent and act as though coming 30 minutes before closing is the worst thing a person can do. The attitude coming from employees that are closing the store earlier than the hours stated online is more than upsetting and should be handled accordingly.what a shame this is the only location near me.

Had a second vaccine at this pharmacy today. The attending pharmacist was kind and personable. The ladies in the cosmetics area were also friendly and helpful. Previously, last year, I had a prescription that needed to be filled somewhat urgently. Two other Shoppers pharmacies did not have the medication in stock. Luckily this pharmacy had it in stock and filled the script right away. Have been very happy with the services at this location.

I've had nothing but bad experiences here over 25 years. A family member recently experienced unprofessional conduct regarding a life-threatening situation. Do not get your prescriptions here.

Worst customer service available. Hope to change drug purchases to a different drug store. Every place is swamped with people. Be honest and tell the customers what they can really expect.

I have been using this store for three decades and keep returning. The staff are very helpful, especially those at the Post Office, who offer specific packaging tips and rate information every time I am there.
The staff who administer vaccinations are wonderful, as I have had two done there by two different people, both of whom were professional and very competent.
This is a smaller store, like the Metro close to it, so stock is plentiful but maybe not as varied as a much larger store. Cash out is prompt and three DIY cash outs are available as well (which always are in working order). Staff at the cash are friendly as are the merchandise people.

Just moved to the area and dropped off new prescriptions to be filled. I found all the staff (including pharmacy) to be super friendly and helpful. As far as I am concerned, this super low rating is unwarranted

Elena and her team are extremely helpful.
Waiting time is little long sometimes, however it’s a busy location. I mostly choose to come back for pick up. People think they are being ignored and not helped just because someone is standing in the back and doing “something” - guess what they are preparing our medication and making sure it’s labelled correctly.
I have been going here for 5 years and feel right coming here.

If only there was a 0 star. By far the worst shoppers drug mart I’ve ever been to. The staff are lazy and rude. I went to the cash to check out, the lady who was stocking the floor came over and said she couldn’t use the cash and directed me to the self check out. Then two seconds later she checked out another person at that said cash. I’ve never had a good experience at this store and every single time I’ve left in shock. Avoid going here if possible.

There need to be a minus rating option. This location deserve one. I show up at the location EIGHT (11: 52 pm) minutes before closing. Found the door LOCK. Four employees standing there looking at me as if i made the wrong stop. The hours of operation means nothing them

They make you wait for up to 30 minutes so you will spend money in the store. I have specifically told them I have nothing to buy there, and magically, the wait time is reduced to 15 minutes, and today got prescription filled in about 8 minutes (but had to make a big fuss).

Agree 100% with other reviews. Customer service at the pharmacy 0/5.

The Shoppers Drug Mart store manager is no better. He claims the standard is a 15 minute wait and if there were shorter wait times, it would be absolute chaos. 0/5.

Neither deserve your business.

They make you wait for over 30 min for a flu shot when it's not even that busy. Also, they seemed to be taking people that had arrived after me. I won't go here again.

Most disorganized pharmacy I've ever been to. Staff are VERY rude and seem not to care. Go somewheres else even if not convenient. And count your pills before you go. A problem every time I go there. Rude to Drs office too.

I wish there was a zero option for rating because the pharmacy at this location definitely deserves it. I handed my 7 years old daughter prescription in and was told to come back in 30 minutes to pick it up. When I came back to pick up the antibiotics that was for ear infection the pharmacist told me that he will not give us the medication because of an error that was made by the doctor in the prescription. Meanwhile my daughter is crying from pain and he still says no to us and did not care. We had to go to another pharmacy to get her medication and funny thing they did not say anything about an error. Since I was still worried I called our family doctor the next day and found out that there was no error in the prescription and the pharmacist was wrong. He had the nerve to tell us to go to hospital and get a new prescription at 8 pm after wasting 2 hours of waiting. I will never go to this location again and will not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.
