Hands down to the customer service of Veronika, i am really impressed the way she treated me as a customer.she suggested me the best moisturizer, I can ever get for my combination skin, she has a very good knowledge about all the products you could ask for. I highly recommend to all the ladies who lives around please visit this shoppers, must ask for Veronika. She is the best. Also they have a lot of beauty brands compare to other shoppers.

I’ve learned from an employee when I was asking why the price of an item was less expensive online vs in store. That the store was a franchised store and the owner increases all of the prices compared to the actual shoppers drug mart prices. When asked if they will price match I was told I should just shop online. We will be changing which shoppers we go to moving forward. After learning this I walked around the store and realized how much the prices are increased at this location. Such a crooked thing to do. Especially during these economic times.

Took my daughter in due to pink eye infection. Pharmacist Cinzia was extremely professional, warm, considerate and helped ease the worry and stress very evident in a scared 9 year old girl. She put on kid gloves and helped us out and even followed up five days later to make sure she was okay. What a great experience. Thank you Cinzia, you’re a credit to the store and the community.

I am so disappointed and tired of this pharmacy. I’m looking to transferring all my prescriptions from this shoppers to another location. Probably a private pharmacy.
Service is Horrible!
No one picks up the phone, prescriptions called in takes very long time to filled, people working there seem to coming and going, never the same face twice!
And now that I’m reading all the reviews, they are all bad. Head office is aware of this and do nothing. What happened to good service these days?

I am transferring all my prescriptions from this shoppers to pharma plus! The service is absolutely horrible! No one picks up the phone, prescriptions called in never get filled, pharmacist is clueless, people working there seem to coming and going, never the same face twice!

Absolutely WORST shoppers. Agist, Racist and absolutely disgusting service. Made me wait outside as I’m a “student” so assuming i’m going to steal but letting in anyone that looks older than 30? Disgusting, following around my friends because they are of colour only? I’m a buyer here daily and there are no “age restrictions”, you can even enter lcbo under the age of 19, why shoppers? I’m 18 (an adult) so why shall I be not allowed in the store? There is no sign that says I shall not enter if i’m under 19? I tried to walk through a man and he put his arm out to stop me. Get better employees, I will be taking this to head office.

Another experience I asked to speak to the main manager, took him 5 minutes, as I was speaking about the issue he said he cannot help me whilst texting on the phone. Not paying attention whatsoever making me feel like I wasn’t even there. Terrible experiences and I have even more.

I absolutely don't understand this shoppers, it's the worst shoppers I've ever gone too. Firstly since I'm a student they won't let me in because they think i'm going to steal. When I was there, the shoppers employee only was letting adults enter, and then locked the door right in front of me and other students entering shoppers. Whenever I go with my parents/guardians they always let me go in, what's the difference? There is this one specific shoppers employee that has white hair that has to be taught a lesson, one time he harassed two of my friends he found at this pizza place far away from shoppers. Whenever me or other students want to go into shoppers he says that when he's not working he's going to go and beat us up, like excuse me and yet he's not fired yet. I understand that your trying to prevent stealing but this is not how you deal with it. Some days, when I'm trying to buy my lunch I can't because it takes my whole lunch just to finally be able to enter shoppers. After multiple times of having these experiences, so I decided to look at other reviews from a couple months ago that have been having similar issues and shoppers always says I'm sorry for this unfortunate case please call.and yet I don't see anything changing. I recommend not going to this location.

Gosh, where do I begin! The cashiers and stock clerks are so damn rude! They are indignent and contemptuous towards customers. I understand there are customers out there that are f_g A_holes, but most of us are not. The owner should have a customer service workshop for the employees. Yes that goes towards the Canada Post people as well. Rude, rude and rude! FIRE THEM ALL! The only saving grace is the boutique, the ladies and man there are fantastic.

Pharmacy is super slow. Employees don’t know what they are doing. Everybody looks sleepy and completely lost. Seems like management is not doing well.
After I called 2 days before my refill was due they made me wait for 20 mins.

The pharmacy never picks up the phone. My doctor called in a prescription and she couldn’t speak to anyone and left a message. I called to check if it was ready and no one picked up the phone. Made a trip there to try and pick up and they say they don’t have it. I then tell them it’s a message and told to wait 30 min past 10 PM on a weeknight for it to be filled.

Pat H is a very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and helpful lady. She works at the Beauty boutique section every Thursday. Because of her, I only go to this location (1500 Avenueu road) she is truly an asset. Thank you Pat from the bottom of my heart

Very disappointed with service at the pharmacy, which is consistently overcrowded, but tonight was ridiculous. Waited 15 minutes to talk to someone and then was told that my prescription, which was called in over 24 hours ago, was not ready. I was asked to wait five minutes. Waited another 15 minutes so gave up, since clearly nobody was getting my prescription, Time to take my business elsewhere.

The Pharmacy in this location is the worst Shoppers Drug Mart I have encountered. They don’t answer the phone. They don’t follow up on getting refills. I observe significant disorganization whenever I am there.

I had an awful experience today at this location which ìs the one I always go to. Ì was accused of stealing and forced to open up my bag on top of that the employee refused to ĺet me go by pushing me back when i was trying to leave. I still don't know why I was humiiliated like this i was just choosing a drink and suddenly two employees where behind me not even respecting social distance this made feel really uncomfortable so I left the drink and decided to leave. At the door they were waiting for me and told me to open my backpack otherwise I couldn't leave the store. The accuser was a black lady from the cosmetics area whom admitted not to see me doing anything wrong but anyway she dared to accused and stopped me from leaving. At the end I left the store without an apology and feeling mistreated and discriminated.im a regular customer at that shoppers, ì always go there on my way to work and load my presto card over there too so it's a shame I won't be back because of this unethical situation.

Very disappointed in this pharmacy. Have consistently had issues with them. They never seem to have prescriptions ready when you go there, and you have to wait 20 minutes or go back. Calling to find out if prescriptions are ready is almost as bad; the lines are always busy and it takes forever to get through. I went to get a prescription yesterday and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes. I waited probably twice that and was told it would be another 2 minutes. I told them my elderly mother was waiting in the car. They said "just one more minute". After being told it would be yet another minute, I left. Even though her car door was open, my mom was just about ready to pass out (should I have run the a/c for 20 minutes? Maybe). When I got home and called to complain, the pharmacy assistant couldn't have cared less. The medication was ready, I could come back and get it. Not happening. I told them they could deliver it. My advice: go elsewhere. This isn't the only pharmacy in town.

Always very friendly and helpful! Been going here since it opened. Great neighbourhood Shoppers. They have a great selection of international newspapers, it’s open 24 hours and it’s a fairly big location.

We've been dealing with this Shoppers for a few years as my father is very ill and on many medications. This pharmacy is the hardest to deal with. I have to phone many times for a refill of a prescription and they take forever to answer tgeor phone. The medications are never ready and they have not kept their promise of delivering as soon as they are ready.
They are awful and it's so difficult to switch as my father takes 15 different prescriptions.
Sad that a big pharmacy with so many employees is so incompetent.

Impossible to get on the phone, either a 15 minute wait or it just hangs up on you. The people are usually nice if you go in but the corporation refuses to pay for enough staff to manage all the extra covid-related work.

Nice, clean, quality products. Prices are not the cheapest but it is opened 24hrs, so that compensates. There's fresh produce, meat, dairy etc, on top of the regular pharmacy items. They also have a beauty boutique with make up and perfumes. There's also a Canada Post inside!

I switched to Rexall because the Avenue Rd Shoppers Pharmacy was so bad. This was a few years ago. When Rexall closed its Avenue store I went back to Shoppers. That was about June of 2018. I’ve had an issue each and every time I had to pick up a prescription. I use their on-line system but for some reason they can never find my prescriptions when I go and pick them up. They are so busy and it looks like their dispensing system is over loaded. Mistakes are made and it’s just a mess. I’m going back to Rexall. I always had a wonderful experience there. Pharmacists know their stuff and actually help out.

By the way, 1 star is being much too generous for this pharmacy.

We shop at this location quite often as we love across the street and for the most part the staff is all pretty friendly.it's most late-night shopping since we both work and it's never an issue to get in and out quickly with what we need and get on our way, there is also always something good on sale.

I've just been in a lineup of more than 15 people- one cashier. There was another person asking if people would use the self check-out. If Shoppers thinks that by reducing the helpful cashier to one person for however many people, that we will all start helping Shoppers with their work- they are wrong. I asked for a manager- named Bruno- who didn't manage to get to me before I left the store. This has been two weeks now. Keep it up. Shoppers, and I'm not shopping anymore with you.

Not enough tellers. 6 people in line. The manager said that is what they had to offer. A customer told him that was not good enough and another teller showed up.
Wasting my time seems to be OK nowadays.

A great experience. We were looking for a rare heart medication for my father in-law but it was expired and the Pharmacists, Mark and Vijay, went above and beyond to contact the hospital to find an alternate. Thank you guys and keep up the great work!

Shoppers drug mart pharmacy's make you wait with a pager for your prescriptions longer than it takes to fill so that you will shop and spend money while you are misled to believe that they are honestly taking just the time needed to give you your prescribed medication. They are no longer focused on your health.

I called in a prescription to this 24 hr store, late at night, and requested, if possible, if I could pick up that night in a few hours. They said no, that it would be ready by 8 am.

I wasn't feeling well, and I came into the pharmacy just after 11: 30am the next day. Low and behold, I was told my prescription would be another 15 minutes - and I received my pager. I let them know that, it's my fault, but, I was filling my prescription a couple of days late and not feeling well because of it.

After a few minutes of walking around I sat and waited by the pharmacy. They could see I was unhappy and waiting. I could hear one lady say to what seemed to be the pharmacist: 'I am afraid she will collapse' he replied 'im not worried about it. ' I'll admit I cannot confirm this was about me, but I was the only one waiting at the pharmacy area.

When they called me to the counter, I told them I requested the fill last night on the phone, and was told I could get it by 8am- I asked why 3.5 hours later the fill was an additional 15 minutes. They said 'it was only the night crew. ' I asked if the night crew would not have noted on my fill or account that I was given an 8am pick up time. They just said 'yes, it/they should. Sorry. Feel better. '

This is not the first, or second, third, fourth, time I have felt and witnessed my prescriptions being unaccounted and not taken care of.

The pharmacy has become completely overloaded since the local Rexall closed. Wait times to fill prescriptions have increased dramatically and there are often long lineups to pickup. Service has declined significantly over the past year with the implementation of a problematic pharmacy system and high staff turnover. The new pharmacy staff are less friendly, their training is inconsistent and they cannot be relied upon to communicate with one another.

TERRIBLE PHARMACY. OFTEN MESS UP PRESCRIPTIONS! IRRESPONSIBLE HANDLING OF MEDICATIONS with no reguard for the patients health and well-being! Absolutely shameful.
Shoppers Drug Mart Avenue Rd/Lawrence is clearly focused on cosmetics, potato chips and juice.

Terrible customer service at the pharmacy today. Went to get a prescription fill for a same day appointment, not know it was - what they called it - a "special item". The older man, possibly a manager - Fabrizio D.threw the prescription back to me saying (and I quote!) " You had this for 7 months and want this now? ! ". To be clear - if an item is considered "special order" (which, btw, my doctor did not consider it as such, therefore did not warm me to get it done ahead of time), it's ok to just say "sorry, we don't have this in stock; it takes about a week to get it. Do you want us to go ahead and order it for you? " By no means I am expecting to be scolded like a troubled kid and be given an attitude. Or be thrown the paper over the counter.
The guy has some serious anger management issues and should be in no position to deal with customers. Oh, by the way.the store was completely empty and it was 8: 30 am, so it's not like he was busy or had a rough day. I obviously walked away and will never set foot in that place again.
