Pharmacy staff is useless would not reccomend anyone going here. Would not fill prescription needed.

I booked a Covid and Flu vaccine for the same time. I wanted a one & done appointment so I'm not laid up twice with a sore arm. Pharmacist gave me my high dose flu shot then informed me that they didn't have any Covid vaccines! I would not have gotten the flu shot had I known. To add to this when I checked in to my appointment I was told that they only had a different vaccine then what I perfered. That they had just received a new shipment. Based on this information I had no doubt I was getting both vaccines. Now I have to wait several days for my Covid shot.

When the pharmacy was owned by a different person, it was an amazing Pharmacy. Now under new management, this place is a total disaster. I spent 2500.00 a year on prescriptions, and moving my account to a more reliable pharmacy. PHARMASAVE!

This review is for the pharmacist, I came down for a prescription and the pharmacist was very rude and not helpful. I don’t have her name but it was a lady, she didn’t care to help me or the guy that was apparently on training. So rude.

Very disappointed at the customer service today and it was the manager on duty. She was clearly not happy to have to check me out and suggested I use the self checkout. Not to mention, there were signs for "cash accepted only" at both the check outs. Why is Shoppers Drug Mart discouraging customers to use the check out?

Based on other reviews, this Shopper's needs to teach their employees what respect means. My boyfriend and I stopped in at this location yesterday (Sat. June 3) during a long hot walk to grab some drinks and so I could use the washroom. I kindly asked the employee to open the washroom (the sign says to ask an employee). As I left the females washroom, an older female employee was fixing her hair in the mirror of the males washroom across from me with the door open as I walked out and she quickly looked at me from the mirror. Boyfriend and I continued to browse for a possible snack with our drinks and this same employee looked at us, and loudly complained to her coworker something along the lines of "absolutely ridiculous" and shaking her head. I kind of figured MAYBE it was about something else despite her staring at us the whole time but then immediately afterwards she literally stops us in our tracks and very rudely asks "what are you looking for". We kindly said "just some snacks" and we start to keep walking and she mumbles under her breath "this whole store is full of snacks but okay" and then goes and stops in front of us again and asks what type of snacks and we were so fed up at this point that this employee made us feel like we were being suspicious or something and generally profiling us as such with her behaviour, we just stopped looking, bought our drinks and left while she was following us like a dog. I was very offended, seeing as she doesn't personally know us, she based it off our physicality & neither my boyfriend or I look like the type of people that would do something like that, we were literally browsing the store right in front of them. This woman clearly thought I was someone that doesn't have money or looking to commit theft, meanwhile I'm a medical lab technician at a hospital making probably double her wage. This employee looks around 50 yrs old, short dark brown hair with small blond highlights. If she is always this way, I can guarantee she is scaring customers away. I am writing this lengthy review because the way she treated us was unacceptable and it lingered on my mind the entire day why this employee felt the need to be this way. Perhaps it's time for her to retire and stop acting like working at Shopper's gives her some kind of authority. TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES SOME RESPECT. Won't be coming back and will not recommend to anyone.

This is directed at the pharmacy not the shoppers its self

If I could give negative stars I would since new management took over the pharmacy I haven't had one single prescription turn out right or on time Infact most recently they have completely lost my prescription. Ridiculous

I've only lived in the area a mth and have yet to have a good experience after several visits. Seems to b severely understaffed. Phone rings at the pharmacy over and over. And in store 1 person behind the pharmacy with a huge line. Cash is no better. If u can't use the self checkout don't bother. Even when the self cash is calling for assistance no one came. Tonight I waited 10 mins for a cashier as I wanted cash back. I waited patiently well several other employees walked by unconcerned well the 1 cashier was covering all of the self checkouts, physical cashout and doing passport photos. I felt bad for her.

I would suggest a better option, especially for the pharmacy.

I have never had a problem with the pharmacy staff. I find them very helpful and polite. I am helped out with my needs every time.

Very dissatisfied. What has happened to this location? This has been our “go to” pharmacist and retail store for many many years. Not an item in their freezer, not a bag to purchase, staff that have no idea what is going on. Covid isn’t an excuse anymore, it’s poor management. New pharmacy franchisees and owner and it’s become so cold and unwelcoming. What actually happened?

6 self checkouts with zero people at them. One actual check out with a real person. 8 people in line. Kinda says something about your machines.

Great store, clean and well maintained. Staff is always polite and professional. Easy to get help with looking for items. Post office is also good at this location, helpful staff.

If I could give zero stars I would. Where do I begin? ! We heard of the newly remodeled store in the south end and decided out of ALL the locations to do our shopping here. What a mistake that was. While going around the store commenting on how clean it was, roomy, well laid out. We get to the cash only to be greeted by a cashier who spoke hardly any english and proceeded to ask us how we were paying. We responded with debit.why? She responded with well you need to use the self checkout as we only use the cashier services for cash. EXCUSE ME? ! We told her that we do not believe in self checkout and also needed lottery but would leave the overflowing cart if forced to use self checkout. She put the lottery through and then took our cart out of our hands and walked over to the self checkout til and scanned in our lottery and proceeded to scan in our overflowing cart of groceries? ! I immediately asked to speak with a supervisor and she said no later. (in broken english) I then said mam you need to call a back up supervisor as the line is very long. (again no recognition) She then had no idea how to use the check out system or redeem the points? ! As someone who was a former cashier within the corporation many many moons ago I am well versed on the protocols and standards that Shoppers Drug Mart upholds themselves too. This was NOT AT ALL followed or adhered too today. Furthermore the gentleman of lets say her background was put through with no problem and used DEBIT, not to mention the 4 price overrides she did without going back to check on the price and instead just took his word for it? ! So why was it she had no problem processing his purchases but ours and the couple behind us were to use self checkout? Last I checked we were ALL entitled to equal treatment? She then proceeded to go through the same issue with the couple behind us while I went and sought out a store manager since she did not bother to call one. I was just brushed off as a customer. So I did find the assistant manager and expressed my concerns, as I was doing so the couple behind me had requested the manager be called as well. I did not stick around to here their complaints. At the time of expressing my concerns the assistant store manager not once offered up an apology, an explanation or anything. I can assure you Shoppers Drug Mart was not properly represented today what so ever. I would love to name some names but neither individual had name tags on. Yet again lack of proper presentation. Rest assured I wont need to worry about having this experience, the local Rexall is more than happy to have our business. I am not finished with this and will be in touch with the head office regarding this unexplainable and unacceptable turn of events.

Usually a good place, l almost always receive good service and good advice from the pharmacist. However today l was saved by a lady with blonde hair at the check-in area who seemed hostile and rude.not sure if anyone else has experienced the same

They are very helpful and knowledgeable in person, but don’t bother calling the pharmacy. I tried it 3 times during normal working hours, got hung up all 3 times. I can hear the phone being answered, but then - nothing…

Pharmacy is awful, filled the wrong prescription refill. My benefits changed and the girl working at the counter took my phone for the benefit info when she could have read it off the screen, hello covid. Takes over a day to fill a prescription when others ones in the Barrie take 20 minutes. Would give a 0 if I could

I’m not sure what the issue was but it took me calling 3 different times and speaking to 3 different people to finally be able to transfer my prescription to this location.
