I recently visited Shoppers Drug Mart to drop off my resume for a potential job opportunity. However, my experience was disheartening, mainly due to the behavior of the assistant store manager, Mahek. Upon meeting her, I was shocked by the assumption-based questioning of my previous work experience. She treated me rudely and made unwarranted accusations about the authenticity of my credentials.

As someone who believes in giving every encounter a fair chance, I was taken aback by the unprofessionalism displayed during this simple job application process. First impressions matter, and Mahek's conduct did not reflect the values of a reputable establishment.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. After my visit, I came across multiple bad reviews online, mentioning unprofessional behavior and disrespectful treatment by the store's staff. It seems like this is an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed promptly.

I believe that every customer, including potential employees, should be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the circumstances. As a result of my experience and the poor reviews I've seen, I am hesitant about considering Shoppers Drug Mart as a place to work or shop.

I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and implements appropriate measures to improve their staff's conduct and overall customer experience. It is essential to foster a positive and respectful environment for both customers and potential employees alike.

In conclusion, I would advise potential job seekers and customers to exercise caution when dealing with this particular store until there is visible improvement in their service and employee behavior.

I had a very bad experience with the Post office lady. She is in her retiring age and does not teach the juniors and had to see the way she was treating the new staff. Very rude and the attitude is as if she is doing a rocket technology job. But the store manager Sherin is very humble and super nice, this post office lady is a monumental buffoon

Very Happy with this Shoppers Drug Mart so far. I stop in when I'm in the area. Usually by Chocalate Milk and Candy. Been good so far.

Minimal commuication skills pharmacy techs. Rare to speak to actual pharmacist. Helping customer is not first priority. During software issues they make no effort to serve clients except "pay full price, maybe government will reimburse you. "

The people here are always super friendly & helpful. In the beauty department they go above and beyond to help. Post office sometimes gets so busy - especially after lunch.

The worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I have had nothing but problems with them. They can never seem to fax prescriptions to get refilled and it has left me having to pay extra for the pharmacist to refill my prescriptions, it’s almost like they do it on purpose just so they can charge me more. Have had that happen numerous times. And the staff is so rude. Multiple times I’ve called and waited on hold for over ten minutes and then been talking to someone and just get cut off as I’m trying to speak and then get hung up on before I’m even done speaking. Definitely would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone

Don’t bother wasting your time going to this pharmacy. They don’t value you as a customer, and the pharmacist and his staff are rude. Amazes me how you can run a business like that.

I was in the city for a few days and forgot my medication. I called and was able to get my prescription transfered and a weeks supply dispensed within a few hours.

Normally I can't be bothered with reviews but I've never had such a difficult experience with the pharmacy team as I have this week. I have called the pharmacy every day this week trying to get a prescription refilled, and they've told me each time that they would call me if they could emergency fill it. I wouldn't have requested an emergency refill if I didn't need it and I wasn't in major discomfort. When I called today, Hamzeh, the pharmacist, grilled me about why I was calling for an emergency fill on a Friday, and gave me an extremely difficult time about needing the refill before I had a chance to connect with my doctor on Tuesday next week. I had to explain the entire story about calling all week long. There was no empathy for the customer and I felt like I was being scolded for needing a med for stomach acid. Not percs, not oxys, not pain killers, A STOMACH ACID MED. Brutal. Considering switching to Rexall.

After years of being with Shoppers I had to leave. The pharmacy was the reason I left. Miscommunication multiple times even after recent conversations only to have it repeat itself. Very disappointing. I heard while waiting for my own issues to be dealt with other customers seeming to be going through the same issues on multiple occasions.

My husband went in to pick up my prescription. They only had 7days worth and that we would have to come back in a week for the rest. This has happened numerous times. On his return they had no idea what was still owed for what prescription. I have two different prescriptions and the pharmacy assistant relied on my husband to know which one. Told him to come back in ten minutes. He came out to the car and told me the situation and then I knew it was the wrong one. In I go to correct the error and all they wanted to do is blame my husband for their error. I was told I had attitude and would have to deal with the pharmacist. Pharmacist come over and I told him which one and he walks away with absolutely no comment. Needless to say we will take our business elsewhere. Where has good customer service gone?

I very rarely post reviews but this is by far the worst pharmacy service I've ever encountered. I've been going there for the last year. Every time I go there there has been a headache and I always think "well, maybe it was just a bad day, it'll be better next time". It never is.
Huge wait times (20+ mins in line once) with staff just seemingly doing nothing in the back counter area, staff not knowing certain parts about the computer systems (entering in insurance), nothing ever being in-stock when dropping off prescriptions, etc.
All my new refills will be transferred to another pharmacy.

I love shopping at this store. I can always find products that I come in for and the staff is always very friendly and helpful.

I had bought a gift card and when scatching the access code the sticker ripped off and I couldn't use it and they shoppers refused to exchange it and now iam out $50 wich is not customer service. I will never go back there

The pharmacists at this pharmacy are anything but professional. The staff have out right lied to me more then once, and will seemingly say anything to shut you up. Refills, confirmed by phone to be ready, are not when I arrive at the pharmacy desk. Twice I have received someone else's prescription. Staff are rude and appear to not care. Because of my horrible experiences at this pharmacy I will never visit a Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy again.

Nice clean store. Staff are nice and friendly. Lots of parking and usually quick with prescriptions at the pharmacy. (10-15 min)

Got my Vaccine here 2 days ago. Although it took almost 2 hours but I’d say they were trying as best as they could since it’s a new thing in pharmacies. Maria thé pharmacy head is very welcoming and Dr. Khalid was a great guy, thank you for all you are doing for us.

Waited 2 hours for vaccine shot even though I had an appointment. All the drop in people are mixed into the line: not sure what the point of an appt is. Also, they could provide the paperwork in the line to save time, speed things up, etc. Probably high covid potential from being inside store for 2 hours. Head pharmacist was very terse.

The WORTS customer service I ever seen is the one provided by the PHARMACY STAFF at this location. These people need some training on how to treat people. I am very surprise they are still in business, more surprise the staff still have a job. I am glad I live in a democratic, capitalist, free market society and I can go to get my prescription somewhere else. THEY DO NOT EVEN KNOW how to fill up the form for the COVID-19 vaccine, they do not understand the concept of time and its importance in this society. I have been getting my asthma prescription over there for a couple years, I can be there waiting up to 4 minutes and I have to acknowledge them about my presence saying something in order to be notice. Why do I still go there? , they are half a block away from my work. I am done with these people, they do not need my business. BY THE WAY, there are so many FREE tutorials/courses on line about CUSTOMER SERVICE (Coursera, FutureLearn), believe me, it does not hurt to get some education, it doesn't.
I took me over TWO HOURS to get my COVID-19 vaccine this Friday, yes, I had an appointment for it.

The Pharmacy team, headed by Maria is exceptional. They are in constant communication about things like whether drugs are covered under your current plan, and there have been multiple situations where they have worked with myself and my doctor's office to solve shortages on my prescriptions if they arise. They also have made suggestions about alternatives and how to organise my medications. I've also been given flu shots during down times when there wasn't a clinic or appointment.

The location is busy, but they are a great staff, they hire really nice interns, and getting texts when your prescription is ready us icing on the cake.

Thank you again to Maria and the whole team. I've known them for years and they've never let me down.

I am so disappointed by how I was treated by the pharmacy staff at this location. While I do not question the pharmacist’s knowledge, they could improve their customer service. I filled several prescriptions here for my sick newborn baby and each time I went the prescription was not ready when I was told it would be (this happened multiple times for the same prescription!) I had several back and forths, arranging childcare each time or taking my children with me. I was given misinformation about prescription coverage resulting in fees I wouldn’t have otherwise had to have paid. It’s overwhelming enough to have a sick newborn, let alone the headache of complicated access to prescriptions. Walking away like I wasn’t worth their time is a horrible feeling.

The experience that I always have at the beauty section is outstanding. Thanks to Thai's awesome customer service, Shoppers is now my primary cosmetic store. His smile is contagious, and he is extremely friendly.

Most useless group of pharmacists and workers i have ever dealt with in my life. I needed a certain prescription to be refilled last Wednesday. They told me to call on friday to pick it up. I call friday, no one answers the phone, I called monday they told me it would be ready by wednesday, I go into the pharmacy on wednesday and they dont even have it ordered yet. If you guys are so useless and cannot get me the prescription that i need for my health issue, just tell me flatout that you wont be any use to me and that I should use ANY other pharmacy within a 200 km radius. Never shopping or supporting shoppers drug mart again

Twice in a row I have tried to fill a prescription for my wife and twice they have screwed up. This second time has caused my wife to have to go to the emergency room. I dropped off a prescription for my wife after her surgury, and was promised it would be ready the next day. When I arrived to pick it up the next day, they had not even looked at it. Turned out they needed to contact doctors, which they would have known if they'd done what they said they would do. Now 48 hours later it is still not ready. Shoppers pharmacy staff did not do their due dilligence, they are reactive, not proactive. So instead of my wife having her essential medication, she must go to the hospital days after sugury. A trip she should not be taking. I do not reccomend this pharmacy to anyone!

Picked up several items today including the purchase of a book of 10 Canadian stamps at the cashier, but when I was in the car could not find the stamps. I went back into the store and was told they had to check the video tape after which they said I was given the stamps with my other items. Still don’t think they gave them to me and sooner than treat me as a valued customer, questioned my honesty. Not impressed and will not be back to this store. Failing mark for customer service.

My husband and I depend on Shopper's Drug Mart, Waterloo Corporate Campus for all of our prescriptions and drug store items. The druggists are very informative, understanding and go that extra mile when needed. Maria is wonderful. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful even when busy. As an added bonus they have a full service post office.

I like the bigger Beauty section in this store but this is another location where they have staff and fake shopper security following you around so closely it's ridiculous.and i mean they'll follow you around from aisle to aisle with their fake baskets, pretending to look at things right beside you, then follow you to the checkout. I have not been back there in a while and probably won't.

This location is extremely unsafe, they let way to many people in at once with the pandemic going on, every business has done their diligence by taking the extra measurements to make sure everyone is safe, shoppers doesn’t seem to have care about the community the public of the employees, will definitely stop going there for a while.

The staff are numb. They take your prescription and that is about the amount of effort they make. They have no customer service skills and definitely make you feel that they are doing you a favour by being there. Considering that there are now dozens of options to fill a prescription around Waterloo, you would think that they would make an effort to keep you as a customer. Not recommended, as this pharmacy is more concerned about the their time and not the customers. I took my prescription back and went somewhere else where they treated me like I was important. When dealing with a person's health there should be caring, concerned and courteous responds in helping a customer.

Staff terrible no etiquette; does NOT want to look up for the item when asked to check, the answer whatever is there is there. To the OWNER I will do the job for half WAGES to what you pay your staff sitting at home over my phone and will give the same answer to your customer as a result you

Great variety of products and the pharmacy staff is friendly and helpful. I’d give them 5 stars if it wasn’t for the constant long line ups at the one out of 4 checkouts that are open. They seem to wait until 10 people are in line line before they call for back up. Don’t make people wait to pay you!

I was looking around to buy some clarin cream. The people in the store were very rude. I was told they don't carry clarins. They acted like they wanted me to leave it was only 9 pm.

Bought all of my meds here cash, when i finally got an insurance plan and needed glucose strips to test my blood sugar (type 1 diabetes) i was sent away because my prescription was not up to date because it had been years since i had insurance.now im blind shooting insulin until i can see a doctor tomorrow.thanks shoppers will never shop here again.

Do not buy your electronics here. I just purchased a Nintendo switch. One of the controllers did not work right out of the box. Shoppers says, too bad, you must contact the manufacture. No Returns and No exchanges on electronics. That's all electronics. Sorry, but if your going to be in the business of electronics and profit from selling those products, then deal with your customers respectfully. Stand behind your products! Shoppers puts all the work on you. A hour on the phone with Nintendo, a hour taking the product to the mail and only 3 weeks to wait for it to return. Great! It was a birthday gift for my son. Thank goodness he is patient. Only 3 weeks for him to enjoy his birthday gift. The manager offered to take $25 off new controllers if I wanted to buy them ($99 Retail). Gee thanks, what a joke. The system only cost $400. Best Buy will exchange products that don't work and except returns. Do yourself a favor, go there to buy electronics. I wish there was 0 stars.

Usually go here for prescriptions as it's right around the corner, but rethinking this after my current experience. My wife went in last night to pick up a prescription (of which we were out and needed for today) and the pharmacist had not checked any of the messages or faxes all evening. I get it you're busy sometimes. Today trying to call in (5 times) and noone will answer the phone anywhere in the store! Management should think about having more bodies around since they are too busy to provide the lowest level of customer service. Not impressed.

I bought a product that had already been opened, so when i went to return it, the manager said i can’t return something if it has already been used.i hadn’t used it, but was forced to bring it back home.not impressed.
