The phone line on the pharmacy here is ridiculous. Not only am I on a wait for 30+ minutes, it plays the music, and then constantly you thing you are going to be going through as it plays the ringing sound only to be redirected to an automated voice saying "one moment please" every time you think someone is going to pick up. A call back system is needed if people are not going to pick up the phone.

Their beauty boutique team is soooo pushy and annoying cuz they are all so desperate for commission especially Olga lol. Bruh they need to stoppp the literal second you even look at the beauty boutique they all swarm to you - not even a MINUTE to look around omg. They try to pressure you soooo much to buy stuff if you decide to only take one thing oh my goodness.

Horrible. Everytime it's the same thing. Wait. Wait. Wait. 5 people working behind the counter and no one comes forward to help. No one asking "who needs help". Zero customer service skils. No acknowledging people in line to pick up prescriptions. Do better!

Pharmacy is horrible. You give them a prescription they tell you it’ll be ready in an hour. You go back hours later and it’s not ready. Every single time they do this. I started getting my doctor to fax the prescription to give them more time which made no difference. He faxed at 1: 00 pm I went to pick it up at 6: 00 pm and they couldn’t even find my prescription. They finally found it (it was sitting on the fax machine since 1: 00 pm) then they tell me I need to wait an hour for the medication! Staff is very rude, not friendly and looks like nobody wants to work at this place. Lazy people with no manners.

**DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS HERE **BEWARN! Lots of fake giftcards on the shelve!

Bought a gift card for my kid’s teacher and turns out there’s a fake bar code sticker on it! Then I found another one with fake sticker on it as well. Cashier didn’t discover till after I had paid. So now it will have to go under investigation before I can potentially get my money back for a fake giftcard that someone is shopping with that I had paid for.

STAY AWAY!

Why must you have a political message on your store window. No one cares what people do in their bedrooms. It's also July. Boycott! My kid goes here, I don't need him seeing that. You are all sick.

This pharmacy is one of the most inconsistent Shoppers pharmacies I’ve been to. I just moved and needed them to get my prescriptions from two other Shoppers pharmacies. I called at 10am and provided them with the numbers to call. I also asked for a specific medication to be filled. I called at 9pm to find out if my medication was ready (11 hours later). They had no record of my medications or any request to call the two other pharmacies for my prescriptions. I was placed on hold for 30 minutes before the pharmacist answered. She had no idea why I was calling (not her fault and she was very helpful, it seemed like the guy I had been talking to just left me on hold for her to pickup instead of explaining the situation). She was able to call one of the pharmacies to get the specific medication I needed right before they closed. I watched her write a note for whoever was in the next day to call both pharmacies and get the rest of my medications on file and put them on hold. I called tonight to fill one of my refills and was told that only one pharmacy was called and transferred. I’ve never experienced something like this but this is just ridiculous to me. Thankful for the pharmacist who went above and beyond to help me but absolutely appalled at everything else that I experienced. This pharmacy needs a lot of work. There’s clearly a lack of communication between the staff.

Pharmacy wait time is ridiculous. Desk staff are unorganized. Don’t dispense your prescriptions here.

Items are not advertised on sale (even though they are) and staff cannot be bothered to verify when you ask.

The pharmacist was absolutely amazing and patient. I am very surprised with the reviews because he helped my husband step
by step and answered all our questions.

Horrible location, been coming here for 8 years, and lately the service and business practices have gone downhill.
The manager Falentena is aggressive to the customers, and literally if you have a complaint, she just tells you not to come here anymore.
I suggest if you have a bad experience here, just go to another location or the Wal-Mart across the road.

Cashier refused to check me out because they want people to use those stupid self checkout machines.

Giving my experience a 1 and that is being generous. I will not be returning as I did not feel as though I was cared for or valued as a customer witch a sick toddler. My son is two and has been fighting a fever of 40 since last night.

I went by this morning to fill a prescription for my son. They stated there was no more amoxicillin and they had to reach out the walk-in I came from to see if the medicine can be switched. I was very understanding and said I would call back later to check up on the status of the prescription.

When I did call about 2 hours later, I had found out that they had not heard back from the walk-in yet. I asked for them to call instead of sending another fax, to which they said okay.

After not hearing back after 30 minutes I called around to other pharmacies and ended up finding amoxicillin somewhere else. Since I couldn't leave my son as he was fighting 2 infections with a fever of 40, I sent my mom to get the prescription back so we could get it filled somewhere else.

It took FOREVER to get it back and once they gave it to her, they ensured that it was not processed and she wouldn't have a problem at the other pharmacy.

WELL THAT WAS A LIE.upon arriving at the other pharmacy, my mom was told that the prescription was processed. The new pharmacist waited forever to get them on the phone, while I was on hold and then hung up on.

My take away from today is that nowadays you have to be your own advocate and stay on top things yourself.

20 mins to pick pills and there all standing around not helping anyone honestly you people have zero customers service.

This shoppers drug mart pharmacy at western and Major Mackenzie is really bad.
The workers at the pharmacy are really rude and annoying. There are 2 pharmacists at a time and there that talk rudely. They took 2 hours and said medication not ready. It’s always a long line, to get 1 medication it takes you 2 hours. I’ve experienced it a lot of times before. They don’t tell you the exact time on when to come. Even if you wait and go back, they say to wait an extra half an hour and that goes on to another two hours. Then they will tell you to come back. I mean the pharmacy owner must do something about the wait.

Avoid going to this pharmacy if it possible. Today I was trying to order medication at this pharmacy. I had two items to order. First I was told that insurance is down (only at their pharmacy) and to come back in 30 minutes. No any word that one item they haven't in pharmacy. After 30 minutes waiting time I was told that I will receive only one item. I asked about doctor prescription to order medication in other pharmacy. I received only copy. Rexall pharmacy worker was trying to contact with this pharmacy for 20 minutes to ask them transfer prescription. No respond. I came back to shoppers drug mart second time for prescription. I return them item they sold me and receive my prescription back. Nobody offer me apology. I ask to talk with pharmacy owner or manader. Any answer. I will never use this pharmacy services again.

11: 00pm walk-in with a 4 year old for prescriptions obtained after a short visit to the ER. The best she could do was put the prescription and insurance information through only to tell me well we’re open until midnight and I have plenty of people ahead of you so I’ll text you when it’s ready. The place was deserted, I was about the only one there with a young child. This screams I don’t care so much that I won’t make an effort to give you real time ETA. Cold, insensitive and unprofessional. The moment I objected about not having any ETA whatsoever, she pulled my prescription by hand and said well I can give you back your prescription and you can go somewhere else. I made my way to the very next closest shoppers and it was black and white, the lady also took my information and said ma’am it’s gonna be about a 15 minutes wait. Thank you

Pharmacy staff have no sense of urgency for waiting customers. When I dropped off prescription, asked me to wait one hour. I came back in two hour instead and found out they didn’t even process yet and have to start all over again. Talk to 3 different staff and no one knows what they’re doing and make you run around back and forth.
Also other pharmacist usually explains about the prescription before handing over to customer but this one don’t.

As always, great pit stop.usually a bargain to be found.just nice to browse, mail letters, convenient for winter " helpers" and sniffle aids.and get those last minute snacks.again, staff ready to help

It was a pleasure working with Alex and his team, it had a humbling effect on me. I will miss my colleagues and the customers.

I am disgusted by the lack of service at the Pharmacy. I phoned in a request to renew a prescription and was put on hold for over 25 minutes. I used another phone to call in to try and get through. Now I had 2 phones on hold. To try to get through to the Pharmacy, I pressed the option saying that I was calling from the Dr’s office. This did not help. I left one phone on hold and tried to get a hold of customer service. The person tried to refer me back to the pharmacy.
I repeatedly asked to speak to the owner or have a message sent to the owner Josephine. She said she could not do this. She said she did not know where she had left to. I repeatedly asked her to leave the owner a message to call me.

This is the same pharmacy that had finally got the prescription Specialist sent in and then- after I confirmed the prescription had arrived- the Pharmacy had lost it. Josephine, the owner, had to step in- but had to use an old prescription.

Just recently, my Dr’s office sent a prescription over to them for puffers- they said they never received it and my Dr’s office had made a mistake- I doubt that. I went to Walmart Pharmacy and it was all taken care of.

I feel sorry for older people trying to navigate through this tangled mess of a Pharmacy.

It honestly deserves less than one star!

Olga at the Beauty Boutique was extremely rude and unpleasant to deal with. She followed me around the store and didn’t let me touch any of the products because apparently that’s store policy, despite me buying $400 worth of products. I noticed her racism towards other customers of color as well. Never visiting this location again.

Olga from the beauty boutique provided very poor customer service. Would not recommend ever going back to this location, especially NOT the beauty boutique. Shoppers Mackenzie, please hire employees who can do their job properly.

This location is fantastic! I have been shopping here for about 2 years now, and the number one reason why I come to this particular location is to see Olga! There are multiple other Shoppers around where I live, but I will make the time to drive to this Beauty Boutique simply for the excellent service and product knowledge. Olga has been a wealth of knowledge and expertise for all of my Beauty Boutique needs. When I come to the store looking for a product, not only does she show it to me, but she gives me ample customer feedback on it, as well as tips for product usage. I have also been introduced to so many brands that I would have never thought to try because she takes the time to explain them to me and show me their best selling products. When I go in for my tried-and-true lines that I have used my whole life, she always shows me awesome promotional sets that the brand may have at that time. Please disregard the prior negative reviews - they are simply false/fake. Olga is a knowledgeable and friendly professional that goes above and beyond at her job. If you are in the neighborhood, check out this Beauty Boutique location!

I've gone to this pharmacy for a long time and I've tolerated their incompetence for too long now. This is my first time writing a review but I am so disappointed that I need to share with my fellow neighbors but it looks like this isn't the first time someone has brought it to light. At this point, even though this is the closest location to me, unfortunately, I am going to have to go to a different location due to the lack of incompetency and customer service. They will literally make you jump through hoops just to get a refill on your prescription which is something that could be done on their end and love to waste your time.

The Pharmacy is completely incompetent.

From constantly claiming my drugs aren't ready when I've got several notifications (on email, text, and on the website) that they are, to giving me a partial prescription and then refusing to honour the remainder of the paid-for drugs when they came in (!), to straight up giving us the wrong prescription (codeine, no less), don't go here. I don't think we've ever had a problem-free visit. With this level of shenanigans it's like the place is run by prankster elves. Nothing ever goes right. Ever.

Constant mistakes with no accountability, always blaming their customers for problems coming from their end.it's one thing to be incompetent, but to be rude, too? Pick a struggle! There are enough pharmacies in the area that you don't have to go through this nonsense every month. Go literally anywhere else. There is a shoppers drug mart about five feet in any direction in this town. Fortinos, Rexall, Walmart, Costco, independent drugstores, Felix, well.ca, or even consider going to Pharmaceutical college and filling your own prescriptions. It would be easier and less annoying. Just do not go here.

I've gone to this pharmacy for many years but the same problems linger on. Other reviewers are correct - this pharmacy has issues with communication. Yes we are in a pandemic - but it is next to impossible to get a hold of someone at this location. I called two other SDMs in the area, and both pharmacies picked up the phone in a reasonable time-frame. We get it everyone is busy and there is limited staffing, but why are other locations, who have the same customer base, able to pick up the phone? Not sure of the issue here, but this location definitely needs to improve their customer service.

Just awful, awful.when we moved all our prescriptions here last year service was much better! Cannot get a hold of pharmacy by phone or on hold for more than 10 mins for a simple question! I had to call 5 times for 1 medication in the last 2 days.
Additionally, Wait time to pick up medication is more than 2 days! Medications I don’t need are ready for pick up. I can’t keep up the incompetency of this pharmacy!

Think it’s time for our family to move our business elsewhere!

Stay away from this place. Absolutely incompetent with 'do not care' attitude pharmacy. If you are drug dependent, they will make sure that you will be out of stock with your medication as they absolutely do not follow on their prescription orders from their suppliers, they give you false promises, never call you back, do not have knowledge of medication compounding. If I could I would cease their operating license, SHAME to this pharmacy! Have some accountability when attending to people who are medication dependent!

I had a bad experience with this branch this morning. I took 2 phots for renewing my business license but seems that I forgot to take the photos after paying, or they had probably fallen from my hand while adjusting my mask and face shield on the way out. After 10 minutes I tried to call the store which took me over 15 minutes to speak to someone. The lady at the cash was trying to help but her supervisor was of the least help ever. She wants me to come take new picture and pay for them, or to print the same pictures, for me, for the same price ($22.59) to pay again. I even regretted the time I spent talking to her. She was really disappointing. She even refused to send me my photo by email or a msg. I would never be to that branch again.

I don’t usually write reviews but I had a wonderful experience this past Sunday at this location. It wasn’t too busy in the morning and I walked in to a very nice clean and organized store. I was first greeting by the lady in the beauty boutique who was very pleasant. I found everything I needed and was very happy with their food selection. Nice to grab milk, eggs, chicken fingers and cheese. During these times it’s nice to avoid multiple stops and nice to know shoppers carries your basics. As I got to the cash, the cashier Victoria was super friendly, very enthusiastic and delightful! Not the service I’m accustomed to these days! You can tell she was grateful to be there and enjoyed her job! I had an overall wonderful experience!

I had a less than satisfying experience at this store today. I went in shopping for a high end foundation. The beauty consultant was less than enthusiastic to help. I understand that they can’t do color matching due to covid but there must be other options including using her experience to help. What’s the point of having a consultant then? I had better experience at other stores and there was more willingness to help. I left without buying anything.

Stop forcing us to use the self checkout machines!
When I was waiting in the line to pay, I heard one of the managers was arguing with a cashier that she should not be by her cash desk in a rude way. I feel so bad for that poor girl because I saw how she was asking everyone to kindly use the machine before but some people like myself are not comfortable with that!
At least treat your own employees better in the public!

Clean and had what I needed. Busy, but everyone I saw was wearing a mask, except for one woman wearing a face shield. Much better than some of the local Shoppers!

This pharmacy is horrible.you have to wait every single time for your prescription at least 30 minutes even if it’s just something that they grab from the shelve (not prepared). They are so rude to patients (it’s not necessary at all) and even the manager is useless and doesn’t care, he did not bother to come to me because he knew that I was going to complain? I’m not surprised that there are so many bad reviews! Higher management should definitely take action. Problem is, they know if a couple os people walk away, they will still have lots a clients coming in.

Has everything you’d expect. Including some unusually long wait times at the pharmacy - It always feels like the employees are not concerned at all about their timeliness. Oh and don’t make a left out of the west side of the parking lot onto weston road if it’s rush hour. Nearly impossible

If this shoppers promises you a prescription that you are supposed to start that day, dont count on it, staff are completely incompetent neanderthals. Told us to wait for a call and never got one AND the apprx.time we were told to come back was AFTER close

I find the customer service staff to be consistently rude and unsupportive. A few years ago, my wife went to the store and one of the clerks said to her "why are you shopping here with you baby? " Recently, I tried returning an item and they refused because it was 90 days past the purchase date. However, when I tried to return the item earlier the store was not taking returns because of COVID. I had to argue with them for 10 minutes to return an item that cost less than $4. Instead of doing their job like proposing a solution, I was presented with poor excuses such as 'that's our policy' or 'I just work here. ' In the end I was the one who had to suggest getting a store credit. When I said thank you, they replied, "oh now you are being nice. " Thank goodness this store now has self check out so you don't have to deal with their staff as often.

Service is good, they always have what im looking for. I recently had a issue manager was fast to repoind and make it right.

This is my local Shoppers drug mart and they have everything I need! I'm a make-up guru and I love spending my PC points on there expanded make-up selection. They carry TOO Face and Benefit which are my two favorite brands. The beauty boutique manger is always super helpful whenever I have questions I highly recommend this store.

I have no idea why there is no passport photo service for newborns but adults. That is so weird.

Worst customer service I’ve ever had in all Shoppers Drug Mart. I bought Dior perfume for my wife few months ago and I requested politely if she can wrap it, she said yes, they do wrapping.but the beauty section employee “Nadia” wrapped it as if it a sandwich so I wanted to be nice and told her I’ll wrap, she gave me the look. I went home very annoyed from her action so I decided to return the product and went bought it from Shoppers at Jane and Major Mac, the employee there was super nice, when I told her it for my wife’s bday, she wrapped it very nice.

Again I went to buy a gift from the beauty section, the same employee, when she saw me before even saying hi or how can I help you, she said “ you’re not allowed to touch any product? ” I looked at her and left the store.the same employee with the same attitude. I totally understand the situation during COVID but the first incident wasn’t during COVID.

I didn’t complain the first time but I had to share it here because it’s not the first time.

With all due respect to the owner, I won’t go to this location again.

I've been coming to this place once a week for 3 years now, and it's just like every Shoppers DM everywhere. Usually everything goes smoothly and sometimes (shocker) people make mistakes, but I've never had an incident where I felt the need to leave a bad review. I notice most bad reviews are related to returns. I don't have those issues because I make sure I want the item before I buy! What a concept!

Very rude cashier (Rita!). Apparently she is also the supervisor. SAD for the usually decent store. No understanding of customer service at all.

If I could give this a 0 star, It would be a more accurate depiction of this store’s rating. Called in today for an inquiry about a product at 11: 18am today. A woman picked up the phone when I called with a non-welcoming tone and was very rude towards me (horrible customer service) which is usually not the case at other Shoppers Drug Marts that I’ve called.

Had to wait for my child prescription to be ready for more than 40 minutes, very slow. Funny thing I needed nazal drops, that it.

Had my makeup done by Francesca and she did such an amazing job. She was also very sweet. Thank you, Francesca! I wanted to tip her but unfortunately staff aren’t allowed to accept tips.

I went in on a relatively quiet evening on a Sunday to buy a $200 tablet. I spoke to a lady working at the front asking her if they had this tablet so I can purchase it but if not if she could tell me what other stores would have it. She said she would call her supervisor which after 5 minutes never showed up as the lady stared at me wondering what I was doing up there waiting for someone. I could have spent my $200 there but I'll take my business elsewhere

This shoppers is quite big, but it’s never fully staffed. Furthermore the wait time for prescriptions is surreal every single time! I sometimes need to wait for my prescription for over 30mins. For a mouth wash which doesn’t need to be prepared you still have to wait for over 20mins. You really just need to put a sticker on the bottle and give it to the customer when there is nobody there. If you can go to a different location don’t come here. Because everybody thinks this is a bigger location everything can be done faster. It is wrong, that’s why it’s busy here always.

Called for postal services and they picked up right away!
Aside from the usual shoppers drugmart items, they also sell post stamps for mail!
I also find the people working at Beauty boutique very friendly and accommodating
