It's like most shoppers they greet you at the door. I have to say I hate always being steered to the self-serve I would much rather go through the checkout. Prices are getting pretty high and I often find better deals elsewhere.

The staff who work in the store are great but the pharmacy team was quite rude to my grandmother. They may be understaffed as the team seemed short and easy to anger.

HORRIBLE PHARMACY. I've been coming to this Shoppers for 40 yrs and it was always great. The last 2 years it has gone down so far and so fast I am switching to Pharmasave (across the street. It has a 5 star rating). I was told by a store employee that the pharmacy fired alot of staff lately and it doesn't seem like they've replaced them. The number of people waiting to pick up prescriptions is usually 6 to 10 people and having a mobility disability I can't wait that long. The interaction I had the other day was the last straw. They were inept and very rude. I was only there because they had made an error on my prescription from the previous day. They acted and spoke as if I was an inconvenience to them. I look forward to switching over to Pharmasave. The front store staff are always amazing, friendly and helpful but the pharmacy department has definitely dropped the ball, hence the bad reviews. I actually had an older couple apologize to me for the rude treatment I got and agreed they were not happy either. I will be contacting the owner of the pharmacy however I don't expect any positive results from her. It seems like it's more about the money than the customers. Goodbye Shoppers.

I've had a lot of problems with the pharmacy customer service at this location, and I'm honestly thinking about changing back to my previous pharmacy location even though the drive is longer.

Today, I had to drop off a script, and ended up waiting 15 minutes to drop it off because the rep was chatting with the man in front of me. 5 people came and went at the pick up counter while I waited. A lot of staff were there and a lot of empty counters but I had to wait 15 minutes while the lady had a conversation and ignored me.

Then they told me that both my drug plans didn't go through. When I provided all the numbers they confirmed they were the same as on file. They told me I'm sorry, they still didn't go through, but then when I asked about recourse they backtracked and admitted one had gone through. No apology at all.

While they never ask for ID at this location when I pick up my spouse's script, this time they did. But they hadn't for the person in line in front of me who was picking something up for their spouse.

All I'm saying is mistakes happen, waits happen, ID might need to be checked. But when you make someone wait, or make someone dig up all their drug cards because you're trying to tell them the plans don't work, normally you apologize for the inconvenience. Normally just saying something as easy as " that's weird it went through this time, I'm sorry for the inconvenience" goes a long ways. And ID shouldn't ONLY be checked when your customer is starting to get upset because they've got an upset baby waiting for them.

14 year olds who work at McDonalds have better customer service skills.

The worst pharmacy ever. Not recommended this location. They will give you too much headache.

The pharmacy is delaying medication dispensation for stimulant medications. I had this happen a few weeks ago and now a friend of mine too. Both of our scripts were delayed by 5 days.

TURNS OUT THERES A MEDICATION SHORTAGE SO THIS MAY NOT BE SHOPPERS FAULT, but they do need to inform customers appropriately when medication is being pushed back for safety.

I also feel as if there’s a negative bias from some of the pharmacy team towards stimulant medication which kinda sucks, I get consistently questioned about my medication, which I never had at my previous pharmacy

I've only used the pharmacy services at this location, but I've never had an issue here. My medication is always ready for pick up on time & the staff are very kind even when it's busy. The pharmacists are always willing to answer any questions I might have if I get a new medication prescribed. One of the best pharmacies I've used!

Horrible pharmacist here. She would not renew my medication because she “did not want to. ” I have had the same medication renewed by other pharmacies. This chick is just on some power trip

I can’t even begin to list the limitations of this location. I was prescribed antibiotics for a viral infection from the pharmacist. I have since needed to come here several times recently to deal with all the meds I now need - based on their original misdiagnosis. I need to wait an hour each time I want my meds and they will not allow anyone else to get them for me. What a mess.

I called back later and the pharmacist told me the woman I spoke with was wrong, and it was unclear to him how someone working there could could be this confused. What’s odd to me is how she aggressively defended her position when I questioned it - considering she was inaccurate. I guess she doesn’t care when I am the person that needs to suffer the consequences associated with her incompetence. Thanks Julie - this 1 star is for you.

No one is answering phones and I end up visiting for a refill, and when they do they rush you. When you visit they tell you don't come here but just call. I ll switch to another location. I don't like to be yelled at by my pharmacist. Some good folks are there though.

Pharmacy here is competent, timely and most people are friendly. The online prescription refill service is very helpful and generally easy to use.

The pharmacy hear is awful, not once have they had my prescriptions ready when they said they would. I've gone up to 5 days without my needed medications. There is no excuse for the poor service, lack of communication. I will not be calling the customer service line as offered in other reviews. It's pointless. I'll be taking mine and my familes business else where. It's a poor excuse for a pharmacy.

Had to get a script filled and it was done in a matter of moments. Was able to do other shopping while waiting. The pharmacy assistant was polite and effient in getting my script filled. Great experience.

A big thank-you to the boutique clerk that assisted me this morning February 27th! I really appreciated the information she shared with me as well as her own personal experiences, it helped me to feel confident with my purchases. The clerk was very friendly and offed her assistance as soon as I walked in. I also have to mention she had a great sense of humour. Overall a great visit to Shoppers.

Our prescription for a daily (water pill) 90 pills for 90 days had been changed to 30 pills for 30 days. We went in to show this error in December and again in January! They did not give use the balance of 120 pills owed to us. In February, we went in to talk to the pharmacist again. Why is no one offering to correct this error? For over 10 years, we have been faithful customers. This a new scam to watch for at Shoppers.charging 3x for a dispensing fee?
Making us come in monthly for a simple drug our Doctor perscribed for 90 days like the rest of our prescriptions.

I had literally the sweetest boutique lady ever give me her opinion on which lip oil I should choose

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I called to renew my prescription three days early because it always takes forever and went today and they told me it’s still not ready. This has happened to me every single time I have had to renew a prescription, and I know it has nothing to do with my doctor because I talked to him. Do NOT go here. Completely unacceptable!

I will say, the pharmacy staff are lovely. I've not had any bad experience (haven't been to this store a whole lot) there's been a few issues with security having to deal with people, which makes things uncomfortable.

The pharmacy here is terrible. I have been using the pharmacy since July here and not ONCE have I had a good experience. They never have prescriptions ready on time and this is now the second time they haven’t been able to process meds through OHIP. The first time, they gave me the name brand because the generic wasn’t available and basically told me to pay or I wouldn’t get my meds. This time, I came in several hours after my Dr.faxed over my meds and it wasn’t ready yet… shocker. The girl told me it would be ready by 8am the next morning. I come in at 10am, 2 hours after it was supposedly going to be ready, and yet again I still had to wait for it to be checked. Not to mention I then was almost charged almost $200 for something that should’ve been put through OHIP. I hate confrontation and I am not one to complain but this place has pushed me too far. Will not be coming back.

This pharmacy is the absolute worst. This is the second time I've gone in for a simple refill for my prescription only for their incompetence to take what is a 5 minute job everywhere else over 40 minutes to figure out. They don't know how to read benefits cards, they constantly cancel then reorder prescription which is suspicious as hell, and ultimately they make you feel like the bad guy for making them do their job. I will t switching my prescription location to get away from these people. I recommend that no one uses this pharmacy for such important things.
