Trying to have prescriptions refilled at this pharmacy is an atrocious experience every time. Each time I have called in, I have been left on hold for anywhere from 35 minutes to nearly 2 hours. And each time, I am told "we are extremely busy". It seems that there is no period of time between opening and closing that anyone can answer the phone in a timely manner. I have also tried having prescriptions refilled through the online service. And nearly each time they have "lost the prescription" or "have not received a refill request".
Once again, I have spent the majority of my day calling/on hold with this pathetic excuse of a pharmacy. And seeing how many others have had the same problem for months is far from promising. The manager of this Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and the way that they conduct their business. Disgusting.

Furthermore, I do NOT want to receive a response requesting that I call 800 number customer service line. Clearly that has not helped anyone thus far and is just a band-aid for the real problem.

I hope that anyone that reads this will switch pharmacies as soon as possible. Get away from this place while you can.

I was stuck on hold with you for 90 minutes and when a live person finally got on the phone. I was told that "they were crazy busy". That's no excuse for leaving a customer on hold for so long. I've had many problems with you over the years. I'm so close to taking my business elsewhere. If I do take my business elsewhere. I will not be the only one!

Worst customer service that i have ever experienced, full of racism. One of their old employee in beauty department he was so rude and disrespectful and put fake allegations without any evidence that we destroyed their product.seriously i have never seen someone with such a bad attitude and worst customer service ever.

Tried to utilize the pharmacist prescription service for pink eye (conjunctivitis) with mild symptoms only to be told that it was too complicated for him to diagnose. Symptoms are pretty clearly identified on the shoppers website as well as the provinces website for the program. Was told to go to the ER. Then Instead of getting a pharmacist recommended prescription he directed me to the over the counter product. Pretty horrible experience with a new program that the province is trying to introduce to help with our struggling health care system.

WORSE pharmacy ever. Prescriptions incorrect 9/10 times. Seems like a high turnover of staff which might account for the incompetence. When prescriptions are filled incorrectly the staff blame the doctor or patient. Ridiculous service!

Arrived at the post office 2 minutes early to ship a pre-labeled return, I just needed to pay for postage. I proceeded to wait 9 minutes after they opened for the employee to try typing in his password over and over to which I assume he then got locked out. I then asked if there was someone around who could help him, to which he said no. After him fighting with the computer for another 4-5 minutes (while 4 of us waited in line) he then typed in all the information for my return and I was then told my address was invalid and he couldn’t ship it even though it was a computer generated label.

I let all the other people waiting go ahead of me and then asked the gentleman why the address wouldn’t work and he said I needed to contact the shipper to get a different address and that he couldn’t help me.

While I can appreciate the address was a unique one, the employee somewhat rudely told me a couple of times that he knows what he’s doing behind the desk and that my computer generated label wouldn’t work.

I left in frustration, took it to the post office downtown and they had it shipped within 2 minutes of me being there.

If I could I would give ZERO star, not even worth for 1 star, I’ve been trying to call Pharmacy for more than 30 mins and still couldn’t hold of anyone. If you are not capable of serving the people in need than what is the point to keep open the store!

The staff tries their best, but alas this store is lost and has been for years. The prescription service is incredibly slow. “We’re “ trying our best isn’t always good enough when the same issues present themselves over and over again. Go elsewhere.

This branch gives the rest of the branches a bad name, pharmacist here giving medical advice which my doctor isn’t too happy about. Many many issues in the past, hard to call in on the phone without being left on hold for over an hour.

No one in pharmacy picks up the phone. Call numerous times, waiting 5-10 min, repeated callbks, NO ONE PICKS UP.

The pharmacy is extremely substandard which is a shame because the service in the rest of the store is fantastic. Instead of posting the same response with an 800 number attached perhaps they should take a proactive approach instead of a reactive one as it is clear that a substantial portion of their customer base is not happy with the level of service they provide. I will take my future business elsewhere.

I am currently on vacation here at a cottage and forget my medication, I went in and asked for some as it’s buscopan and can be sold over the counter. The girl behind the counter wasn’t a pharmacist and told me they haven’t had any for months. I really needed this medication as I have severe GI upset and I’m 6 hours from home so I looked up alternatives and went to ask for the alternatives. This time it was a pharmacist and she told me they did have buscopan and they haven’t been out of it. Very unprofessional pharmacy in my opinion.

The last 4 times I have been here for refills that were ordered online though the app and just required pick up, it has been quite the waste of time. Each time, it has been a minimum 10-15 minute exercise of standing in line. This last time was the last time I will give this store my business.

I arrived to be number 3 in the line. The customer being served was arguing about a prescription refill and that conversation took a good 10 minutes. Without going into details, it ended with the pharmacist going to fill the script. Of the 3 people behind the counter, no one cared that there was a line up now at 6 people and that someone should be tending the cash register. After being ignored by the staff for another 5 minutes, the person in front of me left. I would have been next to be served if anyone bothered to look at anyone waiting. I couldn’t help but wonder why I had bothered ordering my refills online days before when others just walk in and get their scripts filled while everyone waits.

I queried the staff with a polite "excuse me, will you be much longer"? The woman who was filling the prescription of the person waiting sapped back "I'm serving the person in front of you". I politely responded "I understand that, but if this is going to take another 15 minutes, I will come back later". She snapped at me again that she didn't know how long she would be and that they were short staffed and I needed to be patient. I explained I had been patient, for at least 15 minutes, I just wanted to know if I should come back later as I didn't want to be continually ignored. At that point, another staff member joined in the conversation and said we weren't being ignored. I was snapped at again.

The staff were rude and extremely non caring towards the customers standing in line waiting to simply pick up prescriptions that had been pre ordered and again, this was not an isolated incident. As simple acknowledgement from anyone "I'm really sorry folks, we are really busy and we will be a while, you might want to come back" would have gone a long way. Instead, they all avoided eye contact with anyone in line and no one tended the cash. After 20 minutes I gave up and left. I will say when i returned another day to get my prescriptions, the wait was short and the person on the cash was really nice and pleasant. That was the first time I had a positive experience at this location and it was too little, too late.

I have moved my prescriptions and all my pharmacy related shopping to Lanes Pharmasave up the road where the staff is friendly and the store is much easier to access. What a wonderful store Lanes is with caring staff who smile and what a nice store on the inside. It’s no wonder their rating is so much higher than this poorly rated Shoppers location. I understand this Shoppers is busy as it’s the only one in town, but that is no excuse for the rudeness and complete lack of customer care normally shown by the pharmacy staff at this location. 

This Shoppers location has a rating below 3 and a lot of 1 star reviews for a reason. Their generic response of “Please call us at 1-800-SHOPPERS” is all they have to say, but they never address the issues.

Camping at Killbear and my skin was super dehydrated so I came over to shoppers in need of a moisturizer. Ian was extremely kind and knowledgeable! He helped me find a product to that I’m excited to use for the trip and on. Thank you!

As a local person I can say that the sheer number of new or seasonal customers who decided to stay in the area during Covid overwhelmed the store. The continual increase in the population during Covid and and afterward has been difficult. This is not Toronto and before Covid, all filled prescriptions used to fit in the drawers. They did not need baskets or repurposed counter space. If you recently moved here from southern Ontario, have some patience. Your presence here means we likely need a second location to meet everyone's needs. I have to wait now too.

Worst experiences here ever don't know why I still go here.had a old rude a** woman come up to me and me only in the store walking If I needed help with anything continuing to follow me around d in the store like I was gonna steal when I always buy stuff there! Unbelievable and very racist there they just assume because you are a different race

Although very busy - the Pharmacy staff are always polite and courteous and go the extra mile to assist their patients. Extremely happy with the Pharmacy and the care we receive

I went in with a huge shopping list and savanah help me find every thing i needed. She was a great help.
