Shoppers Drug Mart

I have never had a problem here for the last 10+ years. Pharmacy staff have always been polite. Whom ever the blonde mid 50 year old woman was working at the drop off desk today between 10am -3pm rolled her eyes and shook her head before i even said one word. A minor resolution was needed in regards to billing my insurance. Not a big deal no sweat right? Not for her she was short tempered argumentative and condescending. And made the fix 1000 times more difficult than needed. Its unfortunate that she thinks so highly of her self and her roll at the drop off desk. She should not be working amongst the other great staff at this location. If you look up “ Thunder Cunt” in the dictionary her name will be there. Unfortunately i did not get her given name.

To my knowledge Ontario pharmacist can now write a prescription for common minor illnesses. The pharmacy is open until 10pm, however the pharmacist working would not write a prescription for pink eye due to it being "too late". I didn't realize there was certain hours, within their operating hours, to have a pharmacist write a prescription, and if 9pm is "too late", kindly post hours. His lack of care, concern or compassion was mind boggling, especially when he wasn't busy at all. Kindly move along and into another field of work, if you are out of care and desire to help people with their health.

Went there last week to get a walk in Covid vaccine, pharmacist was too busy and said I should make an appointment, so I made an appointment, showed up on time and was told they had run out of vaccines. Ridiculous. Why would they not save some vaccines if they knew they had people booked in, or at the very least send a notification to cancel the appointment.

On many occasions one of the pharmacists have left me on hold for long periods of time and also has hung up on me many times and also had tried to dismiss me in person and looked to another customer and said he’s done he’s leaving and I said no actually I’m not leaving until I get my medication I drove here for. Then he smirks and sighs and abruptly thumps my meds down on the counter and walks away. I’ve been nothing but polite and have tolerated the abuse and I’m fed up and I am no longer tolerating this bad behaviour and ignorance. Avoid this location unless your ok with being treated like a second class citizen by an over paid smuck

Horrible service at the post office from Alynne. My package was shipped back to me instead of shipped to the address on the package. Went back to have it shipped correctly and was told a refund could be made after shipping it to the correct address. After paying twice to have this package shipped I was told she didn’t know how to process a refund?

WHAT A JOKE AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
WILL NEVER EVER SHOP THAT LOCATION AGAIN … stores are franchised owned
And that franchise owner does not care about their customers!

I JUST SPENT $289 online shoppers and returning ing a cream $40 and you turn me away representing SHOPPERS DRUGMART! WOW!

Harsh Patel, one of the pharmacists, was incredibly rude and discriminatory towards me. He put me on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on me. When I called back, he put me on hold again without listening to me. I had to go in person only to see that there was absolutely no one in line (not busy at all). So all I can surmise is that he hung up on me on the basis of my name. I did not end up getting my prescription filled here. When I tried to address his behaviour, he was incredibly rude and discourteous. He was unable to answer any questions about my medication because he did not have the knowledge. Then, he refused to serve me and passed me off to the pharmacy assistant. The pharmacy assistant was able to answer my questions but I chose not to fill my prescription here because of the incompetence and discrimination I experienced here. I was also genuinely worried he would tamper with my medicine. I switched pharmacies right away and I am getting much better service elsewhere. My advice to others: choose a different Shoppers Drug Mart for your pharmacy needs.

Save yourself the headache and find a different pharmacy. The pharmacist, Harsh Patel, was extremely rude and dismissive. First he hung up the phone when we called, then we went in person 5 mins later to find there was no line up at the pharmacy, absolutely no reason to ignore phone calls. When confronted about it, he refused to serve us and had the assistant help us. Ultimately, we transferred our file out of this pharmacy. They are really incompetent, for months we have tried to line up several medications to refill at the same time but they have been unable to make that happen.

Staff member loudly accused me of trying to steal a shopping basket when leaving the store to empty it in to my car before returning it like I usually do. They didn't have any bags at the self-checkout and there was no cashier at the normal checkout. What am I supposed to do? She gave me a plastic bag from the locked cabinet behind the cash before she let me leave, never apologized.

Staff power tripping. Avoid the store.

Has the worst post office possible, they had a be back in 15 minutes sign, me and 7 other people waited there for over 30 minutes. They tried calling the employee no one came. Then 3 employees came near the post office and started fighting with each other saying they didn’t want to do the post office. As someone like myself who is in the customer service field and has been for 10+ years it doesn’t matter if you want to or not, your getting paid to do your job even if that means helping out another area. This is really unfortunate considering I’m at that shoppers more then 5 times a week and it seems like employees there some are good but the other ones are lazy and apparently don’t want to do jobs there even though there getting paid to be there.

Yep, Not open til midnight like the sign says.
A company this large, should be able to change out their sign.

Worst experience ever!
Pati pharmacy assistant is very rude, not knowledgeable and worst person I met ever in my life. She is not professional.
I am on hormonal medication which I must take daily at specific time. My family doctor retired and I am inthe transition of getting the new one. I have an appointment with new family doctor which is coming in 15 days. So I went to Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy and asked assistant (it was Petty) to Renew my medication as an emergency situation for 15 days (before the day when I see my new family doctor).
She strictly rejected and my explanations that if I loose taking a hormonal pill it is affecting my health and hormones. She does not want to listen anything… she just sails that I have to go to walk-in clinic. People leaving in Barrie know situation with walk-ins, huge lines and sometimes you have to return next day. As I am full time working person and we have strict attendance policy I tried few times to see walk-in doctor but was unsuccessful due to lines.
So in conclusion, I think this kind of”professionals” like Peti who do not help people i their emergencies should not be working in medical facilities.

Well, third times the charm. I have been using this pharmacy for 10 years, since moving to Barrie. This is the 3rd time in the last few months that they have taken and lost my perception. After 2 weeks, I'm still waiting for some parts of my perceptions. No contact, no follow-up. You can no longer come in and wait for an order (at least my last number of trips in). They tell you to come back the next day or later in the week, needing multiple trips in. When I ask to wait, they indicate that they need several hours to dill an order. It really has gone down hill fast.

Very disappointed with the pharmacist on the evening of Sat and Sun April 2 and 3.
I needed medication for UTI and he refused to do his job with the excuse he didn't have any staff to help him. Both times there were no customers waiting.
I went to another pharmacy and no problem at all!

Loblaws entire corporation including Shoppers Drug Mart are scamming society and milking everyone while they get rich off the suffering of people. Raising prices like crazy while also taking in record profits. Im done with these crooks
