Normally have no issue with a regular prescription; always get a text when refill ready in timely manner. But, had a one time prescription that was time limited. Phoned pharmacy many times & left 2 voice-mails asking when it would be ready, with no call back. When picking up a regular prescription a month later, asked about the previous prescription. Woman at counter said yes, that prescription still on my file, offered no explanation as to why I was never informed it was ready and said only the Pharmacist has access to voice-mail and never checks it. No acceptance of responsibility. Very poor customer service.

There is no pharmacy good help for customers in this branch especially on phone I called them several times yesterday and they kept me waiting until hang up the last time I fell asleep because I had had my chemotherapy and couldn’t answer the phone when they finally decided to answer me!

Their Canada Post employee are very rude and helpless to customers. Her name is **ina, so as their manager sitting in their post office. When something is unclear, you question them they even start a sarcasm on their customer. Zero customer service.

1/5 Whatever you do, DO NOT open a P. O. Box at this location. They closed my box twice after I paid for it each time and apparently my payment went to a different P. O. Box. After only having a box for 6 months, they managed to screw up my payments twice and close my box twice so I couldnt receive very important mail for months at a time. Totally incompetent location. I moved to another location.

Absolutely horrible service at the pharmacy. They are the closest one to my house so I have tried going there multiple times. I went there for a prescription for my baby and although the prescription is covered they still charged me claiming i have coverage through insurance. My baby isn't on our insurance because they are covered by OHIP. My husband went again today to get my 1 year old and my 7 year old their medications and they refused to cover it claiming it's not covered. After checking the Ontario Coverage website AND calling 2 other pharmacys the medications are covered under OHIP. Very frustrating and unprofessional. He ended up paying almost $100 because my kids need them. We will be going back tomorrow for a refund. Never going here again.

UPDATE May 2023: Gabriella in Cosmetics is a gem. I was struggling with eye shadow colours and she helped me figure things out. Got a beautiful shadow that was perfect. Her patience, kindness and knowledge are so very appreciated!

UPDATE March 2019: I had Lauren help me find the perfect lipstick. The first one she picked I ended up getting. She didn't rush me, I was very well taken care of!

I use this shoppers as they are close to my house, but thinking about starting to use the other location down the road. There are a few staff members from the pharmacy department that are extremely rude and unprofessional. I do not usually leave bad reviews but was blown away from the actions and comments from Wanita. She is part of the pharmacy team and was extremely rude. I went to the pharmacy today to pick up my prescription and it was not ready which is definitely not the unusual there but that is a whole other rant. I asked the gentleman if there was any way I could possibly get one tablet and come back tomorrow and he responded "no problem sir". He proceeded to the back and Wanita rushed over to him and was obviously already extremely upset about something else and asked him " what the hell is going on"? He told her, and she literally screamed at me across the entire pharmacy and told me that I absolutely can not do that and I frequently do this, which literally has never happened and told her that. She started yelling at me again saying yes I do! And I can wait just like everyone else. I was under the impression this was no hassle as the other gentleman already told me no problem. I said I am sorry and had no idea this was a big issue and can come back later. At this point she slammed something down on the counter and started pacing back and forth. The pharmacist came over and apologized for Wanita's actions and explained that they are very busy and that the staff is on edge, my reply was that is not very professional and I should not be the brunt of her anger with a simple question? He apologized again for her actions and told me he will have a chat to her about it. Use this pharmacy if you want the staff members to talk rudely to you, never have your medications on time, loose your scripts, and act unprofessional etc. Please do better as most reviews for this location are bad.

Called at 9 am on Saturday and was told Rx would be ready in 24 hrs. Showed up 36 hrs later only to find out it wasn’t filled. It was an inhaler (takes 1 min to grab from the shelf) and then they wanted me to wait another 4 hrs to fill it. I asked specifically if they could rush it as it was their error and I was told no.

If I would give negative star if I would. 70% of the time, your prescriptions are either mixed up or not done yet. And one of the pharmacists named Meral was literally throwing my husband prescriptions across the desk in anger because I asked more about the new meds which has different compounds (I wanted to make sure it doesn't react badly with his diet). Seems like their staff are incapable of knowing the medicines like pharmacists should. But they are right on top of the chart for delivering an exceptionally rude customer service. Avoid this pharmacy location at all costs.

Very unhelpful. Have to wait days for prescriptions to be filled. Went there twice for passport photos, but first time no one knew how to operate the equipment and second time, "After 6 PM we don't take photos so we can focus on the store. " And here i thought I was actually IN the store! Decidedly unhelpful. That's the last straw and I'm moving my (and my family's) prescriptions elsewhere. No other reasons for us to go to Shoppers, frankly. Oh, and I've been a customer here for 9 years, so I don't make this decision lightly.

Came from the hospital today and put in my prescription for pain meds. They said it would be an hour and a half. Went back after that and they said another hour and a half but they cant guarantee it will be ready then. Said definitely by tomorrow. Im in pain and need my meds! If they couldnt do it then they should have told me plain out so i could go to a different pharmacy. I will never put in a time sensitive prescription here again.

I Dropped off a prescription for my daughter and it was double checked upon drop off that they could fill it. I was told an hour, only to be called 4 hours later (8pm) and told they are not a “compound” pharmacy and couldn’t fill this prescription. I picked up the EXACT same prescription for my youngest two weeks ago. The response from staff “maybe on weekends they do it” and there is a compound pharmacy on Carling to which we asked if it was open at 8pm “No”Ridiculous responses to say the least. The Pharmacist then said go to the other shoppers because “maybe they’ll do it”. I’ve had this prescription filled yearly at this location. It’s on file. Luckily the people at “The other Shoppers” were competent and helpful. Unbelievable.

My mother went to this store around 7: 30 pm April 7. She said the sales in the beauty section ignored her, she was so disappointed. The sales should be well trained especially when two customers need help. My mother just wanted to do a quick shop she had her target in her hand waiting for the cashier about 5 mins. The sales didn’t say a word to her.

I can't say enough about the staff in the pharmacy at the 3781 Strandherd location. Whatever our issues they have been there to consultant and advise. I want to especially single would Michelle at the medication pick up desk. Most times I have been in to pickup medication she is busy. I watch her as I stand in line and see her focussed on customer service and care in such a personal way. She has helped my wife and I numerous times with advice about medication costs saving us a ton of money. This being really important for seniors on a fixed income. But besides that she makes you feel your concerns are important directing us to a pharmists when needed for medical advice. She makes "picking up medication" a pleasant experience, thankyou!

I had a very bad experience in this shoppers. There is a beauty specialist called DIA, who was giving me a very hard time when returning stuff! AVOID Her! I bought a stuff from other shoppers location 3 weeks ago and now I want to return it. I lost receipt but I found the return policy online, it’s ok to return if it’s unopened and in original package. But she refused to return it for me and ask me to go the Chapman mills location to return. I think it might affect her sales so she ask me to go to the other location. I can imagine If you want to buy stuff from her I think you will see her happy face, but not return anything! I have two babies in the car waiting for me. And I don’t have time to go to the other location just for returning! The fuel is not even worth that! DIA is know NOTHING about what is customer service! AVOID AVOID AVOID DIA! @store manager

In regards to my interaction with Blond white girl and the short hair Asian woman at the beauty boutique

I’ve been a customer here for the longest time and never have I ever experienced such poor and utterly horrible customer service in my life.

I was there on March 18th, Friday between 5: 30pm - 6pm, they made me so uncomfortable. I asked the Asian woman a question regarding a skincare product and she refused to help me because it wasn’t in her ‘section’. Anyhow I ignored the rudeness went head and found the products myself and kept shopping around. Had a question about a makeup brand but I had to wait till they finish their conversation about their nails and hair appointments. They didn’t care that I was waiting there nor im a paying customer. And again I decided to ignore the rudeness just to give them the benefit of the doubt. As a woman of color and as a person who had to face a fair share of racism, I’d encourage the store owner to take action. They made me feel so uncomfortable and they acted like they are working at a high end designer store. They make customers feel so little and this isn’t the first time that had happened here. We are paying customers and shoppers is my go to place. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this place again but I hope the owners will take action so that this won’t happen to other women of colour.
I don’t need a reply to this nor going to call any toll free number that you going to provide. All I’m asking is take action. I’ve read through other reviews as well and this isn’t the first time that someone is reporting this particular person.

Courtney in the pharmacy has zero customer service in her. Absolutely rude. Even the staff in the pharmacy I noticed distance themselves from her. I can’t believe that Jeff would put someone like her in his pharmacy. To bad. I will be transferring out after all these years.

I moved from Kanata and switched to this Pharmacy during summer 2021. The first thing I did was to give the person at prescriptions my insurance information. Three months later I discovered it had not been entered into their system. The issue was eventually sorted out by phone with a lady who knew what she was doing. At 80% of my visits, there is a long slow line for prescription pickups. Their prescription packages ready for pickup are overflowing multiple drawers they have so much business. I can see why the owner has little incentive to improve customer service. I'd change pharmacies but the next closest one is 10 minutes further away.

I remember when I stubbed my right toe in 2014. The staff assisted me promptly and injected just the right medicine into the wound. Thanks to this Shoppers Drug Mart location I've been a walking man for the last 20+ years. I feel confident that with this location around, a lot of people around the neighbourhood feel safe.

There are pharmacy staff (not all) that are in dire need of customer service and phone etiquette training. I hope other people who have dealt with this staff have been spoken to more compassionately and respectfully then what I experienced. I highly do not recommend for your pharmacy needs. Switched as soon as I could.

Always had a good shopping experience there. The only issue is when you’d like to pay with cash waiting time can be so long. Store is clean. Good products selection.

We've always been loyal to Shoppers as our pharmacy and drugstore. We recently moved so we switched to this pharmacy for convenience. We've never had such horrible experiences at Shoppers pharmacies. Here they always seem overwhelmed and UNDERSTAFFED. The wait is often very long and almost always has a line. Yesterday it was backed up to the far end of the aisle because this one lady was taking forever and we overheard her and the man in front of us having insurance issues. I'd suggest having 2 pick up windows. The demand is just way too high, it's completely unsustainable right now. Multiple times we have called in for a prescription to be filled and were told it would be ready by x o'clock on x day, only to get there and be told it wasn't filled because they're behind and really busy. This Shoppers needs to get their act together and match their supply to their demand at the pharmacy or we're going somewhere else. Future pharmacy patients BEWARE. Manager - please put this at the top of your priority list. I can guarantee you we're not the only upset patients. I'm giving it 2 stars because the cashier at the pharmacy was very friendly, good idea hiring her.

I chose to go to this pharmacy after leaving the hospital the other night as it was still open and closest to home - you'd think it would be a win win. Boy was I wrong. The one prescription was ready in no time, the other they said would have be compounded the next morning and would be ready by noon.
Went back, was given a later time.
3 different staff gave me different times. Just short of 2 days later and finally a staff member at the Pharmacy had the knowledge to let me know they couldn't fill it there, it had to go to a different pharmacy that does the specific compounding. Thankfully Pharmasave got it filled in a few hours, as it wasn't something I could really wait another day for. Won't be returning here if that many staff are unknowledgeable about what they do within the pharmacy.

Rudest staff I’ve ever come across. The people at the post office are absolutely incapable of providing polite service
When I asked to speak to the manager, she sheepishly came over to me and seemed to not want to deal with the situation. I asked very politely if we could speak privately about the rude employee I was complaining about. The same employee kept following us around the store and she didn’t want to tell him to give us privacy.
He was constantly trying to interrupt our conversation and she did nothing.
I’m thoroughly disgusted by this incident and will never go to this shoppers again.
Terrible customer service for such a great store. Very sad that kids can speak to adults this way these days and get away with it.

Worst customer service ever. The pharmacy staff is extremely rude, condescending, and couldn’t care less. I have shown up multiple times to pick up prescriptions at a designated pickup time and told the wait is still over an hour. Not great for busy people who want convenience. Transferring my file elsewhere.

Having been a customer with this Shoppers for at least 8 yrs, never have I come across with such terrible customer service until recent year when a middle aged woman (probably from Vietnam) serves the night shift at the beauty boutique. The shoppers is my go to place for skincare and cosmetic products. I have been using Estee Lauder, Shiseido, and Lancome for years and I tend to do bulk purchase like when I buy toilet papers and other everyday products. This lady, like a kindergarten teacher, is so condescending, rude, and lacks of adequate customer service manners and words every time I met her. She acts like she is working at a Chanel store all snooty up and treated me like this is the first time I walk into this "fancy" store. Every time I met her, she made me feel very uncomfortable and how I wish she would not talk to me at all. I have not even felt this way when I was actually at a Chanel store. How ironic! Last question for the store owner, is she a co-owner? If so, that probably explains her attitude.

Had a doctor’s visit via Zoom in July. Was told to tell the pharmacy to fax for prescription refills. Told pharmacy this in July. Today, while requesting a med refill, noticed there were 0 refills left (no mention of this when I picked up last prescription). Contacted pharmacy. I have to pay $15 emergency refill because THEY did not fax doctor for prescription refills in July (or anytime afterwards) as I informed them to do. They dropped the ball and I have to pay! Lady on the phone kept saying “so, do you want to get the emergency prescription and pay? ” Yeah, lady, my kid has seizures, the meds are not optional!

This morning I was very pleased with Shoppers' service. The consultant helped me and I bought a product for my eyes (All About Eyes Clinique). After completing my purchase, she presented me with a courtesy from Clinique. I really liked all the goodies in my present. Thank you Shoppers consultant for the affection and Clinique for all those present.

Maybe it's a bad day for this lady in the pharmacy of shopper's but it's not proper to pass that attitude to us customer. We greeted her nice and she didn't even bother to respond to our greetings, but it's ok until we asked a certain kind of prescription for my wife and she's so rude in answering back to us. You can find vitamins and accessories for man and women
Prices are expensive that are open 24 hours
There definitely all kinds of drinks except alcohol.
Also cell phone accessories and water and sugar and salt and prepared cards and gift and chocolate

One of the worst customer experience ever at 3781 Strandherd drive Shoppers Drug Mart. Went to pick up the mail that Canada post was holding for us from Nov 26 until today (Dec 30). I Showed my ID to person at counter. He told me there is nothing for us. I told him that i had called Canada post customer service they had asked me to pick up the mail and parcel which is already at 3781 Standherd drive. Then he gave me ten letters and parcel. I asked him to check in the back if there is more mail for us because our one month mail should be more than that and he refused to look in the back and said that is all they have for us. I asked guys name and he refused to give me his first name. His coworker jumped into the conversation and said they are not federal employee or Canada post employees. I told him that i need more than one month letters and what i was given is not one month letters. The guy was very aggressive and made personal attack said i am very sad person. I did not respond to him to went to talk to manager at time. Manager told me maybe that is all the letters i should have. I asked her if they can check in the back. She lied to me by saying that her employees cannot go in the back.i told her that i saw her employees going inside from the door which is right behind them. Manager just refused to help me. I started the call with Canada post and i saw that manager was looking at me at laughing at me. At that time i realized not to expect good customer service from employees at this location if the manager is like that.

Had an awesome experience at Shoppers today. We went for flu shots (my wife, son and daughter). My daughter had a mini melt-down about the needle, and one of the pharmacists came in to talk to us. He really normalized her fear, and recommended a few options including a topical lidocaine cream. We took that and came back a while later, when the same pharmacist was about to leave for the day, but wanted to take care of my girl himself, so he bumped us forward in line so he could see us before he left. He was super calming and gentle, and was able to turn a real stressful event into a positive experience. I wish I remembered the guy's name - Middle Eastern man with a bilingual English/Arabic nametag, and an absolute gentleman! Thanks!

They are a very good shoppers in general but the staff in the pharmacy section is very terrible. Every time i go there it's just a new problem every time with my medications, the problem is I ask them after each visit if there is something wrong so i can call the company that covers me to deal with but they always say no unless i ask to speak to a professional.countless times i've been stuck without medication because somebody in the staff does not have a clue what their job is. Anyways other then that it's fine i suppose

Wife hospitalized and I needed immediate antibiotics. As this plcae was the closest place to my home I rushed to this place. They told me drop off the prescription and come back after 2 hour. I did what they told me. When I came back they mentioned there is an issue with my insurance and they cant give the medication to me. As there is date of birth discrepancy on the prescription and insurance profile. I totally understood this but the person who was serving me offered me to return my prescription without giving me the medication even while my wife was suffering from pain.how idiot and how mean a person can be and put me in such a situation.no one ever does this to any human. I could have get the medication and deal my own insurance on my own. I was not there to get the medication free. When I heard this I lost my control and I told them anything I could as I was under so much stress and the person was not trying to understand.very clearly she was was so rude. I would not hire such an idiot in such a important places without understanding a patient or looking into it what if somebody's life is in danger. Finally I had to go to River side location and in less than 5 minute they gave me the medication with kindness and no issue. Hope someone will look into this.
