Hate this pharmacy
We arrived 11: 50 pm and pharmacists denied providing medication. I explained We run from hospital in Newmarket to this location to be sure we arrive before 12 pm.

My daughter were so sick and need medication ASAP.

She said sorry and I indicate thus is for a sick child who has a lot if pain but she said she won’t anything and she does not care all.
WE ARE CLOSED

This is second time We have concerns about their attitude.

They should respect people time snd they have to serve patients even they 5 minutes before closing.

Hi.i here was tonight very bad experience i came tonight 10.15 pm at pharmacy desk over there was one lady on the pharmacy i told her please help me.but she was so rude she say go over there. When I check over there i not found my skin care medication. Than i came back again i polite said please i need your help but she ignored me.than i came to other cashier side and called some came one yonge boy and the boy spends time and he found my skin care cream. The boy was so nice person. But the lady was so rude her pharmacy woman name is BAHAR.itt my very bad experience this location i never come back this location. Because this cream is very important for my wife she was so painful. She was waiting to this cream. But the pharmacy lady not help me thanks the boy he helped me.

Worst Pharmacy with unorganized crew and poor management! They always confirm my medication is ready and when I get there I just find out they are providing me with only one week supply and I have to waste my time and drop by another day. I’m switching to another branch. Won’t go there ever again.

The pharmacy is the WORST I have ever used throughout the GTA! Went there to get my post csection medication. The pharmacist LEGIT YELLED at me that my med requisition was not completed correctly. This is done by a physician, not by the patient, so why was I being yelled at? Also, how unprofessional that they yelled at me at all! I had gone directly from the hospital aftwr having a baby the DAY BEFORE.you would think they would be calm, courteous and helpful! Wow. My husband went back to get my meds and yell at the staffer who treated me so badly as I was in no mood to deal with that. This incident aside, meds take a minimum of 4hours to fill here. Make it make sense to me! HORRIBLE LOCATION!

I always have trouble getting prescription. My Doc faxes prescription to this pharmacy. I go pharmacy. They don't receive prescription. They never receive prescription fax. They fax machine broken. They are garbage.

Worst experience ever at Shoppers! There's one cashier here called Elaine who's rude, unprofessional, racist, and stubborn. No idea why she would give an attitude to my wife for non sense.

I wonder why the store manager would hire such a person without manner and ethics to represent shoppers.

I will give a minus one stat if there's the option!

Terrible customer service in the pharmacy. No one would acknowledge me at the pharmacy counter. 3 people working in the pharmacy and no one would raise their head to acknowledge me. Maybe everyone needs a course on the value of the customer.

Website says no appointment necessary for flu shots and indicates flu shots are in stock. Call to confirm - no one answers but the automated message reaffirms that walk-ins are accepted for flu shots. At the pharmacy, I'm told they can't do walk in right now and they don't even have any shots in stock. Waste of time. One star.

I came 3pm Saturday to get 10 prescription pills. Pharmacist Ben told me they have only 6 pills and I gotta came back for pick up after 1 hour latter, I came back 3 hours latter. Nothing ready the lady over the counter told me.she is rude and don’t know how to speak with customers. She told me to wait 25 min. I give them 0 stars never be back to this location.

Would be great if the pharmacy could pick up the phone once in a while. Only ever been able to successfully get through the pharmacy 1 time. Absolute joke. Tried transferring from my precious pharmacy and pickering and was given the run around and told to get my doctor to fax them. Meanwhile I call my 9ld pharmacy and they say they can request prescriptions between pharmacies, love the fact that someone just didn't want to do any work. Will be taking my business elsewhere and I suggest anyone else who is looking for a serious pharmacy to do the same.

Went there today to purchase a laptop that is on sale for Black Friday. Asked 2 workers who were chatting in the aisle to help me they sent me to the cash desk. Called out to cashier saying hi there she ignored me and walked away. Finally got her she rudely said to me the sale doesn't start until Saturday. The flyer CLEARLY states the sale starts Friday AS IN BLACK FRIDAY. She rudely says to me well do you see it up there (behind the cash) ummm I don't know isn't that your job! Never have I ever encountered such RUDE and IGNORANT behavior in a retail store telling me she is well informed and has been there 31 years. Well, I guess you're not are you.

I don’t typically complain about an negative experience unless it’s really bad. Took my daughter to family doctor, who kindly waited for us @ 8pm in the night. Stopped by Shoppers at Davis and Yonge, in Newmarket. Long story short, dropped prescription off at 9: 02pm. Didn’t get answer when it would be ready, as typical kids antibiotic and blue puffer. So, decided to wait and just shopped around the store for approx 20min, then went to pick up desk. Waited for antler 15min, behind 1 customer as they were trying to figure his prescription.

Finally, lady comes to ask “I can help who’s next” and then she said we are still mixing. I guess they had to mix kids dosage to 200mg child dosage, as the box was 600mg, is what I presume? She takes my benefit card and does her data entry, then disappears. I heard her ask pharmacist to sign off on the mix. We waited just beside the counter, for another 20 min, before asking, and she says it was done, and needed pharmacist to sign off.

I didn’t make a scene, but was fuming inside, as daughter is coughing like a storm, as she patiently waited, over an hour for her medicine. No sympathy or apology, as that would probably be the least to expect. All customers were cleared out, before us as we sat waiting beside the counter, with no direction or
acknowledgement. I will never go to this pharmacy and will just file a complaint to
Head office. I just don’t think this is acceptable. It takes a lot for me to complain, and this would be my first social media complaint. I typically provide positive experiences and feedback, to our canadian businesses.

This experience was a nightmare, especially when my daughter needed to be out of the store, as she coughs every few minutes!

Went in for a flu shot after checking that they were available for walk ins at this location. I was told that walk ins started next week. The following week I walk in after again checking that this pharmacy accepts walk ins currently for the flu shot and again they tell me that I need an appointment. As a healthcare worker with a constantly changing schedule I'm disappointed that shoppers can't figure this out.

Usually great service at this location, but Sunday Nov 21,9: 30 pm I went in for my prescription pickup, and Allison was who looked up my date of birth and provide me my prescription. Once I paid, I mentioned that’s it’s been over a week waiting for the prescribing doctor to respond. Allison’s response was that doctors are busy with routine medications and the onus is on the customer to call 2 weeks ahead of time. And started walking away. I responded that I’d never of need information to call 2 weeks ahead. She just kept walking away with her back to me as to say “we’re done”.
I felt a little confused and mentioned it to my wife when I got home. My wife called the pharmacy to clear this up and make sure what I was told.
Allison spoke to my wife laughed, and was quite rude on the phone and said if we had any issues, “we could take it up with customer service”.
Allison appeared to be young and a very rude individual who doesn’t understand how to deal with customers. Shame.

Every time i come to this pharmacy, not a single person so much as looks at me until convenient for them. Have a simple question for the pharmacist? Wait 10-15 minutes before they come to you. Just really poor customer service at this pharmacy every time I come to pick up a prescription.

It was 11: 47pm, we knew the shoppers closed at 12am, we had just left the hospital after 3.5 hours with my daughter. We needed meds and tried to get them done before the day started the next day. The manager of the store was outside, kept looking at his watch. When getting to the pharmacy I was greeted by Mio, I asked him if there was a certain flavour of medication as it’s easier for my daughter to take, however Mio said he didn’t know.you are the pharmacist how do you not know? So I took the chance as it already was a long day/night and of course wrong flavour. Not impressed but not much I could do at this point. Overall I appreciate getting the meds before they closed but the attitude and demeanour of Mio the pharmacist was not needed. Maybe he can figure out what meds and flavours he has on hand to make things a bit easier.

Well stocked and clean store. Pharmacy is also efficient, and I was able to get my prescription within 20 minutes of dropping it off. Honestly, you should just ignore the people crying about having to wait in line for their prescription as if they are the most important people in the world. For every person in line, there are like 10 faxed prescriptions that come in, and even more doctors calls that need to be made for every prescription to be verified. Chill out and be patient jesus.

My husband bought to me valentine day gift but I did not like to scent so I came to store for return but my husband bought it from 1111 Davis Dr, Newmarket, ON. When he bought that fragrance he asked gift receipt and cashier made a mistake and she first return the item to gift card and than gave to gift reciept from there. But I purchased this with my debit card. So when i was trying to return at 20 Davis drive Newmarket branch cashier told me i can not return this product because i purchase this with a gift card but i did not my understand that was a mistake lady’s which was from 1111 davis dr. Shopers drug cashier.so top of all that, cashier from 20 davis dr. Was so disappointed and she returned /loaded my fund to Shoppers gift card!
I couldn’t get my money back! She did not try to help me at all. She hurts my feeling and my respect to Shoppers drug market. I am writing this email because i want her to warn some how that is not professional. I was doing all my shopping (except grocery) from shoppers. But i think i will go somewhere else after now.

I came running into this shoppers drug mart, late at night 2400hrs to be exact and this wonderful pharmacist named MIO saved the day! I was in distress and dire pain, due to my shingles on the Lside of my abdomen. He kept the store open for me to fulfill my prescription (I just waited 2 hrs in emerge uhggggg) He was very understanding and such a sweetheart to help me so late, when he should have been on his way home, after wrking a 12hr non-stop shift! God bless him. I rate this shoppers drug mart 5/5 on every aspect possible! Thanks very much MIO you are the best buddy! I am very disappointed in the pharmacist that served me today. I was standing in the pick up line (3rd in line) for prescriptions and was singled out by Mio the pharmacist asking if I had submitted my prescription -I let him know my doctor had faxed it in earlier in the day. Not two minutes later he singled me out again and asked the same question. When I got to the counter he asked for my date of birth instead of my name. I found him to be rude and abrupt.

Had a prescription sent to the pharmacy and doctor sent us a confirmation.
Four hours later, we went to pick up and they couldn’t find it so we called the doctor to confirm the location.
While the doc’s office was looking it up to confirm, the pharmacist’s assistant told us that she just received it. Like magic. 30 minutes wasted because they don’t check incoming orders.
Otherwise, this store is clean. A little under stocked but clean.

Despite visiting during peak hours when the pharmacy was very busy, the pharmacist Mio went out of his way to provide education and took the time to answer all of my questions. Beautiful clean store and friendly staff! My preferred pharmacy to stop at when I am driving home.

This is probably the worst service of all the Shoppers Drug Matrs we had to deal with over the years.

My husband called in for a refill and at some point was notified that his prescription is ready to be picked up. On that day, after we got the notification, I went to pick it up and when I got there I was told that it's not ready and I would have to wait for it for almost an hour.

Latest incident was with my son's meds. I was at the pharmacy almost two weeks ago with a prescription for 8 pre-filled syringes (it has 5o be pre-filled as I am not a nurse and need a ready to use version).

They charged me for all 8 giving me 2. I called them about a week before the next shot asking to get more of the meds. They said that there is none, that there is shortage of this medication and they cannot get it and if I want it I would have to call other Shoppers Drug Marts myself.

So, I called about half a dozen of them before got to somebody who was willing and new how to help. With no special effort they were able to order it for me with next-day pick up.

This pharmacy is notably further from our house but considering level of incompetency and absence of desire to help at 20 Davis Drug Mart I don't mind the drive.

I hadn’t been here in awhile due to a previous incident with a male pharmacist (didn’t catch his name) where he stated very loudly and very sternly in front of other customers asking what kind of parent I was because I didn’t know my daughters exact weight for a prescription. I hadn’t been there since, until now.
Given everything that’s going on right now you would think of all people a “health professional” would respect PHYSICAL DISTANCING. I was looking at allergy medications when this same pharmacist walked up behind me quickly and without saying so much as “excuse me” to me, with only about a foot between us, reached to point to different items in front of my face to another customer!
I didn’t say anything and waited a couple seconds before moving away myself and standing there waiting. Completely rude and blantantly disrespectful. Will definitely not be going back again.

Echoing the sentiments of previous reviewers - the store is nice enough but the pharmacy manager is flat out rude. The girls working with him are doing their best, but he is a generally unpleasant man who seems not to grasp the "customer service" part of his position.

I received a generous gift on Christmas, a gift card for Best Buy from this location. However when I attempted to make a purchase with said gift card the cashier there told me the card was not activated. They could do nothing about it there and I was told I'd have to return to the store it was originally purchased from.

Upon arrival at the Original Shoppers where the gift card was purchased. I was told they could do absolutely nothing and would have to contact customer service. Waste of time and it makes no sense to me as to how they cannot resolve the issue in-store.

After calling customer service and spending almost half an hour on hold. I was told that they could do NOTHING as well. I would have to send pictures of the card to a third party to be investigated which could take days. Meaning I'll miss out on any Boxing Day deals.

Total waste of time and a totally asinine process to have a gift card issue amended, a total joke. What should of been a simple transaction has turned into a quest for me to not have a 100 dollar gift become completely useless.

This has left an awful taste in my mouth and I'll never be purchasing anything from Shoppers Drug Mart again. Their prices are extremely high anyway, this provided further justification to forget about them altogether.

Always an extremely long wait for prescriptions, with little to no customer service acknowledging the people waiting with a smile or letting them know it will be longer than anticipated. I have my medication filled elsewhere now.

Recent issue: I asked them to request a refill of 10 pills because I have a doctors appointment next week and plan to change to a different drug. They requested 45 pills and filled it. So now I wasted my benefits and will have to throw away 35 pills. Will be switching all my prescriptions to Costco after i see my doctor.

Original issue: Just started getting my prescriptions here, and they took it upon themselves to charge my fiancee's brand name prescription to generic brand and did not even ask or tell us. Our benefits cover the brand name, so when i went back to confront them they said it was my fault for not informing them that we only want brand name. No other pharmacy in my life has subsituted a medication without calling or asking me first. Very unprofessional and frankly scary.

Been waiting for well over an hour to have a flu shot and still nothing.

They say they are busy. Hmm 8 people have come to the counter. Not really sure what they are busy with with two staff behind the counter.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I’ve ever had the displeasure of being a customer of.
After moving to Newmarket from Aurora, my husband and I moved our prescriptions to this pharmacy as it is the closest pharmacy which is open late. With our work life we needed a pharmacy with late hours. We had been going to the Yonge and Aurora Heights Shoppers for over 2 years and had never once had any issue with our prescriptions or with the staff so we assumed we could expect the same experience from another shoppers. Well, we were very wrong. I’ve never witnessed such poor communication and hostility from a place of expected professionalism. From the first call I had ever made and spoken to an older Russian gentleman who you could hear the annoyance in his voice when he took my call— to our refill tonight. From the beginning, they had mistakenly released my medication incorrectly since I have 2 different strengths of the same medication and have had my doctor clarify to them so they could rectify the issue which has still gone unresolved but I have given up trying to waste my breath explaining and justifying to these people so I have just accepted the way they have my refills dispensed. Which is about 2.5 weeks apart. I have never once had one pleasant encounter with this pharmacy from February when we moved to Newmarket I had reached a point where I just end up refilling at my old pharmacy who had my prescription as well and I would prefer to take the drive out of my way just to avoid dealing with Yonge and Davis. Well, my refills have ended at aurora heights and since my doctor is on maternity leave without a replacement, I now have no other option but to continue to use this place.
The staff is ridiculously judgemental, incoherent and I have not met one member of this team who has shown any sort of respect or pride in their positions. When we moved, I never would have expected a pharmacy could cause me so much aggravation.

As mentioned before, I’ve just accepted the way they operate for lack of option at this point but tonight was the last encounter I could endure. After calling in to refill my prescription at 5: 00PM and being assured it would be ready in an hour, I had my husband stop in to pick it up around 8: 00PM. When my husband arrived, they denied my prescription because they had been prompted that I had refilled this medication at a completely separate pharmacy (that has no affiliation to shoppers) already and we’re implying that I had been attempting to double my prescription by refilling it at different pharmacies. As I said before, I had refills left at my old pharmacy which I used and had to return to Yonge and Davis as they have current refills. The medication I have is not transferable pharmacy to pharmacy without a doctors prescription. There was no way for me to fill this medication at a pharmacy who had never been provided a prescription for the medication. This aside, I think I was more outraged by the fact that they didn’t have the common decency to contact me and notify me of this discrepancy which I would have been willing to discuss and resolve well before I asked my husband to make a “quick”
stop to pick it up for me. Instead they chose to wait for us to show up and proceed to waste over 40 minutes at the counter disputing their “findings” all which could have been resolved in a simple phone call. After I had admittedly lost my temper and repeatedly explained that there was no possible way for me to fill this prescription at the pharmacy they claimed I had. They ended up filling my prescription. No apology for the miscommunication/mistake which I can understand happens as we all make mistakes, we are all human.

I am utterly disappointed and repulsed by this repeated lack of at minimum, mediocre customer service and am even more frustrated with the fact that I cannot transfer my prescriptions elsewhere.

I would never transferred to this location if I would have taken the time to read the reviews by other customers.

Writing this about my experience in the Beauty Boutique - Alicia was the "beauty consultant".

I walked in, no make up, late night, asking for cheap foundation. Alicia grabbed some samples of the requested product and put me in front of a mirror and walked away to sample the foundation myself. I was totally shocked and appalled by the lack of enthusiasm, or desire to help a customer. Now (not that I need to explain myself) I usually buy Estee Lauder, but I heard great things about a Maybelline and because it's summer and I didn't feel like spending $60 on foundation i'll use for a short time.

Price shouldn't reflect quality of service, and I'm totally shocked at her distasteful attitude towards a customer! I work in retail myself, I sell cars, I treat all my customers with the same respect regardless of how much they're spending. I think she needs to re-evaluate her career choice, temporary or not.
