Common prescription took 6 hours to fill. And cost more than other pharmacies. 2.5x more than Costco. Only went here because its right beside work. Won’t be coming back.

Staff were nice though.

Cashier only check out when paying cash, and refuse check out when paying by card. That’s a moral problem.

The renovation they have done here is really nice.

Too many self serve cash registers.

They have grocery items here such as fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Not the highest quality but it's alright.

Cashiers need more training. They have no clue what to do when there's a price discrepancy between the listed and scanned prices.

I have been shopping at this location for many years without ever having an unpleasant experience until now. Recently, a friend bought me a fragrance which I found wasn't suitable for me after trying it out. When I attempted to return it at cosmetic section, a gentleman whose name I won't disclose in here, told me I couldn't because I had opened the plastic cover. I wasn't aware of this policy, and neither was my friend when they purchased it. The employee started lecturing me about trying samples before buying, claiming that it's common sense. I explained that it was a gift, and his statement couldn't be applied to every situation. I already felt uncomfortable at this point, but the supervisor advised me to speak to the manager the next day, which I agreed to do. However, upon reading the return policy, I couldn't find any mention of the plastic cover, so I raised my concern with the employee. He immediately became impatient and started raising his voice, telling me not to talk to him. I asked him to calm down and all I wants to know is the answer.but he continued to yell at me, rolling his eyes and making me feel disrespected. Im so confused, I ask him what did I do to deserve his horrible attitude like this? But he claimed that I was yelling at him and rolling my eyes, WHICH I WAS NOT! HOW CAN HE JUST LIE LIKE THIS IN FRONT OF MY FACE? He said that they were closing soon, and I should leave.from the beginning he kept interrupting me and talking over me. I left the store feeling angry and upset. The way he behaved was unacceptable and disgusting, and I wonder if this is how they train their staff on customer service. I refuse to let this go, and I will submit a formal complaint against this employee whether the company will take it seriously or not. Appropriate action must be taken, as no one should be treated this way.

I went online to see where the vaccine was available. I arrived to this location and before even checking if they had the vaccine available the 3 women behind the counter all told me they can’t do it because of the time. I was 5 minutes late as the last appointment was 8: 40. They were absolutely useless. Wasted my time going there. There was no one else in front of me, they had the time to do it but chose not to. I felt extremely discriminated against. Absolutely disgusting customer service! Do not go to this pharmacy. LAZY USELESS STAFF! She tells me we probably don’t have that specific vaccine yet doesn’t even check! Horrible horrible people! They claim they don’t take walk ins yet it clearly states this location accepts walk ins online. False advertising. Why waste people’s time.

The pharmacy is very aweful, always wait for a long time, often needs to go to the store several times for one pick-up because the medicines are not available as they said, very difficult and ruthless to negotiate.

Pharmacy Review:

Save yourself some precious time and mental drain - this pharmacy is a disaster from all aspects.

Redirect/transfer your prescriptions elsewhere and do yourself a favor. If absolutely necessary and in dire need:

1. Be prepared to "wait 30 minutes at the pharmacy" for simple prescription fills. This is a common statement to hear from their staff. Everyone gets "30 minutes"

2. Also, highly likely that they do not have a lot of common prescription drugs. They will "try and ask other nearby pharmacies and get back to you"

3. Grossly understaffed.

4. Don't try calling. Chances are greater that your phone will NEVER be picked up.

Feedback based on 3-4 recent attempts to get a prescription filled here. Definitely not going again. Lessons learnt and moved on to much better and efficient pharmacies nearby in the area.

"Expect the unexpected"

I wanted to purchase a piece of jewelry that was 50% off. The cashier could not do that and the cash supervisor was really useless and said she had no way of doing that. If this company does not honor what it promises shoppers, then it is better to change its name from shoppers drug mart into messy drug mart.

The pharmacists and the staff are very helpful. However; ever since there has been a change in ownership (about the beginning of the pandemic) the management has brought down the service quality drastically.
The majority of the staff are still the same as before, so the huge decline in the quality of their service must be due to the new owner.

I used to get my girlfriends blister pack, once per month, these guys have changed it to weekly instead and when we asked for delivery, four weeks in a row they didn’t deliver. When we go there to pick up our meds, we asked about it, surprisingly, it was not fault of the person I was speaking with, and they couldn’t be sure who’s fault it was either.
The lack of accountability was infuriating.

Edit: I have added a star and this edit here to my review, after my experience with the night shift pharmacist by the name of Reem, on Feb/16th/2023 at about 2: 00 am. Her professionalism, patience and diligence, has made me to improve my opinion in regards to this location.

Don’t bother dropping off your medication here if you are planning on using then the same day. One of the worst locations. My daugther’s prescription was faxed by her doctor at 6pm. We called the pharmacist at 8pm to find out if it was ready for pick up. She told us no. They are busy and to come at midnight. My daugther woke me up to take her to get her medicine. We arrived and medicine was still not ready, no one was at the desk and the pharmacist put her order together in front us. We still had to wait another 15 mins to get it. What a joke.

Service at the pharmacy was so bad that I finally moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy in the area.

Do not fill your prescriptions here. Pharmacy staff did not notify me they didn't have the drug until hours after I dropped off the prescription. They said they would transfer it to another location urgently, but didn't do it until I went to the other location who had received nothing and made some confused phone calls.

Poor service, poor service, poor service. Go elsewhere. This location is not worth a fraction of the dispensing fees they charge.

I have been to the pharmacy a few times and have always had good experience. Once on an early morning weekend, they seemed short-staffed, however, the pharmacist, Maryam, managed to get me my prescription medication very efficiently. A+

Much Slower than average shoppers location!

On Jan 24,2023 went to get a medication which was prescribed for my husband who was vomiting for two days. I waited for 40 mins to get the med while my husband was struggling in the car, my infants waiting for me to feed her. The pharmacist assistant gave the med and asked me if I have any question otherwise I could go, and I had so she sent me to The pharmacist. Pharmacist opened the med to answer my question when she realized the med is given by mistake. It was oral while the prescription was sublingual (cuz my husband couldn’t take anything oral). She acted so cool, told her assistant what happened and said “it’s ok, the route of med was in a small bracket and easy to miss”. Didn’t apologize. Acted like nothing happened and I had to wait another 15-20 mints. After My complain she said it’s the same med and no error happened. She forgot the “Rights” to give med includes the “right route” otherwise it can be harmful and useless.
Always check your med with the prescription. Don’t trust this pharmacy.

I used this pharmacy for nine years. However, its unlikely that I will go again. It’s a mess. Whenever I receive a text message letting me know that my medication is ready, I have to wait because it isn't. I am so disappointed with the staff that I won't be going again. Even the female pharmacist gets annoyed with the customer. The customer service is lacking, in my opinion. Such a disappointment considering I've been using this pharmacy for nine years.

How to be a bad Pharmacy
(or how not to trust them)
Today, my wife needed a special eye drops to remedy her eye pain after her operation as her Doctor Prescribed it.
Sure enough she painfully directed her steps to our neighbourhood BIG Pharmacy.
Yesterday afternoon she dropped at the counter and was firmly told that “it would be ready in three hours”
Four hours passed and she received the sad news that it was not ready, worse that that it was the news that they did not have it and did not care to advise their customer about it.
A day after she was sent to another pharmacy further away where she finally curtly was told that she had to fill quite a few papers as a new customer …
One more hour elapsed and she got it.

Came in for a walk-in flu shot (clearly stated on their site they accept walk-ins 12 pm - 3 pm), but was turned away and told they do not accept walk-ins.

The location is good, and they provide you with 1-hour free parking even in the busy Yonge-Finch area, but aside from that, it’s all downside, especially the customer service. I don’t know what’s up with the staff at this location, but they provide exceptionally bad service. Make sure to go here only when you know what you need and will be in and out using Self Check-out.

There is cashier at the checkout who is just horrible and rude. She acted like she wanted to fight over a very silly thing. I felt really really insulted. She needs to learn some manners.

Rude staff, terrible service, asked for help in the men's perfume session, I didn't get no help and I was insulted. I would like to discuss this with someone in charge about the person and my experience. Do you guys pay the staff to insult customers and do no service at all.

Very disappointed with customer service at this location.
I was misinformed that i had to wait for at least 2 hours or next day for my prescription.
Received the text message in 30 minutes that my prescription was ready to pick up.
I told them that they should be more precisely telling their customer for waiting period time.

The Chinese lady who looked like pharmacist said that I am the only one here tonight and you are lucky to get your medicine.

I was just there to pick up my prescription (September 25, around 7: 45 PM to 8: 00PM). The man at the pickup counter was so rude it was surprising. There were two other women working and Sally was super helpful and kind. I don't know what his problem is but I had issues with him before. Last time, I went to get my prescription transferred from another Shoppers pharmacy and he was unbelievably impatient and had such an aggressive energy. There wasn't even anyone else at the pharmacy and I was being very polite (because I didn't want him to get even more annoyed at me). "Do you not understand? " And "Do you not remember? " seems to be his favorite questions because he asked me that both times I interacted with him. I wasn't taking up too much of his time, I was being polite, but he just seems to have impatience and annoyance oozing out of his pores. This time around he couldn't be bothered to wait a couple of seconds for me to think about his questions before assuming that I didn't remember or understand what he was asking and tossed me to the consulting Pharmacist to deal with. There was no line up for pick up and this interaction lasted maybe a minute. Literally, I don't see a reason why he would be so impatient and rude. I saw him at the pick up counter and I almost decided not to pick up my meds today because I didn't want him to ruin my night, and he did not disappoint. Now I'm just wondering if he's like that with everyone or if he specifically has an issue with certain people? I just don't understand how someone could act so unprofessionally at a workplace.

The pharmacy is so inefficient and useless, just 1 bottle of Amox, they told me the wait time is around 2 hours but actually took them 5 hours to finish it and 20 mins to find my medicine when I showed up. Get a better management and smarter stuff pls

Writing this review since I've had bad experience not once but twice. Today I was using the self checkout and as I was scanning my items, one of the staff walked by and told me I need to add bags to my cart. I pointed at my backpack and said "I have my own bags".
I finished checking out, pulled out a PC optimum bag from my backpack and started packing my things. The same staff walks to me (leaving the customer at her counter) yelling "Excuse me miss, you have to pay for the bags, it's not free".
The people in her queue look at me to see who the $0.05 bag theif is. I was kinda surprised and agitated at the same time.
I replied, "I know, I brought this from home"
And the staff says "oh " in a tone of disbelief and goes back to attend her customer.
I was disappointed with the way they treat their customers.
The only reason I go there is because the location is convenient. I'd rather walk extra to a different store.

When I was trying to get a presto student discount, the cashier rushed me because a line was forming and there wasn't another cashier but a kid was playing there instead. I was also gonna get an pc optimum but she literally started getting things from the customers behind me checked.

This stores location is convenient, you can usually find someone to help. Pharmacy is absolutely brutal. Phone rings and rings and never any answer. You go and wait and wait and wait some more. I've switched pharmacies after the last round.

The pharmacy ‘ladies’ are VERY rude and unconcerned about the clients. Even to the top of causing me extreme anxiety! There was no pharmacy manager available and the ‘acting manager’ was aloof to my well being.

Show some kind of humanity when you are working with the ailing public! Seriously

My local Shoppers and one that I come quite frequently. So I'm well aware of the nice staff here and the fact that the pharmacy is well-run and quite efficient. I'm not too big of a fan of the very limited parking spaces in the back for Shoppers.uh.shoppers. Though I suppose it is nice that at least we get some spots in what is otherwise a paid parking lot. The Shoppers also has a Canada Post outlet inside so it's a nice one-stop shop.

This store has definitely gone downhill. Now, lining up for 20 minutes to pick up/drop off a prescription seems to be the norm. Doing groceries on a weekend morning? No point as most shelves are bare. Overheard employees talking on Sunday morning that there were only two people stocking overnight, hence the issue. Really needs to have staffing onsite to make this store what it could be.

For real? The cashier sitting inside the counter (beside the self check out), ask her for help, and she pretend she doesn't understand what you are asking. Then start picking up the phone keep chatting to pretend there is no customers.

Shoppers Drug Mart, 5095 Young St! Terrible service! Especially wanted to point out the professional negligence of pharmacy assistants. I have been with this pharmacy for the last few years, but today I decided to transfer all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy due to the unprofessionalism and rude attitude of a few pharmacy assistants.

This is the worst shoppers location that i have ever been.the stuff are too rude and disrespectful.disorganized shelf and no body help you there … you have to all the time look for somebody to help and finally if you find theye will be very rude and impolite… disappoined alot

Everyday this pharmacy gets worse. There's at least 5 people behind the counter and one at the counter delivering medication. The line up for pick up is about 10 min, and they're taking over a day to fill the prescription. Definitely switching over to some other pharmacy.

Not the best location but they have good facilities here. The products are always in store and they have good service at this store.

I had a surgery and I discharged on Sunday so the hospital pharmacy was closed. My nurse called this branch as the closest to our home. They said that they have my prescription including one of the important post-op medication. Guess what, at Sunday night when my wife went there, they said they don't and they have to order it! I called and they said it would be here tomorrow morning. Guess again, Monday night they said the same thing! We need to order it and we are not sure if we can have it! I could not believe it! I will try tomorrow again but the worst part is, going back to hospital, convincing them that it is not your fault and you didn't get your prescription.

Rude staffs with very bad attitude even early in the morning (9 am), long line-ups, inefficient process! I don't recommend this branch.

I wanted to get my flue shot here, after checking and waiting for 2 hours had to walk out since the pharmacist was racist and calling Asian people only even though I got there earlier!

Unbelievable customer service, truly astonishing how little the pharmacy members care for their patients. And there has not been a single time where ive called their pharmacy and havent been put on hold for more than 40 minutes.

This location is accessible plus the parking lot on the back is really nice being on the Yonge street. They’re always in stock and the pharmacists are helpful too.

Laziest pharmacy ever! I tried to book a second dose but couldn't find anything on how to book it online. I called this location and the guy on the phone said "www pharmacyinquiries"? Even though it sounds dumb I gave it a try and it led me nowhere. Tired of this pharmacy being one of the worst I've ever been to.

This place is the worst Shoppers drog market for getting the vaccination. They tell you it takes one hour to get your vaccination but takes more than 2 hours. People stay in line for a long time, no one take the responsibility why tge line is such a mess. Management is AWEFUL!

The pharmacy is not worth to go to. I don’t know about their morning shifts, I’ve been there several times in afternoons and it’s definitely understaffed! When I came to write this review I saw others mentioning this issue weeks ago but it hasn’t been solved! The staff are actually nice and doing their job well, but there was a long line and long wait time every single time I visited this branch. This is not ethical for a pharmacy store!

Pharmacy doesn't have enough staff. Ever. Before COVID it was the same problem. Parking is poor, it's not free, and the lot is not well maintained.big pot holes, broken glass is typical. I transferred my prescriptions.

The staff at the Post Office are very unprofessional and rude - The older guy told me to take back my package and return when there's nothing for them to do "extra", the "extra" refers to me asking them to tape a small box. I had to purchase a whole roll of tape because they wouldn't bother dispensing any, but they sure pack on the attitude. Absolutely terrible customer service.

This has been a horrible experience just getting my medication. I was here when they faxed it in an have been waiting over 50mins to have them fill it. When we were the OLNY people there! They people that came in behind us even got there medication before us.

This review is specific for their pharmacy, as our experience with the store in general is good. Even the pharmacy used to be better in the past. We went there for filling a medication and the service is low class. One highlight is the one of the pharmacists (for identification purposes, young Asian female in her twenties) who after wasting half an hour of our time for her to investigate details about our child's medication, before dispensing it, said that she cannot do that, with a smirk and a very condescending demeanor. She claimed that there is confusion in the information provided, which we are not responsible for in the first place. I have been a shoppers customer for over a decade with literally millions of points accumulated/spent on my Points card, and this pharmacist was one of the bad examples I have seen there.

Never ever drop your prescription as they need 1 full day to prepare one pill in your prescription. It’s very ridiculous ; I dropped my prescription and came back in 2 hours waiting in pick up line for 10 min and they are saying it’s not ready for pick up! This is the worst location of shoppers.

I visited today, July 19th around 12: 40am, there was a Filipino cashier and I was waiting for the checkout.

There were two Filipino customers in front of me, buying a lot of food and doing the checkout. The cashier served customers well, speaking their language.

However, I was waiting to check out a small bottle of milk, and to save time, I asked the staff if I could also pay for self-check-out as cash, the cashier looked at me and CUT OFF my words while I was still talking and said No very rudely.

It was truly the worst I've ever experienced in Shoppers. I couldn't understand how she did customer service to customer.

I vowed not to go to the Shoppers in this location today. She must be aware of this problem and reflect on it.

I will never visit this place again while she continues to work at this location. Me and my girlfriend were really disappointed and angry with her behavior.

I hope to get a solution to this problem soon.

The pharmacy is terrible. They made me return 3 times before giving me my medication. Very disorganized.

Very expensive store. Wanted to buy some vitamins and shampoo for myself and it turned out that Amazon is much cheaper than shoppers. I saved 15 dollars with buying from Amazon.

The worst pharmacy ever. Got a text that the prescription is ready and still waited for 30 minutes in line to talk to them, and then waited anther 30 minutes. So after 1 HOUR, they asked us to go back to the end of the long line to pickup the prescription which I got a text that "It's ready to pickup" and have waited for an hour in the line.

Indian/Sri Lankan lady working as a cashier should be fired for her socially incompetent behaviour. Always driving the customer crazy by complaining and whining all the time about everything. Literally, when you line up and just have to pay for an item, she's got a "mouth full of excuses, whining and complaining. "

Indian/Sri Lankan Lady with black hair. Works there in the evenings. Should be fired on the spot in my opinion for her incompetent customer service behaviour.

This Shoppers fails to deliver. Basic items like eggs and paper towels are consistently out of stock even though the supply chain issues have been largely resolved at other grocery stores, including other Shoppers locations. The pharmacy also tends to have a long line, despite 2-3 pharmacy assistants on the floor. As a result, there's a blob of unhappy, semi socially distanced people gathered around the counter, making it hard for other customers to purchase items towards back of the store. The cosmetics section also has a sales rep trailing you, telling you what you can and cannot touch according to their new rules. Overall, a very uncomfortable and unfruitful shopping experience.

1 star for customer experience. I went to the Canada Post today to verify my identity for a new bank account I opened so I had to bring a government issued ID and proof of residence so I brought an official academic document (I am a student), and my driver's licence. The guy at the counter (middle aged), was very rude and dismissive. He barely looked at my document and said, "Sorry I can't help you, you need to show me something with your address. " like I was in the wrong and that I was wasting his time. When BOTH of those items I brought had my address on it. It was very rude but also annoying to me that he didn't even have the competency to check and realize that a driver's licence indeeds shows proof of residency and indeed verifies my identity. I also wanted to make two returns to Amazon (I needed two separate packages and packing shipping slips, and he wasn't very helpful there either, in fact, he addressed the next customer when he was still serving (badly) me). Honestly, worst customer service I've received in a long time from anywhere. I don't leave reviews like this usually, but this is problematic. I see others with similar reviews so I know this isn't a solitary issue. This staff's demeanor was unpleasant overall. He seemed like either he hated his job or had a bad day, but this kind of customer service is unacceptable. I would have spoken to the manager but I was on my way to a dinner. For reference, it was the man at the counter working on Feb 28/2020 just before 6pm.

P. S. Shoppers Drug Mart management, if you really care about the efficacy and care of your staff, you would monitor these people and give them either a judicial warning about their job because it is one thing to be lazy and bad at the job, it is another to be rude to a customer. Stop with the canned responses and be more sincere if you want to keep your customers. This location has been written off.

I like this shoppers, location is so good.
But it was such bad experience.

Deserves 0. Medications always not stocked, baby formula always sold out. Un informed staff. Horrible in every sense.should bot be called a pharmacy, more like bad convenience store that has horrible mark up, if you are going to be so overpriced at least be stocked. You have 3 tubes of antibiotic cream available, the gas station has more. You are terrible and have lost my business.

Went to the cashiers to take my passoport photo as guided. Cashier were extremly rude and even tried to humiliate me because i asked where I could take the photo. Did I know it was actually her to take the photo? Then she said " it has been closed all day. You want to make all people to wait and have me to take your photo? What a place and experience.

Good location to grocery shopping. Plus, this one has verious cosmetics that I can choose different brands in good quality. I always prepare my close friends’ gifts.

Pharmacy works at an extremely slow pace, especially when someone calls in sick. Shouldn’t they have protocols to deal with absence issues? That’s very unprofessional for such a large company as Shoppers Drug Mart.shameful.

Pharmacy owner seem a professional and compassionate individual but the staff aren't.they are slow, rude and unprofessional.they turn me off big and i would't even feel like purchasing general items here.

Majority of the cashiers are RUDE with exception of a couple. But the RUDE ones make shopping in there unpleasant. It's not the always long line ups that bother me because it is a busy location but the fact that the cashiers are RUDE. If you bring your own bag learn to bag it yourself. They will not do it and apparently you have to ask them politely if you want them to. That is ridiculous because if your bag is on the counter they should know automatically.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Shoppers Drug Mart, it's one of the biggest I have seen has a little of everything, including fruits have you ever seen fruits in a Shoppers Drug Mart? This one has fruits a Post office, Pharmacy, Beauty Center area large shelves full of stuff to choose from.

Located at the major intersection of Yonge and Finch the store seems to be small from the outside but when you enter the store you'll be pleasantly surprised to see how big it is inside, parking is available just around the corner of the building.

On my way to check out, cashier's was on duty I then cashed my items out then realize that I could have used my points I then decided to use 10,000 points the cashier was very helpful and she even advised me about the points system and PC Financial points how to get extra points etc.which I had already known, but nevertheless it was good to know that she was trying to advise customers, I capture her name as Karima from her name tag.

I decided that this store is nothing less than a 4-star however given all the factors put together, including that the store is a 24-hour operation (Open 24hrs) Store as such I've decided that I will award the store 5 Stars.

Good shoppers with most of the things you need. One of the good shoppers in the GTA. Customer service is good and their prices are fair and just. I love how well they are organized and staff is well managed and have good work ethics. The only reason why I dont give a full 5 star is because it is not the largest shoppers around but decently sized.

Post office is the worst! Slow and there are always lines. Wish I could change where I pick up parcels.

I went to shoppers drug mart at yunge and finch around 3am for baby formula and medicine.a lady cashier pages their supervisor to check the items in.the stock room.a supervisor responded very quick and she was so friendly, nice and very patient and she also help me some items that i couldn't find it she located exactly where are the products knowing working overnight is not easy but look easy for them because they have teamwork some are busy arranging every isle one cleaning and putting baskets at the entrance.i forgot to got their names but i salute you guys and your supervisor who works so hard she a nice person/ working with respect to her co workers.keep it up guys.

Conveniently located. Selection is small, but so is the building. All basic necessities plus a huge variety of cold beverages is available, from a large number of countries. Most items are a little more expensive than you’d find at a large grocery store, but it is not excessive and the location’s convenience pays off.
