Sorry I also posted under Rebecca Okyere-Darkoh just wanted to complete my review. However any folks taking time sensitive medication please be persistent with these folks advocate for yourself. I often get worried about being rude however you can be tactful and push. I have honestly never had a pharmacy/shoppers experience like this and I was raised in Toronto before I moved to Peterborough for a few years being back is already nerve-racking enough I wish this didn't put a sour taste in my mouth. I legit never put reviews on a site but feel its important that other folks possibly in the same boat are aware of their options. I just want to get my meds so I can pick another location tbh.

I’ve been to this location many times since I’ve moved to this area, I purchase cosmetics, food items or get my prescription from this location. I’ve never really had a bad experience here. But this Friday that passed by I experienced my very first racially targeted experience for an employee named Denuja she was working evening/night before close. I had asked her for help her opinion on they type of eye shadow base that was most purchased. She told me to use “NYX” because alot of black girls that look like me buy this one? Ok. I didn’t say anything, I seen another brand I recognized and went with it told her. As I was proceding to grab the rest of my things she grabbed the eye shadow from me and said she has to hold onto it. I didn’t want no issues so I said whatever, I’ll grab it from the front. I meet her at the front cashier to see if I could find a portable charger & there was no luck. So I said I’ll take these items and cash out. So I take my item and I go to self checkout she’s telling me which one to use because she needs to key in a code for make up which is a lie because I’ve brought makeup many times big and small items. I make it known to her I know how to self checkout and I don’t need her help. So I scan the item before she can put in her bogus code and to both our surprise there was no code needed. I feel she was down my back because of my colour and in-fact she thought I wanted to steal a $10 item because of the way I look? This experience was so embarrassing, humiliating, however I know this was definitely racially influenced. Shoppers if you are going to hire people please screen them well because if Denuja did this to the wrong person who knows what they could have said or done to her it wasn’t a pleasant experience and now I’m hesitant to come back because of how I maybe treated.

I like going to this place only on weekends, because they’ve some specials like “ 2 DAY SALE”. However, You can go there for cheap eggs, and some other stuff just for the weekends not other days. Their Customer service not that good (unprofessionalism), although the Customer service of Canadian-post in it is excellent.

Even though we had an appointment, the wait for a vaccine is at least an hour. Horrible service. Why take so many appointments if they can’t handle it. The pharmacy is so crowded that people are standing around and there’s no where to sit. Get your act together pharmacy!

It's honestly really really said on how the shoppers here is forcing people to use the self checkout even if they have a disability, so is paranoid about literally the most highly touch surface, and I literally have to stand my ground, protect our rights, and almost need to yell to be heard,

According to shoppers drug mart head office the self checkout thing is to avoid customers paying face to face, but customers can opt out to actually choose the cashier area to checkout,

This is coming from the upper management of 1-800-SHOPPERS, which I have on email, management at this location is also gonna have a talking to from head office as well,

So please, don't tell me to phone the same number I've been seeing to everyone else as a response, I have PTSD, paranoia, anxiety, and other medical issues, unnecessary issues like this shouldn't be happening,

With the Ontario vaccine passport coming to a end soon as well I hope that staff at this location starts to realize how stupid it is to force customers to go through this, period

I dislike this store, more security than cashiers, TERRIBLE experience and, if this is the best Shopper's ownership can do, then close the store and I'll shop elsewhere. Shopper's used to be about the customers, now it's about communism. I hate it.

Great pharmacy and staff. The shoppers isn't the biggest store but it has the essentials. Theres also a Canada Post in the building!

Maree is by far soo great. Best employee. She was amazing in assisting me late last night. The 2nd time I've interacted with her amazingness. She is the reason why I returned today! However, the rep working tonight at beauty section is thee worst! Disrespectful and unwilling to help or give any good info!

I work in the area for years all always pick my pescriptions at this location, customer service is horrible all the time I struggle for a pescription pick up, they take their sweet time and rude when you need to call really disappointed I will be transferring my pescription somewhere else.

Definitely better pharmacies to go to in the area. If you’re picking up your medication on the way to work, find another place. They don’t care, as they’re already at work. Their inability to keep stock of essential medication cost my entire career, physical/mental health and put other people at risk (Pre COVID). Not a joke, basically malpractice that extends to the corporate level and federal government. I would leave it at 1 star, but the rest of the store is usually pretty cool, with decent prices. I can assure whomever responded that you probably don’t understand my disappointment.

I left my number to call me back to get my meds at 10 00am now its 500pm so I called them the lady said that's 3 med yes their ready I guess leaving your number is for nothing thank you much laying down all day in pain then she said we were so busy WHAT KIND OF EXCUSE IS THAT IT LIKE SAYING TO BAD.

Worst shoppers drug mart ever. We went to pay and the lady didn’t even say hi. She just asked “cash or credit”. We said credit and she pushed us along to self checkout and she started scanning the items herself. Wait. If it’s called self checkout why was she scanning the items? Anyway when I went to scan my card it didn’t go through and the lady screamed at the top of her lungs NO and took the card and scanned it herself. I was about to leave but I remembered that I had lottery tickets so I went back to scan it at the cashier. When the lady saw us again she rolled her eyes and took the tickets. I’m pretty sure the lady was racist. I asked for the receipt and she rolled her eyes yet AGAIN and gave us the receipt. We had to sign the receipt (both from the groceries and the lottery tickets) which we never had to do before, but when she told us to sign she said “sign for me” so she was probably making us give her a good review. She might’ve asked for a good review there but that doesn’t mean I’ll right a good review here.

In all my years of coming to this specific location, I am sorry to say that 2 representatives have now changed that for my family and me. In times when people need to be more compassionate between other human beings and to be treated as such - it is an awful shame that Kayla and her manager Scott were present for my interaction. A simple request for a reprint of my receipt became a grand fiasco in front of a full store and my mother, who has mental health problems. Obviously, this Shoppers Drug Mart does not hold itself to the same standards as the others near by. It has only made my decision to travel a little further for the proper customer service and respect that my family and I deserve.

A greatly situated Shoppers and the girls working makeup are great, however I witnessed a cashier, an older White lady with a raspy smokers voice, speaking very disrespectfully with a condescending tone to an older Somali man who was having trouble with the self checkout. This wasn’t the first occasion I’ve seen her behave like this, on another day she was following a Black girl while the store was practically empty. Seriously, you’re situated in a very diverse area, you should have SOME cultural competency especially in these times. It made me uncomfortable to be there and angry even. I recommend cultural training immediately.

Staff are lovely but not enough on. In times of a pandemic they make us wait in line forever to cash out. Catch covid just waiting in line. Bring back real people. Making $$$$ where every one else going bankrupt. I say at $ store across street and get a real cashier and save your money.

I come here often for groceries and it’s pretty good. The lines are long since most pay with cash (so self checkout is useless). There’s a black cashier that wears glasses. She is very rude. Had given me and others attitude multiple times. I do wonder why nothing has been done about her. Good Customer service is essential to a good business!

I went to this location to return a product witch the supervisor named Kayla was called to the front and refused to accept because I forgot the receipt at home.
I was told that they could check my rewards points and find the transaction!
All good the problem was she was not wearing her mask properly it was only covering her mouth and I told her I was uncomfortable with it.
Her response was that it was big on her and she didn’t care.
Well I went home and get my receipt and went back, she came again wth not wearing her mask again!
I call for her attention again and she said she didn’t care again!
I was absolutely uncomfortable as she was very close to me!
She walk again and said if I didn’t want shop there again it would b up to me!
Not a very supporting employee for your business that’s all I have to say!

I've visited this store about five years. It is clean and well stocked, with the occasional exception. Store has plenty of specials, most on weekends.

The staff they hire is high-calibre. The cashiers are mostly as good as you'll find anywhere. I admire the patience they have with the customers (some of whom have such bad manners it must be seen to be believed).

The post office is convenient, staff is courteous and helpful.

I'm glad the neighbourhood has such a well-run Shoppers.

I get that its just an essential store but i wish and hope they can treat this customers right.customer service is the number one key to every business no matter what.my uncle the other day was being treated very badly cuz he didnt understand the policy with the Pandemic but instead of them explaining it slowly and nicely, they were so loud to the point the whole store and line up could here and this made it uncomfortable for him

This store is amazing! It is always clean and organized. The pharmacist and the pharmacy team members have provided my Dad, who is 93 years old with yeoman service. They really care about their clients. Jennifer called me right away, when she received a prescription for my Dad, and I was able to arrange oxygen therapy that weekend. She had finished her shift, but waited for me to come down to the store to fax over the prescription. She is an amazing person, and so are the rest of the pharmacists, and pharmacy team members (Shayanne). Their driver is excellent and dependable and delivers prescriptions timely. Dad has been a client for probably 50 years, and they continue to provide incredible service. They are always kind, friendly and professional, and no question is ever dismissed. Thank you so much for taking great care of my Family.

I had an awful experience with the pharmacists at this location. They tried to force me to take the generic version of my medication versus the branded version without my consent or knowledge. I could only use the branded version of my medication and when I explained this to them they refused to do an exchange. (even though it was a couple hrs after the transaction, as I only noticed when my partner brought it home) When I made a complaint they mislead me and lied about the manager being available next day to address my issue, knowing full well the manager would not be available. I ended up have to pay twice for my medication and they also ended up charging my insurance company for a medication that I cannot use! Absolutely disgusting! Frauds!

Very convenient with the pharmacy and Canada post services and all the other goods such as personal care products, essential grocery products such as bread, milk, and eggs and other items, if you need it. Also helpful staff when you need help.

This shoppers is always clean and well kept. They have a good variety of products and the shelves are always well stocked. The pharmacy staff are very nice and always there to help. The Canada Post staff are nice as well.

Going to this location for 15 years without any problems. Around the 2nd week of December coming on to the Christmas season I did a purchase close to $70, after leaving I remembered that if i purchase a certain amount i would get a bunch of points so i return the stuff. Right away i buy them back over and spend the extra $5 or so to receive my points smh they started treating me like a criminal, security was standing there staring at me and the supervisor were on a different cash giving me attitude and calling me "mam" every second she got, I told the security not stare me down like that because I feel uncomfortable. The supervisor who was cashing took me on and call other people from the back she created a scene on me. I felt like it was because of my skin color.

I wouldn't buy any sort of technology from them. I bought faulty headphones for 22 bucks and I tried to return it 4 mins after I made the purchase. If there is no refund policy on certain merchandises, alert the customers so that it gives them a chance to reconsider purchasing the item.

I am giving 5 star for this location, it’s very convenient to my house, but I love how friendly and knowledgeable is lady named Maria at cosmetic desk!
She is reason I am coming back and spending money in Shoppers!

A nice store with nice staff. It’s not their fault that the line gets long sometimes. Be patient, you’ll live longer.
I like browsing the store but sometimes feel rushed and watched by the security guard in there (who is just doing his job). I understand why they hired a security guard in this location, it is not the most wholesome area of the city. But it’s sad that a few bad people had to ruin the experience for the rest of us. I just want to browse in peace!

Shop here daily but never enough cashiers except a long wait time at check out. Do not complain about adding more cashiers they will ban you from store! Seriously told my 65yo mother that she would get banned for complaining

The place needs help at drug mart very bad attitude and respect for the customer this 2 females name Yea Young Kim and shyanne the don’t have to work together the need someone supervised and fixed their behaviour to customer older and young people the treating same without respect and no mercy I had enough and people tired
