I went to this location yesterday to get a parfume that was on sale, I found it and asked the beauty boutique associate to check its price for me, she randomly said that it’s 90$ (not sale price) without really checking, I explained that it’s on sale on line for all sizes and she insisted that it’s not, without even trying to scan the perfume. I went back later to the store again and I found no parfume left (all of that variety was gone). It was clear that the associate did not want me to get it and kept it for herself or for someone else…

Big scam in their bogus big sale. Chocolate ferrero rocher of 16, they claim it s on sale 60% off, price after sale 12$
Also ferraro rocher variety box of 32, on sale (60 % off as they claim) for 21$ after sale!
When the government will step in with this price gouging everywhere?
Well in europe if u have a sale, you better have a sale or the government will shut you down.

This would have to be my favorite location in Scarborough, only because of the lady who works in the cosmetics section. I believe her name is Judy, or Julie (I hope this is correct). She has fantastic customer service skills and is super helpful any time I walk in. She's very professional and knows a lot when it comes to the products. She also doesn't shy away from giving honest feedback!
She's so lovely to chat with and makes my day anytime I go in.
5 Star for her!

The worker John was absolutely rude to me and my 4 year old son, scoffed at our questions and rolled his eyes infront of us, this establishment is a disgrace. Highly recommend going to another location just to avoid the confrontation and attitude of John. Im never coming to this shoppers ever again. I hope the store/management will do something about their worker. 0/100 I would give this 0 stars if I could.

I went to buy the gift cards because there is a promotion of pc optimum points. Judy is super nice and patient to went over all the transactions for every single card and she also assisted me on cosmetics question! Great experience:)

Review of Pharmacy: I have been going to this location for twenty years and unfortunately since ownership has switched over the customer service and attention to detail went downhill. I was very disappointed the way everything was handled. Staff have turned over as well, in the end I transferred my file to another pharmacy.

Took 10 minutes for pharmacy to pick up the line. I asked a simple yes/no question and that was responded to by putting phone on counter for 10 minutes then put me officially on hold for another 25 minutes without saying one word.

I eventually hung up without an answer to see the call lasted 46 minutes. Unreal.

My daughter had an allergic reaction, and the pharmacist was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was very impressed by her attitude and professionalism.

Feb 15/2023 I went to buy aspirin, 1 item and the place was not busy (no one else in check out line) cashiers not busy BUT I was directed to use the self checkout! She could only check out cash only! Sorry why should I work for Shopper's and self checkout? !

Never more than 1 cashier on shift and there is always a line up. Self-checkout machines do not take cash and there is no discount for using self-checkout. This leads to excessive wait times for 1 or 2 items. The pharmacy never picks up the phone anymore, and there are delays all the time, leading to poor quality customer service and frustrated customers. I recommend this store hire additional service staff to operate the vacant checkouts and pharmacy members to pick up the phone to avoid delays. I do not recommend this store until improvements can be made.

Incompetent Pharmacy staff, rude and doesn’t know to listen, repeated multiple times just to find the medication. Go back to school and learn. Nobody deserves this kind of service especially when dealing with people’s health. If you are not here for the health service then get out of this profession or industry rather then making your patients life miserable.

If I could give no stars I would give absolutely 0 stars based off the pharmacy alone. The pharmacist and his assistants are the rudest people ever. They barely have any knowledge about medication. They've given me medications that shouldn't be mixed at the same time before. They have 0 customer service skills. And they don't know how to answer questions properly about medications. This can be absolutely detrimental to someone's health and life. Pharmacist apparently runs 3 pharmacies, I don't understand how with such horrible people skills. It's pretty sad and pathetic that the patient knows more about the medications than the actual pharmacist himself.

Please be cautious. Lot of expired items (specifically skin care products) in stock. Surprisingly even expired baby products. I happened to purchase one baby lip balm which is expiring in 7 days.

Ive been getting prescriptions in this shoppers drugmart for years and I’ve never been so upset on their customer service. Ive waited sitting down for 1 hour and not a single person has come to tell me that my prescription was ready. One of the pharmacists working there had said “ We dont need to call you” yet he said I can sit down and it would take around 20-30mins. Coming from the doctors with agonizing backpain and I just wanted to get my pills and leave shoppers, they gave me a hard time and the person whos bald, wears glasses that works at the pharmacy I have some advice for you, communicate better to the people giving you business.

I have an appointment booked online with the Dynacare Laboratory and Health Services Centre that can only be accessed inside this Shoppers Drug Mart Kennedy Rd / Lawrence Ave E location.

After my quick appointment, I wandered around the store looking for specials.

This SDM store has aisles that are wide and product selection is good. There is a lottery station, ATM to get cash, and all the departments found at SDM stores including grocery & frozen food product selections.

Store staff are helpful. Checkouts are efficient and you now also have self-checkout stations as an option.

Don't forget to scan your PC Optimum points card on your total purchase!

On my way to shoppers today I got bitten by a bee I I’m deadly Allergic to bees went in to buy EpiPen was told could not buy it due they only one it was Covid shots If someone had an allergic reaction to the Covid shot now No by then the bee spot is getting swollen my tongue was itchy my ears are itchy my tongue was swelling up and they still refused to let me purchase the EpiPen that they had due to I needed it for life purpose they told me go ahead and call 911 that’ll be your best resort we can’t sell you this one EpiPen so instead I went to my pharmacy who was gracious enough to have it and to provide it for me so that saved my life compared to your pharmacy that chose not to sell me the EpiPen which I could’ve died in that moment so that is not really great customer service at your pharmacy not appreciated will never go to your pharmacy again

Super unprofessional pharmacy team. No one talk to you about charges until the last second. The prescription was 3.99 but they charged 12.99 for dispensing fee out of pocket which was fine if they just talked abt it but they didn't. It was pointless that I had drug coverage because their fees are more expensive than actual medications. Ridiculous.

The pharmacist Victoria at this location is very unprofessional and rude. I can’t believe she is a pharmacist, she always have an attitude, like she never wants to help anyone. I’ve been going to this location for over 10 years and I have never had a good experience other than when the owner has helped me. Not sure why shoppers charge so much for dispense fees when they can’t call you to inform you of issues with your prescription. As per Victoria she doesn’t have time and I should find another location that will call me. This is supposed to be her job. Unbelievable

Usually, Shoppers Drug Mart staff are absolutely friendly, courteous, very helpful and attentive. Yesterday, I went to buy a perfume ($149) for my wife and the lady who served me changed all that after 25 years of shopping at Shoppers. The middle aged lady with the glasses who served me was so miserable not friendly at all. When asked for any samples. She bluntly said "no" I realized there is always a first time. So, I am returning the item and going to buy it from another store. Will never go to that department at my neighborhood store. Hope she will learn to smile as it cost her noting and worth a million.

My Mother just had surgery done 2 week ago and is in grave pain. The doctor prescribed her two antibiotics because the it was if she had a rusty nail in her foot so he gave her strong medication clearly. When I came to pick the medication up the pharmacist took my information and passed me on to a naive representative who had to go back and forth for information on how to handle the question on why one of the prescription wasn’t filled. Fast forward to when I come back I’m angry but not stupid when they send you notifications the prescription is ready and don’t call to say that one wasn’t ready or held back. I spook with the woman in the photo and she was rude and disrespectful saying “ HERES YOUR Prescription, AND DON’T COME BACK”.

Very frustrated with their pharmacy services. Its been so many year that I am getting all my medication from them. But this time because we have special condition that we cannat go there to pick up our meds they refuse to deliver it. Specially on their answer machine they are asking if you have some condition we can deliver to your door. They said to find another pharmacy close to my house which is them is closed pharmacy to us.

Around last month when i paid through self check out this old asian lady literally ran behind me outside asking if i paid, i asked her dint you see me pay but her response was she only wants to see the bill i went in with her and showed her the bill infront of the other customers who she had already made a scene and made her feel dumb about it, today i went in with my girl and i paid through self check out again and she literally left the customers she was attending and came out of the counter and asked to see the bill and just wanted to check if it went through that was her reason, its really disrespectful and i hope she is taught some work ethic.

It's about time they have self serve check out. I use to shop here for 3 years and the cashiers don't know how to communicate with customers. They would choose who they want to service and they would leave when there is a long line up. I use to get followed which was weird because i don't steal and i'm not a theft. I would shop here and spend $50 to $100 worth of stuff i need that they have and i do use my Optimum card as well. Now i went in there recently after a year of not going back, it was so refreshing to use the check out self serve without being held back to purchase. Thank you. Good job.

I have been going to this Shoppers for about 5 years now. I love the pharmacy staff there. They are always kind and courteous, and willing to help when I have questions. As for the store in general, I have never had a problem. Yes sometimes there is a lineup but I have experienced that at every store I have been to. I choose to focus on the quality of service and personality. I am very happy to recommend this store.

Queues are long and it took us nearly 35 minutes to get 5 photos printed. To makes matters worse the lineup was almost 30 metres long with one cashier! (Picture attached)
Bad scheduling and no back up. No self checkout options and slow customer service. Only one cashier at the checkouts and rest of the floor on breaks. Rating one because of bad customer service.

Janeen the beautiful and approachable customer service rep was extremely nice and polite enough to wrap the gifts for my family during Christmas and also give me a complimentary gift for myself too! Btw, she has a very pretty smile and amazing nails, on the side!

- slow cashiers, who don’t ever SMILE.
- not mindful of the line up when they should be calling for backup.
- not up to date with shoppers drug mart optimum points policy. “Yes! You can search someone’s optimum card and pull it up via phone number”
Now I’m going to forward this store complaint to their customer care department.

Feedback: train your cashiers to not look miserable and smile. There are plenty of more deserving unemployed people who want their jobs!

Nice staff, in my experience though I see that some other reviewers have not had the same experience but they have always treat me well so I can not speak for everyone. Only negative is that sometimes it's a little too slow/long of a wait in line. But for the most part, clean and friendly. Edit: Just to clarify I haven't dealt with the customer service at all besides the basic cashiers, and the cashiers were friendly to me, I can't speak about the other staff. I urge that those who have had really bad customer service experiences go to Shoppers' contact page online and contact the company directly, as I believe only the this particular Shoppers will see these complaints.

I have been shopping here for 2 years and there will be great staff and bad staff. The best ones are always serving you. When it comes to the worst staff, they always go to the back room to not serve customers when there is a line up.its always just one person at the cashier who does her job very well and knowlegable and she was very nice. I think the management should train the worst staff to not run and hide from customers when they are ready to cash out. Overall I love shopping there no matter what, Thank you. I'm giving it a 2.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would,

They have the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced at a Shoppers Drug Mart.

While looking for an item, the staff in the beauty department were unwilling to help me find what I was looking for.

There was no pricing for the Carlton Cards so it was a bit frustrating to find out a simple Birthday Card was $4 when I got to the checkout.

Lastly while trying to purchase a Giftcard, I tried to purchase with both debit and credit and both times failed, the cashier made me feel as if it was my fault the purchase wasn't going through, but really it was their system that was down. The cashier did not explain to me she could not sell me the giftcard due to the system being down, instead she simply took the Giftcard away from me, took my credit card away from me and tried to refund me and continue on with her day as if it was nothing.

Definitely will not be returning to this location.
