Amazing atmosphere and a very cozy place. Especially the dinner area. I didn't try the food since I was looking for a cup of tea and a cherry cheesecake. I got exactly that. The host was amazing and welcoming. She made sure everything was taken care of. I definitely recommend this place.

My first time and the food was delicious, our server was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The separate dining room was perfect to enjoy a quieter dinner while the band played in the bar area. I didn’t notice a choice to book the bar or dining room when I made my reservation as I definitely would have picked the bar. I guess I’ll have to go back!

Lovely time today meeting my friends for lunch! Relaxed atmosphere and reasonable pricing. Not loud so you can chat and enjoy your food.

Such a wonderful landmark and great food great service and a one of a kind owner. It sure says alot when the staff has been with Maureen all these years. I would recommend this place to anyone of any age anytime.

With two girlfriends, we thoroughly enjoyed our long overdue dinner at Shore Grill And Grotto. The food was delicious, service wonderful and servers were very understanding about us not being in a rush as we had a lot to talk about. When one of my friends queried the spiciness of a dish, the server brought her a sample to taste, so she could make an informed decision. It's these extra touches that make Shoe Grill And Grotto a favourie choice.

We enjoyed the fun and friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious.

2 weeks ago, walked in, bar area, proceeded to show id, they did not check it. So I just figured because we are regulars.
No, not the case at all. They were not checking anybody. After observing other patrons, people are walking around with no masks, others are dancing at tables. I understand it is probably a nuisance to check everyone, but do we want to shut down again? Not impressed!
What happened to protocol?

My sister and I were in Port Credit on a visit for the day (we’re from Toronto) we decided to stop and grab some lunch here. The staff we had were very friendly and the service was pretty good, but I enjoyed our drinks more than the food. I found the calamari to be undercooked the texture wasn’t right as an avid calamari eater I would know lol! Overall it was a good experience we just had to throw out most of the calamari and I hate being wasteful.

Shore is a great place to eat, drink and listen to fantastic live music. I especially love the huge back patio in the summer! I always feel welcome and Covid safe!

Food is always great but the service has definitely been declining. Went this evening and sat on the patio. Our server was really unprofessional, we had to get her attention every time we needed something including placing our very first drink/app order. The table when we sat down was covered in some kind of barbecue sauce which got all over the sleeves on my long sleeve shirt before we noticed. Overall was quite disappointed with the experience which is unfortunate considering the food is actually really good.

Had a large party, private room upstairs. Fantastic food and service. Amazing band on the back patio as well. On a Thursday. Very good time had by all. We will be back

Good food, live music and absolutely good service!

We were a fairly big family and on a pretty busy day for them the waiter went over and above for us to make sure the food was as we ordered and we got a seat outdoors to listen to the live music.

We are regulars here and always find the food and service great. Our go to meal is the steak fajita which is excellent but everything is good. Maureen, the owner, always makes a point of speaking to us and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep coming back.

Went to the Shore on Lakeshore last night with my wife and daughter. Very friendly and helpful at the door. We sat at the front of Lakeshore. Really enjoyed the atmosphere… even though they were busy the staff was attentive to our needs. The seafood linguini was a big hit at our table. I took a peak in the back and there was a great band and very lively atmosphere. 5 stars for the service and food. Thanks you for a wonderful evening.

The food here is disgusting and not edible. The food I ordered was way too dry and they forgot my sauce; I had to ask multiple times for water and serviettes when I should’ve only had to ask once. On top of that, the customer service was so disappointing. No respect at all to the customers, so I can only imagine what’s it like actually working there. A very hostile environment. This restaurant needs to do better, period.

The servers themselves were good but incredibly understaffed and overworked.

It's near impossible to give good service while you are attending 12 tables by yourself.

Food was okay.
Bruschetta was quite good.
Salmon salad and marsala were pretty uninspiring for the price.

Front patio was pretty good but the back patio with music (which is where we wanted to be) was full.

We were a party of 4. We sat in the garden. Enjoyed the live music. Were very impressed with the waiter. He used his brain to take the orders and not a note pad. We really liked the food. We ordered grilled calamari. It was delicious. Seafood linguine it was delicious. Cesar salad with salmon … everything was delicious

Loved the back patio! Live music and good food! Front patio seemed a bit loud from traffic so really happy we got a seat in the back. Bit pricey but the quality and good vibes made it worth it.

The food was alright and the service was mediocre. I understand it’s covid and people are excited for normalcy. However people were standing 10 to a table gathering all around no masks or socially distant. Our waitress paid attention to us a total of 2’times and couldn’t even get our orders right. Definitely a terrible experience the plus side was that the bussers and hostess were really nice. Overall wouldn’t recommend here for a nice night out.

Great place to go.right in the heart of Port Credit! Patio out back is huge and they had some really talented musicians playing!

There is no better place to watch a game or have a meal on a patio. The staff are friendly and the food is great (try their pizzas).

Erin was such an amazing server! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. Customer service was great. Full bar is a bonus! Food was decent with good selection. Definitely coming again.

In the heart of Port Credit, Shore Grill & Grotto caters to all tastes. If you want a high end meal, wings, great wine, or bottled beer, they’ve got you covered. The front and back patios are summer destinations for both locals and tourists. Shore is also the top live music venue on PC.

Had a lovely peaceful and quiet afternoon with some friends here. Very attentive and accommodating staff. They were very polite and nothing was ever a problem. Very nice selection of ciders they have here too. Nice and cold. Although the jagermeister could have been a bit colder. They have a huge outdoor 2 level patio, the upper level is covered and there is a very cool old car out back too. Great place to watch sports and make some new friends.

I actually was a busboy for a brief period working for Maureen who ran the place and I got to meet Chef Massimo.

Food was decent-however we were told before being seated wings and fries and drinks only, other menu items were off limits.only to see other tables getting pizza, calamari etc. I understand its difficult at this time but terrible customer service on your part when I’m coming there to spend my money. Wait to pay the bill, wait for drinks was long. My wine was not cold. I don’t expect an appropriate response from management whose only goal seems to be defending themselves against the bad reviews and not owning up to mistakes to make your establishment better but just so you know my experience was bad and i will not be returning.

Vibes are really amazing, live music also makes you feel so good having your food besides your friends and family. Staff is quite good and service is also superior. Like the taste as well.

This place is amazing. They have plenty of space for outdoor and indoor seating. We had tried when restaurants were opened with outdoor seating.

Food was delicious and so as drinks. We ordered Shore Pizza and Caprese Pasta. Both were made with love. Pictures are attached for your reference.

Staff is very friendly. They don't rush up things and let you enjoy food & company. They also have heaters for outdoor seating.

Cam with my wife here last year & we both liked the environment. It does get busy sometimes specially at night so better to call ahead & see if you can reserve a table

Ordered take out tonight! Linguine Mumbai and Seafood linguine, both were marvelous! Lots of food, lots of seafood, we were very pleased with the portions and the amazing taste! Strongly recommend!

I have few things to say. First, wherethere COVID or not, service should remain unchangebly stable for a place with 4.3 rating. We came in tonight and waited for at least 20 min before the server attended our table to even introduce herself with the restaurant being only half full. Appetisers and main course came all at once.so while we were trying on the sharables, my pasta got cold. Really? MAJOR disappointment took place once the drinks arrived. My husband’s 9 ounce Sauvignon blanc and my 9 ounce Valpolicella both tasted like they were watered down. Come on guys. We respect wine and sure do know what these two should taste like. Another thing is “we don’t carry bottled water”. This threw us off. 4 people at our table didn’t touch the iced tap water glasses. They only thing that levelled up the overall experience was the food: both pizzas, cashew encrusted goat cheese and the calamari were good.

This review would most probably not even be read by most of the future guests and won’t even get to the manager of this place (that’s if they care about the reputation of this place), won’t change a thing in how the restaurant is run and most unfortunately won’t make those servers more thoughtful and organized, but one thing I want to say: EXPERIENCE is what makes people want to come back, share, bring friends and familiy to places. Today I felt like I was treated poorly and unprofessionally, yet still paid the same amount of money as at a place where they try hard, enjoy and create a welcoming atmosphere for their guests.

Only with the best intentions: guys, places like yours eventually close down because you just don’t care.

I have been to this restaurant several times over the years and always enjoyed myself. Service, food & drinks always great. I was there a couple times in the last few weeks, during the pandemic.
The first time we arrived (Sept 11), the young girl at the front entrance took the name and phone of each person in the party and spritzed our hands with sanitizer. We were sitting on the 'pandemic patio' out in the back. I noted that all the staff had on face masks which I was pleased to see. However I was disappointed to see that the staff were allowing customers to get up and dance, and wander between tables with no masks on. The first night I was there, the security at the rear entrance to the patio was checking for masks as people came in/out, but no contact tracing.
The second evening (Sept 17) there was no one checking anything at the rear entrance; no contact tracing; and while the staff again were masked, they were again allowing customers to wander all over the place without face coverings.
Highly disappointing. I have been at other establishments where staff are diligent about reminding their customers to put on a face covering when they get up from their table, and others where, like at Shore, unfortunately there was nothing done to ensure their guests adhered to current social distancing/face covering measures.

Staff was ok, food was not amazing but not bad the pizza did not taste great, to be fair there are amazing pizza places in the area so maybe if yu want authentic great pizza and pasta go elsewhere. They need a signature dish to stand out! Will come again for the entertainment though.

Best calamari in GTA! Careful they don’t travel well, because they are so delicious that you will eat them right away

Overall, great lunch experience at Shore! Our server Tracy was very hospitable, and food was enjoyable. Would highly recommend the Pacific Pig pizza (great serving size for two people), with refreshing Long Island Ice Tea.

The calamari portion was abundant! Perfectly golden crispy batter and the pizza was unreal. Wish we had ordered two! Beers were nice and crispy, service was excellent. The back patio is sunny and quiet! Little gem in port credit worth trying!

Such an amazing place! I’ve been here twice now. The atmosphere is great, positive and chill. The staff are amazing, and food & drinks are great also! Adam made our experience that much more great! Would/have been recommending this place!
