Shorty's Sandwich Shop

This place is PRIME TIME! Came here for the first time today and it’s the BEST sandwich I ever ate in my life! 100% recommend! Also very nice people too! It’s a hidden gem for sure.

Make sure to stop by for a sandwich if you are in Nepean around lunch time. The best sandwiches and fries in all of Ottawa.

I stopped by Shorty's for a late lunch.
Shorty's has a variety of buns to choose from for your sandwich. I'm a fan of fresh Portuguese buns and chose that for my sandwich, but will have to go back to try their other buns, like their cheese bun.

I had the Italiano sandwich, which was quite good, though I personally feel it could have done with a bit more of a generous helping of the toppings on the sandwich. Overall though, it was good and I plan on returning to try more of the options, like their daily specials that they have.
For the price, I would definitely recommend Shorty's if you work nearby or are hungry and in the area.

I never review anything. I just never think to take the time to do it. That said, I work up the road from Shorty's and am regularly there because the food is amazing and the service is excellent.

I generally go to a restaurant and get the same thing because it's a safe bet I will like it, but at Shorty's I get whatever the special is that day because it's always great and consistent.

I always enjoy a good sandwich and I've tried other places, but nobody will convince me of a better sandwich shop in existence. Shorty's is by far the best around.

I originally went to Metro to find a sandwhich and what I found there was disappointing and disgraceful for what you get at their prices.

I always order the “Get what you get” and have never, not once, been disappointed. There isn’t a single item on their menu that I wouldn’t devour.

Never disappoints! Great sandwiches, lots of selections, toppings. Order online ahead and they are always ready regardless of the lineups. Far and away my fav sandwiches in Ottawa - there once a week! El Rancho on jalapeno bread is exceptional!

Thé food is amazing, the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. Super impressed. Im here at least twice a week now.

Shorty's Sandwich Shop is great. The service is awesome and the place is always very clean. Since they've opened, it's always been a pleasure going here.

Shorty's is the best! They have amazing, friendly staff and their sandwiches are so tasty. They make their buns in-house and they are delicious. Always slingin' fresh ingredients, too. So good. Court's Club and the Chicken Parm are a couple of my favourites.

Shorty’s is an awesome shop for a good lunch. The only reason you won’t like something is if you don’t like that particular ingredient. Everything is fresh and delicious. My personal favourites are poutines with the daily special meat (pulled pork, meatball, etc.) with bacon.
The breakfast options are also great!

My favourite place to eat lunch. Head over there at least once a week. They've a variety of really great sandwiches and wraps, and it's all very reasonably priced. Strongly suggest a visit if you're in the area!
