Great Thai food and a worthy sister restaurant to Pai. The chicken laab was fantastic; acidic, savoury, and satisfying, even with the cilantro I loved every bit.

The pad Thai is also very good, but I we found the spice level to be very inconsistent. My friend had ordered the same spice level and his was much more mild. The Thai iced tea float was a bit of a let down and I think I’d have preferred just the iced tea. Ultimately I think KSR and Pai are better, but this place is great for a Thai food fix and probably the best in this area of the city.

Excellent Casual Thai joint highly recommended, friendly service plus offered the authentic Thai street foods up there.

Wowwww. The food here is so so good. They’ve got quite a few unique dishes as well and the staff is very kind!

If you are looking for a good place to have a date but it has to be asian food, here you go! I wish they had past control better because they had many flies in the restaurant, but everything else was so good.

I ordered Phad Thai with shrimp and it was good. The shrimp was amazing, but the noodles were very sour. I know Phad Thai is normally a bit sour, but this one had too much lemon. The waitress asked if it was good and I said it was too much sour, she said it was normal and that phad thai is like this. I’ve already eaten lots of Phad Thais and none was like that, my parents also complained it was too sour.
On the other hand, the food was cheap and came a generous portion.

Went to Si Lom Thai for dinner with a friend and it was great. The food was delicious and dessert was good. I had the pad see ew and my friend ordered the pad Thai, we didn’t need to wait long and the drinks were good too. Dessert was the Thai ice tea pudding which was good, I think it needed more richness (it was more jello like than pudding). Will be back for sure!

My visit to the restaurant started great as the waitress immediately found us an empty table and had us seated with a bottle of cold water, cups, utensils, and a napkin. I requested two dishes be given to us when the waitress took our order; however, we had to ask a second time. It was very busy so I don't blame them for missing that detail. I ordered tom yum fried rice with shrimp and pad thai with chicken. The tom yu. The fried rice was tasty but quite dry/hard almost like the rice was burnt. The shrimps were also tasty and a good size/quantity but also a little overcooked. The pad thai was much more well made (although I'm not the biggest fan of pad thai). The noodles were cooked well, chicken was tasty in small pieces, and was served with peanuts and lime. The restaurant is overall quite small but they manage to fit a large number of tables so it is quite packed, making the atmosphere a little chaotic when it is busy. The portions are quite large but the prices are very high for the quality of the food. It is a downtown Toronto restaurant though so I expected it.

Update: owner responded back, but too much of a wuss to type it in english. They're probably too busy cleaning the restaurant from rats, to translate what they said.

(update after owner responded) : yes it is the norm BUT IT'S STILL NOT THE LAW, so idk what your point is. Maybe pay your employees better, so they won't rely on tips. If you care about tipping so much, then don't add a "No tip" option when it's time for the bill.

Food is definitely more expensive than other Thai places, I'd say $20-$30 dollars was the range. Cocktails were same price as other overpriced restaurants $12.50, it tastes decent. When I paid, we stayed for a little bit as I was waiting for my friend to come out of the washroom. The server went up to us again regarding our receipt saying that "they saw we didn't tip and they take tipping very seriously". Restaurant shouldve stated that clearly in their menu, that was such an awkward experience. Don't think there was any mind-blowing experience for us to tip, servers are expected to show basic respect to customers anyways. Wouldve been better to say it privately, instead of saying it loudly for other customers to hear. There's no law that requires customers to tip everytime they eat out, servers are already paid per hour.overall, food was mid.

Food and service were great, no complaints about that but I have been here many times and I just can’t help but noticed the amount of flies around (even during winter). It’s annoying when I was trying to eat and at the same time I had to use one hand to swat the flies. The amount of files they have here, it really concern me about the sanitary conditions of their kitchen and washroom. Please do something about it, have pest control come in to take a look, do a big clean up regularly of the dining area, kitchen and bathroom, etc. I have seen quite a few other reviews mentioning about the files situation too so it’s not just me who thinks it’s an issue.

Food was tasty. Quite authentic. We especially love the papaya salad with pork jowl. Will definitely visit again!

The staff are so adorable and very quick service. I love their khao ka prao khai dow with chicken and durian coconut sticky rice. I'll definitely come back for other dishes.

No! You can’t serve dish with cockroach in it!

It was substandard food. I would really avoid the garlic sauce beef. We had to order green curry sauce (which was delish but it was just curry for 5 dollars) to eat the rice. Even the Pad See Ew was okay at best. A miss, unfortunately.

Si Lom offers the most delicious Thai food. We tried out the Tom Yum Pad Thai which was definitely a nice twist to a regular Pad Thai. It was super yummy and had that tangy flavor to it. My favourite was the Pad Kee Mao which was spicy and sooooo good. I absolutely loved it! We also tried a regular Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup which were amazing. Recommend checking them out, they offer lunch special which is totally worth it!

We liked the place and the food. We had Pad Kee Mao and Khao Soi. Though the food was great we thought the serving was a bit smaller than you would generally get at a Thai place. If you are looking for good tasting Thai food, this is the place!

It has been a while since I've had great fish panang, and Si Lom nailed it. The crispy chicken wontons were good as well, and I certainly enjoyed their signature dish, the pad kee mao with crispy pork.

The best thai food you can get around here, and people who work here are really nice (i’ve known them for years and the service is always great). And there’s obviously a group of people spamming bad reviews because something was not to their liking, I hope they can speak about it instead of spamming bad reviews over and over, stop being a bunch of crybabies and be reasonable.

It was authentic Thai food. Loved it and would highly recommend. Food was fresh and delicious

The restaurant is so cute! They currently have it decorated for Halloween and it's great! My roommate come here for great Thai food with some great spice!

I love this place because people are so accommodating and friendly! Especially the owner of the restaurant. I come and eat here for lunch and dinner 4x a week. I love the food brings me memories when i was in Thailand. They gave a Great customer experience

Authentic Thai cuisine! I like the ambience very much. Waiters are well behaved and serve great. I’m a regular customer there.

Food is okay. Pad thai w soft shell crab: too much source too sour. The sanitation is a concern that a fruit fly drown in my drink……Dont recommend
