Chicken biryani and fish fingers are still outstanding. I moved back to US 10 years ago. I keep trying this place every time I come to Toronto. I used to go to this place regularly when I was a student in Centennial College, food quality and quantity hasn’t changed since then. Prices went up a little bit, but that’s normal. I bet you can’t find a place in GTA that’s this fresh and quantity for sure.
Very stingy I ordered beef biryani the pieces of meat was the size of a quarter the rest was bones also the rice was not marinated AT ALL avoid this place
There are several reasons why Silver Spoon comes at the top of my go-to places for Chicken Biryani.
For the price of $7.49 plus taxes, you get a styrofoam pack of Biryani with a quantity that's enough to see you through for two meals. Don't think that I'm exaggerating. I have a hearty appetite and I'm rarely able to finish it in one go. Do keep in mind that it is not boneless. You'll get 2 pieces of chicken; one leg and one thigh.
Another reason is the taste. It's really good and satisfying. If you like the way how Biryani tastes in northern India, you should definitely give it a try. You won't regret. Also, I've been buying from this restaurant for more than 2 years now and the taste has remained the same. You can also request to make it spicy. Definitely a plus.
Fish fingers is another thing that I like at this restaurant. Do give it a try.
One thing to keep in mind though. If you don't want to wait, do call them in advance and place your order. They'll let you know the time it will take for preparing your order.

Food is hit and miss. It can be great or terrible.
Crazy to place an order. Terrible customer service and they rarely answer calls. No better way of placing order. Drive all the way and most likely they would've been out of biryani.
If there was a no star option I'd rate them that. Garbage chicken biryani and butter chicken. Did the staff/management change? I would put up with their terrible customer service in the past based on the quality of food. Save your money and go to Annapurna next door, they treat you way better and have quality food. Truly disappointed Silver Spoon (Warden and 401).
Dont have the knowledge of basic hygiene. The cashier was using mop and without washing hands started handling money and handing out food. Like how do you get your food serve certificate, I wonder how they make food back in the kitchen if they are handling food like this in front of the customers. This place has become just a money grab business. Avoid this place unless you want food poisoning. Not to mention called 38 times before they answered the phone.
Ordered Veg rice got chicken pieces in veg rice. The basic hygiene is not maintained. I don't know how are they handling the Food inspection Audit with very poor at maintaining the basic hygiene in this COVID times. Cashier is cleaning the counter with mob and packing the food without washing!
The front people make this restaurant an absolute joke when it comes to service…. No greeting no respect for customers nothing its like they are giving food for free so it doesn’t matter how they behave… if the OWNER of the restaurant is reading my review i think he won’t but if you (OWNER) are reading this then I would like to tell you that you have the best biryani in whole toronto trust me ask any indian or pakistani and if they know what’s actually dum biryani they will tell you that you have the best biryani but if there is no change in your service on the front then you will see the sales go down and you will loose customers but rest is upto you your restaurant your business
I went to this place on 31 of October, 2021 Food was stale as it was tasting as if they have made it 3 day’s back. Really disappointing I would never go here again Charging 31$ for buffet it should better be top nosh, but it was disappointing as i am paying 10 $ for a buffet and taking there services.
Paid 44 dollars for biriyani and kheer, the lady handed me over a bill of 31 dollars. Asked her why is it 31 she replied " you got your Kheer right? ! " So it seemed that I paid for the food and she is not giving me the full bill. Asked for the bill for the Kheer and she literally threw it on the counter. No complaints on the food btw. Very bad customer service for a regular customer.
Bad service who was bagging the packets, ordered for spicy Biryani she put mild. And when I went back with the unopened box she (Jasmin) was arguing with me and did not admit her mistake, and was saying that spicy is like this only. No one to complain in the store manage or the owner. And she said I can call the #'s in the menu but no one picks up. Hey owner or manager can you please look into this. I have no complains about the food. It happened Aug 29th 2021 lunch time.
I ordered thru skipthedish. Sometimes I crave butter chicken and some Biryani rice so I have been trying all the different restaurants in my area looking for the best value and taste. I was very happy with this order. It was around $32 all in and the Chicken Biryani was a good amount for 2 or 3 large meals and tasted very nice. It had 2 Large pieces of chicken so now looking back at the other reviews about people complaining its not enough chicken are silly, I got a drumstick and a large thigh so for the cost it's very good value. I got a large butter chicken but the 1 complaint is the large did not seem that large for $12 and it did not look very appetizing but it tasted just as good as any I have tried so far. I wish there was more but the overall meal was worth it. I also got the tandoori chicken which was excellent and some sort of tandoori fish that was free which was a nice bonus and also tasted very good. Overall I'm happy and so far this is the best I have found closest to my home. Thank you
One of the worst place I have ever shopped. I ordered the food which I was told it will take 20 minutes. I was inside the resturent & the Stupid Cashier told me wait outside in Hot weather. I was wearing my Mask, & still I was told to wait outside. This restaurant is doing discrimination. WILL NEVER SHOP OR ORDER FROM THIS RESTUTARENT ANYMORE
Staff was was not at-all friendly & was in some kind of rush to push the customers for the payment & it was not busy or it’s understandable. Food was good.
Hassan is a gem of a guy! Great service and he went above and beyond to make sure everything went well with our order. Our guests loved the food and I would definately recommend this location for any catering needs.
Biriyani # perfumed rice hardly have chicken. Before they used to give 3 piece chicken.now reduced to 2 pieces.over the time quality degraded. Its possibly as they dont increase price to meet standard in terms of taste or hygiene.very bad people with bad attitude in front desk taking direct order or phone order. I think they are selling enough so no thought of change or improve.
Another great place for deliciously fresh and tasty biryani and other Pakistani/Indian dishes. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Service is quick. Order ahead of time. Pick-up and check-out is fast. The staff are all very nice and the place is clean.
Pre ordered but not ready to be pick up after such time dis organize or maybe just busy. Fry fish is our fave but it is very salty now adays. Not happy for the last visit.
Tried this place for the first time considering some good reviews. Got a tray of lamb Biryani for a birthday party and the rice turns out to be sticky and it didnt even taste that great. Everyone at the party hardly ate any of it. Totally disappointing. You can find other great authentic places in Scarborough to get Biryani.
Biryani is love and this rating is simply based on the biryani I experienced from Silverspoon. Upon entering the place one can smell the aroma of food which actually helps to determine the taste to expect. The chicken biryani I had was almost up to par set by Student Tasty Biryani in Montreal. The things that were missing were the prunes (Aloo bukara), cardamom (elaichi) and some extra masala lingering in the rice. The biryani itself otherwise was great. 2nd to best:)
Unfortunately compare to last year, their service dropped dramatically. People at front don't know about customer service. They stare your eyes to get order instead of asking "How can I help you". Counter boy acts like a play boy. Lamb Biryani was so salty and spicy.
This is not the original silver spoon it is actually called silver spoons but food is comparable to the OG silver spoon although it's busy and small seating area
Worst customer service, I don't know whats wrong with owner not to listen this problem. Short guy always texting and laughing on phone or flirting with counter girls unaware of customer presence. Please train your staff how to greet customer.
Well, m trying to reach them threw phone to place food order for pick up. Nd these guyes seems like they have kept their phone on side. No one is answering. This is bad really bad for customer. I like their food but now believe me this place is no go for me. Fells really disrespect full.
Be aware this restaurant is not silver spoon it’s silver spoons, a fake copy cat of real silver spoon. Went there thinking it’s silver spoon and ordered butter chicken. Very pricey and only got few pieces of chicken and the rest was sweet orange Color yogurt. Never going back to this place.
This guys don’t answer phone at first place, walked in to palace an order before 24hrs and picked up next day. Confirmed order 3 times before placing order and when went to pick it up, instead of Large butter chicken they made only small and said sorry it was mistake. And the store front guy was rude like if you want i can make it large but will take 20-25 mins. Like i made a mistake? Like seriously guys? I have people waiting at home for food on christmast eve and I’m waiting here to make it right. So embarrassing. Never ordering again. Big No.
Want an economical dining experience, then yes this place is easy on your pocket. Ordered naan, chicken karahi, chana masala and chicken biryani. Nothing tasted extraordinary. Probably the biryani deserves a 3 star. The part that was very disappointing is their customer service. The guy behind the cash register literally threw the menu on the table when my husband asked for it. It didn't end there. The lady waiter was extremely impolite and rude as she took the orders. This was just not my observation, as we were walking out of the restaurant a lady from the other table was complaining to another waiter about the rude manners of the lady who also attended to our table. Staff can be very rude and unwelcoming. Nothing really matters to me more than kindness for one another. Never going back.
Unlike the Silver Spoon on Sheppard, this is a restaurant more than a take out counter. The service I experienced was not bad unlike some reviews I read. I was there to order a dish to go, and I got a biryani with 2 side dishes; 1 meat, 1 vegetable. My order was taken promptly, and was ready in a matter of minutes. My overall experience was worth 3 stars, but the 4th star is for the price and portion. $10 got me enough food for 2 full meals, plus the dishes (palak paneer and lamb curry) were tasty. Would definitely repeat.
Quantity of food is great. Hyderabad ki biriyani yaad aagayi-chicken very nice cooked nd pilaf rice was perfect! Affordable price! Fast serving. Wat more do u want on a lazy day.
I and my friend almost had weekly once dining there the food over all good but yesterday when we were there the rice quantity was not the same at all comparing to other weeks & we had to order extra rice which we never did for 2 of us & we identified that chicken tikka was not well cooked yesterday / smelled.usually they serve any fried items with salaad but yesterday it was served with just white onions.surprised Now a days some of the staffs are not friendly than before. Their show is only by giving Biryani rice more & try to cut down the rest.
The quality is very good and the portions you get are quite generous. All of that along with a nice dine in area with good service. This is a place worth checking out! The Palak Ghost and Chicken Biryani are very tasty btw:)
Fair prices, good combos (for rice and curry platters) and healthy servings means Silver Spoon on Warden is usually packed for the lunch rush and dinner takeout periods. If coming here with groups larger than 4, expect to wait or show up early. Entry to this restaurant is a bit of a pain due to the proxity near and a major intersection (Warden and Ellesmere) so be prepared for that. The Biryani is particularly noteworthy with plenty of caramelized onions, spices and your choice of protein. Accepts cash or debit.
Just the chicken biryani is the best. We ordered chicken tikka masala and it was full of bell pepper (capsicum) and it was almost raw and not cooked properly, was like eating raw pepper. Plus it tasted differently than what u get in the other silver spoon shop at Sheppard ave east. When confronted with the server, she said “this is the different franchisee and the owner is different”, that is a silly argument since the brand name is same right? However pls get only chicken biryani rest is not good.
Best place to eat tamarind rice with chicken pieces. Spices are above limit with only one ingredient-red chilli powder. Just ask for chicken biryani to get above dish.
They never pick your call, even though you try calling for 10 times and their food closes sooner than the time they close the restaurant everytime. By the time you reach there, you will be disappointed by hearing No biryani's. Not recommended
Its funny all staff wear hair net except one person, who deals very rudely without eye contact, no smile. This place is good for take out only cuz seating place is dirty and teared.
