I called the vet office after I found a bump on Coco’s nose on Sunday. The vet is so nice and patient. After he saw the photo, he suspected there was a TICK. I can never thought about Tick infection for my dog. Thank you soooooo much!

I give this place 5 stars because for the amount that they charge, and the delivery of services, they deserve it. It's not modern, or super nice, but the staff there have fulfilled my expectations every time. Thank you.

The vet was super rush, lacked compassion and not very professional. Every option he gives you there is additional charges. The only pro was he was able to accommodate walk in. So I ended just paying for the check up for over $160 for 4mins of his time and went to another location which was definitely the right choice i made.

Dr. Du is always very professional and gentle with my cats. He is also very nice and friendly to us. I can tell from our conversation and he loves animals and is very passionate and cares about them.

I have him on social media and he always answer my questions when he has time. The price is also reasonable. He is definitely not after the money.

I am not sure why there is so many negative reviews about this place. I do believe that If you be nice, reasonable and respectful to people they will do them same to you. Be considered. We can make a better world.

I wish I could give 0 star. Dr Du is unprofessional and has no sympathy. He gave my family cat a simple examination and claimed it’s having late stage cancer and walked away with no treatments.

Dr. Du is VERY unprofessional and unethical. We brought our cat to the clinic and they didn't give us any treatment and suggest us to do euthanasia! We brought him to the emergency hospital later and with the treatment there our cat still okay.

Reasonable price and great service! When I need my cats vaccinated, they can always put me in on the second day. No long waiting. I would recommend this place:)

Recommended. My cat has got all his vaccinations, checkups and neutering at silver star animal hospital. Even though it’s far from my home, I still travel to this hospital because I trust the doctor and staff. Kind and helpful.

It's my first time bringing Jayden my puppy to Dr Du. I liked that the receptionist answered majority of my questions and so when I get to see Dr Du, although it was rushed (which I understand), my unanswered questions were then answered by him with detail. He also allows his wechat to answer questions so I feel like there is still access to him. My fave part is that there was NO upselling at all, only what's necessary. Thank you Dr Du!

Very professional and friendly, they always take the time to explain everything I should know about taking care my dog.

I highly recommend this clinic for all your pets needs. The vet here truly cares about the animals and you can see it through his work which he will even call after hours to care for your pet if needed. I have switched multiple vets mainly because they never seemed to care about my pet and looked at my pet as a cheque. I have been going here for years now and I am thankful to have found a wonderful doctor for my little guy.

I called to ask about my pet. The front desk was terribly rude and impatient. Definitely switching to another clinic and not recommend going there.

Worst place I have ever been. Never recommend this place. They do not spend time to check your pet.

Awful experience. All Staff are not trained properly to deal with emergency situations over the phone and sadly my kitten died in my arms in front of my 2 year old while I was placed on hold. Many issues here, the immediate issue is 2 days ago I took a new kitten and returning kitten to see the vet new kitten got shots and deworming, no professional communication from the vet during the consultation for for both kittens. Dr. Du left for new customers and had the receptionist roughly explain things no real answer to their issues were provided. Deworming liquid was in unmarked bottle in a cabinet. I brought her home she still lethargic today she looks ill gums are grey I was holding her called for help, some advice, literally anything I got nothing just the receptionists Sherry and another one saying did she eat something? Who is this? Um hold on speaking very slow all while I am saying this is an emergency do you understand? She is dying! Get the vet! She sadly passes I had no idea why she was in good spirits before she came got shots and died within 2 days. I barely spoke to the Vet he just kept saying he's busy sorry what's the issue? Texting me what can I do I'm with a dog having a seizure after I already said what just happened was extremely unprofessional and wrong. I am going to another vet. Communication is unclear, zero urgency, untrained staff and dirty. Go there the place is dirty the map bucket is out, paper everywhere in the front. I would never recommend this place it's nasty in many ways not even a sincere apology. I had a few kittens and took them here because it was hard to find a vet during the pandemic. The vet says what are you a breeder now? Because I brought a kitten my neighbour found in her backyard with a kitten I already had. 1 out of the other 3 kittens had problems at her new home and when taken to another vet that new vet said the kitten wasn't dewormed properly. This is what happened my family is traumatized there is no need to lie on my part. The owners rebuttals do not mean anything they will try to save their reputation at all cost before admitting a fault I read the reviews it seems that's there go to method. Whether the Dr. Du was busy or not the staff should be TRAINED to know how to talk on the phone during these situations with urgency awful situation especially for a 2 year old to see

I took my dog there to get a health certificate for taking the plane. The doctor choked my dog to make him cough. My dog never coughs like that at home or anywhere else. Then the doctor said my dog coughs too much, he will not provide the health certificate UNLESS I AGREE TO DO AN X-RAY TEST. I have no choice but to agree. They took an x-ray test, said my dog has a malformed trichea that needs surgery and medications. Charged me four hundred dollars for all tests and medicines. After arriving to the destination, I went to another animal hospital to check if my dog needs surgery, and the doctors say there are no imflammation nor abnormal structures that need surgery. How rediculous! The doctor in Silver Star Animal Hospital blackmailed me. They told me if I don't do X-Ray tests, they will not give me the healthy proof to my perfectly healthy dog. These doctors are bandits. Never going back again and definitely don't recommand this place.

The owner asks me if I'm even their customer, please feel free to check all your files, my dog is a miniature poodle names Max, We went there in Febuary 2018. And we got some medicine for canal cough and did an xray test! And I paid by debit card!

In stead of attacking customers by saying I never went there and spreading rumors, why not take the effort and do something else about this?

Have been sending my cats to them for a few years. Dr. Du is patient and knowledgable, and they respond to phones fast.

Dr. Du has give me lots of care for my puppies. Been with him for more than 4 years.helped me during morning when my puppy has very bad inflation on the eye and also gives extra care for my dog when she had baby at 2 am in the morning.very heart warming person. Thank you!

I am going to bring my dogs back to Silver Star Animal Hospital in the coming days for checkups. Having just read all the reviews about the clinic I'll look to confirm or refute the overly negative comments. I didn't recall it to be dirty one bit but certainly not lavish. I have to say I like him as a vet, his pricing to be fair and his spoken english to be acceptable and his comprehension of the situations to be right on.

I agree with the dreamy woman from Etobicoke, it's worth traveling to that end of the city to visit this veterinarian.

I'm surprised about all the negative reviews! I've been taking my 3 babies to Dr. Du for more than 5 years! And yes, Dr. Du is not a socialize person, but he definitely love & care the pets! Because of his personality, he seems rude sometimes.
I recalled around 5 years ago, my American Eskimo (who just passed away on Dec 2018 in 18 years of age) needed to remove one of his big tooth, I went to couple of Vet and price were between $1500 -$ 2000 included all the examinations. Dr. Du charge me $650, that's the first time I saw Dr. Du, mostly because of his price.
My same dog went back year after, had some losing teeth problem, and he was 14 years old. I asked Dr. Du if he can pulled off the bad teeth or going to be bad ones, because I don't want him under anaesthesia too many times, but Dr. Du insisted just remove the bad ones, didn't want my dog suffer too much pain, more teeth more price, since then, I know he's not a doctor just care about money, he cares for those little one!
Last week I went because one of my pomeranian peeing blood, Dr. Du had her x-ray done, he said surgery needed to be done ASAP, she had pyometra, I thought it's only urinary infections and just asked him to give me antibiotics. My dogs went home 2 days getting sicker & sicker even after taking the antibiotics, so I decided to do the surgery on the third day. I regretted I didn't listen to Dr. Du, it's much worse than I thought, even he warned me. Thank you Dr. Du for the successful surgery and my girls can eat and sleep well again.
Only star I deducted because of the cleanliness and environment.

The vet was so rude he closed the door on me and my cat in one of the rooms and left. I was so confused. Later he returned and checked my cat. The price for a body check and deworming was 80$? Um excuse me? I do not trust anything this vet does, he is horrifying. Stay away and go to the Toronto Humane Society.

Worst vet ever. Use antibiotics on my kitten without carefully examine what’s going on. Not helpful at all, just want to charge you more. A vet with no professional standards and code.

Worst Vet clinic ever. The vet's guess would be as good as anyone walks in. So save your money and find a true professional. Hmmm.they do know how to charge you tho. Good luck

Worst animal hospital ever. Don't kill your pets. Save your money. The doctor is armature and awful. They don't even solve the problem and charge you more money than others. Most of the 5 star reviews are fake. Please don't trust them.

Okay. So this is what my friend's cat got after the treatment (please refer to the album in which there’s this cat whose eyes are totally bruised) - the cat broke his leg and was there for a fxxxxx simple treatment! He’s only 4 months old and obviously struggled a bit during the treatment therefore this is what their so called doctors did to "CALM" him down - by pressing there sorry fingers into the cat's eyes. Good on u SILVER STAR!

My friend realized the eyes were looking weird, the hospital told my friend to keep quiet in exchange for a free treatment. My friend refused so he ended up getting charged for $500+. What r u? Gangs or killers?

I swear I will make sure non of my friends and their families ever go to your place!
