Multiple children have been hit by a child on my children's bus on Multiple occasions, not to mention how many times the bus comes over an hour late or has no idea where to let children off for their stop and when we call to see what can be done for the safety of the children we are met with the rudest customer service I've delt with, telling us if you don't like it we can just cancel the bus route and you can figure transportation yourself, insted of fixing a safety concern for all children on the bus, every morning there is a safety concern in my children's particular bus, I could only imagine the amount of concern for the rest of the runs

Complete mess. Buses can start late, early, and arrive 20 minutes early or late for no reason whatsoever. 0/10

Disappointed in the lack of regard for student safety - requested a closer stop at least in the winter when it’s dark out in the mornings because I don’t feel safe with my child walking alone in the dark for 1 kilometre and was told that it’s not their responsibility, it’s mine to get her there safely. Also informed that the bus driver is disrespectful to the kids, and drove away when the kids that needed to get on were just crossing the street.

Wish I could give them zero stars. No complaints about the actual bus drivers, but the consortium is terrible. They do not care about children’s safety. When parents suggest minor route changes for safety concerns they are told no. The consortium is the reason school hours are now later which means kindergarten students are getting off the bus at 5pm.

My son rides the bus for 1.5 hrs each way per day. Yesterday he was on the bus in the heat for an extra 30 minutes because they can't seem to keep a driver on our route. Our kids are suffering and clearly based on the reviews here they don't care.

This is the most unorganized, unprofessional and cold hearted service I have ever dealt with and to think they manage the bus system that transports our previous children to and from school is mind boggling. As a concerned parent that had their child put on the wrong bus, I called to inquire why their “letter of change” did not actually state the change, certain wording is not present like “the changes are…”. I get a call back from an employee basically saying they don’t control the program to generate the letters that go out and nor do they take suggestions/concerns to try and make changes to this broken system. Saying they don’t have a designated stop it can be at any corner of the stated crossing streets, parents ARE NOT required to be at the bus stop (only kindergarten parents) and they are too busy to have these conversations as it’s out of their control. Are you not funded with tax payer dollars? So you don’t have the time to take the suggestion and bring it up on your next meeting? If your current program doesn’t allow you to enter important information, maybe it’s time to look into a new program vs saying this will not change so get used to it. That is not acceptable considering you’re basically saying you can take whatever route with our children and drop them off. So if a child gets off at the wrong stop who is to blame, the child? When the changes are bare minimum and sent out just before a long weekend.

No matter how much effort I put into finding whether buses are cancelled on this site, I have yet to get a result.

So many issues with this company and late pickups/dropoffs and inconsistent alert system. While many issues can be blamed on driver shortages, there is no excuse for putting our kids on busses that can't have the windows up in the middle of winter. Pic taken 3/6/2023 but this is a regular occurrence with bus 239. Driver herself agreed when I suggested the bus should be pulled off the road.

As a student myself i feel extremely angry and unsafe riding the bus, my driver is often 15 to 45 minutes late with no explanation, during extreme wind it isnt canceled, same for black ice, freezing rain and snow squalls, bus driver and consortium are awful, do better

I just read in todays Barrie today newspaper a story about the consortium not knowing there was going to be a snowy storm today in parts of the county! Hello.everyone knew this except it seems the staff at the consortium. They dont really care that students have to stand outside in -30 weather to wait for a late bus. They would not like it to happen to their children but its ok if its someone else: (If anyone gets a chance please read the story in the barrie today.

Me as a student I feel like they should call snow days more often because we already had a day this year with a snow squall all night and still going in the morning but then they kept the busses running and then I see on there Twitter a bus in a ditch it just annoys me to see that they don't care about canceling the busses even in bad weather.

Dealing with this "company" is brutal. Trying to change a stop location is near to impossible. The employee I dealt with was heartless and rude. My children take two separate buses, one in the morning that is overloaded, 3 kids in snowsuits to a seat and a different one in the afternoon, which is barely half full and has a much more pleasant driver. We have started to bring our kids to the stop with the empty bus as the bus is required to pick them up if they are at the stop. If the bus company will not work with us, why should we work with them? This consortium is a disgrace, plain and simple.

Absolutely zero consideration given for the community. A shameful organization that puts children’s lives at risk due to mismanagement being too cheap to do the service they exist to provide.

Simcoe county should be ashamed that they can’t even provide crossing guards if they’re going to incompetently run the transport services.

Don’t bother calling unless you plan to fight and even then to what end. They’re unwilling to discuss any options. The answer is no.

I am “2 meters too close to school” for my kids to get on the bus, which passes by our house? And I don’t have a vehicle. My children are 8 years old with autism and 4 years old first year of JK so they aren’t walking alone. Regardless of how close the school thinks we are we are still a 15 minute walk and for my kids in the winter this isn’t something I want them or myself doing every morning and when I call they say I can try to appeal it but will most likely be denied? No other school in the district comes this way because we are within the Ferndale school zone? I’m so unbelievably frustrated with the lack of care for kid’s transportation

My kids have yet to make it on time to school this year on the school bus. The bus is 15 minutes or more late for pickup and drop off every day. They literally do not care.

They refuse to move our bus stop. It is at the bottom of a steep hill at the corner of a very busy road. This week alone there have been 12 cars and a transport truck drove through the stop sign. All the drivers say it is unsafe yet they refuse to do anything about it. Someone is going to get seriously hurt.
