Large, clean, well stocked store with friendly staff. An excellent option if you’re looking for imported British food. Found some viral candy my daughter was looking for and the prices were reasonable.
Great selection of British/EU products from biscuits, crisps, sweets, and chocolate to frozen foods, canned goods, tea, and other beverages. The new redesign is fantastic with ample room to browse. Some great deals from time to time. Prices can be a bit higher than other shops even with tax included pricing. But their selection is second to none as far as I've seen. Staff is friendly and helpful.
This place is amazing is a one stop place for everything Irish or British or Scottish i have never seen a store with so many different items is like a grocery store right out of England so many new items i have never seen example smarties with white chocolate.if you like British items tis place is a must check
Nice clean shop. Helpful staff. Very expensive. I understand we all have to make money, but $7 for something that costs a pound? Especially when you can get the same stuff cheaper at Walmart or Loblaws.
Wow! Overwhelming selection of goodies that are not easy to find elsewhere. In particular, they have a great selection of candies and sweets. I opened both the Wispa and Cadbury within a day or two and both were very fresh - didn't taste like they were sitting around for a long time. I also like they have an area for discounted items to make those easier to find. There's a freezer section as well but I was here for the candy. Helpful, but not intrusive, staff.
As a British expat this is our go to place for frozen goods like bread, meats etc. As the quality is very good and the variety is decent. However their pantry goods are quite a bit more expensive than other British places in southern Ontario so tend to shop elsewhere for those. Nonetheless the selection is still good.
I couldn’t believe the prices. There are many other options in the GTA that have as good a selection for a more reasonable price. Went in there willing to spend $60-$70 but not if I was only going to walk out with 4 or 5 items.
Got here a bit early and the atmosphere was great. Friendly staff and excellent products (preserves/jams/marmalades) are what you should expect when you visit.
As a little side note, just wished they carried the regular thick/medium cut orange marmalade from Wilkin & Sons.
Your go to store for the most popular UK food (including Scottish e.g. Irn-Bru). Short drive from T. O, big freezers for those yummy pies and they're pretty well stocked up these days.
Quite the premium over the original UK prices, but that's to be expected. No bakery, but plenty of frozen bake-your-own items. Only place so far where I've found the Linda McCartney line of frozen food.
An excellent selection of hard to find import foods and beverages. Always have my Irn Bru and cheese and onion crisps. Was able to safely order online and pick up at the store with everything ready to go. Convenient location very easy to get to and of course friendly happy staff
VERY DISAPPOINTED with my order placed on October 17th and received today December 8th
I ordered a Marks and Spencer Christmas Cake, plus various other items to the value of $344.98. When my card was debited at the end of November it showed a charge of only $278.79. I called the Simply British Store number, to query what was missing, only to be told that I would get a paper in the package explaining what was not included! When I stated that I would already know what was missing by the time I opened the package, I was again told to wait! The package eventually arrived today with NO Marks and Spencer goods including NO CAKE. Plus there was NO invoice or written explanation! I have been left to search the internet, now last minute, for alternative suppliers of Christmas Cake, and was able to order from Blighty’s who state they have stock. I will continue to shop with Blighty’s in future and NOT Simply British who do not offer good service or explanations!
Normally, we are very happy with their products, but after eating their Melton Mowbray pie yesterday that I had bought Thursday, I had a very difficult night with stomach problems. Of course, I telephoned this morning to let them know. Instead of reacting positively, I was told that I shouldn't have warmed it in the oven before eating it. There is nothing wrong with heating it and I know that many do so. Besides, heating would not have caused the stomach problems The man at the other end of the phone would not listen. All I wanted to do was help them and they have upset a customer instead. Before heating, we noticed that the Saran wrap cover was torn. We were not seeking anything except to prevent this happening to others. Bad customer relations.
Note: We were contacted immediately after this posting by the owner who was quick to satisfy our concerns. We will be back
This is the real deal. For selection, quality and service they don't miss a beat. Just finished a lunch of beef & onion pie and a packet of cheese and onion crisps. Fabulous! I might as well have been sitting in a pub in Manchester. I will be back.
This store is a gem of a place! They carry a nice selection of products. The staff do a great job to ensure pandemic measures are followed. Worth a visit!
I placed an order online for a custom gift basket so I got to pick the items I wanted. The order was prepared and shipped in record time with tracking number. The customer service was excellent and provided a photo of the purchase as requested and it looks awesome. Such an easy and great process!
I shopped on sunday and got everything I came for plus some extras. I bought some pies and tonight I had the chicken leek and bacon and have to say it was really good. It had a lovely flavour and a good amount of filling. I would definitely buy it again. I I alsobought th e steak pies but have not tried these yet.the lady behind the counter was also very courteous and friendly. I enjoyed our chat
One of the few locations where Home Pride Curry is still available. Easy to maneuver website and ordered my items online. Efficient delivery and well packaged. Will happily order with Simply British Foods again.
Tried multiple times to get information regarding ordering a product - despite replying to emails haven’t yet been given the quote to order in the product. After three months of not getting anywhere, I ordered it from British Corner Shop and it came in time for Christmas!
First time there, the lady serving informed us how the owner tried many bakeries before he settled on one. Bought a bunch of items, store layout is good, Could not wait to try the Scottish meat pies, the first thing I did notice is they are only half filled with meat and the pie crust seems to be common crust nothing special. The pie had no taste at all. I won't name the other Scottish bakers nearby but they won't have to worry about losing customers for meat pies, I also got the meat and gravy pies that I was told will bring me back. I hope so because the pies I just tried would not bring me back.
Nice little british shop. Friendly owner. Lots of great items. Taxes were included so you feel a little like you are in the UK. Eould visit again if in the area.
Good place to some day to day stuff. The quality of the product is good and the price was also decent. The place was lil bit crowd. Perfect place for bulk purchase.
