The WORST company ever. Definitely they are scammers on the innocent. You end up with them years on a contract that you cannot afford to buyout and now I don't even have an option on how to pay. How does a company not have any option for their payments. That is such a SCAM and RED FLAG for those thinking of purchasing with them. DO NOT. You will end paying so much more in the long run. Please be aware.

This company is scum. How else do you refer to a company that takes advantage of someone with disabilities. I have tried for months to deal with this company. Big run around! They are a joke of a company. I have provided them with everything they requested. Power of Attorney papers a doctors note stating that my cousin did not have the capacity to enter into the agreement at the time. I was told weeks ago that I would hear back in 24 hours! What a joke! Please, please run as fast and as far as you can from this company. Read reviews from all platforms.they are scum.the BBB can't even keep up with their complaints.

This is an experience of the company being only as good as it's representatives. Candace English the phone representative was outstanding in her handling of my service call. I was frustrated about not getting a technician after calling many times and taking 5o several representaves. But Candace alone managed to make this happen within 24 hours since I called. She also sent me information I asked for by email and was really amazing in the service she provided. I think she deserves a promotion! As to Simply Green, they need to hire more people like her to go beyond just processing the service calls to ensuring it happens. Thanks Candace.

You cannot go wrong with SimplyGreen! They are awesome and one of the best experiences in recent times, dealing with a business.

I just moved to Kitchener and was looking for a water treatment solution for the whole house. HomeDepot hooked me up with SimplyGreen! Or should I say SimpleAwesome!

Here’s my experience:

1st Positive:
Peter was our sales rep. He was on time and conducted a thorough assessment of our water quality (which is completely free) and advised the options based on our needs. He knows his stuff and there was no sales pitch - sincere opinion and let us choose what we want.

Not your typical sales rep - he has been in constant touch with us and made sure we had all answers and service that was promised. Went above and beyond!

2nd Positive:
We were worried about the cost. But, they offer on spot financing and monthly amount is less that 8*24 packs of Aquafina - this includes whole house softener + under sink RO+ Alkaline filters for drinking water. We got all 3 installed.

3rd Positive:
Installation was quick and next day.

Bonus:
They replaced my kitchen sink as a courtesy without any cost - sent a excellent tech separately just to install my sink. I can’t thank them enough.

2 Days after install got a courtesy call from customer service to check if all was good and that we weee happy.

In recent months, have dealt with multiple HVAC, plumbing and service companies - but experience with SimplyGreen was out of this world.

Summary: I rate companies on their service and not products. A company may have standard products but excellent customer experience can more than make up for it. And, SimplyGreen has both good products + Red Carpet service.

It was a very wonderful experience in the beginning, Mr. Peter came as a representative from the company he did explain everything about this water system, he was a wonderful guest and gave a full explanation of all the information and water tests, and this is all free, and then if you choose to move forward and choose to benefit from their various purification systems, You can enjoy it within a very few days. Installing a water treatment system in our home is a decision our family will never, ever regret!

To top it off Brenton was super friendly and knowledgeable when he came to test our water. We really enjoyed learning how treating the water makes such a difference. Customer service has also been amazing. Prompt and always available when we have questions. We'd highly recommend this company for water treatment.

So far an awful experience. I wish more due diligence was done before signing up. Reading up on many things now including the class action lawsuit filed in July 2021. Please read the filing.
Update - called last week and was told an account manager or someone from Dispute Management would be in touch with me within 24 hours. It's the end of a new week and no call yet. The customer service line is useless, why can I not talk to an Account Manager straight away.another update, requested updated buyout info - had to follow up three times and still have incorrect and inadequate information.
Customer Service is a joke as it does not exist.if you are thinking of signing up for services with Simply Green - get your head checked. Why was the fact that by signing up the company takes a lien out on your house not outlined by the Sales Person - this has been a complaint by numerous individuals - I assume this is strategic I will keep this updated with my progress - if I get any.

We rent a hot water tank with Simply Green and there had been 4 instances within 2 months where water gushed out of the overflowing pipe creating large puddles of water in my basement. Each of the first 3 times, a part was replaced (gas valve, burner, valve to the TMT), but obviously, the issue never got resolved completely. The 4th time (most recent incident) they sent someone out but did not fix anything because the technician said he could not identify any issue and saw no signs of flood (duh, coz it took them 12 hours to come and we turned off the water line, switched off the hot water tank and spent half an hour cleaning up as soon as we saw puddles of water all over our basement floor). Simply Green refuses to send another technician over for a second look, refuses to replace the tank, refuses to offer any credit relating to this. Basically, the only thing we were told was to call back when water comes out again. So, we are now in a situation where we need to wait for another leak to happen (which I know will happen in another few weeks), not shut the water line and leave the hot water tank on so the water can continue to overflow until the technician comes (which is usually 12+ hours later) just to prove to him that there is an issue! SERIOUSLY? !
I also want to make a point on how painful and cumbersome the process is in order to get service arranged. First of all, despite they say there's a 24 hour hotline, if you happen to call them after hours, you simply reach a generic call center and have to leave a message with someone so that Simply Green will contact you during office hour. Even if you call during business hour, you would think you can get an appointment with the technician during the call, NO. The first call was to report you have an issue, and then you hang up and wait for 5-6 hours before someone from dispatch team will call you and set up an appointment with you. Funny enough, you get another call from the dispatch team who basically tells you that your request is currently being processed, and someone will call back afterwards (cannot advise when that call will happen). Then, finally, the contractor calls and schedule an appointment which, by the way, would offer a next day appointment until you complain and demand for a same day appointment. This whole process took me 10 hours last night from when I first made the call to when I could secure an appointment. Imagine going through this whole process 4 times over the last 2 months! Similar issue happened at my old place with Reliance and it was soooo simple to set an appointment with the technician. One call - done, and technician come the next day. Whole process took less than 10 min.
We are stuck with Simply Green for another 32 years because the lease came with the house (did I mention, my house is only 2.5 years old?) If there is no penalty to get out of the lease contract right now, we would do it right away with no doubt!

Very frustrating experience in dealing with this company. Days and days of calls and follow-up calls and missed promises. All they had to do is to fix the water equipment I pay for each month due diligently. It took me 4 days, without hot water of course, and endless numbers of calls with various service reps to get an appointment. If you can find a way not to deal with them it will save you lots of frustrations and save you lots of your time, so simply stay away. I have felt any other company would be a better solution.

Had a leak from our tankless water heater. Called and left a message. Abdul called back almost immediately and booked a service appointment for the next day. Technicians were prompt. Turned out it needed to be replaced. Abdul handled scheduling replacement and it was replaced within 2 days. Abdul was very diligent with follow up, extremely polite and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Give this guy a promotion!

The service Technician Azad was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the service of replacing an above ceiling hot water heater. A+ service to say the least and he cleaned the work area so well when he finished that you would not know that there was ever a mess.

It took some time to sort things out as my problem revolved around a water softner company that had gone bankrupt and a contract that was inherited by Simply Green Home Services. I was asked "why it took so long for me to come forward" and my honest answer was that "I wasn't aware of how things should have been done when the system was installed". This information once documented allowed for my case to be resolved in a professional manner at that point going forward. Thank you very much Nicole. Much appreciated.

Wasn't happy about maskless installers showing up. Didn't like that they were an hour early without a call. Told me my ducts were clogged around the furnace so they cleared the filter side for the installation but left the air conditioner side clogged and told me to hire someone to deal with it (I thought I did). Anyways. I have a new furnace with heat.different brand than what I was told. I'll deal with the clog myself I guess but I was left with some reservations. They cleaned up properly, I'll give them that.

A representative (Craig Prince) called me to upgrade my hot water tank and signed me up for a 10 year contract. The tank was to be delivered the following day which it never was. No phone call. No email. Nothing. I called Simply Home Services and inquired about what had happened. Govind in the billing dept patiently reviewed my current agreement and advised that I was not eligible for the upgraded water tank since my tank is only 8 years old. The promotion is for tanks 10 years or older. He also provided me details of my current agreement (which I didn’t know much about because I inherited this from the prior owner of the home). I left the call feeling relieved and with a much better understanding of what Simply Green service offers.
The sales tactic by the original representative that called me was not good though. Signing up ineligible clients just to make numbers is not a good way of doing business. The company really needs to look into THAT.

I had problem with my rental water heater. When I contacted my vendor, they sent them to fix the issue. Issue was fixed to my satisfaction, in a timely manner. Service personnel was on time, professional, courteous and efficient.

Agreed to upgrade my hot water tank. Due to COVID, negotiations were over the phone, and no assessment of my needs was done. I agreed to a 50gl unit, they installed a damaged 60gl. Less than a year later, unit is malfunctioning. Sales promised a lot, but none of their promises came true. My contract is pretty blank, no assessment, no specifics of what was installed, and I will be cancelling it.

Installing a new furnace, Air cond or water heater? The best choice is to buy rather than fall into a rental contract. If you ever get into a rental contract, you are bound to pay for 15 years, with an ever increasing annual premium, and a tax portion above that with each premium. And you will end up paying about 15K for a piece of equipment. And the warranty they offer. We rarely use it. About me, I only called only once in the last 5 years which was for a minor water leak. So it's not worth paying a huge premium in return for seldom maintenance visits. When I thought of cancelling my contract after 5 years with simply green, I got a buyout quote of $8000, which was on top of the 5000 that I had already paid off as premiums. So I suggest the best option is buying rather than renting, which may cost only less than $4000. And you get your freedom from any obligations. There are even equal payout options available with 0% financing.   For the worst scenario, if someone worries that the furness may break down without a protection plan, it is nothing when compared with the 15000 rental pay; one can buy 3 to 4 furnessess with that payout. But in real life furness breakdowns seldom happen. You get the peace of mind that, if you sell your home there are no contracts to be worried about. I think this info is helpful for those who are planning to rent the equipment. Thankyou
