Six Foot Bay Resort and Golf Course

I drive in from Toronto for this place. Has to be one of my favourite courses. Absolutely beautiful place! Highly recommended.

Was out golfing with some friends when I witnessed the owner go into a rage over a patron bringing his children to golf. With children of my own I can confidently say I won't be coming back after that. Absolutely unprofessional.

I purchased a foursome for 6 Foot Bay in a silent auction held for a charity tournament. I am so glad I did! This course is extremely fun to play. Has some beautiful holes. Long views through the Pine forest. Has some fun and unique Par 3's. Has it's own version of the "Swilcan Bridge"! Also some unique Tee deck setups. Course was in great shape. Beverage Cart was by frequently with a little half-way house at #10. I would play here again and definitely recommend. We had an awesome day on a great Golf Course!

Had an amazing golfing experience here. I went with a few buddies for 9 holes a few weeks ago. The man in the clubhouse was super friendly and our carts were ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We had the last tee time which worked out well for us. The guy told us to play a few more holes as it was easier to get back to the clubhouse off one. The course itself is well maintained. My buddies say it’s the best course in the area. I haven’t played them all so I’m passing the message on. Lots of nature to see and Beautiful grounds. I will definitely be coming back for more golf.

Course was in great shape as usual -shout out to the grounds guys. Melissa and her team very accommodating the entire stay. Cabins clean and ready early as usual. Looking forward to 2023!

THE best golf course in the area. Course is always in perfect condition, bar cart is frequent, and the dining room will ensure a well rounded day. GTA guests of mine were awed by the quality & value on the day.

Great course. Warning. This course plays really slow on weekends. We played a 5 hour 45 min round Friday. Maybe they can rename the course 6 hour bay?

Very nice course and the staff at the pro shop were very friendly and helpful, however our group was falsely accused and harassed by the owner on multiple occasions for bringing in and consuming our own alcoholic beverages during our round of golf. Even though we explained and proved to him that we only bought drinks from the cart girl, the owner then went of out his way to confront us another time during our round and threatened to kick us out. Our group also tried to deescalate the situation but the owner continued to confront us until we decided to turn away. These confrontations ruined our day and we will not be returning due to this extremely unprofessional behaviour. Very disappointing for such a nice course to have an owner who treats his customers in this manner.

As a waited for my tee time at the gate, just killing time prior to my round, owner approached me telling me that neighbours told him i played for feee last year, calling me a liar and all kinds of names. I was shocked. He kept on harrasing me untill i just left the place. Very inhumane. This man should get his licence to operate the course confiscated.

Great track to play! If you go you won't be disappointed as it has challenges after every turn. The scenery is magnificent.

Shout out to Six Foot Bay. A reliable, honest and hard working staff provide an anchor to this exceptional golf course and resort. I suggest using the pool where the kids can play around as the staff will happily take the time to mix you unexpectedly premium drinks that will force you to order more. Though not a huge golfer, I’ll say it’s enjoyable. Great place all around.

Beautiful resort with amazing amenities and a beautiful golf course. Cottages are right on the lake making for a breathtaking view and great early morning fishing with the kids right off of your personal dock.

Couple tiny improvements.distance plates and fairway markers should be more prominent and more bathrooms! Will definitely go back!

Nice fairways like soft carpet.greens were nice but the people playing have no respect.talking care of the greens, (repairing devots) I still give it 2 thumbs up. ️
Great time smashing balls. Also their is nice little honey bees roaming around.

Fabulous resort with comfortable amenities, friendly staff and great food. Golf course is kept in wonderful conditon.

We have gone on an annual boys golf trip here every year for the last 10 years. Nothing but great experiences at Six Foot Bay. We had a large family trip last summer and we loved it as well.

This is the perfect place to keep your permanent trailer, rent from their ake from cottages or play a round of golf on one of the most impressive courses in the area.

Fantastic course with great scenery! Also reasonable priced, would definitely recommend for a great day of golf!

There was so much to like about this place so I feel bad to put 4 stars instead of 5. Things I liked: stunning view. Some very nice mature trees, in a beautiful setting. Quality restaurant, and a very nice laundromat. The pool setup was great for kids. They provided a Napoleon charcoal bbq. The back deck was amazing. Beautiful golf course.

The negatives: cottages are older. This is to be expected, but there were annoyances that shouldn't have been there. Our cottage didn't have a door sweep on the back door. The two door locks were different keys, and the one in the back was barely usable. When we arrived, the garbage outside of the cottage wasnt picked up.

Overall this was a great place that I would go back to for sure.

I have played many courses in different countries and this course is outstanding in the beautiful way in which it is structure d and maintained. The use of flowers and old agricultural machinary strategically places effectively enhances the course. A very enjoyable experience on different levels with great staff who are most receptive and helpful. Terrific experience!

My father In-law and I play this course 2-3 times a week and absolutely love it! Staff are super friendly, course is always in great shape. We look forward to playing here every time!

My parents have a trailer here, and we absolutely love coming here to visit them, this is their little Oasis and they just love being here! Great people, grounds and pool are always so clean.

This is probably the nicest public golf courses in the Kawartha lakes. Every single hole is beautiful in its own way. The golf course itself was built to compliment most golfers, it plays fair from all tees and is not necessary to play driver of most holes. Fairways are narrow, and greens are welcoming. Ive played all of courses in the area, and for $75 cash you will not play a better course.

Awesome course! Great layout amongst the natural beauty. Cart paths could use some repair work but all in all would highly recommend. Wondering why 6 foot is not a sanctioned course under GAO for handicapping

Amazing place/location and we enjoyed every min of our one week family stay there. Food is fantastic and the fish tacos are my favorite (the burger too!) I will highly recommend it if you have young children (my 3 years old loved it!). Patty was supper helpful and got back to me quickly when I had any question or request. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way staff treated my niece who was staying with us. She was working full time during week days and needed WiFi and a plug from 7am-4 pm Who she confirmed before arrival that will be available for her but staff end up giving her hard time about it. When she told one staff that the day before she was allowed to use the plug by the pool The staff answer wa: I can’t take your word for it I have to ask my manger Melissa who at one point told her to leave her staff alone! Very disappointed for this treatment

When an issue is escalated to a manager but they don't allow the customer to talk and starts lecturing and reacting while stating false statements is why I'm giving a rating of one star. It’s bothersome for the customer to have to defend and explain themselves over and over again. I even had to let accusations and disrespect pass because it was exhausting enough to deal with the staff, so I let the misunderstanding be as I just wanted the (one-way, with manager speaking over me) conversation to end.

I got confirmation from Patty that there's an outdoor place which allow guests to both charge and connect to internet for work purposes (typically 9am-5pm), prior to my visit to the resort. I clearly stated to Patty that I would be happy to stay home and not join my Aunt’s trip to the cottage if my work there could be interrupted (ie having my laptop battery or wifi connectivity dying on me). I never considered asking for an exception and did my due diligence by calling ahead because I too am living in the same pandemic, doing my part, and well aware of the law and the precautions.
When I arrived and didn’t find a plug by the patio I asked the staff where can I charge my laptop and continue to work? Some wires appeared to extend from indoors reaching outdoors and I don't think we can touch any of them (brainstorming mode asking for a solution!). They said there are NONE, no outlets for outdoors use. Which striked me since I had called ahead to check for that specifically and already gotten a confirmation -I informed them of this too. So I suggested, as a hopeless last resort, sitting inside by a far plug from everyone, which justifiably wasn't allowed for covid reasons, I wasn't fixated about working indoors nor did I not take no for an answer, and when the staff seemed unable to assist, I requested calling the manager whom I spoke with prior to my arrival (didn’t know her name then), and they responded: "she'll tell you what we're telling you", so I had to insist for them to connect me with her, and got Melissa instead of Patty on the phone, whom didn’t start by a greeting or inquiring about the issue and as I was saying “good mor. ” she started the call by “no you can’t sit indoors go charge in your cottage, why didn’t you charge it overnight? ” I had to explain I work 8 hours and laptop lasts on battery for 2 only, plus there's no wifi in the cottage, and that I had already gotten confirmation from a manager but not sure if she’s the same one I had spoken to. After several rounds of having to listen to Melissa lecturing about things I did not even bring up, I finally got the information that there’s a plug by the poolside and so the staff unlocked the door.
Next day I worked on the patio 8-10am then I informed the staff that I need to charge my laptop by the poolbar like I did yesterday, kindly asking them to allow me to go there. They said they can’t let me out before 11am.so I clarified that the manager approved this yesterday and I'm working daily, even sat there at 9am the day prior. They said “can’t take your word for it”. Finally after involving Melissa once more (over the phone) they let me out.only for the manager to follow-up and in person, and come up to me asking me to, and I quote, "leave my staff alone". Stating that I keep trying to sit inside and implying that I'm trying to sneak my way on staying in.
Melissa, I had no problem with working outside and the main and only issue was finding a plug. Which had already been solved for the day prior to our in-person meeting. I had absolutely no issue with working outdoors, as it was my expectation from the very beginning. The staff had no reason to make it sound that they're calling for back-up, when I simply asked them to call the manager, not as an escalation but to inquire about the previously obtained confirmation. Instead of you clearing the air and acting neutral until you understand the issue by hearing the customer, you reacted based on a story delivered via broken communication and false presumptions, and put me in a weird position.

Very good golf course. They called to cancel because of rain, we didn't get the message, some drove over an hour to golf. When we called back we got their machine, Luckily the weather cleared and we golfed. They should ensure they contact people in person.

Well maintained fairways and greens, no signage or book whatsoever for water shots. No Marshall, stuck behind extremely slow group taking 10 shots each. Staff inside provided very poor service, but were very friendly.

Truly excellent track! The conditions were great, even if you didn't consider the extremely hot and dry weather we've been having. Never seen so many dragonflies in my life! Every golf course should be breeding the things. I'd REALLY have to nitpick to find anything negative to say. It provided me with a good challenge. The only thing I would say is watch your step walking up the stairs on the first tee of I'm the early morning or after some rain, it's pretty slick. But I know for next time. Worth the drive and I'll definitely be back for some front nine vengeance. Great course.

It's probably the nicest trailer park as well as resort and golf course that I've ever seen. Also has a great restaurant

Been playing that magnificent golf course for over 12 years, always in superb shape, fun and challenging. Great staff up there along with excellent food.
