SIXT - Rent a car Toronto airport

I’ve been renting for months in Toronto/Vancouver while waiting for sixt to come to Canada, as we have them in France, they finally arrived in Toronto.
It’s off airport which is the only minus, but they have a free shuttle and you just have to take the little train to the parking (free) and they pick you up there.
They have an amazing fleet and they actually HELP and arrange you, and answer to the direct line!
I’ve tried all other renters for the past few years as I rent for business monthly, and it’s by far the best. The rest are always sketchy and overcharge you if you ask for any service.

I’m not usually rating but people have to know in Canada that for the past 10 years in Europe/US Sixt is the number one.

Great team at Sixt. Helped me with my rental and even offered a premium car at the time of pickup, I declined the offer due to previously being BMW owner, I know how juicy those cars can be. Anyway, I welcomed the offer!

The car I chose was a Toyota Rav4. It was a good drive and was clean. There were a few marks on the bodywork which I shared with the team and they were already aware of this, so this kept me at ease.

The return process was also easy.

One thing to bear in mind is the extra insurances they offer. This is something your credit card may already cover so ask them first. You might be able to save yourself some money.

Be careful, they quote you less but then bill you high and then you run around to fix it from head office to the airport office.
You can never get hold of the Toronto Airport location manager who hides and never contacts you back. Poor customer service.

Great rental company, everyone was very friendly. They also offer shuttles to and from the airport. I would definitely use them again.

To be honest I was a little worried about all the less than 5 stars reviews for Sixt Toronto.however for me, I had a very good experience with Sixt, from the Instruction email I received, to the friendly staff, to the car experience. I will totally rent again from Sixt on my next visit.

I was very well taken care of.everything went as planned.the car that was waiting for me was superior to the one I had booked. It was easy to pick up the car and deliver it.l

This YYZ Sixt is a total nightmare! All the bad reviews tell the same story - rude, disrespectful, entitled, unknowledgeable staff. An inconvenient, confusing, distant journey from airport to be mistreated. AND not even end up with a vehicle! I’ve always loved Sixt - rented 60 days in 2023. So after 40yrs of worldwide car rentals, not much phases me. But this Sixt is something else. It must be a franchised one, because they make up their own rules here, like other customers said. Corporate needs to pull in the reigns on this one, or close it.
PS: After reading the feedback about suspicious post-rental damage charges from this location, very relieved I rented at Avis

I initially gave a one star review here, but changed it to five stars because of nebula Hossain thank you so much for changing my experience with the Toronto location six to them a wonderful, and deserve promotions

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Terrible customer service picked up the car at 9pm returned it at 9: 20pm the next day, and got charged two days instead of one. On the invoice they wrote I returned it at 10: 10pm, the reason is because there is one person didn’t do my return until 50min later because he s backed up with other customers. I trusted that he would return the car properly and on time. Was I supposed to wait an hour for him? !

Also got charged $30 in refueling charges. The car started with not a full tank and I returned with a full tank. The car to fuel up in full takes $60!

These guys are terrible avoid at all costs.

Best rental agency in town! During my stay in Toronto I have rented cars from multiple different companies and I can honestly say that Sixt at Toronto airport is the best. They have the lowest rates, best cars, all low milage and really clean. However the best thing about them is the service. All of staff is really kind and helpful and they do everything for you to have smooth and wonderfull experience. My wife and I thank all of Sixt staff, especially Ceyhun for providing an exceptional service and experience.

One of the best rental car services that I have come across. Their standard ls are very high and would like to call out Nadim and Pratik who were awesome.

If renting in Toronto be sure to take the train to Viscount station and give them a call. Do not walk to the rental garage where the other agencies are. After I figured that out the rest of the experience was smooth.

Rental car station is outside the airport.
You have to take the ring shuttle train to the pickup point, call and then take the car shuttle to the station.

Service is not good at this location.

Cars are not there and service is not high…

Dealt with SIXT in many places and this is below my expectations.

It was an exceptional experience.

At time of picking up. Mr Sanjay was very helpful and gave me a great upgrade for the rental

The car was new fully loaded with all options and almost 60% less of the price compared to other companies

I would definitely go rent from them again when visiting Toronto

At returning the car everything was smooth and the team who received the car was so helpful.kudos to you guys for this excellent service.keep it up

Best ever experience with everything.except at airport, no information on sixth website about, to take train and exit at Viscount station. I was mesmerized, how to reach uptil shuttle.

I can’t believe the utter disrespect and unprofessionalism this company has for people in general.
My daughter applied for a Customer Service role with Sixt Car Rental back in September. She was called in for not only one but four interviews. First interview was with Norman the Regional Recruiter, second with Meri, the Branch manager, third with the company’s VP, Leo and finally with a manager named Assad.
Waiting a week after her last interview, I advised her to call and email the company to see if there was an update. No call back and no email returned. I guess what I’m saying is after four interviews and stringing someone along for such a lengthy time period, the right thing to do would have been to call her to let her know she didn’t het the job.
If anyone’s thinking of applying, don’t!
