Sixth Sense Spa & Nail Lounge

I went for a regular shellac manicure and pedicure, i did the classic french design on both hands & toes & ordered a mimosa.i love this place, but looking back at it i spent $145 (without tip) to essentially have some gel put on my natural nails, a drink and was also charged for 2 broken nails as well - which is ridiculous because i only had 2 cracks which would only need a bit of glue and didn’t require actual fixing.if i had realized the cost, i would’ve made her also redo them all completely because the paint job was uneven on both hands and feet (im a model and often under a spotlight which is why that would even matter) but i mainly get my nails done just to keep them short and neat.i was also cut 3 times and I woke up this morning with what looks like an infection on both of my big toes, more so the left which is why i decided to write this review.i come very regularly but i do feel that i pay beyond what is necessary as a frequent occurrence and i will be monitoring what i get charged for & how much they each cost.

The place is always great! Very professional and the staff are great! I gave them an 8 out of 10 rating. The reason for the rating is due to a few things.

1. My appointment showed it was with a gentleman but the person that did my service was a women.not an issue but not what I was expecting. And they didn't tell me of the change. I guess this is normal?

2. The service for my pedicure was great but for my manicure it was not what I was expecting. I wanted almond shape nails but some looked more oval than almond. I like my nails really short but not all were the same length. I also wanted design to which I gave a picture of. She said she will try. But that was a failure. It was not what I wanted.

My advice, if you've never attempted a design don't try cause it really makes the difference between great experience vs none at all. Although she offered to remove it, I was already at the stage of dissatisfaction so it wasn't going to help and I didn't want to make it more worse and time consuming as it was.

I will definitely return but their associate should really understand her strength and weakness and leave the design to someone who can do it

Tried them out for the first time for a pedicure. My nail technician "Tee" was great. I didn't feel rushed and was very comfortable. Location is very spacious and clean. Have been back multiple times.

Emma is one of the best nail techs there along with Longe. Emma did my nails and eyebrows and she took her time and I did not rushed. Sometimes they are super busy and I feel rushed. I did a brand new dip set yesterday and my nails look stunning 10/10! She did an eyebrow tint as well and I was quite pleased as she made my eyebrows look thicker which is what I wanted! Both ladies are super sweet and pay attention to detail. Plus this place makes the best lattes which is a complimentary services when you are a paying customer. Love this place!

Kim is an amazing nail tech. She's professional, talented & kind. She takes her time and you can tell she takes so much pride in her work! Sixth Sense goes above and beyond ALWAYS!

Nice salon but receptionists were very unfriendly. Why make an appointment when they make you wait almost 30 mins.a little consideration and kindness goes a long way. I wont be back

I have visited this place a couple of times for various services ranging from manicures, pedicure, facials, kids meni n pedicure and everytime the service is excellent. The staff is friendly n professional. I highly recommend this place!

Jacy was so amazing, clean and sweet! I loved her help picking colours and attention to detail.

I went in to get an acrylic fill on my natural nails with Molly. She understood that I wanted a thin layer of acrylic powder, to keep my almond shape and I wanted simple, neutral colour with a hint of pink. She chose a stunning colour by OPI. She sculpted, filed, painted and cured my nails to perfection. I drove all the way from the airport for this manicure and I’m blown away. My nails look absolutely stunning! I will definitely be back for sure!

I had Emily for my pedicure and she was great. She paid a great deal of attention and was very amicable. The spa itself can use well trained personnel for eye brow shaping, threading, and waxing. Overall, I would book another pedicure with Emily. It was a good experience.

My fiance and I have been here three times for our pedicures and we are never disappointed. All tools used come from fresh, sterile, sealed packages. The nail salon is large and does not feel crowded when you are getting your services done. We always are offered water, tea or coffee. From our last visit, Dina and Savanah were amazing. Would highly recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. From the high quality massage chairs to the friendly staff and bonus.a bar! They also offer non alcoholic drinks for free and my nails look amazing. 10/10 would recommend!

I got my nails done here in January. The place was near empty but the technician (Ashley Nguyen) rushed anyway and drilled my *natural* nails down aggressively for no reason before applying the dip powder.

It's been over 3 months since my appointment, and my nails are still dented and damaged from the drill. They are flimsy and break constantly. The customer service was also lacklustre. I was never offered a drink, and the tech barely spoke to me except to try to upsell me. Pretty bad experience overall.

I’ve given this place a few chances and my only good experience was my first time I went (booked with Loan). I brought a party of 6 here into their really nice party room, 3 of us had to go back a couple days later to fix our nails. They did our manicures standing up and they didn’t come out too well (shocking). I went in today for a shellac removal ($10 on website) but they charged me $15 because I said they could cut my nails (didn’t say it was an extra $5). All other salons I go to do not charge that much and especially do not charge extra to cut nails during a shellac removal. My girl was also so rough and in a rush. She wasn’t even looking at my nails for most of it (cammy?). Best part was when my nail clippings almost hit me in my eye. Go here only for the vibes, not for good treatments.

Because Judy is amazing simply amazing. She is detail oriented. She makes sure the customer is happy, I mean what else you want.

This spa is the BOOM! Ann did an amazing job OMG she’s the best. She was, professional and very knowledgeable. She made me felt soooo comfortable.

It was my first time going to this nail spa after reading good reviews online. I made an appointment to get a shellac manicure done. My nail tech was Alex - he wasn't that pleasant with regards to his customer service. I told him I had sensitive skin while he was cutting my cuticles and cut me when my finger started to bleed. When I pulled my hand away in pain, his tone was rude when saying "do you want me to cut it, or not". With regards to his work, my shellac is already lifting on 2 different fingers and it has not even been 24 hours. In addition to my experience, I was offered a complimentary beverage 20 minutes into my service (which is a cool touch to their service), however this is while I watched a new customer walk in and she was serviced immediately as she sat down for her pedicure. It was not busy when I went in for my appointment, it just goes to show not everyone is treated with the same care. 3-star for having great space, but overall, it's overhyped.

This is a nice, spacious place. I've only had a pedicure so far. It was nice. I'd go back for a pedicure and try some other services as well.

I went in with my partner for mani and pedis and we had excellent service from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed and serviced immediately (we did make reservations). My nail tech Rosa was very professional and a great conversationalist. She made me feel welcomed and I had wonderful service. My nails still look very fresh after a week and a half! I opted for gel polish on my natural nails and no chips at all! My partner Sultan went in for a gentleman’s pedicure and manicure and he was very impressed with the service as well.

Also note: they do have complimentary iced coffees and other drinks! They also told us they will open more services like a massage parlour and other amenities. We will be definitely be going back!

This place was horrible! Nail polish painted all over my skin around my nails. I told her not to file, she couldn’t stop filing. I wanted to wash my hands before she put cream on she said no. She painted my nails with dust from using the drill. She was sooo freaking drill happy. I swear to me that is a form of laziness for shellac and powder gel removal. Never again.

Recently started getting my nails done. This is my favorite nail lounge. Molly did my nails today, exactly the way I wanted them. Clean and Sharp. She was very polite and friendly throughout the process. I had such a nice day talking to her and rest of the team. Definitely booking her again for my next nail appointment! Thank you Molly:)

I went to the King street location downtown and the service and salon was AMAZING. The salon is beautiful and everyone I interacted with was fantastic. I had my gel refill and and nail art done by Ivy who was delightful, and my pedi done by Ang (or Ann?). The complimentary cappuccino and green tea were a really pleasant bonus! Can't wait to come back.

Been going here for a few oaths now. The team at Sixth Sense is great. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I even have my mom going there now. Anne is amazing for nails, she's always has new ideas and I've gotten so many compliments on my nails!

Emma was fantastic and spent the time needed to make my nails look stunning! The spa is large and clean. I loved the whole experience!

I came in today to get my nails done by Michelle and the experience was very underwhelming. At the beginning of my appointment, everything seemed fine as she seemed more warm towards me at the start of the appointment. Unfortunately as the time went by, it seemed that she was becoming more agitated like I was taking up her time.

I asked if it would be possible to add a design to my nails but she advised me that there was an extra cost (which I told her was no issue) and seemed annoyed that I wanted to add something to MY nails which is ridiculous in itself. I told her to forget it after that because I was honestly over her attitude during the appointment. The overall job she did on my nails was sloppy and absolutely rushed with the gel nail polish having air bubbles, rough texture and the nail shape looking like a mess overall. After I was done, she said nothing to me until I had to confirm if I was finished where I finally got a "yes" response from her. For someone who claims to have been doing nails for over 20 years, her customer service is lacking and very distasteful.

The only reason this review is getting 2 stars is because of Denise, who is probably the only nail tech I've had a great experience with here and the management here always treating the customers very well. It's a shame some of the nail techs don't follow management's lead in regards to customer service.

The entire staff are aways very friendly and professional. The spa is a very inviting and relaxing environment.

Ann did my nails and she was amazing! I showed a picture from their Instagram of the style I wanted. These are the bio gel nails plus nail art on two nails, 75.00 before tax and tip. I’m so impressed with this place, it’s my second time coming and I will be back again! Also the staff is so super friendly:)

As a guy that's never really been a patron for spa services in the past, the place is pretty comfortable, the staff make you feel welcome and the job (basic Manis and pedis) is better than I could have done by myself. Really no complaints

Salon is very big and bright. Would recommend booking an appointment before coming. Price is normal about $50 plus tax. Speaking as a man, the mani pedi was great. Can’t comment on nail deigns color etc. Complementary drinks are awesome. Snacks and alcohol are available to purchase. They went above and beyond to pour me apple juice in ice lol great people. Take their time with you. No rush. Good relaxing vibes. Will get a massage next time.

The lady that did my pedicure recently was great, the time before I was very disappointed. The nails the other lady did on my hands grew out within the week and she didn’t communicate to me that she couldn’t do a design before attempting so I could only assume she knew what she was doing. I also let her know that the length was something I wasn’t satisfied with before she put the acrylic powder on and she told me there was nothing she could do about it. I assumed it was their policy and left it alone and just decided to not return to do my nails again. I was very dissatisfied and spoke to the manger and she offered me a credit which I used on my last visit for my pedicure as I go elsewhere for my nails now. I don't like how they do acrylics because they are not great with designs so l can only do plain nails which sucks and they grow out quicker than anywhere else I’ve gotten them done. The pedicure that I received previously didn’t seem high quality either as I normally expect and my feet felt the same as when I went in by the next day. It seems like that girl was newer maybe because overall I was very unhappy with her service but that was the first time I did my feet there. The lady who did my feet this time around did a great job though l rebooked with her specifically. I recommend them for pedicures but not acrylics and not if you are looking for intricate details for your nails. Overall very clean, good customer service, professional and polite staff. They do a great job with my daughter and care for her with respect and delicacy which I really appreciate.

I came in without an appointment and was able to get a manicure pedicure done at the same time. The ladies were very quick and polite and did a great job.

Had the pleasure of having Loan as my technician. She was sweet and took her time with my mani and pedi. I loved how she was not harsh, and was gentle with the pedicure, compared to other places.

People who work there and service is amazing. I've never been to a nail salon that has been more patient and accommodating. I live about 30 min away but I will always make the drive.

Definitely not your typical nail salon. I love and enjoy that it's sooo spacious. Most staff were welcoming and looked very determined in their work. (Definitely not mad at that, I love to see it).

I was shocked they had a bar. A BAR! WHATTT? Definitely my new spot.

I felt 100% comfortable, the services was awesome. Not to mention the price was reasonable. For such a clean spacious place with amazing services, the price is worth it.

The place is very aesthetically pleasing and clean. The staff are very welcoming. I appreciated them taking the time to hear my concerns, as I damaged my big toe due to an injury… the listened and acknowledged (where other places say ok np). Additionally a male came over to ensure the technician was aware and was to be gentle. Additionally offered a beverage promptly, which was truly needed with all the running around I had to do that day. My technician was amazing, and double checked satisfactory of the lengthy and continuous shaping. Love the staff and services… they also have a VIP (which I used on a different occasion when I had a group of ladies join). Options are great.

Had an amazing experience here for my birthday. Soon as I walked in everyone greeted me and wished me a happy birthday which felt so nice. I wasn’t even expecting them to remember as I had just put it as a small blurb when I booked. The owner/manager walked over and personally wished me happy birthday which was really welcoming. Wendy did my mani pedi and she is absolutely amazing. I was so relaxed and felt like a queen. She went above and beyond for me and I appreciate everything that this spa did. I will definitely be back with my friends for a spa day.
