Jyoti and her team at SJ Soirée are nothing short of incredible. Jyoti was an incredible support and planner in the 6 weeks leading to our wedding, I’m still in awe of how efficient and detail oriented her team is.

I can’t say enough good things are her. SJ soirée came highly recommended from our ring designer. We were in the market for a wedding planner and wanted someone we could trust. We knew Jyoti was the right fit at our first consult.

From vendor recommendations, to analyzing our (numerous) contracts, to making sure my in-laws stayed on schedule during our rehearsal (a task not for the faint of heart) she did it all.

To boot, we also received great feedback from our vendors who couldn’t say enough nice things about what a pleasure it was to work with her through the process.

Jyoti was our literal BRAINS. We have not stopped saying to each other, and others, that we don't know how we would have done it without you! You were an advocate, cheerleader, friend, organizer, decision maker and analyst. This list could go on! We cannot thank you and your team enough. So excited to see how SJ Soiree continues to flourish in this industry. You are a force. Never forget that.

It's safe to say our wedding wouldn't have happened without Jyoti. We live in Ottawa and wanted to have our wedding in Toronto and had no idea what we were doing. Considering that, and the extra challenges that come from planning a wedding from a different city, we needed a wedding planner. We met with a few planners, and among all of them, Jyoti was the only one who made us feel excited about a wedding and the planning process for it. She gave us energy and enthusiasm (which we really needed!). As soon as we signed on with Jyoti, she began right away with getting us organized. She literally thought of everything down to the smallest detail (including crucial elements we would never have thought of). We knew once Jyoti was aware of something, we could forget about it. She found us several vendors to choose from and met them with us. She knew what we wanted and knew how to convey that to them. And since we lived out of the city, she made it all work virtually. For months leading up to the date, we met monthly to discuss all the to-dos and next steps. She never rushed us and gave us all her attention. As well we had constant communication through email and Slack. She never left us hanging and always got back to us in a timely manner no matter how mundane and silly our questions were (there were a lot of silly questions). The passion for wedding and event planning that Jyoti has been evident, and there's no doubt that if we ever needed another event planned, Jyoti will be our person. She didn't feel like a planner, but like a very organized friend! Thank you Jyoti, again, our day was perfect thanks to you.

We had the pleasure of working with Jyoti and her talented team for our wedding and they exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we met Jyoti on our first intro call we knew right away that we could trust her with bringing our vision to life. We chose the Full Wedding Planning, Design & Coordination package with SJ Soiree and let us tell you that it was one of the BEST decisions we've ever made! Jyoti and her team were a pleasure to work with throughout the year long planning process, especially the day of the event. We started planning about a year ago and Jyoti was there to guide through all the million decisions we had to make (decision fatigue is real but Jyoti was there to keep us calm and grounded). She was very approachable and always there for us anytime we needed any advice, and did not hesitate to answer our million questions (trust me, we had lots of questions ALL the time). I can't imagine planning the wedding of our dreams without having Jyoti by our side. Jyoti provided her expert advice and understood our vision to the fullest. She was the backbone of the planning process as she took charge of vendor communications on our behalf, keeping track of the payments/contracts, and most importantly coming up with a floor plan and a timeline for us and our family and the vendors. We felt so much at peace knowing that Jyoti was there to hold our hand and guide us throughout the whole process. You know you have found the planner of your dreams when you are able to complete each other's sentences during the most stressful and busy time of your life. We cannot thank Jyoti enough for her kindness, attention to detail and her passion for wedding planning. Due on our busy work schedule, it was challenging at times to schedule visits or meetings but Jyoti was very flexible and accommodating!

As for the wedding day itself, Jyoti and her team exceeded all our expectations. We were completely hands off on the day of the wedding and were able to enjoy all the events due to the excellent planning and execution by Jyoti and her team. Jyoti understood how much time and effort we had put in for little details at the wedding (DIY signs, decor, etc.) and we felt at ease knowing that her team was handling and coordinating it well. They were also very efficient in communicating with our point-of-contact and ensuring that we were well-fed (which is very hard to do when the wedding and reception of 500+ people is all in one day). We received so many compliments from our guests that the events came together flawlessly. Jyoti ensured that everyone followed the timeline she had created and was also the point of contact for all our vendors on the day of the wedding. You know it is a huge accomplishment when your parents tell you that they truly enjoyed the event without any stress and worry, all thanks to Jyoti and her team.

We have probably told Jyoti this a million times but just wanted to say it again that we couldn't have planned the wedding of our dreams without Jyoti's support and guidance. Thank you SO much for everything you have done for us, we are truly grateful to have your presence on our wedding day. We can't wait to see what the future holds for you and your company. We recommend SJ Soiree to anyone that is in the planning process (wedding planning is not easy but with the help of a great planner, it makes it enjoyable)!

As much as I am hyper-organized and super-untrustworthy of people's abilities to reach my level of insanity, I do not think I could have pulled off the wedding of my dreams without Jyoti. What everyone says about the need for a 6-8 week coordinator (NOT just a day-of coordinator) is T R U E. When it came down to the last few weeks, Jyoti handled every contract and communique like the seasoned professional that she is. On the day of, Jyoti and her team did everything on my checklist AND THEN SOME. Whenever I even glanced their way, their eyebrows perked up and someone was on their way to me to make sure I had everything I needed. I am truly sad that my wedding is over because that means I cannot be waited on hand & foot ever again the way the SJ Soiree team did hahahahaha

We had Jyoti as our full wedding planner for our wedding this past June. Jyoti did an amazing job and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. We started planning about a year ago and Jyoti was with us every step of the process, leading up to a memorable day that left our friends and family floored. Jyoti was our month-of wedding coordinator, and she was AMAZING. I was a bridesmaid for a couple who chose SJ Soirée to plan their October 2020 wedding. Being engaged myself at the time, I had not yet considered a wedding planner until I witnessed all the amazing work Jyoti and her team did for the couple. She was the perfect balance of personable and professional. She helped me do my job as a bridesmaid by keeping the couple at ease. We hired Jyoti and her team for planning our wedding start to finish. We went to Jyoti not knowing where to start and she guided us through the whole process and most importantly made sure we were happy. Wedding planning can be stressful for couples and we wanted to eliminate that as much as possible for us. Jyoti was quick to reply to messages and answered all our questions in very timely manner. We had an intimate wedding with 25 guests in the first week of September 2021. We had decided for a small intimate family only wedding right from the beginning when we started to plan in the spring. Our wedding guest count was not affected by covid, we wanted a small wedding which still required alot of planning and coordination.

Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful, It was everything we had envisioned and much more. It was very important to us to make the day stress free for our families as well. We wanted our families to enjoy our wedding day, not to worry about any set up or logistics. Jyoti and her team made sure the day went smoothly and our guests were highly impressed with how well the day was planned out and all the little details that made the day special.

We booked SJ Soiree and her team for our backyard tented wedding that took place in September 2021. It honestly would not have been possible without the zillions of hours of coordination, help, re-planning and un-planning that Jyoti and her team helped us with. They went above and beyond with our wedding and that really made all the difference. Jyoti was so patient and kind throughout the entire process. I booked SJ Soiree, a little over a year before the wedding and throughout that time Jyoti helped us plan a 10,25,100 and 200 person wedding. We're so thankful we came across Jyoti. I don't think it would have been possible for us to have the beautiful wedding that we did without all of their help and for that we are forever indebted. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Hiring Jyoti and her team was the best decision we made for our wedding. We planned our Indian wedding ceremony and reception in the span of 3 months. Once Jyoti and her team came aboard, they took care of all of our vendor communications, helped us plan the venue layout and timeline, and was always super responsive to our questions (among many other things!). On the day of our wedding, we felt at ease knowing Jyoti and her team were managing the day. Jyoti was also amazing at working with our families. We hired SJ Soiree as our planner for our big fat indian wedding and it was by far the best decision we made throughout the entire process. They were organized, compassionate, and willing to go above and beyond to make our vision a reality. We knew SJ was the planning team to go with as soon as we met them. They were down-to-earth, ready to roll-up their sleeves, and most importantly.they were RESPONSIVE. Not only were they responsive before we signed on, but they were equally responsive once we signed on and made the payment (this is rare lol).

Their team created multiple plans to accommodate all potential scenarios related to Covid-19 restrictions, all of which were easy to follow. They worked with our family to understand traditional requirements and unique quirks, which made our parents happy and ensured nothing was missed. Most importantly, they rehearsed the big day with us in advance, which made the day of flow smoothly. In fact, our guests' biggest compliment was how organized and on-time every aspect of our day was (rare for indian weddings), which we definitely accredited to all the planning and forethought SJ Soiree put in.

During the event, we saw the team actively working in the background to ensure all logistics were taken care of and any issues (which always arise) were promptly addressed. Often during Indian weddings, there is no point-person or lead, however, at our wedding, we appreciated how SJ Soiree was able to take on that role, while being respectful to all of our elders.

It's important to note that we started planning our event prior to the pandemic, so we had to un-plan and re-plan many different aspects of our event up until the very last minute. SJ Soiree was our rock! They went above and beyond to help us deal with all our challenges. When we lost motivation, SJ Soiree would get us back on track. When we needed a call/wanted to vent, they made themselves available like a good friend would. And, when we were lost, their planning tool that reminded us of every little detail. If you go with them, trust the SJ Soiree process and everything will work out just as it did for us.

Jyoti helped to plan and coordinate our wedding, which went from 300 people to 50 to 10. Throughout all the uncertainty and changes, Jyoti was there for us as not just a planner but a friend who truly understood what we were going through and how difficult it was to manage changes to our wedding at such short notice.  She had great recommendations for venues and helped us find a new venue within 2 weeks of our wedding date, all while remaining positive and calm. During meetings, she always made sure to start with asking how we were feeling and what we were worried about, which showed us that she genuinely cared about us as people and wanted to ease our tension going into our big day. As soon as Jyoti was involved with our wedding, we felt like we didn't have as much to worry about because we knew that she would make sure everything was under control. And we were right- our wedding days went so smoothly and in the days leading up to it she was so organized and ensured that every last detail was taken care of. Jyoti's hard work,   passion, and caring demeanor truly made her shine as a planner and we could not have navigated through our wedding without her. She provided great advice and expertise, and worked with all of our other vendors with great ease and professionalism. Jyoti's assistant, Khushbu, was a great asset. Khushbu attended all our meetings with enthusiasm and provided great advice, and supported on the day of the event. Khushbu was such a friendly and kind person to have around. She was also extremely professional, on the ball, and connected with guests and family members on a personal level. We would not hesitate to recommend Jyoti and Khushbu for any events! We got married less than two weeks ago, and we don't think it would have been possible without SJ Soiree. Jyoti helped us navigate through all of the challenges that come with planning a "COVID-19" wedding. From making sure proper precautions were in place to helping us organize the details that we so often overlooked, she was an incredible source of support. Our family and friends raved about how amazing the team was on the day of our wedding. They were kind, professional and very organized.
