This STC great for if your a hands on learner. The teacher Joe is great with making you understand how to do things in the lab and in the classroom.

I was referred to the electrical pre-apprentice program by a friend and I’m pleased to say it lives up my expectations. The hands on portion of the class is great and allows you to learn quite quickly with the help of your instructor. I am very happy with Joe D as my instructor as well, he makes the theory portion very engaging and keeps the class in a great mood all day, not to mention how helpful he is when we work in the lab, always there to answer questions and help solve any problems while keeping up his fun attitude on site.

I’m a student at skilled trades college, In the electrical program. Learned a lot so far in this cource, Joe De Bortoli is a great instructor very informative and knowledgeable. It’s a fun, course to learn and take if you’re trying to figure out what to do after highschool.

This college is the best for anyone looking to pursue a career in trades. I highly recommend any individual who wants to complete their pre-approval electrical apprenticeship course. This will give you a head start to your apprenticeship because of the many in class labs we complete. Our professor Joe is an highly experienced electrician teaching us about the basic electrical code and practices to implement in our starting careers as pre- apprentices.

Great school overall learned lots, Joe is a great teacher works at your pace and is very respectful

Frank is very hands on with his students.helping them with all aspects of plumbing.from the beginning, all the the way to more experienced. Gets you started on track for the real experience in the real world.

Enrolled in Vaughan campus, Everyday I get to learn something new from Mr. Frank is amazing teacher and plumber. If your going to do plumbing I would 100% recommend this place.

I've been going here now for 6 weeks, so I'm half way through my course at this point. I can very confidently say that this program is no joke. You get alot of hands in time to learn and profect your techniques and the teachers are extremely knowledgeable. They are also great at actually teaching you the material. If I could give more starts I would. 10/10 this is a great college amd the 309 electrical pre apprenticeship program is great. I highly recommend it.

I am currently enrolled, in the Vaughan campus, Frank has taught us well so far, staff and teachers are all friendly, great environment to be in and learn.

STC can be overwhelming like any new experience but that feeling will go away in the first week. Don’t be afraid or act too cool to talk to your classmates, that’ll ease things up and make you more comfortable. Im enrolled in the plumbing course, Its fast pace but our teacher Frank makes sure you’re not behind. Everyday you’re learning and in shop roughing in variety of pipes. Frank runs his class like a live job site, so come on time, be respectful and try not to miss any days. You’re paying 12 bands so make use of it, this is an investment towards your future. Always have confidence, make ur mistakes here and learn from it and you’ll be Gucci! Oh and watch out for Driz lol

Came here for a professional development session for the Peel District School Board. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and patient. I was able to try a few minor skills and took home some cool swag!

I was able to attend a training event at the Vaughn location. I explored electrical, home renovations and plumbing- all the instructors were friendly, patient and informative. I’d like to attend, just to learn new skills! I would highly recommend this school for aspiring tradespeople.

I’ve been a student at Skilled Trades College for electrical since January 2023, from the instructor to the hands on experience you get from here I’ve had great time attending this campus. Best choice I’ve made was to come to STC and take up this Carrie path.

I am currently doing the part-time program for pre-apprentice electrical. My instructor is Chris Dias. Fantastic class with a good pace of learning. Really helpful instructions for hands on learning in the lab. I have learned a lot of skills from using tools, to learning the theory and technical aspects of the course. This course has set me up for success.

Best decision to join part time electrical course. Teacher Chris is outstanding & helpful to everyone in class. Great investment to build career in most booming industry.

Home reno course is amazing.
It is good for people who want to be a general contractor.
Paul is very knowledgeable and so kind person.
I would recommend taking this course.

Do not waste your time here, too expensive, not worth it, unfortunately I did go to this college and it was the worst thing I've done DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

Great experience learning at skilled trades the program is 70% hands on & accelerated in order for you to get on the job site & start working sooner. Joe D is a great electrical teacher and any apprentice would be lucky to learn from him

I am currently in my final two weeks of the electrical pre-apprenticeship program. Attending this school was one of the best decisions I've made, as I feel ready and eager to find work.

This is a Phenomenal school because of the astounding work environment and you gain practical knowledge. I was in the electrical program, I enjoyed everyday and overall was a very good experience. The instructor Joe De Bortoli is a major piece of that as he is an extraordinary teacher who showed us a great deal the electrical trade while making the course fun and agreeable. I would recommend this school to anybody wanting to get started in the trades.

I gained a lot of knowledge in the Home Reno Program. Paul is a great teacher, he is very patient with his students. I would recommend this course for anyone who is interested in any aspect of home renovation and building.

Great school sad that u get to uwer damaged and falty products at times and if in weekend class u dont get to learn most things normally like u would in a weekday class

I love this home Reno course but the complaint I have is it’s too short and would love a few more weeks of class. Paul our instructor was amazing and very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with in class. Also the other instructors from plumbing and electrical were very helpful whenever our class had issues. Thank you Frank and Joe.
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants some knowledge in the home Reno field.

Great school and plumbing pre apprentice course. I enjoy Randy Eckler’s teaching. I’m back for another semester for the electrical pre apprentice course. This electrical course as well as the plumbing course have given me a lot of confidence to do all aspects of both trades. Joe Preziosa is an amazing teacher that uses his on the job work experience to translate to teaching us in school.

Taking the electrical program at STC was an amazing choice. Our instructor Joe P is a great teacher and was always there to help when it was needed. I learned a lot from Joe from him teaching us everything from when he worked in the field himself. After completing this course, I now feel like I can do a lot more than I could before when it comes to electrical and now have an opportunity to start my career as an electrician.

Great course! Paul B. (Home Renovations Instructor) is very knowledgeable and helpful. There were lots of hands on experience which was priceless! I Definitely recommend this course to those you are looking to start home renovations.

Coming to this class was probably the best choice i could have made, I've worked flipping burgers, warehouses and other random dead end jobs for years but with the skills I've learned and connections i’ve made in this class i’m on my way to creating an actual career for myself.

My teacher frank is a great guy and great teacher, combined with the good group of guys in my class its been very educational but also a ton of fun, this will be the first time i’m actually going to miss going to school

Skilled trades college has been a great experience for someone looking to get into a trade such as myself. Their ideology of having a focus on hands on learning really gives students a feel for what to experience in the field while also making them feel comfortable with basic tools and working in a situation similar to a job site. Paul has also been a fantastic instructor for the home renovation course as he is very knowledgeable and is very focused on making sure that his students understand what is being taught. If you are looking to start a career in the trades I highly recommend this school.

The electrical program was an amazing three months, the teachers know what they are doing. They deliver information and skills that are easy to understand and grasp quickly. I walked in knowing nothing. I walked out feeling confident to find a job and wire an entire house from scratch. 100% recommended this school for anyone who want to get into the trades industry.

I had a great time at The Skilled Trades College of Canada in Vaughn. In the three months that I attended the school, I learned so much more than I could have anywhere else and I really owe that to my teacher Joe DeBortoli. A great instructor with a lot of skills and knowledge of the electrical industry. Feeling very prepared and looking forward to starting my career!

Amazing school to get into trades with. You don’t get anywhere close to the amount of shop/practical time you would in a school like Sheridan or Humber, this school cares about you learning your trade to your best ability. Giving you all the knowledge and capabilities for when you graduate. I actually went to Sheridan college for plumbing for a semester, it really is nothing compared to this school. You are in a cubical from the start of your schooling at Ontario trades college. But in a school like Sheridan college you wouldn’t be in a cubical till your 2nd semester. Also the teachers really care and make sure you are fully comprehending what you are learning. A great school for someone trying to learn a trade.

Had a great time at skills trade college. Feeling confident on beginning my career. I did the electrical course with Joe De Bortoli, he is a great overall person, really helpful on preparing us for the field and made the learning enjoyable everyday.

Great school you learn much more then any other college, Paul is a great teacher for home renovations and helped me understand more then my previous college.

The Home Renovation class at Scarborough location was one of the best experience I have ever had. The classes are small and well detailed. You get a full hands-on experience of all trades. The Intructor Russell is truly amazing and one of a kind. Skilled trades college opened a lot of doors for me for employment. Best of the Best.

Coming to this school was one of the best decisions I ever made. All the teachers are dedicated to teaching the Trades. Frank the Plumbing Instructor made me passionate about coming to school and learning the Plumbing trade. STC is a excellent choice to ensure a solid foundation in your careeer!

I'm extremely impressed with the Home Renovation program as well as the Electrical program for a couple of reasons: these are jobs run you down for you to work and the experience you get from the courses is real life. There are no surprises when you start working. I would recommend this institution to all. It's a great place, environment is professional, professors are first rate, the institution is properly resourced.

Great program. Took the plumbing program and it’s definitely the best option to gaining the most skills and knowledge possible. The instructor Frank is great he makes sure every student improves and learns as much as possible. If you’re looking for the best opportunity to learn, Frank is your guy you won’t regret it. 12 weeks seems like a short amount of time but the days are condensed and you learn a lot each day. Got hired a week after finishing the program.

I am a few days from graduating from the electrical pre- apprenticeship program and the only thing to say is this place is amazing. As a young adult I was looking for an opportunity to develop my skills in a field that would be useful and coming to Skilled Trades College has been far and above the best decision I ever made. The professors are engaging and knowledgeable in their field with lots of experience to provide amazing feedback. The staff are very inclusive and helpful with any and all problems concerning course. If you are looking invest in your future I would strongly recommend attending as the 3 month full time program is fast and aggressive. With the right amount of effort it is by far one of the best ways to enter the trades and exit with lots of knowledge and skills. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to try something new.
