Skyline Hotel & Waterpark

We went with the skyline because it is closest to the water park rooms are ok but nothing to write home about

But the Waterpark is awesome and it's just a short walk all inside

We got the waterpark package. The room was clean and they were able to accommodate and early check in. Parking is extremely tight. They have a indoor courtyard area that plays movie nights on the weekend which was neat. Vending machines do not accept any American cards which is a bit strange considering its in niagra falls and right on the border of CA and USA. The women at the front Desk wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to want to be bothered. Had to call maintenance to come fix our shower because it was Luke warm and wouldn't get hotter. Continued to have water issues sporadically throughout the night. They offer a coffee voucher if you do not want housekeeping which is nice. Rooms were clean. There is a thermostat in the room with a note that says it's there for guests to adjust the temperature to their liking so they can be as comfortable as possible but the heat doesn't work on it and when we spoke to the maintenance man about it he said they utilize central heat.so I guess the thermostat is mostly for show (felt as if it was set to 64 or 65 in the winter). Overall the stay was OK. Didn't hate it, definitely didn't love it

The amount I did not use was paid. Drink 2 bottles of water. I only received a voucher for one breakfast, but I was charged an amount of 46cad that I don't know. Breakfast was 15 cad. I used the voucher and paid an additional 3cad at perkins.
I have a credit card history.
I checked to see if there was an extra charge to pay when checking out, but they said no. We didn't use the mini bar. Didn't even use room service.
But after I came back, I was charged a strange amount. They need to explain why I was charged that amount.
Skyline Hotel does not respond to e-mails. 7/7-7/9 I stayed in room 2225 for two days, but it was not cleaned in the middle.
I made a reservation through Priceline, and it is being resolved through Priceline, but there is still no contact.
The hotel charged me an unknown amount for something I did not use.

Is bottled water charged?

Firstly, the location of this hotel is great. My kids enjoyed the short walk to the cheesy attractions and it’s attached to the water park, which is handy.

We booked the family deluxe suite, as we are a family of 6. The cleanliness was not the best. A dirty wet towel had been left in the bathroom, along with hairs over the sink. For a room that caters 6, the bathroom was tiny. No space to put anything by the sink. The toilet was stained, mold growing on the bathroom walls, a peeling ceiling and only two towels. It also smelled of vomit in the washroom. Nice!

Our air unit was also broken. So we either froze to death with having it on constantly or sweat to death if we turned it off. It’s also located right beside one of the beds and is very loud indeed. We paid $550 odd for this room, including 4 water park passes. We then had to add on other two passes (paid separately) and the lockers are $12 per day (cannot use your own lock).

Definitely not worth the price to stay here. Disappointing indeed. Next time we will just drive home after a day at the water park.

The waterpark was awesome! The hotel is pretty good, not perfect but it was still good! For the price it would be tough to beat!

The rooms were ok, but the loudness of other guests sitting in the open area at 1230am talking loud and being very disrespectful was unnecessary (right out in front of our room basically. After paying over 600$ for 3 nights stay, I won't be back if it continues.

Had very unpleasant experience with manager Adina very rude and unprofessional, the rooms are dirty, smelly, dingy and required major TLC do not worth the money you pay, and it was a big $ for one night never coming back.

Very disappointed. I took my two daughters here for daddy daughter time. I found the staff not to be very pleasant to deal with. Check in was a slow and difficult process. When we finally made it to our our room. I realized the room itself was absolutely nothing like the photos on the web site. Everything was dated and had a dungy feel to it. The water park was decent. I don't believe the $400.00 a night room we stayed in was.worth it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Two things good about this place. The location and its attached to the Waterpark. That's about it

Staff were very friendly. We checked in at 1 pm. Our room was ready. We also got a 1pm check out with no charge.
The hotel isn't great. The hallways are narrow. Room size was ok.
I'm not sure if there were a herd of elephants above our room. Constant banging and jumping at all hours day and night. Didn't sleep well because of Constant noise.
If you are looking for a quiet hotel this isn't the place for you.

Heating in the room was not working. We called front desk like 15 times finally someone answered and said we donnt have any heater. We have extra blankets if you would like. When i requested a room change since i had small kids front desk said its not just our room whole hotel heat is turned off. So before coming esp winter double check with hotel if a/c and heating function is working well. We checked in 10pm and were not informed ahead of time.

Clean, attentive and fast to fix any problems.we had an issue with our air conditioner it was rumbling and they sent the maintenance right away and took care of the problem.they texted throughout our stay and it felt like they really wanted us to have a positive experience.also those court yards are so nice and relaxing it made they place very calm feeling.

Great value. Entertainment was more than enough for a small family, and the connected hotel was super convenient.

The hotel is kind of a motel but definitely worth the visit it is connected to a beautiful water park with so many fun rides

Terrible terrible service. We got charged twice for our one night stay. Called and email customer service (Eline pelaez specifically) who states “the hotel can assure you 100% we did not double charge you - - as a guest you are entitled to your own opinion same as we are to take responsibility for any billing errors which in this case there has not been any performed”. A week later we escalate things and ask for a manger to call which she does saying her coworker couldn’t have known it was double charged. Then why wouldn’t she have directed us to who did? Why did she specifically say they didn’t? Now it’ll be 5-7 days to get money back if we do.

Expected a little better. Nice and close to everything but felt more like a motel standards wise. They definitely are due for upgrades. The courtyard areas are nice & calming. In regards to the water park, no covid restrictions are in place except for the fact that it is booked time slots and probably at limited spots, but crazy busy and no distancing throughout the water park. Only booked this hotel for the package with the water park. I would recommend booking your stay at a better hotel & coming to the water park separately if you really wanted to.

I was pretty skeptical going in because of some of the recent reviews I read. The room was not too bad, it was clean and the beds were clean, however, the room smelled and so did the bathroom. We had an adjoining with family, or else we would have asked for another. I actually bought an air freshener from the dollar store to help. The Waterpark was great. There were 4 adults, a 16,14,11,9 and 5 year old and EVERYONE had a blast! The 3 hour time slot was sufficient to do everything. The worst part was the play area had to close for a foul cleanup and so the wave pool got crowded. The cleaned it up within 30 minutes. Other than that, we had a great time. Not sure if I would stay at this hotel again, as it is pretty pricey, but it is convenient to everything.

I was thrilled to get away for a much needed break in Early September. I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere other than the Skyline. I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I always get the same room which affords me comfort and familiarity. The location is close to all amenities. It is always nice to see Edina and Shanna who go above and beyond to ensure our stay is the best it can be. It is evident these ladies love what they do as they have a natural ability in connecting with guests and allows you to feel nothing is too much trouble that along with their welcoming personalities will always ensure my return. I was particularly impressed with the measures taken during this COVID pandemic. It gave me great peace of mind knowing the safety of the guests was paramount. Overall, a fabulous stay!

The staff is amazing, if not for them this hotel would be rated much lower.
The rooms were underwhelming as was the TV. The best part of the experience was the skyline, not the rooms, where the beds were supposedly uncomfortable.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. The fridge was never re-stacked after our first night, or towels changed. Other than that it was really nice and easy to get to the Waterpark - just a short walk through the suspended walkway.

Had an ok stay some problems with the room but was an ok stay overall and staff were very friendly

Lots of hidden fees. Ended up having to pay $50 extra just for parking and wifi. Room was mediocre, had a hard time falling asleep because the AC was really loud. Price does not include access to the waterpark even though they said it would when I called in.

Hotel is out dated, more of a motel feeling.we had a room next to the stair and you can hear every single foot stomp going up or down as well as when the guest in the next room were showering you can hear the plumbing like it was your shower running And to make things worse I woke with red bumps around my legs and one on my face. Definitely not coming back, rather stay at some where else and and buy the water park passes.for the money you spend you will get a much better quality room and ambient.

Pros: Clean room, no room service but like everywhere else because of COVID. They will give you water bottles and new towels if asked.
Close to Clifton Hill and the main attractions, you won't need your car.
Inside courtyards are a good place to hang, but alcohol is not permitted.

Cons: Your keys will deactivate every single day, there is a problem with the programming of the keys. You are given the excuse that you put it with your cellphone, but even keys left in the original envelope in the room deactivated.
The elevator is scary, it rattles and bangs.
There is no separate line for checking in and asking a question at the front desk, you will wait up to an hour to have your keys reactivated between 4pm and 6 pm.

Worst service hotel i have ever been to!
Their service is garbage! We request for more water bottles they said 1 person 1 bottle per day. Like seriously! They don’t have microwave in the rooms. They charge u form parking 22$ and u have to park far away from hotel in front building! These charges are not shown to us online!

Terrible service and lack of communication between waterpark and hotel. Also pretty expensive for basically a motel and kind of run down.

Beds were hard pillows to flat.coffee in room was terrible.tried to charge us double for water park on checking out.room was small

Amazing experience and the manager was so understanding.
Our 5yr old daughter vomited on the floor away from the water and the manager said she had to exit the water park, because if she is still sick and she vomits in the water then they have to close down the whole water park. However he did allow the rest of our kids and my wife continue to play in the water park. He then went ahead and said we all will get free passes the next day to fully enjoy the water park as a family.

Stained bedding, fire alarm went off, would give it a 1 but they were accommodating when we needed an early check in time. Don’t think I’ll come back to this one.

The place seems great but the rooms arent good.the pillowas are as soft as a marshmellow, some of the lamps dont turn on, & there arent many power outlets. But that aside everything looks great.

3 out of 5 of us got rashes and bug bites. You can feel the springs on the bed and are really uncomfortable. Good location and water park is ok but not worth the price

Poor service. We lined up at the front desk for 1 hour just to check in even if we already pre-checked in online. Their process is so inefficient, they should at least have a separate line for pre checked in guests. I didn't feel safe as there was a lot of people in the reception and the lineup is just near the door with all the people going back and forth, and physical distancing is no longer possible! No one is present to assist the guests who are waiting. Definitely not going back.

Very bad service. In fact no service at all! After 2 constant hours of driving we had to wait 2 more to check in. The registration line was even on the stairs! We couldn’t even find a bathroom, and no one could guide us to it! The rooms were beyond dirty and the toilet flush screamed throughout the night! No TV signal! And if you went in the water park you would 100% get COVID-19! Overall, I suggest you to not waste your money on a trashy hotel

I do a reservation almost 1 months ago and I cancelled because the waterpark was closed. And I was charged for nothing. And still didn't get back and nobody respond back!
I'm not recommend!

We have stayed here in the past, but this trip was the best. The front desk attendant Shanna was wonderful. From the second we checked in to the moment we left was perfect. She helped us with a few things, that kept us enjoying our little break during challenging times.

Skyline Hotel was a lifesaver for me. My AirBnB nearby turned out to be infested by centipedes, so I ran away in panic mode and checked in to this hotel at 11: 45 pm at night. I was so relieved to find a very clean room and bathroom, and had the best sleep I’d had in a while. The complimentary bottled waters were helpful as well. Thank you, Skyline.

The worst experience ever! Don’ t book Skyline inn & Waterpark if you want to enjoy your vacation.
Our family (2 adults, 2 kids) reserved this hotel in advance, we picked this hotel only because of the waterpark, I think most of families choose this place for the same reason. When we arrived, we were told that we are not allowed to use the “free” as it says on their website Waterpark even though the Waterpark was open and working. When we tried to explain at the front desk that at the time of reservations the hotel did not let us know that we won’t be able to use the Waterpark and that without the Waterpark option we have no reason to stay at Skyline inn, the manager told us that there was nothing they can do and that it’s up to us to stay or leave, so we left, we went back home. Our vacation was ruined.

Terrible experience, see trip advisor reviews. This should be a one star hotel. Can’t believe this is part of the Fallsview hotel group. Should be removed off the list.

Family hotel with Perkins breakfast restaurant attached. 3 minutes away from Clifton hill. Clean, good sized rooms, decently priced. I usually stay here because its more relaxed away from the excitement of the main strip.

Great hotel stayed before only a little misleading when after purchasing the room we were advised the waterpark and pools were closed, website never mention it made it seems like it was so my son was very disappointed as well as I. No microwave in room.

The water was freezing the whole time- the wave pool and slides were shut off - the jacuzzi was not working either! Was not anything close to what I expected and the over all experience was not the greatest! Was there for a special occasion but the hotel and water park disappointed me!

Just had the worst experience in a hotel. Arrived 3pm for check in and there were at least 100 people in the lobby, no seating areas, no parking, nothing. Only 3 people trying to check in hundreds on people. Total caos. The hotel is obviously not prepared to handle the number of people checking in and they certainly do not have a plan to mitigate the issues. We pretty much lost our day at the waterpark standing in line. The hotel itself is not great either only has a good location

It is not worth for the money I paid.lines in the watetpark very long you can spend 1 hour waiting in the line for the ride.if you come after 12 afternoon very hard to find place.

While the water park is fun and we'll staffed, the hotel has NO sound proofing.we got little sleep while able to hear the coming and going of everyone all night long

Compared to the all fancy, money grabbing Great Wolf Lodge, it is affordable and big enough to have a number of activity areas. Don't mind visiting again!

Water needs to be warmer and the slides in the smaller area just seemed so slow this time around.
It's also too bad that the hot tub closes at 6 when the rest of the park is open till 9.

Location is great. The walls are paper thin and you hear kids running around and screaming in the courtyards late in the evening and very early in the morning.

Always a great time when we visit here however you must check you bill they charge tourist fees even if you are from Toronto so you have to ask them to adjust it once you check out.

They to hit it in the off season. Great courtyard setup for visiting after the kids have gone to bed. Waterpark is fun even with lines for most slides.

Currently staying here and am less than impressed. First off, it is FREEZING everywhere in here. When we inquired about it at the front desk we were told it was because of the door opening and closing.except it is cold throughout the entire hotel. Staff isn't friendly. Room is clean.

Room was great. Line-ups were good at the waterpark. Not the best hotel for a couple getaway since there was a lot of kids making noise at the hotel though. Other than that everything was great

Expensive Expensive Expensive. Beware there are hidden charges on your bill. They charge $22 for parking and when you ask you are told that it is on their website. I found it in small print after searching.

The room was dirty. My daughter found potato chips and apple juice on the floor next to the bed. Obviously the room was not vacuumed.

I will never stay at this hotel again.

Next time go to Great Wolf. Works out to less cost in the long run.

We stayed 1 night in December. Our room is dirty and needs the renovation. Very noisy at night, we were waken up several times by the parties at court yard. Do not let them email you the bill as you will find some extra charges without any explanation. This happened to us. Check the bill at the counter and have their correction on site.

Kids had an absolute blast at half the price of great Wolf Lodge. Would definitely go back! If your kids want to go on the majority of the water slides they must be 42" tall minimum to get the right bracelet.

Excellent location. 15 to 20 min walk from horseshoe falls. Hotel room was comfortable. Our window looked into the indoor courtyard which I didn't love. Nice to have a heated indoor access to Fallsview waterpark. Microwaves available on the first floor which was nice. Courtyard rooms noisy with kids running but we were fine between 10 pm and 7am when courtyard closed. Front desk was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Honestly have no idea why people give this such a high rating. Then I read and see a lot of it is based on the waterpark which is a separate entoty unrelated to Skyline Hotel. Yes it has a catwalk which joins the businesses but again one has nothing to do with the other. Dido for the Sheraton which is also connected.

I would agreed that the staff are accommodating and friendly but the hotel itself is a dated dive. Our room had a clogged sink, hair in the tub, ligering off odor, stains on the walls and pillows that looked like they haven't been replaced in years.

Took all of 10min in the room to decide we were out of there. Booked us at Double Tree Hilton just down the block. Obviously night and Day in terms of cleansiness.

Sorry Skyline. Never again.

Id give this hotel a 3.5 -its a good hotel interms of service, location and family orientation. The issue is the hotel itself being deemed as a 4star hotel when it is not. The rooms and veds need upgrading- our room was cute and a bit more renivated but the bed quality wasnt great. I dont care that there are pumps for shampoo, soap and body wash but all ours were empty and i was forced to use soap on my hair which I didnt like. What I did like was the service. We had concierge bring my son a banner for his bday which was placed on our door - and smarties. The rooms seem to have thin walls and sound will get through. We went Sunday-Monday and it was great - when we arrived it seemed LOADS of families were leaving. I wish our room had a window lookig outside instead of a random courtyeard indoors lol but it was an okay experience. All in all -we will stay again for the convenience but the price needs to be dropped to match everywhere else that 3.5 star. We got the breakfast and waterpark package abs got a good deal -Perkins breakfast is massive. We had fun. Oh and lots of stairs at this hotel- Huge and a bit confusing
