Skyloft Resort / The Trail Hub

It's a small resort with 2 lifts, great for beginners learning how to ski and snowboard. However, I've decided never to go back after a staff member there decided to shame me for putting my snowboard on the benches by saying, "Oh, thanks for leaving your board on the bench. Now everyone else can have a wet bench to sit on. " It was unnecessary for him to say it in such a condescending manner. I wasn't aware that they were still going to be open beyond school hours as it's mostly school-led groups at the resort. He could have asked me to remove my snowboard instead of shaming me and making me feel awful.

OUT OF BUSINESS - resort is closed for 2019-20 season. No information on when or if it will reopen.

Fun place, but not many hills, excellent for beginners. Only complaint is that the hills are a bit short, and the diamond hills are usually occupied by the racing team

Always worth the drive out of the city for a little skiing action. Once and a while you even get lucky and get a bit of fresh powder

This is the most terrible ski slope I’ve ever been to. The slope itself is fine but the staff and service are terrible. They were rude and belligerent and treated us like scum. I was so shocked, however I probably should have read the reviews on here first. I would highly recommend not coming to this establishment if you would like your family to have a fun day on the slopes

Good hill but the cafeteria was shifty service poor quality of food. I will bring food from now on.

This was a different experience. It has no beginners area so you have to be ready to take the downhills.

Came here on a Saturday morning at around 10am and within half an hour the place was at full capacity and rental boots were all running out of sizes. Unfortunately, we weren't able to snowboard. I have to say that it's a fire and safety hazard having all that many people in such a tight space for lineups. Pretty disappointing considering that this place was within the GTA.

I come here with my school every year for about 4 weeks in a row to introduce and reinforce basic ski skills. We have about 200 kids and staff that go, so it’s a bit of an organizational nightmare, but Skyloft does a great job managing all of this. When the snow conditions and weather are great, the hill is perfect for our kids. Runs are short and not too advanced which is typical of Toronto-ish ski resorts.

I would rate this place as good n cheap place to ski.the only thing that I didnt like ws no training was offered on the long weekend monday " family day "

Amazing ski resort for beginners. The slopes are nice. The layout is really good as well. I go here every winter. I would rather come here then go to blu mountain. This is less crowded.

Small resort. Less crowded. Chill runs. Snowboard rental for age 4 is available. Regular price is ridiculously expensive for such small resort and the service provided. Get your tickets from Groupon. Approx $26 for adult day ticket. Trails are fun but very narrow, ok for cruising, NOT ok for doing tricks. Lifts are super slow, the main lift is about 3-5 km/h. There were no ski patrols to oversee the trails, there are people riding high AT the beginner's hill and running so fast and close to kids and beginners.

An alright place to learn for the price. Its beginner area is bigger than most bunny hills. Rentals are affordable but really old equipment. Not a place I would recommend for notice to experienced riders

Don't waste your time. There is just one lift for everyone and the lineup is really long. Half hour on the lift and 2 minutes on the slope. Waste of time.

This place was absolutely terrible. The hills are ok, but the management of this place is unprofessional and disorganized. As most people know there is a groupon for Skyloft, however you have to pay $15 for poles and $10 for parking. Also, today we arrived at 10: 30am (it opens at 10am) and they were completely out of skis, ski boots and snow board equipment for rent. Knowing that many people have bought the groupon and knowing that they have limited supplies, they should post this on their website when they are out of rental equipment, or they should not sell so many groupons if they cannot accommodate everyone! Going inside Skyloft was a total disaster as well. I would highly recommend people not buying the groupon to this ski hill! If anything check out the nearby hills (Dagmar or Lakeridge) or better yet Brimacombe is amazing. I would also like to comment on the incredibly RUDE service we received from staff, especially management. While I understand there were a lot of people today, that does not excuse the poor customer service we received. They need to not only hire more staff but also organize the lines that people line up in and train their staff on how to be decent customer service agents. We wasted 1.5 hours standing in 2 different lines only to be told that we could not rent any equipment.the Groupon is not worth it! Avoid this place at all costs. Also, we did not get refunded our $10 parking fee despite not being able to ski today.

Wife bought the lift tickets for family to ski around new year, but their scheduled opening keep changing and no one picks up the phone in the office to provide an accurate opening date.what kind of business is this?

Bought the Groupon which is good for day time only 10am -4pm - (no problem) BUT.they're not open before 4pm any day except on weekends.

Pack a lunch, the food is unremarkable. And on that note, bring cash to buy food with, otherwise you have to buy food vouchers in ten dollar increments. We went early in the season, so not all runs open, but the staff are a high point. Very kind and helpful. Not huge hills, but serves the purpose depending on requirements. Single quad chairlift. We had no lineups.

Very rude and confrontational parking staff, minimal runs, long waits, old dated chalet, kitchen was filthy looking. We won't be back.

I've been here for 2 events it's got an awesome veiw that's the best part other then that the place needs an update that's forsure bathrooms are just for one person meanwhile theirs toilet and urinal in their but only allows one person and the parking lot isn't the greatest when I first had to go to a wedding at Skyloft Resort you would think their would be signs to tell you where to go and the speed and it's very dangerous you can easily flip your car coming from the hall or even at night it's getting dangerous I wouldn't recommend doin anything at the late night cause the distance to get their and also it's very hard to find the Resort had to tell ppl that where tryin to pick up ppl how to get to the hall at the bottom
