He will promise you nothing but the best, and will leave you with nothing, except for that sick feeling in your stomach.
Dan has a real knack for getting people to trust him, once the deal is finalized, thats where things start to derail. The quality and craftmanship of the work he does is sub par at best. Promised delivey days that were cancelled many times on the day of. Many days i lost time at work waiting for him. Finally when the installation of the windows was done it was horrible.the sills are all bowed and the trim work around them is just brutal. Very poor cauling to. The "smart window tint" worked for 3 days. It still has not been fixed in over 11 months.ive called so many times. Do Not expect any issues that you have to get resolved. Dan is very slippery and next to impossible to get in touch with, once he has your money! I wish i did more homework researching this company. Many bad reviews, and from his previous companies. I am sure by now he has already closed this one down and started a new one. There are many good reputable window companies out there. Just not this one. You get what you pay for here.low price = low quality and service!

This Company is Dangerous. Do not trust them. They took Money and didnt finish the Job. It's been over 1 year. Dan does not answer his phone now.

SCAM ALERT
We paid a deposit in July 2020, was told delayed due to material shortage last year, then waiting for lockdowns to end and we are first on the list, now can’t get a hold of Dan or James, I went to the address and found out it was a window manufacturer that told me he owes him thousands and has went to the police about and that he is using his address fraudulently! Don’t give this man a penny, unless you like giving it away!

Over a year has past and after spending over 14,000 order has not been fulfilled. Waiting on basement window, front window was installed by Dan if that's what you want to call it. My door is still outstanding. Empty promises, little communication, lies and now it seems they've split. Brutal con artists

Don't believe any of the 5 stars as these guys are a total SCAM! Gave them 6k deposit last August to do my whole house and still have not had one window installed. I have been trying to get a hold of DAN GLINSKY for months and he will not return my emails text messages phone calls etc.anyone who has been scammed out of their money contact The York Regional Police 4 District Criminal Investigations Branch as I will be. People like this need to be held accountable.

Had a great experience dealing with Mark and Dan from beginning of ordering windows to install. The windows are of great quality and were installed very professionally. I definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for new windows.

Where are you? Lots of communication initially, site visit to measure and quote, the installer came by to check things out, and now nothing. No communication, nobody answers the phone, email, anything. Once they got the deposit, they disappeared. Have been waiting for a custom basement door since March.

Great experience working with Dan. Very friendly and professional service. Installed my basement windows two week after paying the deposit, I got lucky there was an opening. Will definitely be contacting them again for additional work on my work.

Mr. D. Glinsky of Smart Home Window & Door, made a nice sales pitch in January 2020 and was charming till he got our $10K deposit. After that communications become dismal. No delivery or installation happened in the first week of March 2020 as contracted. He halted communications after we requested to see our doors and windows in person. He refused to deliver the order and refund money. We had no other choice than instruct our legal representatives to initiate the lawsuit. BE AWARE. Evidence is available.

As a Realtor and project manager, I have worked with many trades in the past including window and door companies. This was my first window project by Smart Home Window & Door Company and I can honestly say it was an absolute pleasure. Their knowledge and professionalism was consistent throughout from estimate to installation. As professionals in the industry, we are really price consciences, and I was initially excited about the great deal we got, but when the windows were installed I was even more impressed with the quality. They are a truly high end product at the lowest prices. They are officially my "go to" window and door company and I recommend them to everyone.

We would like to thank Dan for his professionalism and knowledge. He provided what he promised. In time, quality, customer service, no hidden cost. Best price. Highly recommended.

SCAM. AVOID. Daniel Glinsky, representing himself as SHWD (Smart Home Window & Door company) was sweet and nice till he gets our substantial 50% deposit in January 2020. Then he stopped communicating, and failed to deliver the ordered doors or windows as per written contract. He could not provide proof of purchase or ordering and denied to show us our doors or windows.
He denied to return the deposit and is now being sued for breach of contract.

I had my windows replaced by Smart Home Window & Door Company. The entire process went smoothly, and Dan was friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I definitely recommend this company to everyone, and look forward to getting them back to replace my doors next year.

Consumers beware! They took our deposit (10k) and have failed to provide any services. They were supposed to install windows first week of March, which they haven’t, and have not provided any proof of preparation or anything they were supposed to order. Horrible experience and customer service.
