Leeona is very helpful and experienced in showing the rental unit off and explaining all fees. In and out in 30 minutes for the initial visit. All climate controlled units.
Climate controlled is great, however the 30+% increase was a hard hit and I decided to move out in January 2024.

Khushi at the Stoney Creek location was a great help. She showed me the unit and provided me with different unit options and pricing options. I booked the unit the same day and she made it super easy and clear to get done. Would highly recommend SmartStop.

Don't waste your money. Place was broken into and my personal belongings were stolen. The insurance is a scam and weeks after the break in, my unit was still unsecured.

Natasha is very nice and professional and patient to let you find the unit you’re looking for.

Leona ensured my entire process went smoothly. She is very personable and knowledgeable. Her customer service skills are more than 5 stars as she is 100% about helping the customer in any situations. There were a few hiccups along the way and she dealt with everything for me immediately. She is very responsive and caring, I would recommend her and this location to anyone needing storage!:)

Had a rough start online and over the phone, but once I went into the office Leeona sorted everything out for me (thanks so much, Leeona!). I'm really pleased with the facility and the safety of the unloading/loading bays. They even provide dollys to move your belongings! My unit was spotless to move into and the aisles all spotless as well. Highly recommend if you need some space to store stuff

UPDATE OCTOBER 2022: MULTIPLE UNITS WERE BROKEN INTO. I was just there and MY UNIT #1569 (ground floor, back right) was one of them!
The wire fence which acts as the ceiling above was snipped open! My boxes were thrown around and ripped open, items were MISSING.
I had to knock on the staff door for a while before they answered. Staff were not surprised by what happened, they weren't helpful, they really don't seem to care. They said that MULTIPLE units were broken into in the same area WEEKS earlier and they didn't notify anyone or check any of the surrounding units! It was incredibly easy to see above the units and see how many were broken into. I asked why I wasn't notified, if they have notified others, why it wasn't repaired yet, and when it would be repaired, and they didn't have any answers.
I asked what date the break in was, if they caught the person, or had footage, and once again got NO ANSWERS.
What, they don't have any cameras!?
Incredibly irresponsible and UNPROFESSIONAL!
All they did was take pictures, gave me phone numbers, and left. They didn't even help clean up the mess! They told me to call the police and submit a report, and call the insurance company. Not shockingly neither were helpful.

THEY ALSO KEPT RAISING THE Rent. I was there for over 2 years. This company ripped me off! The price just went up and up and up with no limit! Almost every other month there was an increase!
Don't be fooled by their promo prices! Their representative said that they were increasing it to the "regular amount" but they didn't have an answer for what that is! There is no "regular amount", only what they can get away with! My last increase was for OVER $100! They are crooks and are fully taking advantage of the fact that there is no law to regulate their increases! Taking advantage of those who can't move out of their units or don't notice the increase. Despicable.

Their location is way out of the way, and there I've never seen anyone there to keep an eye on the doors, windows, nor the units!

Update: I moved out at the end of February 2023, I tried to call them several times to give them notice but was put on hold infinitely until it hung up on me at their end of hours. I emailed them as well with no reply. There is no information or instructions on their website, nor when logged into my account. Horrible customer service!

The photo attached is the after math of the break-in. You can see the "ceiling" and the point of entry where someone broke in to my unit. My boxes were all very organized and tidy. I'm completely taken back as to their complete lack of accountability, responsibly, responsiveness, and complete unprofessionalism.

I had a great expience with this company when we had a house fire.

Leeona was very effective and accommodating when I needed help with the locker.

The facility was very tidy. They have ample equipment to load and unload your items. A bonus is it is climate controlled.

I would definitely suggested this to to my family and friend.

Opened a new account at the Stoney Creek location and was very happy with the customer service and rental rate. Everything was explained thoroughly and all my questions were answered. The facility is also VERY clean!

I came in looking to inquire about renting a unit and was greeted by Leeona. Even without making an appointment, she was able to help. She was very knowledgeable and provided all the info I needed. If you're looking for storage, I highly recommend you visit this location and talk to Leeona.

My mother has used this facility for years. I love the layout and the ability to pull in to the loading bay with your car. I began renting a unit this month and it has been all good things. The manager is friendly, down-to-earth, and straight-forward.

Moving is stressful enough but Leeona makes you feel comfortable, great customer service hard to find now a days she is great, very clean and smells wonderful, recommended this storage facility to anyone Thanks Leeona

Relocated to New Brunswick and had my belongings in storage until departure day. The facility was always clean and very well maintained. Zero signs of mice or any type of bug; I know, but other storage facilities cannot make this boast.
I wasn't able to get everything in my trailer and this past weekend, my sons removed the remaining items still stored.
To my surprise, I received a Rental Termination the following day and was more than impressed in how they knew I had left. When I called to inquire, I was pleased to know that the staff has (3) routine checks a day and noticed the missing lock. Outstanding!

I went to the storage unit later in the day and was shown a suitable unit in a meticulously clean building. Everything was explained to me clearly and professionally. I left being very impressed with everything. The young lady who helped me, sorry that I have forgotten the name, was super helpful And polite. She made it all an easy process. Thank you.

The team where I went in Stoney Creek was great! Yesterday one lady helped me tremendously and was so accommodating when I wanted to change some things on my rental agreement. Today when I went back to check out the space for planning-sake, there were two individuals who were super friendly (same one from yesterday and another individual) and they made sure I had everything I needed for a seamless experience. I’d not ever rented a storage unit before so they took the time to explain everything I needed to know for a first-timer. The facility itself is absolutely spotless and is climate controlled inside so I can place objects in the unit and not have to worry about them being damaged from extreme heat or cold. I’d also like to point out how well they have expressed and adhere to social distancing measures. As a final note, the space is also very reasonably priced for my needs.

This is an amazing facility! I flew in from Alberta to move my mother into assisted living and we had little time to spare for the packing and storage process. We worked with Amy two days in a row and she was awesome! We booked online for the best deal (and 1 month free!) and found this place was almost $100 cheaper per month for the same size climate controlled unit in better condition. This is a new, clean, organized, safe and secure facility. I feel 100% confident with our choice of storage rentals. Very nice facility, friendly staff and the fee was very affordable.
After a year of being a tenant I have come to the conclusion that I can't stand the place. You can never get into a loading bay as people just park their vehicles and disappear. If you do get into a bay, whoever else is in there feels they need to use every cart available, leaving none for anyone else. Looking forward to the day I no longer have to use them.

The building and services are impeccable and if I could give them a higher star ranking I would. The building is always clean and the loading bays are always in perfect working condition. The floors and halls are brightly lit up, and they have carts always available (in perfect and clean condition) which makes storing your items very easy. Not to mention the ladies that work here are very friendly and patient with their customers. I couldn't imagine using anywhere else.

Online choices were up to date. Easy to select what type of unit I needed/wanted and the sign up process was super easy. When I went during business hours to complete process (get my passcode and tour) the safe rocks it and were polite and amazing! I would recommend this facility without question. Prices are highly reasonable as well.

Being a first time storage unit renter I did my due diligence and researched every self storage facility within a 25km radius of my location. I visited a few and once I came across SmartStop, saw their prices, I had to visit them to verify what i was reading was accurate. Once I arrived I was not dissapointed. Clean, well laid out, layers of security and to top it off the customer service was exceptional. You don't really ever think of customer service when your're dealing with self storage because let's face it, your're in and out, but both Amy and Leeona are amazing. Both on my initial tour and subsequent registration day, each were very helpful and accommodating in assisting me in finding the best unit for my needs. Don't overlook the customer service part when looking for a storage unit! If a clean place, cost effectiveness and security of your belongings is what your looking for in a self storage facility then look no further. Period.
