Nicolas is the most efficient and kind person I’ve met in a long time. His customer service was a chef’s kiss. It was my first time and because he thoroughly answered all of my annoying questions, I was able to make the right decision and got exactly what I needed. This meant a lot, because I’m an indecisive person and the fact he took his time when he could’ve been short and annoyed he let me be me. He was patient, well informed and friendly. I will definitely be recommending his facility to all of my people. Thank you again Nicolas! 10 out of 10!

We got our furniture back from there two months ago. Now some of ours couchs have bed bugs and we have visible bite marks on our bodies. Very unprofessional of this location. Apparently it's common for this place to have many problems.

This is the first time I rent a storage. The stuff shows me the inside unit and guide me how to make an reservation online. She is kind and patient. This place is very clean and easy access, also the price is fair enough.

First of all I booked the storage same day I was moving.paid for my storage starting that day. When i showed up with my moving truck their lock was still on the door and I was unable to get in.so it cost me double to keep the moving truck for another day so I can get into my storage. Then when asked about it. Apparently they don't care about their customers, because I never recieved a call or an email to state that they had even spoken to the manager.then after i went in as I was 6 days late for my payment, they locked my storage unit because I was 6 days late, and when asked about the mistake they told me that the manager had sent a pretty nasty email back but they said told me the nice version of "not their problem and no compensation with be credited or offered on my account". So, I get mistakes happen, but I paid for a day I didnt get to use the storage and paid 150 extra for a moving truck because their lock was still on the unit. With the price of everything now a days having to pay double for a moving truck because of their mistake is unacceptable. And the rude response I got. I will never use them again and will never recommend them. The least they could have done was offer a discount or something to compensate. So not impressed with management or staff.

False advertisement! I got a storage unit with the promotion that the first 4 free weeks are free but they sent me a bill after 2 weeks. To top it off they put a lock on my storage so I can’t access it. I wouldn’t recommend this company, their customer service is garbage.

Nick made setting everything up very simple. Gave us the help needed and had the answers to all the necessary questions we asked. Had a great experience. Would not have been possible with him today.

I recently just took my stuff out of storage because I’ve been waiting for my home to be ready.when the movers were pulling all my stuff out they found mice dropping ALL over my furniture and all over the floor of the unit. We called the employe to come take a look and she didn’t seem phased or shocked about the situation. Which tells me that this is a normal situation for them. We took photos and videos because that’s what the employe told us to do. The worker told me to send it to them to send to management.
Once we got home, took a couple of days to unpack. Found some nice dropping in stuff and holes in all the bags we wrapped stuff In. Once opening up the bed we saw the mice were starting to eat the matrices and bed. We took photos and videos. We did not feel comfortable to sleep in the bed. We notified smart stop and sent them the photos and videos.
When speaking to the assistant manager Nick, he just made fun of how many emails I sent and did not seem to care at all about the damage bed. They did absolutely nothing about the situation and did not care about what happen to
Our stuff.
I would recommend you DO NOT use this storage facility. They do not care what happens to your stuff. Protect your stuff and your self. Obviously they company doesn’t care what happens to your stuff in the process, but that they make a dollar.
I wi never use them again.

Nick was very helpful to me and my parents. He accommodated us by staying after his working hours on a long weekend Sunday all to make sure our reservation was looked after appropriately. He was courteous and polite. Thanks Nick!

Really friendly staff and very straightforward procedure. Tania was so sweet, she answered all our questions patiently and showed us around all over the facility until we found a unit we were pleased with. Will definitely recommend to others!

After using various storage facilities, this is the 'Best' place. Very clean, with regular service elevators that are even with floor. Previous facility had elevators that could carry a 3500# car, totally unnecessary; super slow. Well lighted, and no stubborn joints in the flooring system, where carts would get stuck. I am staying!

I have been storing some stuff at this location for approx. 2 years. After Christmas I had to downsize my unit. It was a challenging time for me as I had to dispose of many items. I met Robbie in the office. What a blessing she is. She very patiently helped me to organize my new contract, gave me some valuable personal inspiration and was very supportive. I have NOT had customer service like this in over 10 years! Just when I lost all hope on Customer service representatives, Robbie renewed my faith. Thank you ever so kindly Robbie. SmartStop Self Storage is lucky to have you! And I feel blessed to have met you.

The system won't allow me to make a payment on the account by phone but wants me to pay through a customer rep, who then wants to charge an extra $8 for live service. This is high-class robbery under the disguise of personal customer Service. The Mavis Rd location is grossly understaffed with some disgruntled customers, (we discuss our frustration in the parking lot).

Horrible place. No return policy on merchandise even if they are unused and taken back next hour/day. Pls dont buy anything unless you are 1000000% sure you gonna use it.

I came today and rented a store. Miss mondeep was very nice. She helped me a lot. She was very friendly and I don't speak English well. She could understand me and the place was safe and clean.

Beware of going here. After a few months they suddenly raised the monthly rate to almost double with less than a month’s notice. And they charged another admin fee on top of that. Felt like they just gave us a good deal to lure us in, only to raise the price astronomically.

Tania was great! Answered all my questions was super friendly and professional. Location was super clean and had a lot of lighting.

I was at this location a few days ago with my husband and we were impressed with the service provided to us. There was a gentleman named Harmeet who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to guide us with the appropriate size unit. I have had units before at other facilities but not satisfied. We are glad we were able to find a facility we were happy with.

I was served by this really nice girl named Christina she was wonderful and made it so easy to get my unit. I'll be back because of her

The people at Smart Stop Storage have been very kind and helpful since I started going there it has been very accessible the rates have been a little bit high but you pay what you want quality. I recommend this location and that anybody that needs themselves from Storage make a smart decision by coming down to Smart Stop on Mavis thanks to the great teams were always helping me even though I forgot my code cuz I lose my wallet or random stuff it's not always fun when you have a storage locker but it sure can be convenient!

I've never used a storage facility before and was a bit worried about hidden fees, limitation of access, and potential security risks. This place is absolutely not only the best storage facility in this city (no doubt!) but also one of the best managed businesses overall!

They are slightly more expensive than some competition but their location, competent and helpful staff, and quality services easily make up for it. Highly recommend.

Today I thought I would have a hard time trying to find the right unit, but I got lucky when I was greeted by Robert who assisted me the whole time. He was great. I would recommend this storage any day for great customer service.

I had to rent a unit for a number of years at the Mississiaga Mavis location and was broken into once and learned they had zero operational cameras inside. I was told the inside camera were fake and not even hooked up! Also had to deal with mice infestation in my unit. Overall the place is filthy along with constant price hikes I had enough. Only positive I can say is that the people at front desk are always polite. I have moved all my stuff to UltraStor self storage in Burlington where it’s spotless, super safe and secure, with great staff and very good prices. Save your money and your belongings and just go to UltraStor. It’s worth the drive to me.

We got a unit at mavis location ending of June we moved our stuff in on the 29th of June. Everything was fine. We get a call about a week and half after our unit has been broken into along with a few other units. Our unit was packed and I mean packed, everything was in there because we had not found a place and we are pretty much crashing in my parents one bedroom apartment in a seniors building at that. Now we go to do our claim and I send a list of stuff that are missing that I know I don’t see in there, mind you I haven’t gone through every little thing so there actually might be more missing. Anyway I send the list and get a call saying that’s an extensive list, and my unit was packed and how could this be. So they are pretty much questioning me. Not a problem because I have pictures of everything and if they can go find all these items inside my storage unit I will more than happy to close this claim. DON’T GO AROUND QUESTIONING PEOPLE THAT TRUSTED TO PUT THEIR BELONGINGS AT YOUR FACILITY. Now we should be questioning your company. Why have their been so many break ins? Looks like it’s setup by the people working there. And why do you not have proper security cameras or just proper security period? ! I don’t even care about the money I want my belongings that were taken. Some I won’t be able to replace exact. This is stressful time, moving in its self is stressful let alone having someone steal your stuff and then have people tell you that well doesn’t look like your stuff is missing because your unit was full and still is pretty full. Yes it is, the thief didn’t take my furniture, they didn’t take my old heavy TVs. I can’t even bother with this company. I want to find a place and move my stuff from there because it’s like I’m paying to be robbed.

Great staff, prices do increase, but they send letters a month ahead to give u time to decide if you want to stay at new rate. Reynoldo is a great person to talk to if u have any issues.
