SmartStop Self Storage

This is the second time I have rented a storage locker from Smartstop at this location. The facility is bright and clean. The washroom is spotless. I received excellent customer service. I had a very specific short term need for a 10 x 15 locker. I was given a locker that faced the street on the fourth floor. The view was beautiful. The lighting was excellent. I was able to execute a project I was working on with ease. I would definitely rent here again. I have tried another facility, and this is far superior.

In particular, I want to personally thank Michelle and her colleagues Eddy and Khushi, who have continuously taken time to explain all options and services available for our needs. Due to the nature of my work, their bespoke recommendations allowed me to not only get the right storage space for my equipment, but also they provided me with valuable insights to get me the best deal. In addition, Michelle, Eddy and Khushi are patient, knowledgeable and always positive. The location is extremely clean, safe and has great lighting. They start off we great deals and promotions.then 6 month later they triple the cost without notice ($120 per month then over night changed to $370)

Love this place. Very clean, great access, easy to enter. Very friendly staff as well. Washrooms on site were very clean also. Definitely recommend

Avoid this place! We have been customers for 2 years. And how do they reward loyalty? They almost tripled the monthly cost. So we canceled it. Check your statements frequently because they raise the price every 6 months, with insane increase!

I met the most kind professional called Manny at the storage centre this morning at the clarkson location… we had a situation where my stuff (we assumed went missing) and put us into a major panic situation…. He handled us and the situation with grace, patience and sensibility with the help of which we could find our stuff back and resolve this hickup so well…

Great staff Michelle, Julia and Manny. Very friendly and excellent at their work. They went out of their way to find me the perfect unit.

Staff is rude and disrespectful, the facility is often dirty (probably a tenant issue, but never seen this level of mess in other smartstop locations) found tenants using the loading area for business purposes (car detailing). They raise the rate 3 times in 18 months, doubling the rate in that period of time; last raise, without sending notice; left after this last raise and after my experience with the lady in the counter.

Nice place and location. Their staff is also pleasant to deal with. The problem is their prices. When I signed the contract, I explicitly asked to not pay for insurance (that info is on their website, that you can opt out). They said they would put a note on my contract stating that "client opt out" and I wouldn't be charged. Well, I was charged and when called them, they say that it is now mandatory. Prices you see on their website, are not the tones you will pay.

Manny and Michelle were really awesome people. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for storage.
