Got charged for basic wash but they never washed my hair. It was basically just a cut and I had to offer myself a blow dry. I always come here and its disappointing that this is the very first ever I’m leaving a review.

Not all hairstylists are the same. You have to know who is good. This time I had to recut my hair myself after getting home. Is it normal to charge extra $5.00 if you want your wet hair blown dry before leaving the salon?

I brought my son there to see Rebecca, I will never go back!

She was incredibly rude to my son and I, and actually made him cry!

He has longer hair, and the minute we sat down, we got a rude lecture from her on hair brushing, she lectured my son and was very rude and in a very bad mood. (Yes, maybe we should have brushed his hair, but we were in a big rush).

She should not be in a customer service industry if you cannot put a smile on her face or at least pretend to be pleasant!

This was by far the most miserable woman I have seen in any customer service position.

I was incredibly uncomfortable with her attitude and mood, I finally decided to pull my son before she even got a pair of scissors out!

I have been here to this salon before and had one of the other ladies do my hair and she was very pleasant and had a nice smile on her face.

But this tainted me and I will never go back.

Had an appointment. Was waiting for 15 minutes. Someone else came in with the Same time appointment and was taken in immediately while we continue waiting with my ADHD child. A gentle got up to leave and we were still not taken in. So we left. Ridiculous we had an appointment.

I arrove at the hair salon with dark red hair, but about 3 inches of new hair growth was a beautiful rich copper/orange and my roots were bleach blonde and dark blonde, my hair looked like a weird piece of candy corn (after a bad experience from Sally's) it was also stiff, dry, and crunchy from the products that I used from Sally's. But a hairstylist (or more accurately hair magician) named Bianca was able to use her immense talent to transform my hot mess of a rats nest into the most stunning/striking copper/orange shades I have ever seen! I can't stop smiling, the cut she gave me feels so much lighter, my hair is so soft, and the colour is just out of this world! Freaking hair sorcery!
*two week update* the colour completely faded after one wash I loved the colour but it wasn't worth $300 to only last one week

Absolute terrible haircut, the back of my hair is butchered I guess when you say only cut a small amount off means make her hair so uamageable that even styling is impossible. I went from below shoulders hair to almost a boyish cut above my shoulders

I was visiting and Rebecca took care of me! Sh told me all the hints I didn't know, she has told me many secrets and completed it with an amazing hairstyle I have today. I loved my experience, vibe and all recommendations! I strongly recommend Rebecca as a hair stylist- she is a very cool professional who knows what she is doing and very sienscere in her recommendations! Se Rebecca)

Nice staff, great place for a quick snip while having a Walmart mooch. I always make an appointment these days. Prices have gone up as they should after what all beauty salons have gone through during Covid.

Booked online only for my appointments to be cancelled and then to be told they're booked. What's the point of having online booking if it doesn't show the actual times available? This was me giving them another try after last time one of the hairdressers decided to but in and be rude when I was telling my child to put my phone number for their covid form, telling him he's not allowed to put anyone but his own phone number when he doesn't even have his own phone.

So disappointed in the this location. Should not have online booking available if they are not honoring the appointments Thank you for calling to advise but should not even be available

Love this salon because of Pauline. She knows my hair and knows what has to be done to it. Cannot wait till it opens again, desperately need a good haircut.

I drive from another city just because I normally deal with Ana & ur website went from Temporary closed to Open so I drove there to find U CLOSED, so why did u update ur website if u wer still closed not too happy

It's very bad experience today she cut my beard. She should know how to cut the hair.
She spoiled my day.

The service was excellent! The staff was very professional and spoke very friendly. The price could be reduced a bit which is why I gave 4 rating!

My wife goes for a cut and dye. When she gets there she has to cancel the dye because it went from $60 to $125 for the dye $150 for a cut and dye. They would not listen to her request which would have cut the $125 into like $65 but the would not do as she asked. So she cancels the dye and gets just a cut.they butchered the back of her hair, more choppy then the sea in a storm. I’m guessing that was because she did t want to get ripped off for the dye, so they cut her hair poorly.

I am happy with Smart Style Hair Salon. Anna and Pauline gave me good advise and styled my hair. They are experienced (15years and more) and expert. I was nervous cutting my long hair but they made me comfortable and gave me good advise. If you do not like hair do, you can go there next day and ask for advise again with in 7 days. I love my new hair style and Thank you Smart Style Team.

Horrible staff. I went for hair cut for my 2 year old son and they said my son kicked the hair dresser. He is a baby. He was agitated! The hair dresser also hurt my 2 year old behind his ears with the trimmer but I didn’t complain because my son was crying. But for them to say that my 2 year old kicked the hair dresser in stomach is not nice! Be a little considerate! Never going there again!

I got a lady who had golden blonde hair and seemed like she was the owner of the store. I just got a haircut no colour quickly for thanksgiving and I wanted a massive change and chopped off half my hair. I asked for the length to be to my armpit and very long layers to make the cut not look blunt. Lady made layers a bit to short and my hair a bit to short but I still love how it turned out. I suggest saying what you want but half and inch longer and then you will get your desired length. Lady gave me lots of tips but seemed like she was trying to sell me everything in her store. I felt a bit guilted into buying something so I bought some of the design line silk drops and I will admit there very good. I was expecting to pay 30$ but price quickly made its way all of the sudden to 52$. Overall pretty good experience. But wouldn’t choose to go here again, I had no choice because all hair cutters were closed on thanksgiving Monday except them and I decided to take the chances.

Iv been contacting this location over the last week or so looking for my stylist Kayce. I was told she isnt isn't working multiple times but never given any other information. Today I went to the magicuts on thorold store road by chance because I needed to get my hair done finally and to my surprise I found Kayce there. She informed me that she transferred to this location from the oakwood store a couple of weeks ago.and is full time permanently at the thorold store road location. And no longer working at the oakwood store. So for anyone who may be looking for her and not being given this information I figured I would post a review to ensure her clients can find her.

Needs more staff. Seems to be always understaffed and the staffs attitude shows it. If you can't stand a silent cut, don't go here.

Very bad. The place always seems to be low on staff. Staff is very unexperienced. Only had one good haircut here and I think it was Jay. That was the only good barber. The rest seem like they don't know what they're doing and when you tell them how to cut it they do it completely wrong. Ask the old lady to make my hair slightly shorter and put a part line. She shaved the entire side of my head. Also she did not shampoo or wash my hair. However, I was still charged for it. Waste of 25 dollars. Would not reccomend, don't waste your time. She says she had 30 years of experience but it doesn't even seem like 2. The staff don't know the new styles and haircuts and are too old.

Truly awful experience. I went to this "salon" about a year ago and wanted to change up my hair color. I explained what I wanted and the lady helping me went to go talk to her boss she explained it would be very expensive and take a long time (I was well aware this would be the case) I said yes ok let's do it. She then repeated it would be Very! Expansive. Implying I wouldn't be able to pay (I look like an average middle class person I'm in my mid thirties not a teenager). The process did take a long time as expected. There is no bathroom in the salon so you have to walk out into Walmart and use their bathroom with the cape and your foils in. When she was done I noticed my natural hair color peeking through the brown black and mentioned this. The lady said oh that's just the lighting. After a few days the hair color bled out almost completely. I bought the shampoo and conditioner the salon suggested and it didn't help save the color. Because I had gone dark with blue and purple highlights the faded color was a total mess. Grey strips in Auburn hair by the end of week 2. I'm not even sure how this was possible unless they use semi permanent dyes. Would not recommend ever.

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I took my 5 year old here for a haircut, and although it's not a luxury salon and it's in WalMart I figured why not? He is 5. How do you screw up a 5 year olds hair? The lady butchered my sons hair before pictures. And mind you, my son is not a fidgety, difficult kid. He sits still, and listens. He does not give anyone a hard time. He is probably the idea child client. A simple faux hawk turned into a buzz cut. She literally cut off everything! Never again. Honestly, don't waste your money.

I went to walmart to the salon cause I wanted high lights. And didnt want to send to much on it. I had color and foils and a trim and dry. No curl or straightening. When I went to pay I was shocked it 200. I never said a word to the girl. She was good and dont make the prices. So I called there head office to see if there was a mistake. Nope in fact she didnt charge enough. Should have been more cause my hair is past my shoulders. This is how it was broke down. I am just gonna round up the numbers.
88. For foils (cause past the shoulders) then 58 for color (should have been more cause past the shoulders.
26 for cut and dry only
That adds up to 172. Then tax is 22
GRAND TOTAL FOR A SALON IN WALMART IS
194 then tip!
I could have went to a much nicer salon than walmart. Listening to kids crying and people everywhere.
So just heads up. Just because it's in a walmart building it dont make it a cheaper place to go!
I would have expected this price a nice quite salon that offers you coffee or water. Not a walmart salon.
Very unhappy customer!
