We just made the mistake if coming here as they were closing. I swear these fries must have been dug out ov the back os some rack as they were cleaning up. Old, cold, hard.
Hi came to Samsgburge restaurant . Today and it lovely burger and I am big fan of shahveer jafry and I watched his video's and I know him from childhood. Burger was awesome thanks to Shahveer jafry I will give five stars. I will come again thank you
DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE. I REPEAT, DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE. Got food poisoning from the signature smash burger and puked about 2 or 3 hours later on the plane! Horrible experience, I had just woken up from a little nap on the plane, felt warm/sweaty, stomach felt so weird, claustrophobic, before I knew it I was running to the bathroom puking into the paper bag! This place is way too expensive for the trash food it serves! The burger had too many vegetables stacked on top of each other, I took half of them off. Not to mention I had to stop eating the burger halfway thru bc my stomach started feeling weird. Disgusting! Seen other reviews on here from ppl who had the same exact experience as me! I wish I had read the reviews first. This place needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!
Before catching the flight yesterday 21st May 23. I ordered ch. Fingers or ch strip I paid for 5 pieces but when I opened in the flight it was 4. The reason when I was at the smash burger all the employees they are punjabis and keep talking talking in there native language no attention on work. I suggest the manage tell your worker speak English or French while working and only work talk so no mistakes like what they done in my order. Thanks
Well this is another food court restaurant inside the Toronto airport so menu limited again. But we did have a grilled chicken sandwich each and they hit the spot. A multi-grain bun was plus and lettuce is crisp. Tomato is very good also which was nice. It came with red onion to give it nice flavor. We enjoyed the grilled taste of the chicken. So if you're in terminal b Toronto airport stop by
The pictures in their menu looks delicious in reality is not bad but not for me to buy them againg. I actually like the fries. The bread in the burger was too cold otherwise yust mmm ok. Something really weird with the test of the drink I order a ginger ale I can explain but was weird.
So, I know it's airport food but. I can now officially say I've eaten the worst burger ever in my life. $20 later, I wish I had just gone to the sit down resto down the way. Smash burger? More like trash burger. Even a Tim's lunch sandwich would have been better. Don't believe the line up, it's a trap! This was at YYZ aka Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada.
Service was good but wow, this is the most tasteless burger I've ever had in my life it was the beef burger with mushrooms on it, I should have just went to the smokes burriterie instead, the garlic fries literally had a pool of oil at the bottom of the fries cup. Save your money.you actually get much tastier burgers at McDonald's and burger king for way cheaper.blows my mind that people leave decent reviews.probably the same people that can't handle black pepper and salt on boiled chicken
Cold food, rude staff. We ordered the poutine and the gravy was refrigerator cold, as was the cheese. After asking for it to be warmed up, the staff were rude and it came back colder. Avoid this place.
I am not sure why this place is so underrated. In all honesty, I have been here 3 times and I have always enjoyed how fresh and tasty their food is. They are generous with their food and portions are quite substantial. Definitely will be coming here again
This disgusting restaurant gave me terrible food poisoning. I wish I had read the reviews and never ordered from here. I ordered the signature smash burger and within an hour of eating it I felt like something was wrong. Fast forward a few hours and I’m having to throw up on the plane during take off. I was sick for 2 full days after this. I’m going to be complaining to Pearson airport and the health authority about this disgusting and nasty place
I spent 13 dollars on one burger. The concept of the smash burger is juicy and hot. This burger was like an old Burger King burger. No juice, no Color, no flavour. Yikes
Amazing food. And even with things a bit busy, the cashier was able to confirm with the cook that my burger could be served on a bed of lettuce instead of a bun. Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. A great way to cap off our holiday travels. Thank you!
Bad taste and very dry burgers. The smash fries were extremely oily to an extent that you could literally see the floating in the cup they are served in. The oil had gone bad too.
DON'T GO HERE IF YOU LIKE SMASHBURGER. It is a sad, sad representation of the brand. Waited a long time for a bland burger that didn't even have that glorious sear that is the main advantage of a Smashburger over other burgers. I honestly wish I could go back in time and make a difference choice.so unbelievably disappointing.
The chicken tenders in their menu photo looked sizeable and I ordered the 5 piece and they were teeny tiny, more like nuggets, and for $13 and that doesn’t even come with fries or anything!
Ordered for family. I had the Mushroom & Swiss burger, a chocolate shake, and Smash Fries. Slow prep. Burger was sad - overcooked, odd flavor, and you could not see the burger for the bun. The fries were not Smash Fries and the container was half-filled. The shake tasted a little off and was served with a low-qaulity paper straw. They then gave me a plastic spoon to replace the paper straw - not sure how that helped the environment. My son's chicken fingers were dry and served with refrigerator-cold BBQ sauce (which he elected not to eat). He said his shake tasted like paper. My wife's meal, a chicken mushroom & swiss, was "edible. " I have had Smash Burger in other locations and was shocked by how bad this was.
Had Smashburger at the Airport before catching our flight, overall 5/10, the burger was not bad I like the concept of the burger, but I guess because it is the Airport they have the burgers and fries already made so it is a hit-miss thing, my fries were moist 2 burgers were fresh hot and the 3rd was cold.
Absolute trash. I really enjoy Smashburger at other locations, however HMS Host is a terrible operator. Second time with bad food quality. Skip this location and get a real Smashburger in the States - it will be a much better experience. You think after a 20 min wait for food it would come out fresh, but no. Undercooked and cold fries, cold burger buns, and overpriced. Should be renamed Trashburger because that’s where it ended up.
Officially had the worst burger of my life here.the whole thing was stone cold, cheese not even slightly melted suggesting the patty was cold when it went on.more tomato slices and red onions than meat.slapped together like they just didn't care at all.showed it to the cashier who said that was normal and they can remake it if I wanted.decided not to wait another 10mins for the same horrid thing.avoid at all costs.literally anything in the airport is better and at a better price for it.
I work at thee airport and honestly they are over priced and the amount of food you get for the prices they sell at is ridiculous. It ain't all that. Burger was alright not the best. Chicken fingers are way over priced for the size and amount you get. Was stuck with this because of a long line at tims. Would not buy again much more places in the airport that you can get your moneys worth
Arrived at the Pearson International and wanted something other than Timmy's. Wrong move! This was my first time and bought an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich without the cheese. It was barely palatable. Bun buttered and toasted almost burned and eggs were greasy.
This was actually a really good burger. The bad part of it was that it was pretty messy before my flight! Will definitely go again next time I’m there.
***Avoid at all costs**** $35 for two bacon burgers, 2 fries and 2 waters. Burgers fit the definition of generic, bacon on it was raw and had to be picked off. Fries were worse then McDonald's and cold. Might be the worst burger I've ever had. Staff gave 0 Fs to their job or the food they were serving.
I had a surprisingly good Cobb Salad. I was skeptical that an airport burger place would have an acceptable salad and asked the order taker who assured me it was pretty good and I am happy that she was correct.
The toppings were not n lines along the top and were cheese, onions, tomatoes, real blue cheese, warm bacon, freshly cooked egg. I did not buy optional chicken. Buttermilk ranch dressing was fine.
Container is fairly tightly packed so it was difficult to mix ingredients. I ended up putting on dressing, reattaching the kid and shaking vigorously to mix.
This was my first time trying this place, I stopped by in the morning and ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg cheese, bacon and sweet potato fries ($14). The sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious, beautifully crispy and not greasy at all. The sandwich was not so great, it was way too greasy I couldn't even finish it. I also didn't like that they did not have small ketchup bags, they had a dispenser but who is going to carry that around - especially considering they don't provide trays. The service was very quick and the staff was nice. Overall it was an ok experience, I'm giving an extra star just for the sweet potato fries.
0/5. If you want a cheap and lousy burger, eat here. Underwhelming and not worth the wait. It seems they’re making a burger worthy of the description: avocado, apple smoked bacon, etc. Yum? No! Just slapped on a busted beef patty between two flimsy buns. Go somewhere else.
Poor customer service and awful harvest salad! The milkshake was also poorly made. Do yourself a favor and walk a few more steps to Subway or Tim Hortons. Won't be back!
Although the restaurant is called "Smashburger" they do not in fact serve Smashburgers. They serve sub par, conventional, previously frozen burgers. Mine was served on a cold bun, although another guest at my table had a warm bun.
The service was as lukewarm as the food.
I really am not impressed, and will not be returning.
Their self service tablet charged me for my meal but said there was a failure and the order did not go through. So got charged twice for my keal. The burger and fries were really average.
Waay to monopolized in the area so extremely expensive. Wait time 15-30 mins. Employees are very exhausted and in a bad mood. Stay away not worth the taste or headache.
Cold food, soggy greasy fries, and definitely not a "smash" burger despite the name. Don't bother trying to save money by going here. Better to cough up the extra couple bucks and eat somewhere else in the airport.
Was just looking for something quick and easy while in the Toronto International airport. Never had their food before and was very pleasantly surprised. I had the classic chicken burger and it was delicious!
Absolutely pathetic. My daughter’s burger was missing cheese and toppings. Basically a burnt burger between two buns. My son’s burger was actually missing the burger patty! Just toppings! My wife’s burger had so much sauce going everywhere it was an extreme mess to eat. I had the jalapeño burger which was simply ok. Barely any BBQ sauce and a small burnt patty. Seriously? All of this for $45? They also forget an order of fries. Before leaving I asked the girl at the counter if everything was correct in the order and she assured me that it was. It was only after I got back to my gate that I realized what a mess of an order it truly was. When I returned to the counter to explain what happened they were very apologetic. They fixed the order but this didn’t really fix the fact that the food was barely passable. I will be contacting Corporate.
I've had an okay burger here in the past. But the last one was like a child's burger. Unreasonably small burger considering the price, and was more on the greasy side than the juicy side. Wished I had taken a photo to show the size but it was gone in a couple bites.
Really poor experience overall. When I first got my meal they forgot to put a patty in my burger - literally just a bun with toppings. They fixed this immediately when I went up to complain, but the burger itself was pretty lousy. It tasted as you would expect for a place that has enough attention to detail where they forget a patty.
I ate here very recently, and they did have a varied selection of items, but the burgers were decent, but nothing special. We ate around 10: 30 pm, the egg bun felt a little stale, but it probably could have been as they were the last buns. When ordering fries, make sure to look closely at the menu, as smashfries (olive oil, rosemary, garlic) and sweet potato fries were priced the same as fries so better bang for your buck.
I wish I saw the review online before ordering food from smashburger. I got my burger and had to run to catch my plane. The Patty was burnt. I can't believe they serve burnt burgers.paying 10$ for a burnt burgers it is pretty sad.
This place is AW - FUL I ordered the avocado bean burger and there was barely any avocado in the burger the bun was dry and the bean patty was disgusting and flavourless. I felt sick after I ate it. Whoever is reading this, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT buy any food from here. If I could give this place zero stars I’d be glad to.
I agree with other reviews. For the price the burger should be bigger but I'd settle for some actual taste. I got the bacon cheeseburger and regular fries. Both were missing flavor. If you could imagine, even the bacon was without much flavor. It's better than typical fast food burgers but not worth the price.
Got the Bacon Cheeseburger and they literally forgot the bacon. They exchanged the burger with one that had bacon. Once I had it, literally was just a slightly larger Bacon Cheeseburger from McDonalds, except 4x the price. If I had an opportunity, I would've chosen the burger at McDonald's. Would not recommend if you're in terminal 3, find somewhere else.
Was expecting better and dissatisfied with the burger. I ordered a truffle mushroom burger and the price for this is not worth it. Don't order. Would better have a cheese burger from McDonald's.
Very nice food, the Cashier and the cooks were friendly they accommodate my food allergen, in very fast and nice seasoning me and my family we had 5 cheese burgers, 5 Bec cheese burgers in the evening I strongly recommended
Honestly I wouldn't have left a review if it wasn't for me looking the place up and seeing some awful reviews. I got my burger in the morning around 6 and it was honestly so good I ate two. Maybe it's just because I went when there was only 3 people being served and they had time to make things better? I thought it was pretty good
