Smile Direct Club

Awful customer service. While they have 24/7 chat support, the employees are consistently making mistakes, misunderstanding requests, and unable to provide answers to basic questions. 2 months into my plan and I've been told 4 times my Standard Dental Claim Form for insurance reimbursement will be provided in 5 days. Still haven't received it.

Don't get trap by their nice disposition and don't waste your time there and go see a real orthodontic doctor. The technicians are not appropriately qualified to be dentists and have zero knowledge of dentistry and they keep pestering/ harassing you to let them record the session. If by any means you let them film you, trust me the"courteous service they offer will all of sudden disappear. They don't even offer a discount whatever it's value maybe for appearing as a spokesperson for their company, in movies, passersby and figurants they get paid for their appearance in the said movie. They're shameless. This company is a treacherous liar that tries to sell hope to people that are in need of help. Since I've started their"treatment", I've had two dental emergencies. After the first scanning appointment, they're constantly badgering by email for you to quickly pay for the so you can start your "treatment". They don't care about your well being they only care for your money and don't worry I've paid the total due at once. Thank you for considering my point of view on this matter.

Ne vous laissez pas berner pas leur disposition accueillante et ne perdez pas votre temps là-bas et consultez un vrai orthodontiste, les techniciens n'ont aucune base en dentisterie et passe leur temps à vous harceler pour que vous les laissez vous filmer. Et si par un quelconque hazard vous relâcher votre vigilance et les laissez vous filmer "leur courtoisie" disparaît très de manière très distincte. Ils ne vous offre même pas de rabais quelque soit sa valeur pour avoir été une tête d'affiche pour leur compagnie, alors que les figurants qui paraissent dans un film se font toujours payer par la production. C'est une compagnie de menteur qui tente de vendre de l'espoir aux gens qui ont besoin d'aide. Depuis que j'ai commencé leur "traitement" j'ai eu deux urgence dentaire. Et lorsque vous sortez du premier rendez-vous, ils vous harcèlent constamment par email pour que vous envoyez de l'argent pour pouvoir débuter. Ils se fichent de votre bien-être, ils se soucis uniquement de votre argent si vous cherchez à savoir de quelle manière j'ai payé, j'ai acquitté mon dù en un seul paiement. Merci de considérer mon point de vue sur ce sujet.

Very poor planning, I have had to call several times to see if they recieved my imprints, and I have had to wait 2 months for my new set and still haven't recieved anything.customer service were very nice but the problem is the system that is disorganized. I shouldn't have to call multiple times while the aligners I wear at night in the meantime are practically falling apart. I expect at least some updates on what's going on.because I have had to call to find out that I wasn't going to recieve my aligners because there were 2 orders, one for my final set which I couldn't finish and the second for the rest of my new aligners based of my new impression kit.very slow and it needs to be improved if I am to recommend.for now I don't recommend.getting aligners shouldn't be this convoluted.

It’s just a waste of money don’t be fooled to this publicity. I ended up getting it fixed to Orthodontists because every time I asked for replacement of aligners it’s always wrong size and it takes awhile. If I were you save money and go directly to your local orthodontist. Be smart and don’t waste money.

Everyone was very professional and friendly. The imaging is very quick. Some people might find it uncomfortable, but I thought it was pretty good considering what this camera does.
I could do with a little less personal chit chat, but that is just my preference.

My experience with customer service was and currently is less than acceptable.
I received a defective set if retainers and was not provided with support for 4 days. After contacting them several times, they simply told me to skip them and go on to the next week's set. There was no reimbursement of any sort for this.
I was promised 2 sets of free retainers. One for allowing my consultation to be recorded for educational purposes and one for an extended delay in receiving my kit. I received one set.
I was contacted in May to purchase retainers and stated that I was still owed one pair. I have never heard back. It is now August.
Very poor customer support.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. The product, if and when you get it is decent but for the love of god do not deal with any of their smile "specialists". The most unhelpful people i have ever contacted. Called the company and it sounds like a house party at their call centre.

It’s very obvious that they don’t exploit the need of those who suffer from crooked teeth like other companies do for example most places charge an assessment fee and then they charge a fee to make a mould of your teeth there alone it can cost around $200 to $300 in this case with my experience with Smile Direct Club I got a 3D scan for free plus the consultation was also free and best of all Sevda and Kyle are very nicre, friendly and polite people, you can tell they are genuine human beings; also what I love the most about Smile Direct Club is their price, quality of service and effectiveness; for example rather then like most of the competitors that charge up to $15,000 for braces that are very unpleasant to wear for a period of three years I will get envisilign for 6 months at a cost of about $2,500 mind you I have severe crooked teeth and I’ve suffered from not showing my smile to others and for that reason I have few friends and lost many however now thanks to Smile Direct Club I’m and now on the right path to become who I really am ME and that is the best gift I have ever received in my lifetime

Kelsey was absolutely reassuring about the whole process and made sure to explain to me how it would all go. This very purple dental office made me smile already, can't wait to start my treatment!

The staff was all very friendly and everything was well prepared and well explained! They made me feel super comfortable and I got a bunch of free stuff which was also pretty great!

It was great.alysha was helpful and kind she is great and other who i spoke with also were excellent people.

I felt well informed about the product and the customer service made me feel at ease and the rep knew exactly how to include each detailed information of my case into context and come up with a good plan and the best part was the price costing very little to fix my teeth in comparison to other similar competitors. I hope their team of orthodontists are as good as the staff who initiate the images and my case. The Ottawa office at 225 Metcalfe was very clean well presented and no hassle in negotiating when to sign up. A nice gift bag combined with a thank you for visiting us with great smiles made me feel very appreciated. Thabk you Allyshia for your devoted attention

Really cool set-up! The office space was fantastic, very bright and clean. The staff were superb, very professional and the absolute friendliest. I did lots of research before choosing to go in for a visit and I was definetly not disappointed.

Had my initial appointment this morning. Sevda was very helpful. She answered all my questions and explained each step in detail.

I was very comfortable throughout the appointment. I would definitely recommend you book your feee appointment even if it’s just to weigh your tooth straightening options.

Although new in Ottawa they are very responsive in answering questions. Well organized. Currently using them and on the second week, received everything within a week.

Great customer service, and fast. They answer any questions you may have and make the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Can’t wait to receive my aligners:)

- As I have only just completed my scan and not yet received any aligners, I am only reviewing my one experience in the Smile Shop and not Smile Direct Club as a whole -

The offices were easy to find, especially with detailed directions/instructions sent to both my email and phone. City driving and parking give me anxiety so this was helpful.

I was greeted by Kelsey, who was very friendly and informative. I was given several chances to ask any questions, but, with all the information given, most had already been answered.

One point I would like to note would be that in terms of employees I interacted with, their smiles were not straight. Is there a reason why they are not taking advantage of the tools provided? I work in the optometry field and there is a reason why you see most employees in an Eye Doctor’s office wearing glasses as opposed to laser eye surgery.

Overall I had an enjoyable experience and am looking forward to the next step!

I had a great experience today at smile direct club in Ottawa! Sevda and the other staff were so very welcoming and friendly. Very professional place, and the environment was clean. The updated with was a blast to see my teeth on the scan. I received a free whitening kit too!

I went in for my 3D scan at the Ottawa location. I was a little nervous at first because I am insecure of my smile, however I was welcomed by Kelsey (SDC Ottawa) who made me feel very at ease! He answered all my questions and I left feeling more confident and excited to start the process with Smile Direct. It's a judgment free zone that has a very positive atmosphere. Another bonus is you get to leave with a whitening kit for FREE. I look forward to my journey with Smile Direct.

The staff was very friendly. I have kids as well as a ouple friends who came with me. They had coloring books and crayons available for kids, qhich i thought was great. My 3d tech's name was Dammy, who was extremely friendly and andwered every question I asked. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience at SDC Ottawa. Greeted and taken care of by Allie who listened to my smile story, walked me through the process, answered all my questions, and completed the 3D smile scan quickly and professionally. I am so excited to see these results and would highly recommend SDC Ottawa!

So excited for these guys! Was a little hesitated to go due to the location (my salon suits) but when I arrived it was clear how professional everything was. Dammy who walked me through everything was great! The conversation I had with the lady at the front made me feel comfortable with everything I was doing. Im excited to see if I qualify and how my journey will go!

This review is for the smile shop alone as I have yet to receive my kit.
The shop was clean and tiny, it looked extremely professional. In fact, it looked better than my dentists’ office.

The staff member who assisted me we very professional, courteous and informative.
She answered all my questions - I had a lot of them - and made sure I was comfortable with the process.

Registration is quick and easy, most of it is done by the technician.
We then proceeded to take some pictures and perform the scan. This part was pretty cool since the machine instantly shows you a 3D image of your teeth.
After the imaging was complete I was given a nice goodie back with tooth brush, floss, balm and a whitening kit.

Very nice experience, the whole process has a good balance of tech and personal touch. Branding looks great.

Allie was super helpful and informative. Walked me through what she was doing and was super friendly!

My appointment was handled by Mr. Kelsey who was very friendly. He was super Jolly and funny (Nice British accent). The 3D scan he performed was pretty impressive too.
He stopped and took his time to make sure he capture the "smile" in detail. Even at time stopped, to explain and was very kind and gentle. I came in excited and he really build the anticipation to my smile journey even more.
Wasn't pushy about getting me to sign on right away, which I really appreciate. Not to mention the many Gift (s)

The two ladies (which I feel bad I can't remember their names) Welcomed me with wonderful smiles, and did a great job explaining the step by step Process & I really hope they hold true to their promise about putting a note in my file about my free retainer at the end of my process! They also in addition offered to video my session with my phone which I thought was wonderful and I really appreciate that. Plus gave me good tips on places to visit during my stay in Ottawa. You really make a great team!

Left Montreal area this morning to go to Ottawa location of Smile direct. Upon arrival we were greeted by two members of the staff that were upbeat and smiling and enthusiastic. Tala performed my 3D scan with professionalism and precision. She was extremely nice and considerate and answered all my questions promptly, with a smile making sure that I was comfortable. Tala told me that a Montreal location would be opening soon but due to the quality of the service I received if I have to go back to a location I will drive the 1 and a half because it will be worth the service given.

From the moment I encountered the staff at smile club, super friendly and welcoming esspevially my treatment specialist Sevda, she guided me through each and every single step! I would recommend everyone to join and become a member for a super discounted price compared to your typical Invisalign, it’s more technological based and results will be more efficient!

Our visit was quick and simple. The walk through informative and the examination straightforward. Our host was congenial and helpful, and the technology utilized suitably impressive. A fresh and intriguing alternative to traditional orthodontics and worth considering.
