Truly the best dentist for my son. Great staff, couldn’t be more patient and kind. The facility is clean and totally centred around kids with a soft play area and computer games to ensure that there are never fights to come back to the dentist.

Fun place! The waiting area has an Xbox and games and a slide. Makes going to the dentist easier with little ones. Kids say it was great

Tracy was great with my young child. She explained everything and showed my child all the steps in an age appropriate way. Going to the dentist was an extremely stressful experience for myself as a child and by bringing my child to Smile Town I don’t have the added stress of worrying about my child’s stress level because I know its a fun experience.

I've had both of my sons to see the dentist at Smile Town for treatment.
All of the staff are so friendly, and knowledgeable - especially the receptionist with the tattoos. Our dental assistant Tracy was very warm and welcoming. The dentist was very efficient, and had great bed side manner. My son was so comfortable with his environment that we didn't even need to use any sedation for his treatment.
What are you waiting for? ! Pick up the phone and book your kids at Smile Town for their dental needs. You should see their indoor playground! Amazing experience:)

Dr Jonathan was amazing. I was so nervous to be in the dental chair and he made me feel so calm and safe. The manager, Zsofia was also so lovely to deal with in regards to admin and finances! This is an exceptional dental office with caring and wonderful staff and doctors alike.

If I could give a -5 star review I absolutely would. I took my son here because he has an extreme phobia of dentist- we have tried everything this was a last resort. My spouse just sent me a video of a male dentist two inches from my sons face belittling him and being unbelievably rude! I can’t believe the way this brown man spoke to a child with a phobia. Disgusting humans work here- my sons 12 and I would never even give them a chance to come near a younger child!
08 October 2023 17:45
I would never take a child here. They are rude disrespectful and show no regard for your children’s darter OR comfort. They over book and make you wait hours past your appointment time then treat your children like garbage not human beings- very disgusted with this location- they genuinely act like they hate children -
Absolutely reporting their business!

One start for the play structure. This place is absolutely ridiculous. They’re all about the money and not the well-being of your children. Very ignorant staff and disrespectful to not only adults but children as well. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

But overall the service dental was great but the front desk are very rude, they left message for me to call back and I called back they were rude expect someone else to contacted me but I only want to ensure its settle but again very RUDE and attitude. They need learn what is DEAF because they need hired an interpreter for the service appt when they ask for, unhappy with Reception!

This place was so amazing and the perfect introduction to the dentist for my four year old. The waiting room had a massive play structure which immediately put her in a good mood. Her dental hygienist, Velma, was so patient with her. She took the time to explain each of the tools and let my daughter feel them. My daughter interrupted her MANY times during the cleaning but Velma was just so patient and kind with her. The dentist was incredibly friendly and put my daughter right at ease. It was a wonderful experience.
21 October 2022 10:57
Less than ideal that the consult room is directly beside rooms with huge open windows where children are having procedures done and are screaming and having to be restrained. Less than desirable first experience considering this was the first thing my child saw
25 August 2022 1:24
They were so amazing, made my daughter feel so comfortable and did a amazing job. Would highly recommend bringing your young children here:) very impressed, very friendly staff all around great experience!

My son had to have some pretty extensive dental work done and I am glad we ended up here! We had visited a few other offices and were not happy with the experience.
Smile Town Cambridge was different from the second we walked in the door! They made my son feel noticed and heard. They calmed my anxieties around the whole thing.
Surgery day my son had a little upset episode and they all handled it SO well. They kept calm, kept me calm, and did all they could to make him feel comfortable. They kept me updated through the whole procedure and notified me the moment he began to wake. They went over everything and helped us get him safely to the vehicle to head home.
I asked a million and ten questions and they answered them all. I didn't feel like I was being rushed at all.
If your child has dental anxieties this is the place to be. They are knowledgeable, kind, and caring. If we ever need dental work done for my son again, I would not hesitate to come back here to SmileTown in Cambridge.

Dr. Reynolds and the staff here are amazing. Everyone has been very helpful, kind and welcoming. My son looks forward to coming here. And getting to play on the playground here is so much fun. Thank you everyone for making our first dentist experience such a great one:)

They have always been very good with both my kids, even through the pandemic they have made sure the kids feel comfortable.
18 February 2022 22:48
Be wary of this dental office. In my experience, they have been mostly good with routine check-ups and exams. The dental assistants and office staff are great with kids and very patient with my daughter, who is 5 and on the autism spectrum.
I have less positive things to say about how they carry out other procedures. One of their dentists recently filled a cavity for my 9-year-old and the procedure did not go according to plan. It became clear nearly 45 minutes into it that the dentist did not have the necessary materials to fill the tooth efficiently. She even sent her assistant searching for these items, but the assistant came back empty-handed. There was even a discussion between them about whether that particular item had been ordered - seriously? It all felt very disorganized and upsetting, especially because my child was in the chair for far longer than expected, and being administered nitrous oxide the entire time.
I've come to learn that this dental practice is just another business. If you have questions or concerns, they will bend the story to suit their own purpose. This was clear when I later communicated with office management - they lied and said that I had refused an x-ray for my daughter when she attended her check-up 3 weeks prior - not true, because my other 2 kids were both given x-rays that day and I was told that my middle daughter "was not due for an x-ray". Furthermore, if the dentist schedule for the procedure had concerns about the nature of the cavity, don't you think it would be good practice to offer an x-ray on the morning of the procedure PRIOR to filling the cavity?
The entire experience left me with a bad feeling, mainly because I came away feeling that parents are not allowed to ask questions or express concern over procedures and how they are carried out. There are a lot of pediatric dentists out there - do your research! And don't be afraid to speak up when something doesn't feel right (even if the dentist scolds you for advocating for your child!)

Thank you so much for all your help you guys did to my son Nasim this place is absolutely clean and the doctors and the nurses they are so kind
02 November 2021 0:33
The dentist here is so incredibly wonderful and patient with my daughter as are the dental assistants, I highly recommend this dentist especially if your child has any fears, we may the drive from guelph and its absolutely worth it.
19 October 2021 17:15
Amazing staff. They knew exactly what to do and tried new tactics with my daughter, Jordin, who is on the spectrum. Thank you for making her feel comfortable. A lot of dentists will say, “yes we deal with kids with special needs” and I have always been disappointed. Thank you Smile Town.
13 October 2021 16:08
I love SmileTown! My 2 year old is new to the dentist, so she is scared and screams and cries. They are very calm and relaxing with her, which makes ME calm and relaxed. Everyone from the receptionists to the dentists have been super friendly and kind. Always smiling at my daughter (yes, they are wearing masks, but you can see it in their eyes and hear it when they talk). We have been very lucky and have had little to no wait time. As a parent, I enjoy my experience there and I know my daughter will grow to enjoy it. I would recommend SmileTown to anyone, especially if it is your child's first time or the are nervous. I will continue taking my daughter here until they tell me she is too old to continue!

Highly recommend!

Honestly the best service ever. Not only did they help my daugther they helped me out of a tough spot too. Went above and beyong. Fantastic people.
08 September 2021 6:04
Smiletown has aggressive and unsympathetic staff. Traumatized my 7yo. They are not nice people. Showed a lack of organization, empathy and had no back up plan as soon as things started to go bad. Do not bring your child here.

My children went to Smile Town for nearly 6 years because they really liked the play structure. We went despite the fact that we had a new dentist nearly every visit. Unfortunately there was a pretty serious miscommunication between our last check up and having a filling done that has made it so that my children will not be returning.
29 October 2020 14:52
My wife and I both accompanied our kiddo to this establishment a few times. The receptionist and all other helping staff were friendly and optimistic. On our last visit, the dentist (I don't recall her name but she's a female middle aged Persian lady) stated my four year old needed a root canal and began discussing anesthesia without even fully explaining. When questioned about visually identifying the x-ray to show- the dentist brushed over the x-ray that lasted 4 seconds at most and was very direct. She didn't explain the what why how and jumped straight into root canal and payment.
My wife (being medically inclined) looked at the dentist in disgust and stated; 'will think about it'.
I can only imagine how many people are tricked into doing this.
Oh, a follow up at another dentist totally contradicts the recommendation of this place. No root canal! Not even sure why that'll be recommended on a child that still has all her baby teeth.
A star each for the other two dentists we experienced here that was favourable. Not returning just because of that one dentist!
Also, I think their prices are higher here (when you see the climber system set up, you'll know why).
27 October 2020 14:31
My child use to love going to the dentist and had a bad experience when our family dentist retired and was replaced: (the new dentist assistant wasn't very kid friendly: (then we were referred to smile town and thankfully she's warming up to the staff here and now lets them clean her teeth again:) thank you to the staff for being so patient and kind to my daughter!
25 October 2020 13:46
My child had an accident few weeks ago and we went to several dentist for her treatment. Finally one our friends recommended here. In the first visit one of the doctors repeated same diagnisis and treatment as other dentist and told us that they can save my daughter teeths except 1 or 2 of them. Since they were recommended I prefered to proceed with them.
The day of operation, I met a different dentist and I didnt know him, after 1 hour the receptionist came out and told us that they are not able to save her teeth and pulled out 4 front teeth.
It was shocking, we never saw the dentist after that and even they didnt explain us what happened during the operation,
I don't recoomend this place at all, they are not sure about their diagnosis and treatment.
After several call, still I am waiting for simple logical explanation.

I love taking my son here! We just got home from a cleaning, and it went great as usual. The staff are really friendly, and the dentist is really good with kids. Very comforting, and kind. Although its covered by my benefits its still very reasonably priced. Very convenient location as well.

Smiletown is fabulous! From the time we got there to the time we left both my daughter and I felt 100% comfortable. Between the nurses and Dr. Ciz I left feeling like all my questions were answered and my daughter was given the best care!
21 December 2019 15:00
Probably the best dentist I have ever been to! They treated us with utmost respect and I felt as though our son was in good hands. I wish this would have been my dentist experience when I was younger haha.
15 December 2019 5:57
My son is Autistic and the dentist and dental assistants took such good care of him. Called the next day even to ask how he was doing. Little pricey for the services but you know your kids are in good hands. Thanks Ethan's mom.
20 November 2019 19:08
You guys were great, fast and patient with my son today and made it not so scary and enjoyable:)
18 November 2019 9:28
Staff were AMAZING! This was my sons first experience at the dentist and they made it a breeze. The dental assistant was so patient and made it fun for my son, explaining in child terms everything she was going to do, before she did it. Not to mention the waiting room/playground is a good way to shake any pre-appointment jitters. My son looks forward to coming again, thank you!

The care we receive at smile town is over the top! The staff all go above and beyond and clearly love their career! They interact with children at their level and really make kids and parents very comfortable!
17 October 2019 14:53
What a great experience! We wish we would have found smile town years ago! We were blown away how amazing they ALL were with our highly anxious son. We were treated wonderfully! And highly highly recommend visiting this office.
24 August 2019 22:32
Great place, my daughter felt safe and comfortable and the play area is a perfect distraction before appointments.
15 August 2019 14:33
I am searching for a paediatric dentist in the area. After reading the story that other reviewers posted, I am so shocked that a dentist can hold a child hostage to demand $600 from the parents. According to the other reviewer, the original estimate was about $2300 and it went up to about $2900 after the operation. When the parents refused to pay the difference, the office refused to release the child. That sounds ransom and trap to me. Lure the patients with lower estimate, then increase the price significantly after the operation. Refuse to pay? We have your child.

There are many ways to solve a bill dispute. Holding a child hostage is not one of them.

I would suggest the parents to make a formal complaint to Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
12 July 2019 19:44
They do an AMAZING job! I have two children that go there, and everyone has been wonderful from the front desk to the dentists. They explain everything so well, and never make you feel rushed with questions. My only regret is not finding out about this place when they were much younger!
01 July 2019 18:25
Our son needed dental treatment including Root Canal and couple of filling with Anesthesia. The original assessment and cost estimate was provided by Smile Town on March 21 2019. The estimated cost was $2387.00 CAD. While my son was in the treatment room, an office staff said that you can make the payment while my son recover from the anesthesia administered. They said the total cost is $2987.00 CAD. At this time I asked them why and how the amount went up by $600.00. They said the $2387 was only an estimate. I questioned why they did not explained this to me before the treatment. Their answer was that it was explained to my wife during previous visit. I did not quite understand that because this was beyond my logical thinking and expectation as I believed I have the right to know the TOTAL cost of treatment before it is administered. I told them I am ready to make full payment of $2387.00 and not prepared to pay more than that amount. Their reply was " you are not going out with your son without the payment in full or we will call the police". At that time, I asked that I need to see my son. They said you are not seeing your son until the payment is made. My wife start crying and I had no choice but to call the police. I am 49 years old and never before in my life I experienced anything close to this kind of truly unprofessional, unethical and greedy way of treatment by medical professional. These people are like devils in disguise. My son is a special child and he emotionally suffered for more than one hour with pain after treatment as we were prevented from seeing and comfort him. The police officers spent almost 30 minutes to review and discuss the situation with me questioned the lady (I believe she is the office manager, she identified her as Sophia) why they did not adhered to their original estimate. She said some of the issue they identified today only. The police officer said they cannot resolve the issue related to billing and suggested I should go through the court to get the justice. I am assigning one star to recognize the another doctor who was not part of our treatment came and try to understand and explained their process to us. This place felt like a hell to us and I am posting ensure they do not treat other people similar way.

May 29 2019: I thought it is my duty to come back and explain the fact little more when I see the owners of the Smile Town made up their own story: I have complete audio recording of the incident to prove what has happened and I am ready to share it in the social media unless the owner come back with full apology. My son was essentially held by them as hostage to get additional $600 that was not in the original estimate and never explained to me before the treatment. My son underwent physical and emotional "torture" by isolating him from us after he recovered from anesthesia. After 24 hours, he still not fully recovered from the emotional harm that is done by these people. This is the fact and truth. These people has no empathy, no human heart to understand the condition of a special need child. I will go to the court if that is what it takes teach these evil and ill minded people a lesson. He said he is the one called the police, I challenge him to prove that and also prove that they explained the over charge of $600 to me BEFORE the treatment. Thank you.

This place is amazing! They've taken what can be a very scary experience for a child, and turned it into something fun! The staff is absolutely amazing, informative, and professional. During consultations and prior to any procedure, they played with my daughter, she went into her procedure with a smile on her face. I would highly recommend Smile Town to anyone with a little one. We will see you again soon!

My 4 year old son had dental surgery today. Not only was he so brave and amazing, I was so worried about him being put under and knowing an IV would be inserted into his little ankle. The nurse and dentist who attended to him were super awesome and made not only him but also myself feel comfortable. The dentist had paw patrol all set waiting for him and made a bunch of silly jokes. Watching him fall asleep was hard to see but they updated me once they had started and let me know everything was going great and that he was perfect. Once the surgery was done, he was already laying on a bed slowly waking up. The super friendly nurse right away said I could pick him up and sit with him. Holding and hugging my child like a little baby again felt amazing as his little body flopped around lol. We waited 10 minutes and we were dis charged. He is now back to his normal self and doesn’t remember a thing! Thank you for being so good to my little guy
08 May 2019 4:34
READ THE REVIEWS DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. These people scam you. We took our child there for 2 years. Only to find out they recommend unneccessary work. Then make you feel stupid for asking questions. We recieved a huge quote for work to be done to our child. We were unsure, so we took her for a second and even third opinion. Two other dentists told us that the quote they gave us was rediculous. The receptionist is a complete B&%#h. THIS IS CHILD ABUSE.

My two year old son loves this place! They are able to get him to sit and cooperate with his cleaning and exam all while keeping a smile on his face. They also have very helpful tips and advice without being judgemental. Absolutely priceless.

My 4.5 year old is pretty much non verbal autism. She was in agony.we walked in saw play area was exciting for her. When she saw the dental helper she let her brush her teeth no fuss. We thought for sure it was gonna be a battle. She was so comfortable she let the dentist use his pick and mirror in her mouth. It made it a fun experience for her.the service is amazing and staff very friendly.thank you from the Yzermans.

Our daughter had to have emergency dental surgery. Due to this she has a big fear for dentist. This office was amazing with her! They were able to get her to get three exrays taken all with a big smile on her face! Highly recommend smile town and the environment they have for young children!

Our daughter likes going to the dentist.never thought I would ever utter those works. Excellent place to bring your kids
15 February 2019 5:34
My nephew's go to this dentist and I've taken them a few times. It's a great atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. Would recommend this place for the little ones.
02 February 2019 3:52
This office is everything you wish you had when you were a kid! Not only is it fun for them, but the doctors are so great at making your child feel comfortable and at ease. They explain all of your options to you, help send estimates to your insurance, and answer all of your questions about treatment and/or sedation. I'm so glad I found this place. What a wonderful dental office that kids are actually excited to go to! They certainly make your child feel well cared for.

I had a great experience at Smile Town.
They made my daughter feel comfortable and she was excited for the next visit. There is no better place for kids. I highly recommend it.
15 December 2018 17:17
I would definitely not recommend this place. I have two grandchildren that have been seen by them. If we would have known how they treat people we would have gone somewhere else. Look for a place that truly cares for their patients.
14 December 2018 5:03
Parents think twice before sending your children to Smile Town Cambridge. They do not care about your child's well-being. Their first and only concern is money. They use threats and scare tactics to get your money. I would give them a minus rating if I could. The only reason children like going there is because of the "indoor playground" - of course what child would not like this; but this is only a way to trick and hook children and parents. Look for a better place that focuses more on the welfare of your child, and not your money first. My own health has been effected after dealing with this place. This is our experience - I was called to book an appointment for my daughter, an over $4000 appointment; when I told the receptionist that I would call in January to book the appointment, she tried forcing me to make the appointment. I told her I would rather make sure I had the money before booking so that I wouldn't have to cancel (because they will charge you for this as well). She threatened me that she would call Children's Aid for "refusing their service". I was in total shock and very upset. After telling her I no longer want any calls from them, my brother called them, and she freely talked with him - which breaks all confidentiality. She told my brother having no money was neglect, because I could easily get a loan or pay with a visa (apparently she knows everyone's financial situation) - my brother told her my daughter is loved, clothed and fed - she is far from being neglected. If they were so concerned about my daughter and her teeth, then why don't they allow for the insurance company to pay them instead of having the parent pay up front. My child is not their number one priority and neither will your child be. My heart and my stomach have been broken and upset since this horrific experience.

It is an awesome place, I recommend them. I have 6 grandkids and they have fun beside fixing their teeth with smiley personnel.
