As a former employee: they’re cheap.they refuse to buy the relevant software and tools which any reasonable person would assume would be required to offer engineering consulting to the public. You wouldn’t hire a carpenter who doesn’t have a saw and hammer… wOULD you?
Even if they did buy these tools. I’d be skeptical of their employees ability to properly use them. Everyone I knew there had poor technical abilities, bad attitude, and zero personality.

I was super disappointed with my experience at SA. They’re not progressive.they’re reactionary.they respond to what their competitors are doing… and they trail behind.fumbling the coattails of those ahead of them.

They stole my own personal smart Revit Models.when I presented my work to a principal.and advertised the new technology as an internal innovation.

If you’re in the market for consulting engineers.this is not the place.

If I could describe them in one term: bad faith.

I’ve worked for 4 firms big and small.so far and SA was by far the worst.

I was in their design office. Mood was tense and quiet. Not much people are talking and bosses are in closed door cubicles as a traditional office environment. I was excited and had fun talking to associates but with the head, it was toxic and such a deal breaker. It was an earie vibe office environment for me and would think deeply before working in that kind of environment.
